WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

Yu Guanhai and the Third Clan Elder clearly felt the Energy levels in their bodies dropping rapidly, nearly falling below their peak.

A look of horror appeared on both their faces. The situation had developed beyond their expectations.

’If this keeps up... no! We’re going to be drained dry! Not a single drop will be left!’

SWISH!

Just then, as if sensing the two had reached their limit, Zhou Yuanjue withdrew his hands and broke the connection.

GASP! GASP! GASP!

Yu Guanhai and the Third Clan Elder looked as if they had just survived a catastrophe. They were covered in cold sweat and seemed on the verge of collapse, their legs trembling as they forced themselves to stay upright.

Tu Junshan shot the two a strange look. The last time he had followed Daoist Bailong deep into the upper levels of the Immortal Palace with them, they had used a similar method to grant him authority, and it hadn’t consumed much of their power.

’Why do they look like they’ve died and come back to life this time? This is a bit too much...’

"This is barely enough."

Zhou Yuanjue looked at his hands. All the power from Yu Guanhai and the Third Clan Elder had gathered in his palms, forming two crescent-shaped white marks. Sensing the power contained within, he nodded slightly.

’This is only *barely* enough?! Just how strong is this guy?!’

The two from the Moon Race glanced at each other and couldn’t help but swallow.

Most importantly, they knew that what Zhou Yuanjue said was completely true. The protection from this mark of authority hadn’t reached its peak. If Zhou Yuanjue hadn’t broken the connection himself, the two of them would have been in real trouble.

"How about... we rest for a bit before injecting you with the final bit of missing Energy?"

Yu Guanhai asked with a wry smile.

"No need. This is basically enough. You two should hurry and recover. I’ll likely need your assistance during the final stage of reinforcing the Seal."

Zhou Yuanjue said, shaking his head.

Yu Guanhai and the Third Clan Elder nodded in understanding. They immediately sat cross-legged on the ground, took out secret medicines and energy-rich food from their robes, and began to restore their power.

"Back then, when our ancestors sealed Ji, they used the method of Spirit Body Separation. The most terrifying aspect of the Primordial Ancestor, Ji, is her physical body, known as the Body of Slaughter, which possesses the greatest strength in the world. Our ancestors used the Glowing Moon Dream Realm to briefly separate her soul from her body. Then, using the Moonlight Mirror as a foundation, they forcibly sealed her Spirit within the Glowing Moon Dream Realm."

"As for her indestructible body, it was pierced with Divine Iron and locked within a Bronze Ancient Coffin capable of suppressing magnetic fields and vital energy. Only then was she completely sealed. In reality, however, this Seal focuses on the Spirit Body; the seal on her physical body is actually much weaker."

"Now, since you said she has ’awakened,’ her will must have partially escaped the Glowing Moon Dream Realm. This means she can likely control her own body and move within the confines of the Seal. That’s where the vast majority of her power lies."

"You must be extremely careful."

Yu Guanhai said in a low voice to Zhou Yuanjue while regulating his breathing.

"It’s just an incomplete shell."

Zhou Yuanjue said flatly, "To experience the Primordial Ancestor’s power is the very purpose of my trip. You may not know this, but for me, every single day is a day of earth-shattering change. Even without my conscious effort, every cell in this body of mine will strive with all its might, at the most frantic pace, to push my power to a new peak."

"It’s like a populace working tirelessly day and night, struggling to make their nation stronger and stronger, catching up to decades of others’ accumulated progress in just a year or a few."

"I also want to see if I, in my current state, can contend with the Primordial Ancestor."

"The last battle with the Forest Race didn’t let me have my fill..."

SWOOSH!

The next moment, though Zhou Yuanjue’s voice still echoed in their ears, his figure had already shot out in an instant, speeding into the distance.

’Changing with each passing day... Can this guy really contend with the Primordial Ancestor now?’

The three of them stared blankly at Zhou Yuanjue’s retreating figure, their eyes filled with both worry and expectation.

...

...

BUZZ!

As he sped toward the Immortal Palace, Zhou Yuanjue’s body had already transformed via his Star Magnetic Field. Streaks of life-force imprints, like wings, appeared on his skin, making him look both mysterious and powerful.

Soon, he arrived before the intense magnetic field layer surrounding the Immortal Palace and plunged headfirst into it.

Under the protection of the Moon Mark’s authority, the intense magnetic field had mostly dissipated. The remainder was completely unable to affect him.

His vision blurred for a moment. When it cleared, he found himself in the familiar Immortal Realm, an earthly paradise.

Birds sang and flowers bloomed. A seven-colored Rainbow floated in the sky, and the majestic Nine-Layered Immortal Palace stood tall, radiating a sacred light. But one thing remained unchanged: a strange, deathly silence.

All this beauty was merely an illusion.

Last time, Zhou Yuanjue couldn’t perceive his surroundings clearly. He was like a blind man touching an elephant, using his magnetic field to protect himself as he slowly groped for the truth. Now, however, he could see everything with perfect clarity.

The Nine-Layered Immortal Palace was, in reality, nine layers of caverns carved into a massive mountain. They were pitch-black, gloomy, and filled with an indescribable, eerie aura, as if ready to swallow a person whole. It was the complete opposite of the sacred vision in the illusion—two absolute extremes.

Hidden beneath peerless beauty was immense terror.

The area around the mountain was completely barren; not even a trace of vegetation could be found.

The nine layers of caverns were arranged like a pyramid. The higher the level, the fewer the caverns, until at the ninth layer, there was only a single, massive cavern standing silently atop the peak, looking down on everything below.

Peering into the darkness of that enormous cavern, Zhou Yuanjue seemed to make something out.

"Leave now. This is your last chance."

Just then, a powerful and immense will suddenly emanated from the mountaintop cavern and entered Zhou Yuanjue’s mind.

"And if I don’t?"

Zhou Yuanjue replied flatly.

"I don’t wish to break the Seal so soon. But don’t you dare think I can do nothing. If you’re looking to make a show of force, you’ve picked the wrong person."

"Leave now, or die!!!"

An intense aura of slaughter and blood washed over him.

"I’m sorry, but you might not be qualified to kill me."

Zhou Yuanjue said calmly.

His words seemed to enrage the being on the top floor of the Immortal Palace, triggering a series of tremors in the Sealing Realm Image.

RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

The sky wailed and the illusion trembled.

CLANG! CLANG!

From within the cavern came the sound of what seemed to be chains being violently shaken.

BANG!

A loud bang followed, as if some heavy lid had been thrown open in an instant. Then came the sound of snapping chains. Zhou Yuanjue clearly saw, accompanied by heavy footsteps, a figure slowly emerge from the shadows of the highest cavern. It stood on the mountaintop, looking down upon him.
