<Infinite Dendrogram>

Episode XIV [Grievance Cow Horse Goes Maize]

□ [Saint Knight] Ray Sterling

All the kids in the basement were awake from sleep by the time we arrived because we defeated the [Great Necromancer].

At first, they thought of us as bandits, scared and crying, but Nemesis and Cuco seemed to believe they could forgive us.

By the way, a boy named Roddy, whom we asked to rescue, was the one who scratched my neck.

He doesn't seem to remember when he was being manipulated himself, so I wouldn't even have to tell him.

That's how I tried to take the kids back to the ground, but Hugo, who saw that [Great Necromancer] lab, was surprised to have the paperwork on his desk.

"Research into resentment, [the Grievance Crystal]... not just. Is this a study of the [fresh golem] creation technique powered by resentment? Huh, it's like that prototype. Are you saying that there are people who think the same thing even when things change? But I didn't know I was gonna make this by myself... horrible guy."

That's what I said and turned the paperwork into an item box.

"Hugo, what's that?

"Oh, the [Great Necromancer] of that human horse that was rooting here, Mays. It's some kind of research report. It was the same concept as the robot I was studying in our clan before. So I decided to take it back instead of souvenirs"

"Robo? What does resentment have to do with Robo?

"Right, let's just try to explain it on the road"

That's what Hugo said and left the lab, so we're going with him.

Okay, here's one problem.

Some of the children were debilitated by the harm they had been sleeping for so long that they could not feel comfortable walking.

That kind of kid decided to put him on silver or carry him with me and Hugo...

"Wow! Wow!"

Yeah, that's awesome. My dog Mimi.

"Next! Next! Whoa!

"It's me!

Wow, Inu Mimi is very popular.

Relatively healthy kids are also looking for Inumimi to carcinoma their mumps.

"It's a big take."

"... I'm glad it helped a little."

These ears, those penguins, they said they'd disappear before sundown. That's a long time to work.

It will be dusk outside already.

"It's strange. Ray, who doesn't have" horseback riding "skills, pulled it back when he first rode, and now he can't even fall off a horse if the kid rides it."

Nemesis is now a human being, too, for the convenience of carrying children. She holds a silver rein that walks wide like a pony even with the two of them on board, but she seems concerned that she doesn't have the appearance of falling horses.

I'm a little concerned there because I don't even think the kid has "horseback riding" skills, but you mean it's not the same as letting him run and take the reins to walk?

"So, let me hear more about your resentment and your robot earlier"

"Oh. My clan is a production clan, but now it mainly produces < Magingear >. [Marshall II], the official mass production machine of Drife, was also the original item we made."

"That's amazing..."

Did you make that robot from scratch?

"Since the completion of [Marshall II], the development of further new aircraft, variation aircraft and additional military equipment was also under way, but plans to merge with other technologies have recently been raised. One of them was the planned development of a fuselage powered by the resentment of the dead"

"I don't care what you think. Why did you try to make something like that?"

"Because Drife's mechanical technology, not just Magingear, presupposed MP consumption. It would also be easier to use prolonged combat action and powerful uniforms if you could substitute this with resentment. That's the resentment motivation concept."

"... by the way, how do you power resentment?

"Huh. Ray is also looking at the answer to that earlier"

"Earlier?"

What are you talking about?

"It's the last magical skill that [The Great Necromancer] used called Deadly Mixer."

"That one."

That was awesome power.

If I hadn't prevented it successfully with Counter Absorption, I would have vanished every fort.

From the power, it was more powerful than Mr. Figaro's chain.

But unlike then, it was critical to prevent Nemesis from evolving into a second phase and also strengthening the Counter Absorption.

"That's a rough business that converts resentment into destructive power, or physical energy, and beats it up. Technicians thought that we should do this on a smaller scale and delicately to motivate resentment. The [living armor] that the soul of the dead attaches and moves is close as an example"

[Living Armor]... Imagine it's like a good idea wandering around in some famous domestic RPG?

"If we do well, we may be able to absorb battlefield resentment and have a weapon that moves semi-permanently. That's why I was working with the famous Necromancer family to study the motivation of resentment."

Hugo separated words there.

So I guess somehow.

"You failed."

"Exactly. The resent-powered prototype that was made was a failure that was difficult to control, yet frequently rampaged. I also helped disassemble and dispose of it. It's just the time to level up [the mechanic]."

