Instant Death

17 stories I don't care about the eyeballs themselves.

By the time the Night Fog and the others boarded the train departing at noon, Georges of the First Guard had come to the castle of the lord with his captain, Edelgart.

A flat square on the rooftop of the castle. Georges and Edelgart there. And the lord was waiting.

Georges and Edelgart are unarmed and dressed only in military uniforms. The lord was wearing fancy clothes that seemed golden.

"As for last night, is it like coming all the way to Sage?

Edelgart was just concerned that he no longer had a clue to the tissue behind him.

The guys who didn't show their tails inside caught up with a prey dressed as incompetent Japanese. But I didn't get a clue.

"Isn't that possibly bothering you? There's been an unexplained mass death."

Georges was frightened.

Ten people have been killed in the case under investigation. Generally speaking, it wouldn't be strange to be seen as a major incident.

"To the extent that criminals are dead in these local cities?

"It will be a way of dying rather than what the dead do. There are various possibilities, such as plague and poison gas. I don't think it's surprising that the wise men who govern this world have taken an interest."

"Still, I don't think Sage cares enough. Well, I guess I can't help thinking about it here. We can't possibly understand what Sage thinks!

Edelgart strained his chest, but Georges couldn't figure out why he was bragging.

"You guys... keep it big in front of the wise guys, huh?

Says the lord next door.

Lords and guards are not in a direct upward or downward relationship. Because the guards also have a role to play in controlling the Japanese. In other words, a lord who is Japanese and a sage's squire can be the subject of an investigation by a guard.

"Thought we were the only ones ordered to appear?

"Well, you're arriving at my castle. Why don't you say hello?

"Hmm. You know what?"

The story does not continue, and an awkward silence comes.

After a while, the disc came down more than the sky.

The wise men are on a floating continent. This flying airborne is mainly used to travel to and from the ground.

A silver disc lands on the roof and the hatch opens.

A woman in a bright red dress stepped down to the roof.

Sage Rain. He was a sage guardian of the land, with the title of grandson of the Great Sage.

"Welcome Hard"

Rayne spoke with dignity and came to the lord.

"Long time no see, Yahiko. Are you doing well?

"It's been a while. Dear Lingyun (Rain), Nothing wrong with that."

It seems that Rain and his lord, Yahiko, have been friends since he was a wise candidate.

"Are you Edelgart? I read the report. Take him to survival."

"Ha! We're bringing you to this castle"

Edelgart replied with a salute and led Rain into the castle.

Georges moved into a room in the castle.

There is a simple bed where the beast man is often found.

It's the only survivor of last night's incident. There is no particular trauma. However, my eyes, ears and nose were not functioning and I couldn't help hearing the circumstances.

A wise man said he wanted to see this beast man. For that reason the Georges had come to this castle.

Rayne approached the dog beast man and stared intriguingly.

"Hmm. Doesn't look particularly problematic"

Rayne scratches the eyelids of the Beast Man. My eyeballs are not crushed.

But in an attempt to get direct sunlight coming in through the window, that pupil didn't change a tingle.

"Yes, I did the treatment to ask about the situation, but it doesn't show signs of recovery."

"The report says you couldn't do the restorative magic, could you?

"Yes, you're right."

Having heard Georges' answer, Rayne put his eyelid open finger straight into the orbit.

"Master Sage!?"

"I'm not convinced by my own eyes."

And the beast lifted up his voice of suffering. Naturally. Rayne is trying to grab his eyeballs and drag them off.

"Shut up."

The beast man stopped moving with that one word. You must not be deaf. Yet the beast man hardened. Maybe I felt fear on my skin.

Pull off the optic nerve and Rayne brings the eyeball to the present.

Rayne stared shiatsu, but that was just an eyeball.

"That's not particularly different. Yahiko, aren't you willing to try transplanting this?

"Hey! Give me a break."

The lord's face blued, but soon he seemed to realize it was a joke. I guess because the word now was not an order.

But that didn't make me feel safe. You shouldn't mind if you wonder when Rayne will change his mind.

