Chapter 49: Heavenly Flash Body – SSS Rank Talent

However, as Jack instinctively familiarized himself with the evolved Skill, he quickly realized something else.

The Skill did not force him to unleash all one hundred punches every time.

Ten Fists, One Impact had not truly disappeared.

It had simply become part of something far more flexible.

Jack could still release only ten punches if that was enough. If he wanted more power without committing to the full hundred, he could increase the number to twenty, thirty, or even higher depending on the situation.

The more punches he compressed into a single attack, the greater the final impact would become.

Naturally, the Mana consumption and burden on his body would rise along with it.

That realization made the Skill far more useful than Jack had initially thought.

Against weaker enemies, ten or twenty punches would already be more than enough.

There was no reason to waste the full power of one hundred punches unless he faced something durable enough to survive anything less.

Jack slowly looked down at his fists.

His grin returned, much wider than before.

"This is even better than I thought."

"Better?" Cain raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, my skill somehow just became stronger." Jack replied with a smile.

"That’s good, but don’t test that shit on me though." Cain chuckled as he raised both hands.

Jack laughed in response.

At the same time, a curse came from farther down the street.

"FUCK!"

Everyone turned and saw that Ron had killed a dozen of the 15 high-level zombies surrounding the collapsed bus.

Ron stood several meters away from them with his spear held low beside his body.

His breathing had become noticeably heavier.

Sweat ran down the side of his face, and the muscles in his legs had begun aching from the speed he had forced out during the battle.

Unlike the others, Ron did not possess an attack capable of instantly crushing the strengthened bodies of the zombies.

Jack’s attack skills were already strong enough to kill a stronger zombie, let alone his strongest skill that he had just shown where he punched out multiple times at once.

He didn’t see it clearly as he had been focusing on his own fight, but he had taken a glimpse of the skill.

Elara and Nathan also had strong skills and even their own unique elements.

But Ron?

He was fast—extremely fast...

That was his greatest advantage.

It was also the reason he had managed to kill a dozen zombies within a short time on his own.

Ron glanced toward the three remaining infected.

Two stood close to the overturned bus, while the last had wandered several meters farther away after losing sight of him during the fight.

His fingers tightened around the spear.

The pressure inside his legs increased again.

Heavenly Flash Overdrive.

The moment Ron activated the Skill, Mana surged through his legs before spreading throughout his entire body.

His muscles tightened as his already frightening agility increased sharply.

Ron disappeared from his previous position.

The world around him seemed to slow.

Movements that had previously required his full concentration became much easier to follow. Even the attacks of the Level 20 zombies appeared noticeably slower in his eyes, giving him more than enough time to react and reposition.

This was the true purpose of Heavenly Flash Overdrive.

The Skill forcibly pushed his body beyond its normal movement limit, dramatically increasing his Agility and acceleration for as long as he could maintain it.

Unfortunately, such speed was not without a price.

His (Heavenly Flash Body – SSS Rank Talent) was naturally suited for extreme movement. His muscles, bones, joints, nerves, and internal organs could withstand levels of acceleration that would seriously injure an ordinary Awakener.

Even so, Heavenly Flash Overdrive was specifically designed to push that extraordinary physique even further.

His calves gradually began to burn.

Every explosive acceleration placed increasing pressure on his legs, while sudden changes in direction sent faint discomfort through his knees and ankles.

His heartbeat thundered rapidly inside his chest, his mana was also disappearing at a noticeably faster rate.

Ron could increase the skill’s output even further if he wanted to, since the greater the output, the faster he would become.

However, the strain on his body and the Mana required to sustain the skill would rise alongside it.

This was only the second time since the apocalypse began that Ron had used Heavenly Flash Overdrive for an extended period.

The first had been on the first floor of their dormitory.

Cain’s ridiculous shout from the upper floors had attracted dozens of zombies toward the building, leaving Ron to deal with nearly all of them by himself.

At the time, Ron had barely understood his newly awakened abilities.

He only knew that he needed to move faster.

So he activated Heavenly Flash Overdrive.

His speed immediately exploded.

He pierced one zombie through the head before rushing toward another. Whenever several infected students attempted to surround him, another burst of acceleration carried him outside their reach.

His figure repeatedly disappeared between the zombies as the bloody tip of his javelin pierced through one skull after another.

By the time Cain returned to the first floor, Ron had already killed a lot of infected people.

However, he had also been exhausted because of it.

His Mana had nearly run dry, his legs had felt like they were burning from the inside, and nearly every muscle below his waist had ached afterward.

Ron disliked that feeling enough that he had avoided maintaining Heavenly Flash Overdrive at high output ever since.

There had simply never been a reason to push himself that far again.

Until now as his Advancement Mission required him to kill twenty-five Level 20 or higher Unranked beings without assistance.

Facing one zombie at a time would have been easy.

Fighting fifteen of them together was different.

They were stronger than ordinary infected people, and several possessed enough speed to threaten Ron if he allowed himself to become trapped.

Speed was the only overwhelming advantage he possessed.

So he took advantage of it.

The nearest zombie growled.

Ron lowered his body, his foot pressed against the pavement.

Crack!

He disappeared from where he stood.