"So, the same thing was in that [Great Necromancer]... Maize's research report, too,"

"That's not the same thing. It was only a mechanical weapon that the Triangle of Wisdom was trying to make, but this one is like a [fresh golem]."

[Fresh golem] is a golem made by connecting human and animal corpses. It often comes out in somewhat grotesque RPGs.

Speaking of which... [Zombies] or [Skeletons] weren't there [Fresh Golems].

"But if that [Great Necromancer] was also studying resentment motivation, why didn't he use it? You seem strong for what you're asking."

"Probably because I can't control it"

"What?"

"The problem with resent-powered concepts is that they absorb the resentment around them. This is the neck."

When Hugo says so, he turns the kid on his back into a shoulder car from a bump.

That's how I freed my hands before putting up both index fingers.

"If [the Necromancer] uses resentment as a motive for [living armor] or [fresh golem], this is usually one person's share of resentment and soul in one flesh"

So just spread out your right hand, and show five, or a lot.

"But resentment drivers absorb resentment around them. The resentment of separate creatures one after the other."

That's all I heard, I kind of guessed.

"You're losing control over which resentment moves along."

"Ruri. At least that's what happened to our Clan experimenter. It was a procedure, a program, and they tried to control it, but it didn't smell good."

Like dozens of people manipulating the controller at the same time to move one character in an action game, or what?

"And eventually, I ran wild and went into an action that encompassed the totality of those resentments"

"General?"

"In a nutshell, it's an expansion of resentment. Assimilate yourself by attacking other resentment motives and undead. Next, we attack you in reaction to the resentment of the living…" negative emotions ”. At the end of the day, it becomes gucha gucha (...) and rumbles around"

... not even Roku.

"This plan failed. A lot of resentment is that it's hard to dominate and control a Deadly Mixer or whatever it takes to unleash it."

"I see."

Just then, we went up the basement stairs and returned to the ground, and...

All of us - including me, Hugo, Nemesis, Cuco as well as the kids - shook ourselves the moment we got back on the ground.

A slight vibration that I feel from earlier and a squeal of something I hear from the outside.

Or it wasn't a squeal.

It was a chorus of resentment, crying, whimpering, anger, those negative voices.

That's all, so much so that it can be inferred that there's just some abnormality going on.

"... hey, Hugo"

I have a bad feeling, I speak with a firm chill, not somewhere.

"Something."

"If it's that resentment power, but you can't control it... if you're going to use it out of control, what happens?

"... Huh, it will be decided"

The big door that leads out of the fort, something in the sunset that plugs from it... a shadow of something huge shakes.

"Absorbs surrounding resentment and turns it into power, responds to“ negative emotions ”and kills allowances or gradually creatures, sucking up resentment from it again"

With the mumbling roar, something enormous is transmitted a violent and crazy vibration.

"Repeat that forever... it's the birth of a monster running wild with a semi-permanent institution"

Outside the fort there was something huge - a monster like a hell of a painting.

Outside the main door I could see the legs of a monster made of human corpses connected together.

And I checked the whole body of it, and I was half sure what it was like.

The more [Grieving Cow Horse Gozmaize] over the head and the huge undead appearance displaying < UBM > 's distinctive brand, the more out of the ordinary track I saw.

A familiar face of death mixed with the head of a cow, the silhouette of a human horse, and the “parts” that build the body.

Dead faces emit countless negative words from everything...... or even unspoken sounds.

And I realize with a dead face, most of those are members of the Gozmaids Bandits defeated by Hugo's [Marshall II]. If you look closely, there are faces of the people you saw in Gideon.

I was convinced that it was all made of the bodies of the Gozmaids Bandits.

"... I see it's pretty much the same as the completion projection"

Hugo retrieved the documents that had been left in the item box earlier and was reading them.

There was still an undead figure on there with countless dead faces in bull-headed manhorses.

"... you mean when you die, it was a calculation to sacrifice all the Gozmaids Bandits"

"Or maybe it was supposed to be made of nearby corpses that just happened to grab the bodies of the Bandits. Either way, that cowhead seemed definitive and ingredient."

It's bullhead from the blueprints.

"" "FGSFSDWSSDSDEWDASAAAAAAAA - -!!" "

Huge undead - [Gozmaize] is stubbornly crushing something while raising an unspoken roar.

The child with us was about to cry out in fear at the roar and the revelation of violence.

