<Infinite Dendrogram>

Episode XI: The Room of Lethal

□ [Saint Knight] Ray Sterling

Job systems exist in the world of < Infinite Dendrogram >.

Like I'm the [Holy Knight], Tian's got some kind of job.

Exceptions are just starting Infinite Dendrogram, and Tian's kids.

There are so many different types of jobs because they are so widespread in the world.

Even the avant-garde position alone exists in large numbers with my [holy knights], including the knight lineage, swordsman lineage, warrior lineage, fighter lineage, boxer lineage, samurai lineage etc.

There shall be multiple patterns of senior positions in the development system in all of them.

Moreover, they are only about avant-garde combat positions, and there are other rear guards and support systems. Even more like the merchant lineage, there are numerous jobs (basically) that are not good at combat.

Not very much but I can't grasp it.

In fact, the [catalogue], which describes all the conditions for transfer from my brother to a senior position, listed an approaching number of occupations, but I still don't remember them.

Even if there are hundreds of thousands of active < masters > active in < Infinite Dendrogram >, wouldn't one job be less than 100 if divided equally?

Of course there would be a bias in the actual appropriations. Some examples include Luke's [woman] not being liked by the Master.

However, it is true that the number of professions relative to the number of persons is so high that it cannot be compared to the normal MMORPG.

To countless jobs that I can't grasp...... there is one job that I have remembered.

It's [Necromancer].

Features include a wide variety of Conditional Abnormal Magic Skills and Dark Attribute Attack Magic Skills.

And Necromancy... the skill of using MP to tame a corpse.

People and monsters alike are the subject of Necromancer.

Naturally, the more powerful the organism's corpse, the more difficult it is to tame monster.

Conversely, helpless children can be monstered without much effort.

In addition, one of the conditions for moving to senior positions in the Necromancer System, which was listed in the catalogue, was the item "Number of Successes of Necromancers".

it was written in the wiki that some of Tian's criminal necromancers use children and sick people to earn the number of successful "Necromancers" for a career change.

It was also discussed in the comments that "the conditions for transferring to a Necromancer System Super Position are also close to it".

When I read that description, I felt terribly bad and engraved the existence of the necromancer lineage in my memory.

That's how now I remember the existence of the lineage.

While making some reasoning as to why the Gozmaids Bandits were grabbing children... I was moving towards an end to the underground passage.

The underground passage is on the main road and there is no sign of a bandit on the way.

Instead, it was guarded by an adult undead wearing armor, not children.

I guess I dug up the dead when this was an army fort and made them undead.

Or maybe they turned an adventurer or some kind of body into an undead.

I destroyed those undead as well.

Even if they were once human too, they can't stop.

If we stop, the death toll will only continue to increase.

Eventually what arrived was the door at the penetration of the aisle.

The wooden door was hung with a steel padlock, and from the inside there were signs that it did not belong to the dead.

"Huh!"

Shake down the Nemesis of the Great Sword and destroy the wooden door, not the padlock.

As the tree fragments scatter, they jump indoors, check the surrounding conditions, and be alert so that if there are bandits, they can be destroyed immediately.

But there were only children indoors sleeping in cages.

The number of children is seven. Everyone's eyes are closed and they're asleep.

One of them must be Roddy, the rescuer.

Well, I'm not going to help everyone regardless of the quest anymore.

But strangely, I don't see anything in this room but the kids.

"The Bandits aren't even in this room?

"The padlock will be hung. Weren't you letting the undead keep an eye on your kids?

"Maybe."

Be vigilant and check the condition of the children.

I'll get my hands out of the cage and try to shake them gently but there's no sign of waking up.

"Medicine, or the magic of an abnormal system"

"I guess."

Inquisitive, but possibly magical.

I guess it was the same guy who turned the kid into an undead.

These children are waiting for the ransom, and if it doesn't come true, they will be killed and the [Necromancer] will kill them.

Bad chest feces.

Master, to the right.

View the direction conveyed by Nemesis.

There was another door there.

The door is made of iron and the knob is made of iron.

Get close and just turn the knob around a little bit.

