<Infinite Dendrogram>

Episode 32: The Miracle Shield

□ [Saint Knight] Ray Sterling

"Louie! Where! I'm here to pick you up!!"

I call Louis, who should be somewhere out loud, as I run around the village of Torne.

But all that sounded inside the village was the sound of the house burning patsy. [Monochrome] 's laughter, which had previously been heard in a hustle, was also somehow deafened from the previous moment.

Calling doesn't return anyone's voice.

"Damn! At least if Silver was alive, I could turn faster......!

Silver, which ceased to function in the previous raid on Sol Crisis, has not yet recovered.

I'm running on my own feet, but that's also limited in my AGI, which hasn't even reached the 500 mark.

"I already said it would be his offensive altitude...!

The [monochrome] above has already returned to a height close to the first illumination altitude.

There is no longer a respite.

I have to run as fast as I can for a second and find Louis.

"Ray!"

Such folds, nemesis popped out of the crest.

The fact that nemesis has always emerged in the crest that has been analyzing the skills of the third form......

"Nemesis! You're done analyzing!

"Oh! Done!

The result of the analysis was whether we could fight that [monochrome] or not, betting all of it.

We'll get a report from Nemesis while we run for Louis.

"Let me tell you something first. Third form of skill, this has a winning eye for that [monochrome] (...)"

"... right!

"Uhm. But this time it's still a stretch. The details of the skills I have analyzed…"

I heard more about the third form of skill from Nemesis.

That may indeed have been a blow reaching that [monochrome], but as Nemesis put it, it was also a sweep.

Whether my limits are first or his, that's the kind of skill that makes it a battle.

"This may or may not arrive. It's all about how much he attacked..."

When Nemesis nearly said that much - the sky glowed.

Light-emitting phenomenon from above.

We knew so much about what it meant that we didn't like it on the sky.

That is, the signal of heat ray irradiation of [monochrome].

Yes, he's already got the ground in range.

"Ray!"

Nemesis becomes a third form of circular shield and tries to protect me.

But the hotline never poured down on us.

It was a stone windmill cabin a kilometer away from us that brought down the hotline.

"No way......!

I felt chills at the sight and I moved my legs desperately and ran out to the windmill shed.

Please, with the hope that you won't be there.

◇ ◇ ◇

□ Torne Village/Windmill Hut

Lewis didn't know what had happened to him.

Lured out by [Monochrome], the sky glowed, feeling shock and heat, smelling burning flesh and blood.

I just can't even grasp my condition for too abrupt and glaring a change.

Now all I can hardly tell is that I'm falling to the ground.

I couldn't open my eyes to see if there was coal in there, and I felt only the cold on my back I put on the ground and the heat stroking my cheeks.

Louis had never lived before and had never been burned, but with a hazy head he wondered if it felt like this.

(.................. but)

But for some reason... I remember not only the heat, but also the “warmth”.

Lewis is falling on his back to the ground, but something warm is there, like covering him on that Lewis.

And it... it was something I missed and smelled somewhere.

(What was that... this...)

Lewis thinks with a hazy head, trying to remember that, which should be very familiar.

I knew the answer right away.

"GLUWO"

".................. ah"

Some kind of outburst covered in myself, just a whistle.

That was it, and Lewis quickly figured out who he was dealing with.

Louis' hazy consciousness is determined, and he rubs his eyes with his fingers in a daze and drops the coal in the eye lid.

That's how he opens his eyes, and Louis sees it.

"Gringham.................."

There was his “family” who was supposed to be gone.

He suffered over Lewis, using himself as a shield, and saved Lewis' life from the [monochrome] hotline.

Gringham continues to protect Louis while still bathing countless [monochrome] hotlines on his back, still not giving him one of the bitter squeals.

Lewis is alive because [monochrome] targeted him and there is still no scratch... that's why.

That was inherently impossible.

At this time, the law (rule) of "six months after Infinite Dendrogram, the organism in [Jewel] will be freed" has been implemented.

That a monster who is supposed to return to the field if liberated will return to the place where he once lived with the Master of his own volition.

That a monster who no longer received anyone's thyme stood up and sheltered people.

None of this is possible if it's normal.

But the impossible is in a row...... I just saved Louis' life here.

There are no words to describe it other than… "miracles”.