But Cuco was forgiving "I'm not frightened," as she embraced them to protect the children.

"That's..."

What [Gozmays] was breaking was Hugo's ride [Marshall II].

It was originally heavily damaged, but now it doesn't fasten the prototype anymore.

Still, [Gozmays] won't stop attacking [Marshall II].

If you're saying that's something that works with resentment motivation, you're in a state of rampage with countless resentments right now.

It seems like it's going to be a mess around when it comes to runoff, but oh and only [Marshall II] 's destructive activity on the wreckage continues.

Could it be that the majority of those who became that material have a grudge against Hugo and [Marshall II], so their behavior is unified?

"It was me and [Marshall II] who killed so many of them. It's only natural that they should be targeted."

I haven't forgotten my lifelong grievances even in that state.

... No.

Is there nothing left but resentment?

"Huh, Rodin's Hell Gate itself."

"It's horrible when it comes to yu-go"

Hell Gate. It's exactly that sculpture itself that looks at a mass of dead sinners like this.

But you can't be the one to think forever.

"What do we do, Master? You want to take that down?

"If I can defeat you, I want to defeat you."

I feel it on my skin. That one is stronger than [Gardranda].

There is also a power difference in [Gardlanda] to the point where you are confident that you will do it 10 degrees and lose 10 degrees.

"... it's against the rules to make < UBM >"

"Normally, I can't make it. There's someone I know who can do something similar to this to a higher standard, but even that person has never been able to make < UBM > before."

"What?"

"I make as much if < UBM > can mass produce it in the first place. Because if you defeat them, you'll get MVP benefits."

Do you think you can make all kinds of items like my [armor]?

"That [Grieving Cow Horse Gozmaize]... would have been made of overlapping coincidences of poor nature"

Coincidence?

"First of all, the place is bad. This is itself an abandoned fort on the old battlefield. There are still as many corpses and resentments at the bottom of the earth."

Hugo points to the ground, then to Hugo himself.

"The next thing I know, I wiped out the Gozmaids Bandits. That led to the sprinkling of fresh corpses of evil men with strong resentments around them. That's one tissue full of corpses. Some of them were quite powerful [fighters] Goz"

I'm the next one to be pointed at.

"Then Ray hunted down that [Great Necromancer] maize and made him use Deadly Mixer, a medium for his resentful, condensed magic item [the Grieving Crystal]. I prevented that in itself, but a high concentration of resentment that I couldn't use up in Deadly Mixer scattered through the atmosphere. And the resentment of the [Great Necromancer] maize who died shortly after."

And point to that [Gozmaize].

"Finally, the resent-powered undead manufacturing magic described in this report -" Gludge Undead Creation "is activated. Generate a resent-powered [fresh golem] using surrounding resentment and corpses. However, too many conditions created an undead that far exceeded the original specifications, reaching the < UBM > range due to its out-of-standard and unworldly nature. If you change the way you see it, you can also call me, Ray, and that [Great Necromancer] cooperating undead,"

... sucks.

"So, what do we do?

"There is too little power. He's a heavily loaded opponent to defeat with two senior positions. As it stands, it doesn't go as well with Cuco... my weapon is that way"

Hugo sighed as he watched [Marshall II], one part at a time dismantled to the point where he could hold it in his hand.

As with [Gardranda] when I say, I have the same hands to target the destruction using "Revenge is on me"... but it's hard to be clear.

[Gardranda] Since the battle, I have also gained strength through some leveling, [armor] wearing, and mastery of "Another Silver Light of Holiness".

But the difference between [Gardranda] and him is too great in the first place.

Lightly quadrupled than [Gardranda] just in size. It is about the height of an eight-story building and the thickness of its arms and feet is out of step. Status naturally, too, above.

I'm not sure I can stand it until I charge enough damage to defeat that one.

There's only one more Counter Absorption stockpile left.

You will definitely die first.

'That's right....... hmm?

Hey, what's up?

'No, now the strange feeling... has disappeared. Are you out of your mind'

"Ray, what we need to do now is take these kids, then the kids in the carriage, and get out of here."

Hugo points to the two carriages in which the newly abducted children are riding.

The carriage other than the leading carriage that Hugo destroyed with his first blow is safe.

Fortunately during the misfortune, [Gozmaize] was concerned about the destruction of [Marshall II], so no harm seemed to have been done to the children.

