After Breakfast, Asher was busy taking the plates off the table. Juliana stood beside him, helping. She moved with a gentle, submissive grace that completely belied the devastating Time Body dormant within her.

Just preparing food for Kelly gave him this much money. Asher turned to Kelly, who now stood before the window, staring blankly at the sky, entirely unaware of the fortune she had just generated by simply eating a good meal.

Asher froze, his hands almost shaking as he stared at the books populating his storage. Did this system read his mind or what?
He sat down on the chair lost in thought, analyzing the patterns of his sudden windfalls. Kelly’s return rewards had always focused on wealth and utility skills, from cooking skill, Heaven hotel to money... None of this helps with fighting.
’Maybe because she isn’t yet an Awakened... That must be it.’ He thought, turning to Juliana, who was cleaning the mess Kelly left on the table.
’Juliana is different, her two personalities focus on both Fighting, and business, so I can get them both as rewards. But Sara...’ He turned to Sara, who was a quiet, observant anchor in the house. She sat on the sofa, reading her book, and drinking the warm water on the table, her presence calm and unbothered.
’Sara’s first reward is even greater than the other two wives’ first reward. Yes, cooking skill is important, but it doesn’t help much. Juliana’s first reward was a good Heaven-Tier sword...’ He paused, suddenly realizing the sheer irony of his early investments.
Asher chuckled. He gave her a kitchen knife as a gift, what was he expecting as a return, a Mythic-Tier?
’That might be my fault, but Sara is different... Just from my cooking, I gained five peak rank skill books.’ He stood up, his ambition burning brighter than ever as he realized he now possessed the tools to protect his family from the corrupt Awakener society.
’Maybe the cooking skill isn’t bad after all.’ He turned to Juliana, opting for a softer tone to test the waters of her current personality:
"Julia, can you help me with the plates, I got things to do in my room." He said.
Asher would never dare call the other Juliana with a nickname. He has a feeling she will fight him, or he will lose Affection. Asher wasn’t ready to take that risk with a woman who demanded SSS-Rank evolution stones.
"Oh, alright. I will take care of this, go ahead." Juliana answered with a sweet, genuine smile.
"Thank you." Asher nodded, and walked upstairs, eager to claim his spoils.

He closed the door shut, resting his back on the frame to ensure he was entirely alone before tapping into his arsenal: "System, I want to see my five skill books."

A golden light appeared before him, illuminating the dim room, and five huge books appeared, hovering in the air. The energy radiating from them was thick enough to suffocate an ordinary Awakener.
"All Divine-Tier abilities, I can’t believe this." Asher thought, placing his hand on one.
"What will I get if I invest this on Sara or Juliana?" He asked himself, taking his hand off as a wave of hesitation hit him. Multiplying Divine-Tier skills could make them literal gods, but he needed to be strategic.
"Alright, I will take three and give them one each. I can deceive Juliana, but Sara? If she sees more than one, she will never believe what I’ll say again." He stared at the five golden books with a small frown, respecting Sara’s sharp intellect too much to treat her like a fool.
"This was bad, the skills aren’t specified. I will gain a random ability... If only the skills are explained on the cover, I could pick them." He sighed, and moved three towards him, then placed his hand on the cover of the nearest one, making a blind gamble:
"Activate."
With a bit of energy, he activated the first skill. Asher watched as the skill book vanished, dissolving into golden motes of light that rushed into his chest the next moment.

Asher was speechless, staring at the skill in sheer disbelief. To have an automatic shield that protected not just him, but precisely enough people to cover his three wives, was nothing short of miraculous. Such a powerful skill:
’No Cooldown, and it’s Passive. In short, I am now invincible!!’ He exclaimed, feeling the heavy burden of anxiety finally lift from his shoulders, and quickly placed his hand on the second skill, watching as the book vanished again, his heart pounding in his ears.
