The capture of the bridge does not mean that the fighting is over, and there are many German soldiers across the bridge. However, the German soldiers who lost their land were no longer able to resist the attack of the 2nd airborne battalion.

After 12 hours of intense fighting, the 2nd airborne battalion finally crushed the last 300 Germans south of the Rhine in the evening. Approximately a hundred German soldiers were killed on the spot, the rest were all captured, more than half of them killed on the spot, and only a hundred survived under the strict custody of British paratroopers.

At this time, the officers and soldiers of the 2nd Airborne Battalion had been in heavy combat for four days and four nights, during which they had had had very little rest time and had long been exhausted. But they can't rest on it.

Because Frost finally knew from a captured German officer that just a short time ago, the German 2nd Armoured Division had returned home to renovate and was passing through Arnhem, a whole two tank divisions were standing in clusters in the Anheng area, rather than an infantry regiment they thought. The paratroopers are much better equipped than ordinary infantry, but far worse equipped than the latter, and the gap lies in the heavy fire configuration. After all, no one can jump with artillery tanks.

The eventual defeat of Camp 2 in the battle for the market garden was not due to the poor numbers, but most importantly to their lack of heavy firepower support. An effective long-range strike by the Adventurer Squad suppressed each other's heavy firepower, giving the 2nd Airborne Battalion a chance to strike. In this regard, the two sides are mutually reinforcing.

Now Frost needs Shen Yi to help them retrieve more heavy weapons and prepare for the battle that follows.

With his powerful impact, the floods interrupted dozens of giant trees, all piled up on the pavement, and a small number of mines were placed in various locations on the road, hidden beneath some giant trees.

Four hours later, on a road stretching up to one highway, either a trapped pit or a raised steel barrier, it will be a painful journey to hell to wait for the Germans when their tanks arrive.