What made it... nothing but a "bond”.

Sijima left < Infinite Dendrogram > six months ago.

Both Yuno, who is and Gringham, who is a horseman, disappeared together.

But still... the bond between them and their family was never broken.

"Gurin, Gamu..."

In tears, Louis called the name of his own family.

Louis was crying, as he sneezed his face and found the treasure he had lost.

"GLUWOO"

Gringham responds by ringing briefly.

I would have the pain of a hotline burning my back, but I was responding just like I once did, not showing it to Louis.

The separated family was reunited here.

"KYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

But even though Lewis' life was saved by Gringham, the situation hasn't improved.

“Octopus" being burned without even trying to avoid his own hotline… [Monochrome] sounds like a gringham.

That's what the laugh says.

"I want both the big“ sweet potatoes ”and the little“ sweet potatoes ”to burn together and show despair".

"GLULULULU......"

Gringham had no hitter in the [monochrome] attempt to take Lewis' life.

He was a powerful monster, but only an onshore creature.

His claw fangs are on the earth and very far from reaching the height of heaven. As an organism, you can't defeat [monochrome] in Gringham.

So he had no choice but to cover up and hide Louis in a better physique than elephants and protect Louis' life using HP as a shield.

Yes, I can't defeat [Monochrome] to Gringham.

Assuming there was a sizima who was his lord, it would be the same thing.

In them, there's no hitter.

Before much more, Gringham would die and become the dust of light, and then Louis would be burned.

They just wait for death, and if the "miracle” doesn't happen again, they just die.

That's why Gringham, who had his first miracle, wishes.

- Oh, please.

- You can feed my life.

- So, please.

- Just a miracle to protect my little family.

- I want you to wake me up.

Like picking up his wish like that, [Monochrome] shoots a further hotline into Gringham's back.

That's something that saved more energy and increased penetration than any heat line ever released.

Throughout Gringham's giant, baking Lewis protected by him was also possessed with a power that was sufficiently possible.

"GLUWOOO......!

Gringham has a feeling from the signs of energy emitted from above that it is not comparable to the heat line up to the previous point.

Strengthen yourself and prepare for the hotline all the time with "at least stop on this one".

But it would also be pointless resistance.

The meat shield can't prevent that hotline.

Sure, both Gringham and Lewis die.

But...

- I'm gonna borrow your back.

That said, the man who jumped on Gringham's back on the verge of a [monochrome] penetrating hotline hitting him directly had a black shield.

He put the shield up in heaven - he received a downpouring hotline.

The hotline cannot penetrate the shield, and the hotline diffused on the surface of the shield burns and melts the building that was around Gringham.

At the same time, however, his body, with a shield that has been subjected to heat rays and elevated, is also burning.

With thermal conduction, with radiation heat, his meat burns.

Still, he keeps putting up his shields - protecting Gringham and Louis.

Eventually, the irradiation of the heat line stops.

The gap between the hotlines he inadvertently creates, protecting the lives of Gringham and Louis.

Perhaps that was the time [monochrome] was charging to unleash a powerful hotline again.

In that gap, he opens his mouth.

"Do you hear me, [Monochrome]"

[Monochrome] The laughter is still heard in his ears.

But I don't know if his words have reached [monochrome].

"Do you really see your eyes looking down from the sky?

Still, he keeps stating the words, the questions that come out of his heart and - the proclamation (...).

"There's nothing you can break here."

Is this the place where he is?

Or the burning village of Torne.

Or the “miracle” itself that a family member did.

"I won't let you take anyone's life anymore."

The village of Torne, where calm time was flowing, was in mourning, many were hurt and the lives of Louis and Gringham are still threatened.

But I won't let him lose it as one more thing, he says.

So he - Ray Sterling, with all his thoughts, proclaims the word.

"-" Come on, monster. The miracle shield is here. ""

That was the word in Lewis' memorabilia with Sijima.

Sijima's words once challenged the monster's army to save the lives of Louis and Farica, who were attacked by inescapable “despair”.

Ray dared to declare a showdown with [Monochrome] before his words made “miracles”.

With the determination to defeat the hopelessness (monochrome) of trying to take the lives of the Lewis, as they once did in Sijima.

That proclamation triggered - the last clash between "indomitable” Ray Sterling and [Black Sky Dead Monochrome] began.