From the response around, I found out that nothing was locked.

'Are you going?

Absolutely.

I turn the knob and kick the door open.

I've already smashed through one door.

There's no point in moving there if there's someone out there.

"This is..."

There were people indoors.

It is a boy and seems to fall asleep just like the kids in the front room.

The boy was put to sleep in the center of the room, on what looked like an elaborate magic formation written on the floor.

"... the Lord of this room has always had a good (...) hobby"

Nemesis said so as he seeped anger into his voice.

It's not just about the magic formation on the floor.

Rather, this whole room other than the magic formation on the floor is the problem.

Blood stains that don't disappear by jumping to walls and ceilings.

"Something" peeled on the wall.

White bones stuck in a barrel.

Countless instruments and material-like objects were placed on the desk placed along the wall, but the gaze shifted when he saw the peeling of his right wrist with his fingers increased to twenty.

…………

This would definitely be the [Necromancer] lab that created those undead.

But [Necromancer] doesn't seem to be in person. He's in the Hugo interception, too.

This child was saved on the verge of serving as an experimental bench for Awami [Necromancer].

"What do we do? Do you want to keep the kids safe? Or do you want to discuss the bandits with Hugo upstairs?

The hard part.

Ensuring the safety of your children is paramount, but it is difficult for me to transport the seven unconscious children to the safety zone alone.

I also hesitate to leave my child alone and fight upstairs, if I think of the possibility of being taken hostage.

The line waiting for Hugo to leave everything to him while protecting the children here and annihilating the Bandits also sucks when Hugo loses.

What to do.

'Why don't we just move that kid to that room over there first? I don't know what magic formation this is, but it's not something that has a good impact on putting kids to sleep.'

"Right."

I stepped inside the room to move the magic team child.

I just took a few steps and my legs took a certain thing and I felt uncomfortable.

I know what I stepped on, it's a thick cloth.

At first glance, I thought it was a felt futon, but if I looked closely, it was sewn with sleeves, etc., and I found that it was clothes called robes.

But what made me uncomfortable was not that it was clothing, but that there was something hard underneath it.

I kicked up the robe that was falling on the floor and checked what was under it.

"This is..."

The stiff feeling my feet felt over my shoes, whose identity was bone.

I'm not surprised the human bones are rolling. If it's bone, it's in a barrel over there.

But the bone was half human, and the other half different.

That bone, which is thicker than the human bone, was very similar to the horse bone previously seen in the museum.

"Why are people and horsebones rolling together?

"Isn't that the bone of the human horse race (Centaur)? There's something in my knowledge that would be like this if that bone stayed. '

Human Horse Race... Speaking of which, Gideon had many subhumans, and some species resembled the Greek mythology Centaur.

Indeed, the human bone has no lower body and the horse bone has no head and neck bones.

It would definitely be a human horse race.

But this bone is large in size.

I don't know the average of the human horse race, but this won't mean it belongs to a child.

Why are the remains of the adult Horse Race rolling around here?

"Didn't you happen to get the body and use it to experiment?

"We should still get rid of it. Looks like he was ready for his next experiment."

If you look at the child put to sleep over the magic formation, you'll see that the next experiment is in a state where you can start right away.

Then there's no way I'm keeping the bones I used for the previous experiment rolled on the floor.

At least because he's a loony lunatic to the point of putting other bones in a barrel.

"I think it's barren to try to understand the madman's thoughts."

That's true though.

"... I can't help thinking"

Carrying that child is our top priority now.

I stepped inside the magic formation - slamming the nemesis ahead of time to keep the magic formation on the floor somewhat shattered - and held the child up.

The child's temperature was out cold because he was put to sleep on a cold floor.

But there is breath.

I'm breathing, and my chest is up and down.

Don't worry, I carried the child and tried to leave the room...

The kid was breathing, and his chest was up and down.

But the unspeakable chills are coming from my back.

"Die."

- I heard voices from somewhere.

At the same time, the rubbing sound of the blade pulled by my neck muscle.

If you notice, the child I carried has a dagger in his hand.

Momentum erupted from the severed carotid artery... and I was shot to the stone floor.