"Well, I don't care about these eyeballs themselves. Here's the real deal. Heels."

Rayne abandoned her eyeballs and used healing magic on the Beast Man.

Then a change came to the orbital cavity, which was empty.

The eyeballs appeared instantly.

The overwhelming magic of the wise man was instantly regenerating the eye of the beast man.

But the eyes of the beast man remain vain, and nothing is picturing them.

"Hmm. There's no sign you're seeing me. As an organ, it should be fully healed, but its function has not been restored. So how about this?

Rain raises the corner of his mouth. Then my big dog teeth grew.

And Rayne hit the beast man's neck.

"Hey, what are you doing? Come!

Edelgart was surprised by Rayne's unexpected behavior.

"Didn't you know? Master Rain is a vampire."

"You looked perfectly fine on the roof!

Vampires were undead, and it was common sense in this world that they were vulnerable to sunlight.

"Master Rain's class is Origin Blood. You're the top undead, the no-life queen, the queen of immortality, and so on. I'm sure you won't be concerned about the extent of sunlight."

"You know that very well! I just thought you were a great wizard."

While Edelgart was surprised, I guess the bloodsucking was over. Rayne took her lips off her neck.

Immediately the change began in the body of the beast man.

My nails grow and my muscles swell up. My lips turned up and my characteristic fangs began to grow.

If you move your hands and feet, the rope you were tying can be easily pulled off. The beast man fell out of bed.

"Kneel."

Rain orders the beast man at his feet.

The beast man slammed his hands and feet, but that was all.

I seem to have found out that I've been ordered to do something, and I'm desperate to answer that, but I don't know exactly what to do. Georges interpreted it as such.

"Why don't you make it a blood family? That's funny, they don't even get the reading."

Vampires increase their companionship by sucking blood. Between those fellows, I guess they could use something like telepathy, but that didn't seem to work either.

"Well, even these people have become blood clans. I'll take this guy home, okay?

"Yes. Roger that."

Adelgart accepts.

Georges was relieved. Because they just have trouble leaving a suspect in this condition.

"Well. This guy is in such an interesting state. This was done by a Japanese named Takayuan Night Mist (Takata and Ogiri) and Tannourachichichichichi Chika (Mochi), no mistake?

"Yeah, no, that. They're incompetent, and I don't think they could have done anything about it."

"Idiot, Edelgart. Ten people died and two remained on the spot. Who else do you suspect?

"Well, that's true, but when it comes to its means, we all don't see it. You can't detain him without any proof."

Georges prepared to die.

So would Adelgart. But she didn't try to make a bad excuse.

I don't know what I don't know. He wasn't clever enough to delude it.

"You've said something a little mean. Forgive me. Actually, I knew both of them beforehand."

Rayne laughs at me. Georges lowered his chest, apparently without dying.

"Really?

"There is a thing called Sudo in the squire of Sage Scion. I heard from him. They killed people and dragons with instant death magic. It was a long and vague story, but I was a little concerned. That's where your report came up."

"I see. So how about those two?

"That's..."

Rayne tried to say something, but the Georges couldn't hear it until the end.

Boom.

At the same time the castle rocked and Georges was confused.

Edelgart holds Georges and falls to the floor.

The two of them rolled straight to the corner of the room.

"Yes, what the hell..."

Georges got his upper body up without knowing why, and asked Edelgart.

"That's him!

Edelgart points to the entrance to the room.

There stood a man standing unafraid in a sword-shaven position.

The man's feet are cracked.

It's hard to believe, but the earthquake earlier seems to have subsided with the man's steps.

Half of the doors, which were in two, had fallen on the floor.

The man's sword slammed the door room by room.

There's a red muscle running on Rain's midline.

It is obvious that the sword is not a distance to reach.

But it only seemed to Georges that this man had torn Rayne in two.

"Brave..."

Georges had been staggering in his appraisal.

"Oh my God!

"It's the results of the appraisal! I don't know who it is, but the class is brave!

They opened their eyes to the sudden emergence of a brave man.