Or because the child inside is asleep and doesn't emit “negative emotions” that feed him?

Whatever it is, I'm glad you're safe.

"Can the carriage..."

Horses are also connected to the two carriages in which the child is riding.

You'll be able to run right out.

... Speaking of which, you didn't attack the horse.

You're only detecting humans?

"Fortunately, me and Cuco have" piloting "skills. This can also be applied to some extent in carriages, so you can just split into two carriages"

"What about after you ran away? Leave it alone and you won't be busy."

"Communicate the information to the Adventurer Guild and recruit reinforcements. The target is UBM. There will be a lot of MVP rewards to target. I can't do the job of telling Dreiffe, so I'm gonna ask Ray to do it."

"Okay. Then anticipate the timing to the carriage, ugh......!

Things moved when I tried to work out an upcoming plan and anticipate an opportunity to take action.

That was a long way off.

I didn't consider the case that could happen.

"Huh, oh come on, oh come on..."

Out of the carriage, I woke up. A case of a child coming out.

"GUSDSDCAASWGBASAA!!"

[Gozmaize] turns around, shouting a voiceless scream.

There was a living human child there.

Crying, there was a child who emitted a “negative emotion” called fear.

"GOLFAASAAAAAAAA!!"

Was it action as a general thrust of resentment, or due to the lifelong “habit” of a particular resentment?

[Gozmaize] stretched his right arm to the child, drooling from his mouth all over his body.

The intention was clear.

"Chi!!"

I was jumping out the door sooner than I thought about what to do.

And point the left hand armor at him.

"Purgatory Fire - All the best!!"

My left hand [armor] sucks up my MP with fierce momentum, and at the same time converts it into flames and spits it out.

It is inferior to the former Special Attack of [Gardranda the Great Ghost], but if it is a coarse undead, a hundred bodies are just a giant flame that can be burned down.

The flame struck directly at the right arm of [Gozmaize], which was stretched out by the child.

"YEEGGAAAAXASAAAFFAAAAAA!?"

Is it still painful to be a mass of corpses, [Gozmaize] screamed as he swung his burning right arm around the universe.

"Roa!!"

Flesh into his legs in that gap and slap the Nemesis of the Great Sword wrapped around Sacred Another Silver Light on his left forefoot.

The light of the undead killings also scratched the flesh and bones inside as they mutilated the dead faces of the Gozmaids Bandits.

He didn't break his thick legs, but he lost his balance.

'The feeling of slashing sucks......!

Simultaneously with the words that Nemesis threw away, a similar ground sound rocks the perimeter when [Gozmaize] collapses and the building collapses.

To some extent, it is right on target and falling in the opposite direction to the carriage.

"Hugo!"

I scream for Hugo.

"We'll attract him! Leave this place to us and go first!

"Ray! But!

I know what you're trying to say.

If the carriage leaves now, I won't get away from this guy.

I have silver, but I can't ride, and I can't get away from him on people's feet.

Death penalties are inevitable, and you're going to break your promise to Marie and the others.

But still.

"This is all I have now! Get the kids out of here!

Setting up a "Silver Light" nemesis, the head fell and came close to the ground - cutting it into both eyeballs.

Buy time for Hugo and the kids to escape, but live to the fullest... and spare no effort to win.

"GEEEHAAAAAAAASAGAA!!"

Spread rotten fluids from both eyes and [Gozmaize] scratches on the ground, feeling unusually large.

Because of the giant, the vibration alone is a kind of disaster.

"This guy's body, brittle than I expected"

"Because of the mass of people's corpses, they don't seem to be as strong... but"

"... I thought we'd be doing this much."

When the flames disappeared from the arms that were supposed to have burned, new rotten meat skins appeared from under the carburized skin.

The wound immediately blocks while spreading cloudy body fluids as well.

The torn eyeballs are falling out and new eyeballs are beginning to be produced.

"Auto Repair,"

You use Silver Light, which inflicts irreparable scratches on the undead, but it plays regardless.

"Apparently, resentment power and power are being used to maintain and repair that giant."

Fully repair all that damage in seconds.

Immortal.

"He's already dead."

"If you're talking, yeah!

With him down, he jumps his left hand backwards, waved at me, dodging.

You haven't recovered your eyesight yet. It's an attack, but you're aiming closer to me.

I focus on dodging while distancing myself from the carriage.

