"BOOM!"

Immediately, the forest exploded into motion as tall grasses bent violently as monsters burst from every direction, the fog rippling as dark shadows raced through it.

This time, they were not ordinary wolves.

These monsters were nearly twice the size of the previous wave, their fur darker, their bodies leaner and more muscular.

Crimson eyes glowed beneath the moonlight while strange markings covered their bodies like natural tattoos, their claws long enough to rival daggers.

Even Fiona’s expression changed.

"Direwolves." Marcus licked his lips as he spoke.

"Level two this time."

There were not merely two or three of them, they were about fifteen.

Then suddenly, another figure stepped out from the forest, and everyone froze.

Unlike the others, this beast stood nearly three meters long, its fur darker than the night itself and seeming to shimmer beneath the moonlight.

Ther was a scar in across its left eyes, while its remaining eye radiating cold intelligence, and the pressure it emitted was on an entirely different level. Gregor’s expression darkened.

"Alpha Direwolf." Marcus cursed immediately. "Damn it."

The Alpha slowly raised its head toward the moon.

"ROOOOOAR!!"

The entire forest trembled.

The fifteen Direwolves moved simultaneously, like soldiers responding to their king’s command, and they charged.

Marcus struck first.

"BOOM!"

His gauntleted fist collided with the claws of the nearest wolf, a shockwave erupting outward as the beast was blasted backward through the grass.

Before it even landed, another wolf lunged toward his throat.

Marcus grinned, his sword flashing. "Slash!"

Blood sprayed into the air as the wolf’s head separated from its body.

"Ocean Flame Erupt!"

"Whoosh!"

Blue flames ignited across his blade, as he activated hus Ocean Flame Talent.

The flames wrapped around his sword and intensified its cutting power tremendously.

Another Direwof leapt at him as it struck its cake at Marcus head.

"Whoosh!"

Marcus slashed backwards at the claw and the Ocean flames burned through the claw as the sword easily sliced through the wolf’s body, letting blood spray in the air as it fell tk the ground.

At this moment, Marcus had become even powerful with such a talent.

Fiona pupils dilated as she also didn’t hesitate and activated her talent.

"Time Dilation!"

"Whoosh!"

Everything around her slowed down in her eyes as she processed information at astonishing speed and her body also responded at that same speed.

The wolves becoming sluggish and predictable. Her daggers transformed into silver streaks dancing across the battlefield. As she cut through them rapidly.

Blood erupted everywhere. Fiona moved like flowing water through the battlefield, elegant, precise, and lethal.

Gregor was an entirely different monster. The massive young man roared as muscles bulged beneath his armor, his talent activating.

"Super Strength."

His already terrifying strength increased by over fifty percent.

A charging Direwolf met his shield head-on.

"BOOM!!" The impact shattered the beast’s ribs instantly, and before it could recover, his sword pierced through its neck.

Another wolf lunged toward him, and Gregor simply swatted it away with his shield, causing the wolf to fly several meters before crashing lifelessly into a boulder with a sickening thud.

Lena struggled the most. Her movements lacked experience, and one Direwolf nearly tore open her shoulder. She barely managed to roll away as claws tore through the ground where she had stood moments earlier.

But despite her inexperience, her fundamentals were excellent. She recovered instantly, her sword piercing into the side of the beast’s neck.

"Shink!"

Blood splattered across the grass, and the wolf collapsed.

Meanwhile, Dexter remained standing at the center of the battlefield, watching.

Marcus possessed overwhelming offensive power, Gregor possessed monstrous physical strength, Fiona was incredibly fast and deadly, and Lena lacked experience but had remarkable foundations.

For an ordinary F-Rank team, they were exceptional.

Then, his expression changed. His Danger Sense exploded, every instinct in his body screaming a warning.

Without hesitation, Dexter stepped backward.

"WHOOSH!"

A massive shadow tore through the air where he had been standing a fraction of a second earlier.

"BOOM!!"

The ground exploded, dirt and shattered stone flying everywhere.

Every face in the clearing shifted instantly.

Standing within the crater was another wolf.

No, calling it a wolf felt wrong.

This creature stood nearly three meters tall at the shoulder, jet-black fur covering its body, its claws shining silver beneath the moonlight.

Golden eyes stared coldly at the battlefield, and the pressure pouring from its body alone made Lena’s face turn pale.

Marcus’s confident expression disappeared instantly. "A Level three Fiend monster."

Silence filled the clearing. The wolf slowly rose to its feet, ignoring Marcus, Fiona, Gregor, and Lena.

Its golden eyes locked directly onto Dexter.

The monster’s lips slowly curled upward, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth.

"Grrrrrr."

A low rumble escaped its throat. For some reason, out of everyone present, it had chosen him. Dexter’s eyes narrowed. "Interesting."

The Third-Star Dire Wolf lowered its body, muscles tightening beneath its dark fur.

Then it vanished.

"BOOM!"

The ground exploded beneath its feet as the beast transformed into a black blur racing toward Dexter at terrifying speed.

Itwas far faster than any of the previous wolves.

Fiona’s expression changed. "Watch out!" But

Dexter had already moved. His hand reached over his shoulder and drew the weapon wrapped in cloth, a beautiful black sword appearing in his hand.

"CLANG!"

Sparks erupted as the Dire Wolf’s claw smashed against Dexter’s blade, creating a shockwave that swept through the clearing and bent the surrounding grass flat against the ground.

Everyone froze in shock. Marcus’s eyes widened, Fiona stopped moving, Gregor stared in disbelief, and even Lena looked shocked.

Dexter had blocked the attack effortlessly, not even taking a single step backward, only the earth beneath his feet shattering under the impact.

They quickly continued their battle but were keeping an eye on Dexter.

The Dire Wolf flipped in mid air and landed several meters away then slowly began circling him.

Its instincts were knew there was something not right about Dexter.

Dexter glanced down at his sword before looking back at the beast, a smile slowly spreading across his face. "So you’re stronger than the others."

His eyes drifted toward the Alpha Wolf standing silently atop the distant boulder. "If this thing is this strong, then how strong is the Alpha?"
