Chapter 129: Why Stop At One When You Can Have Them All?
The dining table was covered with an irresistible spread. Perfectly braised fish glistened beneath a rich sauce, savory stewed ribs released the comforting aroma of slow-cooked spices, and a sizzling clay pot of shrimp filled the room with a mouthwatering fragrance.
Every dish looked as though it had come straight out of a high-end restaurant.
A warm feeling spread through Luca’s chest.
There was something deeply comforting about returning home after a trip to find someone waiting with a freshly prepared meal. Better yet, there were now two breathtaking women waiting for him.
’Double the happiness.’
"Eat up and make sure you leave nothing behind," Vivienne whispered into Luca’s ear while Naomi was in the restroom washing her hands. "You’ll need to keep your strength up for tonight too~"
Her fingertip slowly traced across the center of his palm, sending a faint shiver up his arm.
This vixen really had no shame.
Naomi was still in the apartment, yet Vivienne had already started teasing him.
"Hold on." Luca blinked in surprise. "Aren’t you going back to your place tonight?"
Vivienne tilted her head, feigning hurt. "What? Do you really want me to leave that badly?"
"Of course not."
Luca answered almost instantly, though an unmistakable spark lit up in his eyes.
’Wait... what exactly does she mean? Is she planning something special tonight?’
The thought alone made his heartbeat speed up. He quickly picked up his glass and drained it in one gulp, hoping the cold juice would calm him down. It didn’t. His throat still felt dry.
If he hadn’t been starving after the flight, he doubted he would have had the patience to sit through dinner at all.
Just then, Naomi stepped out of the restroom, drying her hands with a towel.
Vivienne immediately straightened up as though nothing had happened, her earlier flirtation disappearing without a trace.
Naomi sensed a faintly unusual atmosphere lingering between them, but she simply smiled and took her seat.
"Luca," she said as she carefully peeled a plump shrimp before placing it into his bowl, "the platform’s creator event starts in five days. Should we leave the day after tomorrow?"
Luca thought for a moment before nodding.
"That works. I’ll have the crew prepare the jet and arrange our flight schedule tonight."
Owning a private aircraft made traveling effortless. There was no need to worry about commercial flight schedules or whether first-class seats were available.
He was genuinely looking forward to visiting New Orleans.
It would be his first time there. He had long heard it was one of the country’s great cultural and financial centers, a city where influential people from every industry gathered.
More importantly, several of his largest assets were located there, businesses he technically owned but had never visited himself. The Garden Villa and the towering Imperium Financial Center were both under his name, and it was about time he inspected them in person.
The national headquarters of Apex Legal Group and Twist Streaming Networks were also based there. Altogether, his holdings in New Orleans were worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
’I really have been far too hands-off as an owner.’
This trip would be the perfect chance to meet the senior executives and establish his presence properly.
After dinner, the three of them settled onto the sofa to watch television. They chatted on and off about the upcoming event, completely losing track of time as darkness gradually swallowed the skyline beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Without anyone noticing, a strangely intimate atmosphere settled over the living room.
The soft fragrances drifting from the two beautiful women beside him quietly stirred Luca’s thoughts.
Unable to resist, he reached over and lightly brushed his fingers against Naomi’s slender hand.
The instant their skin touched, Naomi jolted like a startled kitten.
Her delicate shoulders trembled, and she quickly pulled her hand away.
"I... I need to start my livestream!"
The words tumbled out in a rush. Before Luca could react, she hurried off toward her streaming room.
Luca lifted a hand.
He hadn’t even managed to ask her to stay before the studio door clicked shut.
"Vivienne, we..."
He turned toward the red-haired beauty still lounging on the couch.
Vivienne stretched lazily, covering a graceful yawn with one hand before rising to her feet.
"I’m getting sleepy."
She walked toward the guest bedroom.
Luca’s eyes immediately brightened.
He rubbed his hands together with barely concealed anticipation before following after her.
Just as he reached the doorway, Vivienne looked back over her shoulder, flashed him a dazzlingly mischievous smile, and gently closed the door right in his face.
Click.
Luca froze.
’Wha...’
’...What was that supposed to mean?’
Wasn’t she the one who had insisted he needed to "eat well" tonight?
Had he really been the only one letting his imagination run wild?
He knocked softly a few times.
No answer.
After waiting another minute, he finally accepted reality.
He had been thoroughly toyed with by the cunning little vixen.
With a defeated sigh, Luca wandered back into the living room and collapsed onto the sofa. The television continued playing in front of him, but he couldn’t focus on a single scene.
Sleepiness gradually crept over him.
His eyelids became heavier and heavier until they were nearly shut.
Then...
Click.
The guest bedroom door opened.
Vivienne stepped out wearing a thin silk nightgown that flowed softly around her figure. The hallway light outlined every graceful curve beneath the fabric.
Luca was instantly awake.
She calmly walked to the kitchen, poured herself a glass of water, and casually glanced in his direction.
There wasn’t a single word.
Only a teasing smile.
After finishing her drink, she turned around and disappeared back into her room.
The door closed once again.
Luca let out a disappointed sigh.
He considered knocking on her door, but after a moment’s hesitation, he decided against it.
Eventually, he gave up altogether.
’Forget it. I’ll just get some sleep.’
He stood and made his way toward his own bedroom.
As he passed the guest room, however, he noticed something.
A warm strip of light spilled through the narrow crack beneath the door, illuminating the hardwood floor.
His footsteps stopped.
’She... didn’t lock it?’
A slow smile spread across his face.
So that was the game.
Carefully, he pushed the door open.
Vivienne sat against the headboard with a fashion magazine resting in her lap. Her vibrant red hair cascaded over her shoulders like flowing silk as she lazily flipped another page.
"Hey, vixen." Luca grinned as he approached the bed. "I’m here to feed you."
Vivienne looked up and gave him an amused, slightly arrogant smile.
"Go take a shower first," she said. "Then you can eat as slowly as you like."
Luca drew a sharp breath.
His pulse instantly spiked.
Without another word, he rushed into the bathroom.
Only after standing beneath freezing cold water for several minutes did the heat in his body begin to settle.
About ten minutes later, he stepped back out with a towel draped over his shoulders.
The bedroom lights had been switched off.
Only the faint moonlight filtering through the curtains illuminated the room, revealing the outline of someone lying quietly beneath the blanket.
Luca tossed the towel aside and immediately climbed onto the bed.
The figure beneath the covers trembled ever so slightly.
Feeling rather pleased with himself, Luca chuckled.
"You were the one who promised to feed me tonight. Why are you already trembling before we’ve even started?"
As he spoke, he slipped a hand beneath the blanket and gently wrapped it around the slender waist beneath it.
Then he paused.
’Hm?’
Something felt... off.
The build didn’t seem quite right.
A faint sense of confusion crept over him.
Slowly, he pulled the blanket back.
Moonlight streamed through the window, softly illuminating a breathtakingly beautiful face flushed a deep crimson.
It wasn’t Vivienne.
It was Naomi Monroe.
