Chapter 1993 - 1989: Answering Questions
Ye Fan wanted to fully harness the power of the two small crystals, which was somewhat troublesome; he did not know how to control the force within these crystals. In a situation where the copper mirror within him could not recover, he didn’t even have a way to communicate with them.
The two small crystals were currently quite friendly toward Lan Jing, happily circling around Lan Jing as if they had finally found friends.
Lan Jing herself also liked these two new friends who had come to her side. Lan Jing said happily, "Ye Fan, look, they’re really cute. I think they’re fun. What do you think?"
Ye Fan faced the two crystals, unsure of what to say. Previously, the six small crystals had completely regarded him as their master, even transforming into human forms to become his women. Now, with the six crystals sealed away, his relationship with these two new ones was less intimate. Ye Fan didn’t know how to describe his connection with them, nor could he explain their attributes.
"Lan Jing, can you establish a communication channel with them?" Ye Fan asked.
"It doesn’t seem possible," Lan Jing admitted. "I don’t understand their language, but I can understand some of what they’re trying to express. Ye Fan, it’s really strange. They seem very friendly to me, yet not particularly close. It’s like they each have their own thoughts..."
Lan Jing was a girl skilled in the Mind Reading Technique, but she could not fully grasp the thoughts of the two spiritual entities. Despite her efforts to gauge their mindset, the small crystals were too immersed in the joy of finding friends for her to discern much.
Ye Fan nodded, saying, "Don’t overthink it. Here’s the plan: I’ll try to help the three of you train together to see if we can establish an energy exchange. Afterwards, you can experience this energetic communication."
To Ye Fan, communicating with the small crystals could only start with energy exchange. Within his body, there were remnants of the six small crystals’ energy. If he could release this energy, the seventh and eighth crystals might naturally feel a sense of closeness, and then they might understand their intentions, making it possible to fully control the crystals.
"Alright." Lan Jing was a girl keen on self-improvement. Knowing she was destined to be the Chosen One and tasked with saving the celestial catastrophe filled her with anticipation for the future. Training with Ye Fan was a moment of inner happiness for her.
Ultimately, Ye Fan helped the two small crystals and Lan Jing train together. Energy surged from Ye Fan’s body and flowed between the three of them. Lan Jing absorbed the most energy, while the small crystals received only a tiny portion. Nonetheless, they enjoyed this process of receiving external energy.
After nearly two hours, the training ended. Ye Fan stood up, and the two small crystals seemed satisfied, resting, while Lan Jing had to absorb the energy Ye Fan had given her.
Seeing the training in front of him would continue for a while longer, Ye Fan had many unresolved questions. At this point, he needed to meet two people to gather clues about the crystals and Lan Jing’s constitution from them.

Ye Fan arrived at the ancient relics in the Arctic, where Xi He and the Mysterious Lady were present. When they saw Ye Fan, they were a bit surprised, as Ye Fan seldom came to see them.
"The master seems to have questions he wishes us to answer?" Xi He was the first to understand Ye Fan’s intention and approached him to ask.
Ye Fan nodded slightly and walked towards Xi He and the Mysterious Lady, reaching out to place his hand on Xi He’s cheek. Xi He seemed to understand something and knelt before Ye Fan. Though reluctant, the Mysterious Lady eventually knelt beside Xi He as well.
"I do have questions that are unclear to me, and only you can explain them, particularly regarding Lan Jing; Mysterious Lady, you should have the final say, right?" Ye Fan said.
The Mysterious Lady, somewhat annoyed, replied, "Why even ask me? You’ve already taken her away. What’s the point of asking me these things now?"
Xi He did not possess the Mysterious Lady’s haughty temperament. Before Ye Fan, she generally behaved like an ordinary woman, her touch gentle and seemingly understanding Ye Fan’s preferences, giving him a feeling of superiority.
"Whatever the master wishes to ask, go ahead. If I can answer, I won’t hide it," Xi He said.
Ye Fan looked down at Xi He’s face, then sighed gently, "I really want to know why the copper mirror within me has remained sealed and if there’s any way to unlock it?"
Xi He leaned on Ye Fan’s leg and said softly, "The master wants to unlock the copper mirror, but for now, it appears impossible because its attributes are completely unknown. This Magic Artifact is tied to the ancient celestial catastrophe and can communicate with spiritual bodies; it might be intended for you, master. But, as you cannot control this force, the copper mirror seems sealed, unlockable only by the celestial catastrophe’s power."
Ye Fan looked again at the Mysterious Lady and asked, "What’s the matter with Lan Jing? Why did she become your daughter? I feel you couldn’t have given birth to an ordinary human."
"Don’t use your perspective to guess at my position. Whatever I choose to do is no concern of yours," the Mysterious Lady responded stubbornly.
Ye Fan sighed lightly and said, "You seem to enjoy opposing me; what purpose does that serve you? Since you refuse to discuss Lan Jing, I won’t force you, but now that she’s the Chosen One and my woman, I can’t compromise with you regarding her destiny. Her future can’t be under your control any longer."
The Mysterious Lady turned her head away, not even looking at Ye Fan, feeling frustrated by her predicament under Ye Fan’s control, leaving her aimlessly helpless.
"Alright, let’s begin," Ye Fan said, "Before I seek answers to other questions, I need one more group training session, and you both are my best partners for it."
"Yes, Master," Xi He replied, understandingly. As Ye Fan lifted his head, she already knew what to do, and beside her, the Mysterious Lady, despite her ignorance, would observe Xi He’s actions and naturally understand how to face Ye Fan.
