"Young Master, since there’s nothing left for us here, let’s head out!" Xiao Xiao said delightedly, tugging at Ye Qingchen’s sleeve as she watched the last of the Zheng Family members being captured.

The Zheng Family had finally received their just deserts, and it was time for them to continue on to the Xue Family.

"Right, Brother Ye. You two go ahead into the inner city. We’ll escort the Zheng Family members and follow behind," Xue Feng said, nodding at Ye Qingchen.

Ye Qingchen had no intention of lingering, so he took Xiao Xiao and left. They still hadn’t obtained the Buddha’s Relic, yet they had already wasted so much time here.

"Young Master, don’t worry. Since we’re here, we’ll definitely get our hands on the Buddha’s Relic," Xiao Xiao said with conviction as she walked beside him.

Ye Qingchen smiled and nodded. "Naturally!"

After walking for a long time, they could finally see the faint silhouette of the inner city. However, just as they were about to press on, they heard shouting from behind.

"Ye Qingchen! Stop right there!"

Looking back, they saw Uncle Wang and Old Cui trailing them, their faces seething with anger.

Ye Qingchen frowned at them. "Gentlemen, what is the meaning of this? Uncle Wang, shouldn’t you have been arrested? And Old Cui, I already gave you the rest of the Cultivation Technique."

Uncle Wang stepped forward first. "They were after the Zheng Family, and I’m not one of them! I’ve caught up to you to avenge my master!"

Nearby, Old Cui snorted coldly. "Ye Qingchen, to think you’d dare trick me! I wanted that incomplete Cultivation Technique, but you never told me it was so severely damaged!"

Hearing Old Cui’s words, Ye Qingchen asked in disbelief, "Old Cui, are you blaming me for this? You never asked about its condition, and you were the one who insisted on taking it. What does that have to do with me? And you, Uncle Wang, it’s a real pity they didn’t arrest you. If Zheng Ming hadn’t listened to your advice, this would have been over long ago. Their current situation is half your fault."

Ye Qingchen’s words instantly struck a nerve.

"Ye Qingchen! We’ve given you enough face! Isn’t this all because of you? Yet you stand there spouting nonsense and twisting the truth. Today, we’re going to teach you a proper lesson!" Uncle Wang snarled as he stepped forward.

He and Old Cui were usually archenemies, but because of Ye Qingchen, they had reached a temporary agreement. Old Cui knew Ye Qingchen was set to acquire the Zheng Family’s treasure, and Uncle Wang had promised that if they could kill Ye Qingchen, it would all be his. The Zheng Family’s hoard contained many things Old Cui coveted, so of course he chose to cooperate.

Uncle Wang, on the other hand, simply wanted to avenge his master. Although the Zheng Family were no saints, he had served them loyally for many years and had long since come to see them as his own. With things having come to this, his heart burned with hatred.

"It seems the two of you intend to fight me to the death today," Ye Qingchen said, his expression impassive, though his eyes were filled with disdain.

"Today, we will see to it that you have no grave to call your own! Ye Qingchen, you should have known long ago that there would be a price for your actions!" Uncle Wang scoffed as a weapon instantly appeared in his hand. Seeing this, Old Cui also drew his weapon.

Facing his two opponents, Ye Qingchen let a cold smile creep onto his lips. "Is this all the strength you possess?"

The moment he spoke, he shot forward with incredible speed, reaching Old Cui in the blink of an eye and hammering a fist toward him.

BANG!

Old Cui’s weapon collided with Ye Qingchen’s iron fist. Ye Qingchen’s body didn’t move an inch, while Old Cui was sent stumbling back several steps. The terrifying force from the impact injured him. Without the slightest pause, Ye Qingchen’s figure moved like a phantom, attacking Uncle Wang next.

Uncle Wang’s face grew grim. He dodged quickly, retreating several steps to narrowly avoid the onslaught. Seeing this, Old Cui made his move, charging straight at Ye Qingchen. Ye Qingchen saw him coming and swiftly sidestepped, his own weapon lashing out in a counterattack.

CLANG!

The two weapons crashed together, sending sparks flying.

Uncle Wang’s expression grew uglier. His strength was arguably on par with Ye Qingchen’s, but he knew this was a dangerous fight. Ye Qingchen’s assault is too fierce. If he gets an opening, it’s over for me. I have to find a way to finish him, and fast.

With that thought, Uncle Wang stomped his foot and leaped into the air, his body spinning rapidly. He used the momentum to hurl a volley of flying daggers at Ye Qingchen’s feet, preventing him from getting any closer.

Seeing the daggers descending from above, Ye Qingchen raised an eyebrow and quickly retreated.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

He pushed off with his feet, his body moving swiftly to evade the attack. The daggers that missed their mark shot back toward him again. Ye Qingchen dodged them once more, but not before they left several small cuts on his body. He frowned as he looked at the bleeding wounds.

Seeing Ye Qingchen was injured, Uncle Wang seized the opportunity and lunged at him. "Die, Ye Qingchen!"

He streaked through the air, exuding a sharp, murderous aura. Ye Qingchen’s eyes narrowed. With a powerful step, he swiftly dodged the attack. When Uncle Wang’s strike missed, he immediately moved again, charging Ye Qingchen once more.

Uncle Wang and Old Cui attacked relentlessly, their strikes coming one after another, giving Ye Qingchen no time to breathe. Old Cui’s weapon flashed with a cold light, striking at Ye Qingchen from all angles. Both of them were powerful, and escaping their pursuit was no easy task, especially since they weren’t giving him any chance to catch his breath.

Ye Qingchen’s brows furrowed, his eyes narrowing to slits. Suddenly, a sense of danger prickled at his back.

His expression changed as he lunged forward, dodging their pincer attack. Their blows slammed into the spot where he had just been standing, carving a deep trench in the ground.

Seeing Ye Qingchen retreat, Uncle Wang and Old Cui exchanged a glance. Old Cui’s figure flickered, his weapon materializing once more as he stabbed toward Ye Qingchen. Meanwhile, Uncle Wang swung his longsword in a rapid slash. Their coordination was seamless and nearly impossible to defend against.