"What to do. I opened the end of the war, but as it stands, I have no hitter. '

"Playback speed is too fast to make little sense for a decent attack. Suppose I could..."

Same hand as when you defeated [Gardranda the Great Ghost].

The only way to hit the steeplechase is to hit the most powerful "Vengeance is on me".

"It's hard to charge, though."

The defense was lower than I thought, but if I saw it go wild, I would know the power.

Eat a decent direct hit and you're out in a shot or two.

"At least if Counter Absorption counts in full, is this feeling again"

"What's up?

'Same as just now. A strange feeling on my internal damage accumulation counter... disappeared. What do you mean? "

"Maybe [Gozmaize] is doing something. Be careful."

"I know."

Watch the carriage at the edge of your sight as you talk to Nemesis.

I'm sitting in a carriage lord's seat with two Hugo and Cuco, trying to move them.

Cut your legs off again so you don't get attacked before you move...?

Strange, I don't have [Gozmaize] movement.

Somehow stop that movement.

- He looked down at me and stared at me with both fully healed eyes.

"GIIINNNNNASAAASAAAASADWDWDAAQA!!!!"

He sees me, what he thought, what he remembers, and raises a roar of fury from all over his body.

"... oh well"

Yes, [Gozmaize] had hit Hugo's [Marshall II] anger according to the resentment of those who became ingredients.

But in the first place, this guy is a monster created by that [Great Necromancer], and his resentment is mixed.

Then the best target for him is...

"It's up to me!"

[Gozmaize] rises the forefoot of the human horse and stands up.

Shortly afterwards, the front legs of the columns are beaten to me and to the ground at high speeds.

I dodged aggressively, but the blow smashed and submerged a section of his forefoot landing site.

If you try to target that foot with a big sword, now it's not like it was earlier, and your foot moves as fast as it kicks up and you aim at me.

"Guh!?"

I took it in the belly of the great sword, but with that blow it blows up about six meters.

Damaged by HP as well.

"... you're moving a lot differently than you just did."

It's not just a rampage, it's definitely moving to kill me.

Apparently, I turned on the inside of him myself.

"Trouble."

"... but thanks to you, I saw one light."

"Where?"

Answer Nemesis's words as he also checks on the carriage at the edge of his sight.

The carriage moves away from here. Success first?

You talked about my damage accumulation counter the other day.

"Oh."

'Now that I'm damaged, I know who that feeling is. That's right, there's already a lot of damage done to him... no, because it's accumulated enough to say it's the biggest thing I've ever done.'

"What?"

Maximum amount you've ever had?

Why? Why?

We've just started a war, haven't we?

"That's the skill that [The Great Necromancer] used in the end to become the Deadly Mixer. That absorbed damage in Counter Absorption, but I didn't shoot Vengeance in the end. It's still there. '

"No, that's crazy. That [Great Necromancer] and Gozmaize are different...... well"

Understand.

[Great Necromancer] Maize and [Grieving Cow Horse Goes Maize] are different.

But “not entirely different".

"Does he also have that [Great Necromancer] grudge in him? Therefore, damage accumulation is still being applied. Except it's out and gone. Probably only works when his resentment is dominating and moving that body."

Dozens of resentments (controllers) in one [Gozmaize (body)].

Only when the [Great Necromancer] Maize resentment is moving that [Gozmaize] do I have the trump card to take him down, huh?

"I see."

All you have to do is find his core and slap "Vengeance Is On Me" at a time when Maize's resentment is moving?

There are still many challenges.

But it's not impossible anymore.

That is.

"It's Possible You Can Beat That Undead"

"Superior."

Then there's only one thing I should do.

Same as before.

Same as when [Demidragworm] or [Gardranda the Great Ghost].

I bet everything on this possibility.

"GERRRRUUAASDSAAAAA!!"

Distracted by the growl of a guy with nothing but resentment, his whole body's mouth is squealing words.

Forgive, kill, take, kill all, Gideon, destroy, eat, devour.

I can hear all those words.

I guess these men used to think about that all the time, when they were people, and now that they've turned them into giant monsters.

Then......

"[Grievance Cow Horse Gozmaize]. The beasts who once tormented the children, took many lives, and now avenge their lives again '

With the words of Nemesis, point the black sword at him.

I won't let you take anyone's life any more.

I stare and proclaim into the eyes of a man who is far away.

"You will be defeated by us."

To be continued
