Chapter 127: Storm Dragon Spear and Fists of the Mountain Tyrant

A long spear appeared in Cain’s right hand.

On his left hand, a pair of heavy gauntlets slowly finished taking shape.

Notifications surfaced immediately.

[You have obtained the Storm Dragon Spear.]

[Storm Dragon Spear]

[Grade: Mythical]

[Attribute: Lightning]

[Current State: First-Echelon Release]

[Most of the spear’s true power remains sealed. Further power will be released as the wielder advances through the Echelons.]

[Current Stat Increase: Strength +50 / Agility +80 / Physique +30 / Mana +90 / Magic +70]

[Effects: Thunder Conductor, Storm Momentum]

[Skills: Thunderstorm Domain, Heaven-Splitting Lightning]

[Thunder Conductor]

[Greatly strengthens the power, speed, stability, and control of Lightning energy channeled through the spear while significantly reducing unnecessary Mana consumption.]

[Lightning-attributed attacks released through the spear gain considerably greater speed, penetration, and destructive power.]

[Storm Momentum]

[Continuously accumulates a portion of the kinetic force and Lightning energy generated by the wielder while moving, accelerating, and attacking.]

[The accumulated energy may be released through subsequent spear attacks, greatly increasing their speed, force, and destructive power.]

[Thunderstorm Domain]

[Releases the spear’s stored Lightning energy and creates a powerful Thunderstorm around the wielder.]

[While within the Thunderstorm, the wielder’s movement speed, Lightning output, and reaction speed are greatly increased, while surrounding Lightning continuously replenishes a portion of the spear’s accumulated energy.]

[Heaven-Splitting Lightning]

[Condenses an enormous amount of Lightning within the spear before releasing it through a thrust, slash, sweep, or downward strike.]

[The released Lightning separates from the weapon and tears through the battlefield with tremendous speed and destructive power.]

[Additional abilities remain sealed.]

Cain stared at the spear in his hand.

Its shaft was forged from dark silver metal and was slightly longer than Ron’s current weapon. Thin blue-white patterns twisted along its surface, occasionally lighting up whenever faint arcs of Lightning moved through them.

The spearhead was narrow and viciously sharp.

Two backward-curving sections extended from beneath the blade, giving the upper portion a faint resemblance to a dragon opening its jaws.

Every few seconds, a small bolt of Lightning jumped from the spearhead before sinking back into the engraved patterns.

Cain’s mouth twitched.

He already knew exactly who this thing belonged to.

His gaze reluctantly shifted toward the second reward.

[You have obtained the Fists of the Mountain Tyrant.]

[Fists of the Mountain Tyrant]

[Grade: Mythical]

[Attribute: Earth / Force]

[Current State: First-Echelon Release]

[Most of the gauntlets’ true power remains sealed. Further power will be released as the wielder advances through the Echelons.]

[Current Stat Increase: Strength +100 / Physique +120 / Agility +40 / Mana +50 / Magic +30]

[Effects: Tyrant’s Fists, Impact Reservoir]

[Skills: Mountain-Shattering Blow, Unmoving Tyrant]

[Tyrant’s Fists]

[Greatly strengthens the force, durability, and destructive power of punches and other close-range physical attacks.]

[Physical force transmitted through the gauntlets becomes significantly more concentrated, greatly increasing the ability to break armor, bones, barriers, and defensive abilities.]

[Impact Reservoir]

[Stores a portion of the physical force generated by the wielder’s attacks and a portion of the impact received from enemy attacks.]

[The accumulated force may be released through subsequent attacks or used to strengthen compatible Skills.]

[Mountain-Shattering Blow]

[Concentrates the physical strength of the wielder and the accumulated force within the Impact Reservoir into a single devastating strike.]

[Upon impact, the concentrated force penetrates through the point struck before spreading throughout the target, causing tremendous internal and structural damage.]

[Unmoving Tyrant]

[Greatly increases the wielder’s physical defense, stability, and resistance to knockback for a limited period.]

[While active, the wielder becomes considerably more difficult to move or stagger, while physical force received from enemy attacks is more efficiently absorbed by the Impact Reservoir.]

[Additional abilities remain sealed.]

The gauntlets looked far heavier than Jack’s current combat gloves.

Dark-gray metal covered the fingers and extended beyond the wrists, while several thick plates overlapped across the knuckles.

Faint brown-gold lines ran through the surface, giving off a subtle pressure despite the gauntlets remaining completely still.

Cain lifted one and thought that the weight would have been uncomfortable for an ordinary person.

But for Jack, it would probably feel perfect.

He looked between the two Mythical-rank items before sighing.

"That bastard must have spent his entire year worth of luck just for today."

Elara followed his gaze toward the spear and immediately understood what he meant.

Ron had only just obtained a Divine-rank Lightning Talent.

Now Cain had somehow opened a Mythical-rank Lightning spear that seemed almost perfectly designed for him.

Divine Lightning Body already gave Ron terrifying speed and Lightning affinity, while Thunderclap Momentum allowed him to turn his movement into a greater destructive force.

And now the spear possessed Storm Momentum, which accumulated even more power as the wielder moved and accelerated.

Cain could already imagine how ridiculous Ron would become once he combined everything together.

On the other hand, Evelyne was paying more attention to Cain than the items.

Her curiosity had become impossible to hide.

She had naturally assumed the Red Scroll Cain opened earlier was the reward he received from the Universal Announcement.

Then, he casually pulled out another two Orange Orbs and opened both at once.

’How many treasures does he actually have?’

Elara was thinking something similar.

Cain had already given her an Orange Scroll and Orange Orb, so she had assumed those resources were among the best things he possessed.

Yet even after everything that had happened since then, Cain still seemed able to take out another valuable item whenever the situation demanded it.

Neither woman knew exactly what Cain had given to the others.

That only made the amount of resources hidden inside his Inventory harder to guess.

Cain stored both pieces of equipment.

"We’re done here."

Evelyne raised an eyebrow.

"You’re not going to use either of them?"

Cain started walking back toward the others.

"I don’t punch people enough to need the gauntlets."

Elara glanced toward the direction Ron had gone earlier.

"And the spear?"

Cain’s expression immediately became annoyed.

"Don’t mention it."

Elara laughed softly as she knew exactly why he reacted like that.

The three returned toward the spatial entrance.

By the time they arrived, everyone Cain had selected was already waiting.

Professor Holt stood farther away with Doctor Owen and several 1st Echelon fighters who would remain outside.

Ron noticed Cain first.

"Finally. What were you..."

Something suddenly flew toward Jack.

Jack instinctively raised both hands.

Thud!

The heavy gauntlets landed against his palms.

His arms dipped slightly from the unexpected weight.

"What the hell?"

Cain continued walking.

"Put them on."

Jack looked at him, then lowered his gaze toward the equipment.

The moment his fingers properly touched the surface, the item information appeared before his eyes.
