Chapter 183: Reunion On The Plane
Luca was already making a mental note to send Morgan a message the moment they landed.
He was going to have a little talk with that bastard about the private jet.
Just then, a beautiful flight attendant with a graceful figure and delicate features approached them. She stopped beside the sofa and lowered her head slightly.
"Mr. Hale, would you like something to eat?"
"What do you have?"
Luca turned toward her. He hadn’t realized how hungry he’d become.
"We have mousse cake, fresh fruit, cherries, yogurt, and several other desserts."
Only then did Luca realize just how much food had been prepared for this flight.
"Bring me some cherries, two slices of mousse cake, and two cartons of yogurt."
"Of course, Mr. Hale. Please wait a moment."
A short while later, the flight attendant returned with everything he’d requested.
Luca reached over and gently nudged Naomi’s shoulder.
She was wearing an eye mask, but he knew she wasn’t asleep.
The moment the flight attendant asked about her, Naomi secretly pinched Luca’s fingertip.
She wanted some too.
Luca almost laughed.
"Take it off."
Naomi obediently removed the eye mask.
The moment she saw the food arranged on the table, her eyes lit up.
She was just about to thank Luca when her gaze suddenly landed on the flight attendant’s face.
She froze.
Then her eyes widened in surprise.
"Senior? What are you doing here?"
The flight attendant was equally stunned.
"Huh? Mimi?"
It took Raven Green a moment to recognize the junior she’d once known from the same department.
Raven was two years older than Naomi. Back in university, she’d always liked this younger girl with her sweet appearance and gentle personality. She’d even looked after Naomi quite a bit during their time in the student council.
After graduation, however, work had gradually consumed more of Raven’s time. The two had slowly lost contact, eventually becoming the kind of friends who only knew about each other’s lives through occasional social media posts.
Naomi had once posted her livestream room on Instagram, so Raven knew she’d eventually left the flight attendant career to become a streamer.
Beyond that, she knew very little.
Raven wasn’t particularly interested in the livestreaming industry, so she had no idea how popular Naomi had become.
Even if she’d known, though, she probably would’ve reacted the same way.
She would simply have wished her junior well.
"Senior, I didn’t know you worked at Starline now. Weren’t you with Halo Air before?"
Naomi’s eyes sparkled with delight at seeing her old senior again.
"I left about a year ago. Then I joined Starline."
A faint shadow crossed Raven’s expression.
Naomi immediately noticed.
She didn’t want to make her senior uncomfortable, so she smoothly changed the subject.
"Senior, sit with me. We haven’t had a proper chat in ages."
Raven glanced around awkwardly.
She certainly wanted to catch up with Naomi, but she was still on duty.
Before she could refuse, Luca picked up a cherry and tossed it into his mouth.
"It’s fine. Sit down."
Raven hesitated for a moment before nodding.
She walked around the table and sat beside Naomi, keeping her legs neatly together.
Under normal circumstances, a flight attendant would never simply sit beside a passenger and chat with them.
But this wasn’t a normal flight.
It was a private jet.
More importantly, the crew had received a special notice several days earlier informing them that a distinguished guest named Hale would soon be flying with them.
They had been instructed to accommodate his requests whenever possible.
Since Luca had personally asked Raven to sit down and talk with Naomi, there was naturally no reason for her to refuse.
As Luca enjoyed his food, he quietly listened to the two women reminisce about their university days.
They talked about old classmates, embarrassing incidents, and all sorts of ridiculous things that had happened back then.
Eventually, Naomi asked curiously, "Senior, now that you’re with Starline, where’s Senior Becker? Didn’t he come with you?"
"We broke up."
Raven said it calmly, as though she were talking about something that had happened years ago.
Naomi noticed the slight change in her expression and immediately felt guilty.
"I’m sorry, Senior."
"It’s fine."
Raven smiled faintly.
"That’s all in the past. It has nothing to do with me anymore."
She then glanced at Luca from the corner of her eye before turning back to Naomi.
"What about you?"
"Hmm?"
"Tell me about your love life."
Naomi blinked.
"Mine? What is there to tell you?"
Luca was literally sitting right beside her.
Raven’s lips curled into a mischievous smile.
"I mean the kind of love life you have to pay to watch."
She leaned closer and whispered the last part directly into Naomi’s ear.
If this had been high school Naomi, she probably wouldn’t have understood what Raven meant.
But after spending several years at university, she’d learned enough to understand the hidden meaning immediately.
Even if she’d never eaten pork, she’d at least seen a pig running around.
And considering how thoroughly her own cabbage had already been trampled...
How could she possibly misunderstand?
Still, Naomi couldn’t bring herself to answer.
How could she possibly tell Raven about the embarrassing things that happened whenever she and Luca were alone?
Especially the absurd things Luca had made her learn.
Every time she thought she’d finally learned enough...
Luca somehow found another way to defeat her.
Those details absolutely could not leave her mouth.
So Naomi remained silent, desperately trying to maintain a calm expression.
Unfortunately, the tips of her ears were already turning red.
Raven noticed immediately.
Her eyes narrowed with amusement.
’That reaction...’
’This girl has definitely been through some things.’
A warm feeling suddenly filled Raven’s heart.
Her innocent little junior had finally grown up.
Just then, Naomi stretched unconsciously.
Raven’s gaze froze for a moment.
She’d always known Naomi had an enviable figure, but seeing her up close made the difference even more obvious.
Raven’s eyes widened.
’Good grief...’
She instinctively looked down at herself.
Then she looked back at Naomi.
Then down at herself again.
She could practically see her own toes.
Reality was cruel.
Raven puffed out her cheeks and lightly slapped them with both hands.
’Get a grip.’
’Why am I worrying about whether my junior has grown up?’
’I should be worrying about myself first.’
"Senior, what’s wrong?"
Naomi looked at her in confusion.
Raven’s face had somehow gone from red to pale and back again.
"It’s nothing."
She looked away and sighed dramatically.
"I was just thinking about a tragic story."
Naomi tilted her head.
Before she could ask what story Raven was talking about, the flight attendant remembered that she still had work to do.
She couldn’t sit around chatting forever.
After a while, Raven stood up and returned to her duties.
...
Raven returned shortly before the plane landed.
She stood gracefully in front of Luca and Naomi with her hands folded neatly in front of her.
Naomi reached over and lightly scratched Luca’s palm.
"Luca, can I spend a few days with my senior after we arrive?"
Her eyes were filled with anticipation.
"Sure."
Luca agreed without hesitation.
He finished sending the message he’d prepared for Morgan, then looked toward the rest of the crew.
"Starting today, all of you are on vacation for two weeks."
The flight attendants froze.
"Two weeks?"
"Yes."
Luca smiled.
"I’ll cover your food and accommodation in San Fierro. Tourist attractions are included too."
For a moment, nobody spoke.
Then the cabin erupted.
"Wow!"
"Really?"
"Yay!"
"Mr. Hale is amazing!"
The crew members were practically glowing with excitement.
Most of them had worked for years and had never received treatment like this.
Naomi’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Luca.
She hadn’t expected him to give everyone a two-week vacation simply because she wanted to spend some time with her senior.
’He spoils me way too much.’
Raven had the exact same thought.
She looked at Naomi with undisguised envy.
’Seriously...’
’How can someone be this lucky?’
At this point, she was almost completely captivated by the sweetness of it all.
