"What the hell is running through your head?" she huffed and glared at him

Dexter rubbed the back of his head and chuckled embarrassedly. "I had no idea. That was why I said it. I did not know who you were."

The girl rolled her eyes with the most sass Dexter had ever seen. "I am his granddaughter, you idiot. That old geezer is almost five hundred years old. There is no way I am his wife."

Dexter nodded his head. "Right. Granddaughter, not wife."

But he was a bit surprised to hear that the old man was 500 years old. The old man still looked energetic, even more energetic than him, and he was nearly five centuries old. That explained a great deal about his presence and his power.

But then he remembered that this was the granddaughter the old man had used as a wager back then. Luckily for the old man, Dexter had rejected the marriage for his granddaughter as part of the wager; otherwise, it would have been something else.

’But what exactly is she doing here?’

Calming her nerves, the girl’s expression turned serious, and she stepped closer.

Her eyes glinted as she stared at him up and down as though she could see through him, and then her gaze settled on the base of his neck.

Her eyes suddenly brightened, and she stared intently at his neck, muttering.

"The old geezer really did give you the necklace."

Dexter blinked and unconsciously touched the necklace on his neck. ’Was she here for this?’

She looked at Dexter’s eyes and then said slowly.

"Can I have the necklace back?"

Dexter frowned. His hand moved unconsciously to his neck, where the necklace the old man had given him rested against his collarbone.

"Does the old man want it back?"

The girl tilted her head and slowly shook her head. "No. He said you won it fair and square. But you do not deserve to wear that key."

Dexter’s frown deepened. "The old man gave it to me. He knows perfectly well whether I deserve it or not. It is not your place to decide if I’m worthy of it or not."

If she had asked properly, he might have shrugged and given her the necklace. He didn’t know what it was, and she was the granddaughter of the old man.

But the way she asked irritated Dexter instead.

The girl’s face changed, and her eyes narrowed.

For a split second, the color of her eyes changed from violent to pure gold.

At the same split second, a wave of heat gushed outward like a volcano erupting.

And for that same split second, the hair on Dexter’s neck stood on end, and he felt a surge of something immense and terrifying brush against his awareness.

She held his gaze for a second, but Dexter felt it was an hour.

But just as she was about to do something, she shook her head, the gold fading from her eyes as they returned to their usual violet, and let out a deep breath.

Dexter sighed in relief. If they had truly battled here, it would be an insane battle, and Dexter had no idea who would come out on top, but he knew she would at least lose a layer of skin.

The lady rolled her eyes indifferently as she asked a question.

"How did you manage to learn Grand Cosmos?"

Dexter inhaled deeply and raised an eyebrow. "Was it really that difficult?"

The girl’s eyelid trembled. Dexter truly knows how to press her button.

Her eye twitched. "You have no idea what you are talking about."

Dexter frowned. "I’m positive I do since I learnt the technique fully."

The girl inhaled deeply, her chest rising and falling as she visibly tried to calm herself. Dexter could practically see her blood pressure rising.

He was not entirely sure why his responses were aggravating her so much, but he was not going to change them to make her feel better.

"The key would only cause you endless trouble. You should give it to someone who knows how to protect it."

Dexter shrugged. "You, me, and your grandfather are the only ones who know I have it. I won’t say anything, and I’m pretty sure your grandfather won’t either. That only leaves you. As long as you don’t say anything, I will be fine."

The girl gritted her teeth as she heard Dexter’s response.

"How about you tell me what this is and I will consider giving you or not." Dexter smiled deviously.

The girl glanced at him with her white eyes. "Even if I told you, you wouldn’t understand."

Dexter shrugged. "It was worth a try."

He then waved at her. "Alright. Enough chat. I need to go home."

He was walking when he realized the girl was walking with him.

Dexter frowned. "What do you want now?"

"Until I get my hands on the necklace, you are not leaving my sight." The girl suddenly smiled as she cracked her neck and stretched, making her large breasts pop out even more.

’What the hell is this girl talking about? Am I about to have my own personal stalker?’

"Do what you wish." With indifference in his tone, he replied.

The girl raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"Don’t think I won’t follow you to meet your wives."

Dexter’s face changed slightly. But he wasn’t worried because he had the Tier 4 protection.

"What would it take to leave me alone?" He sighed.

The girl’s eyes lit up. "Give me the —"

She wasn’t able to talk for long when Dexter cut her off. "Impossible, ask for another thing.

The girl glared at him for a second then spoke.

"Do something for me."

"What?" Dexter asked.

"Spar with me."

Dexter blinked. Then he chuckled. "That is funny. You want me to spar with you."

The girl glared at him. "Spar with me, and I will leave you alone."

Dexter’s chuckle faded, replaced by a flat look. "You are an ultra rank. Possibly higher. How exactly is that supposed to be a fair fight? I’m not egoistic enough to think I can battle across realms."
