Chapter 646 - 639: Suppression
Two figures fell from the sky. Zhou Yuanjue was completely unharmed, looking calm and composed.
Beside him, inside a large, translucent crystal, the Master of Desolation’s form was like an insect frozen in amber. He struggled, his face filled with panic and terror.
One of the Twelve Celestial Demon Ancestors. A complete, Ancestral Level being. A terror that had loomed over humanity since ancient times. A horrifying existence that had, just moments ago, nearly crushed the Donghua Martial Arts Family single-handedly. And in such a short time, he had been reduced to this.
From a terrifying behemoth that soared through the heavens, looked down upon the earth, and regarded humanity as ants, he had become a mere insect frozen in amber.
This world-turning reversal left everyone on site stunned. They couldn’t process what had happened, and a wave of dizziness washed over them, making them doubt if what they were seeing was even real.
It wasn’t just the Martial Artists on the scene; all the Donghua People witnessing the battle through Li Qingxuan’s "Celestial Eye" ability felt the same.
They forgot to cheer, forgot their excitement and joy.
BOOM!!
A sudden commotion erupted from the Celestial Demon’s side of the battlefield, shattering the deathly silence and snapping everyone back to their senses.
It was Rainbow, making his move.
Disregarding his body’s limits, he violently unleashed the power of the Seed of the Fierce Sun. The energy coiled around him, making him shine like the sun itself.
However, this power wasn’t meant for attack—it was for escape.
With the immense thrust from the erupting Seed of the Fierce Sun, his body shot into the distance, covering more than ten kilometers in the blink of an eye and leaving the other Celestial Demon People on the ground utterly bewildered.
’Are you kidding me!!!’
’That bastard, the Master of Desolation, wasn’t just defeated!’
Rainbow could clearly sense it. The Master of Desolation’s entire being was bound fast within that crystal, with no hope of escape.
’This sealing technique is at least ten times more terrifying than the Sealing Realm Image the Ancient Heroes once used!’
’He wasn’t about to stick around and let this freely moving fragment of his will be sealed away for good.’
’Besides, if even a complete Primordial Ancestor couldn’t stand against him, what could a mere incarnation like him possibly do?’
Amidst the crowd’s astonishment, Zhou Yuanjue wore a look that said he’d expected this all along.
He knew the true nature of the Celestial Demons all too well.
’A mere Ancient True King Level incarnation, trying to escape from me? Truly naive.’
SWOOSH!!
He shot forward with a sudden push of his feet, a terrifying power erupting from within. His body seemed to blur, as if it had briefly touched upon and merged with the True Realm, becoming somewhat unreal. In this state, the resistance of the physical world was drastically reduced, allowing his speed to reach a frightening level.
As he fled for his life, Rainbow suddenly felt his neck tighten. A massive hand had materialized around it, and the defenses of his Armor of the Scorching Sun offered no resistance whatsoever.
Then, an irresistible force surged from the hand, slamming his speeding body downward.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!!
He was slammed from the sky into the ground, landing face-first. He was pinned to the earth, held fast by that massive hand.
A tremendous roar echoed as Rainbow’s head gouged a long, deep trench in the ground, sending shattered rock and clouds of dust into the air.
But more than the physical damage, the attack was a psychological blow.
At that moment, Rainbow, once an Ancient King, felt like nothing more than a stray dog.
The force of the impact finally dissipated. Under the immense power of that hand, his body was lifted and suspended in midair.
He couldn’t see the face or expression of the man behind him. The midday Scorching Sun beat down on his face, yet all he felt was an endless chill.
He tried to struggle but felt an unknown power invade his body, rapidly devouring and converting the energy he had accumulated.
"It doesn’t feel good to be treated like an insect, does it?"
Then, he heard a soft chuckle from behind him.
"Kill me or cut me to pieces, do what you will!"
Rainbow roared in fury.
"Relax, I’m not going to kill you. You’re just an incarnated Divine Fragment. You’re more useful to me alive."
Zhou Yuanjue said with a smile. Then, the cells in his palm began to multiply rapidly again. Like melting wax, a mass of flesh and blood enveloped Rainbow’s body.
However, Rainbow didn’t receive the same treatment as the Master of Desolation.
He wasn’t a complete Primordial Ancestor, merely an incarnation with the power of an Ancient True King.
CRACK! CRUNCH!
As Zhou Yuanjue’s spreading flesh and cells exerted their power, Rainbow’s body snapped and broke like dry twigs. It collapsed inward, and amidst excruciating pain, was gradually compressed into a sphere that finally solidified into its final shape.
Inside the basketball-sized, translucent crystal, only Rainbow’s head remained mostly intact. His expression of agony and humiliation was also perfectly frozen within the crystal.
Zhou Yuanjue hefted the crystal in his hand, then pushed off with his foot and sped back the way he came.
By the time he returned to the battlefield, the fighting was nearly over.
With the Master of Desolation sealed in a crystal and Rainbow having turned to flee, the other Celestial Demon People were scared out of their wits. They had no will to fight and were scattering in all directions.
Their morale soaring, the Donghua Martial Artists immediately gave chase, and for a moment, the scene was chaotic.
On his way back, Zhou Yuanjue crippled a few of the fleeing Ancient True Kings before returning to the main battlefield.
The Chief Commissioner, Ji Yunzhou, and Zhang Zhizhen were standing guard beside the Master of Desolation’s translucent crystal, apparently worried it might suddenly change.
They only breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Zhou Yuanjue reappear.
Then they saw Zhou Yuanjue casually toss a basketball-sized, translucent crystal next to the one holding the Master of Desolation. They instantly recognized the familiar figure of Rainbow trapped inside.
This time, however, he could no longer afford his previous arrogance.
’Did he take care of all of them so quickly?’
The men exchanged a look and couldn’t help but take a deep breath.
"Are they...?"
the Chief Commissioner asked Zhou Yuanjue, still sounding uneasy.
"Don’t worry, there’s no way for them to escape. Just have someone transport these crystals back to headquarters."
Zhou Yuanjue said with a smile, then turned his gaze to Chen Qingmu nearby.
He was in a wretched state; half of his body was missing, exposing mangled flesh and organs. Although such an injury wasn’t fatal for a King Level being, he was completely incapacitated.
Seeing this, Zhou Yuanjue slowly extended his palm.
SQUELCH SQUELCH!!
A mass of flesh writhed in the center of his palm, forming the shape of a flower. The flower then bloomed, revealing a fruit-like clump of flesh at its center.
Zhou Yuanjue slowly plucked this fruit of flesh and placed it on Chen Qingmu’s wound.
VMMMM!!
An immense power instantly poured forth. As if stimulated, the injured half of Chen Qingmu’s torso began to recover at a speed visible to the naked eye.
