Chapter 417: New Strategy
Margaret went ahead and revealed everything that she had found out about Michael. At a time like this, it was obvious that she could not hide anything. Otherwise, the consequences would be anything but simple.
Of course, there was no way that she was going to reveal the fact that it was due to obsession that she had made the previous suggestion. Regardless, she had already found a way out of the situation that she was currently facing.
Even though she had not managed to find much information about Michael, there were a lot of things that left questions. Yes, the information about Michael could not be easily found online.
That was something that she had found out when the investigation was being done. According to the experts that were looking for the information, the moment that they tried to upload Michael’s information online, it would mysteriously vanish.
It was as if the information was suddenly attacked by a virus, completely deleting it from the database. There was no way to back up the information, and it just needed for the information to be uploaded once again.
But still, each and every time that the information was uploaded, it would vanish. Though, there was one thing that remained, that was the fact that Michael’s basic information was never deleted.
The methods used to delete the information was definitely not something that an ordinary force could possess. Because of this, she believed that there was a possibility that Michael was linked to the government.
As for how he was related to the government, she was not sure. But definitely, she believed that it was impossible for a private institution to be capable of doing this.
Anyway, from the information that she had found out, it was clear that Michael was just an ordinary person a few months ago. He had a tough life, working for gangsters after he lost his parents.
But suddenly, after he was arrested, funnily, by his girlfriend, everything changed. He suddenly possessed money that he previously did not have.
He possessed skills that he did not previously have. He could do things that nobody had ever seen him do ever since he was young.
By going to Drenn city, it was not impossible to be able to find out the information on Michael. Yes, he could hide everything online. But what about those people that had seen him throughout his childhood?
Therefore, it was quite shocking that Michael suddenly transformed within just a few days. And within just a few months, he was already among the elite in the nation, or even in the world.
The type of background that was backing him, it was big. And this was something that Margaret was entering to use as a leverage.
She understood her father quite well. If it was something that brought no benefit to the family, and could even damage the reputation of the family, he would not agree.
But for something like this, associating themselves with someone who possessed such an incredible background, everything could be done.
Margaret believed that even if Michael wanted her to be his wife, this old man would definitely make sure that it happened. At least, from her understanding of Elvis, this old man never really cared about the feelings of the people around him.
All that he cared about was the development of the family. Everything else could be ignored, if it did not affect the family.
As she revealed everything, Margaret felt guilty. She understood, by doing this, she was sacrificing Rachel. For her own future, for her own happiness, she was sacrificing Rachel’s happiness and future.
But as she thought about it, she realized, there was no need to think much about this. Yes, Michael already had a girlfriend, and clearly, he was not going to break up with her that easily.
Therefore, it was impossible for Rachel to become Michael’s main wife. But even then, becoming his mistress, she would definitely be able to gain a lot of benefits.
All the wealth that Michael had, she would definitely have a share. Additionally, the influence that Michael possessed, she could also use that.
With all those benefits, it was impossible for her to end up suffering. Yes, her status would be beneath someone else, but in front of benefits, did something like that really matter?
Still, she understood one thing, they needed to convince Rachel. They could not force her to do what she did not want. That was of course unless they received Michael’s favor.
If that was not the case, and they forced Rachel to do what she did not want to do, and she gained Michael’s favorite, things could easily go wrong. What if she asked Michael to do her a favor, and destroy the Rico family?

Elvis was silent for quite a long while after listening to this. At the same time, he realized, the person that Margaret was talking about was related to Sky Technologies.
That company, it had already been making huge waves recently. And from his prediction, he believed that it would continue making big moves in the near future.
He had already dug out the information related to Sky Technologies. From the information that he had acquired, it was clear that previously, this was just a small company at the provincial level.
It was obvious that the technology that it was showcasing was not something that had been researched within that company. Instead, the technology had already been researched in advance, and the company was just being used to release it.
And the level of the technology that was being revealed by that company, even though it had not yet reached an alarming level for the big companies, it was still shocking.
From his observation, it seemed that with each product that this company launched, the level of the technology involved in the product increased by a certain margin.
As he thought about this, he looked at Margaret and nodded. It seemed that the judgment that he had previously made was right. If he had allowed Margaret to get married to someone, the family would have lost a lot.
At least, by the time that they came to find out that Michael was not simple, it might be too late. But because of Margaret, they had found a chance. Now, it was all just a matter of working towards the goal.
"Do you have suggestions for how to make this work? If this kid really possess such a background, there is a great possibility that he is also in the know about mutants.
And as you know, the higher the influence of a force within this world, the higher the level of the serum that they can gain access to. If we can associate ourselves with him, there is a high chance we can get high level mutation serums." Elvis asked, a slight frown on his face.
"At the moment, I’m still thinking about the possible solutions to this. Currently, I believe that targeting his girlfriend is something that should never be considered at all.
From the previous interaction with him, I can clearly tell that he loves and cares about his girlfriend. Therefore, if we try eliminating her, and he knows about it, we will not be able to carry out the subsequent plans before he deals with us.
Hence, I believe that it would be much better if we can convince Rachel to take the initiative. She doesn’t have to replace Kate, Michael’s girlfriend. Instead, she just has to associate herself with him, even if she has to take a lower position.
The issue here is that Rachel does not want this. Additionally, we cannot force her to do it if she doesn’t want. Otherwise, she could easily turn against us once she gets together with Michael." Margaret shook her head as she explained.
Elvis understood the point immediately. But, he was not sure how he was supposed to convince Rachel about this. If she held a new resentment towards them, it would go against what they aimed for.
Almost a minute later, he said, "Okay, go and think about it. If I find a solution, I will let you know. But if you get good ideas, make sure to tell me. We have to make things happen as fast as possible.
Since we were able to find out this information, I believe that other forces have already found out as well. Therefore, if we delay, and someone else beats as to it, especially if it is an enemy, we will not have a chance."
Margaret immediately agreed. She also understood this. And of course, she had a reason why she did not suggest any other young lady within the family to give an attempt at winning Michael over.
After all, she was mainly doing this because of her obsession. If it was someone else within the family who succeeded, she would have failed to achieve her intentions.
Minutes later, after she had gone back to her place, she found Rachel. It seemed that Rachel had already known about Margaret going to see Elvis, and she came back.
Probably, she believed that Elvis would not agree to the proposal that Margaret had made.
Despite this, she was still frustrated and angry at Margaret for the suggestion that she had made. Therefore, even after she saw Margaret coming in, she ignored her.
Margaret did not react to this. She just went ahead and sat down next to Rachel. But the girl moved away, as if she did not want to be close to Margaret.
Margaret did not try chasing her. Instead, she just said in a clam but low voice, "Rachel, we need to talk."
