Iron Blood Earl Riccianne

Chapter 6. Declaration of War (3)

Ships acquired by Caith and Lycaen moved into independent merchant ships, but were actually systematically diverted between ports and ports by one person.

It was by a large man, Calvion, who had just answered Lycaen in a voice of anger.

“Please take good care of it. ”

Calvin tapped my chest and still called out in a loud voice.

“Kuhahaha, just leave it to me! ”

There was only one person who knew who Calvin was, Lycaen. Because one day, Lycaen brought him in to command the fleet.

Even Master of the Information Guild Joel doesn't know anything about Calvion. At that point, everyone tilted their heads even when they first brought him in and entrusted him to the Merchant Guild.

But as a result, the two men that Lycaen brought in were outstanding.

Karon has won the largest triumph in the Kingdom of Bren, which controls the eastern part of the continent. And Calvin correctly predicted the sailing schedule of all the merchant ships sailing in the sea that didn't know when any variables would arise, and achieved the same performance as Caron's.

“From now on, we don't know when things will change. But now that I've told everyone about the big picture I'm thinking of, if things change, move according to your judgment. ”

Everyone nods at Lycaen's words, and Joel suddenly asks.

“By the way, Hmm, it's actually a bit vague to ask now.... ”

“Tell me. ”

“Are you sure you want to have this troop? ”

“Huh? What do you mean? ”

Lycaen asked as if he didn't understand.

“You don't know their size, do you? ”

It is almost impossible to avoid the eyes of the art room guild once it has been revealed, even if you are completely hidden.

A year ago, after the Cyclops showed up at Caith's wedding, Joel insisted on digging into them. We lost a lot in the process, but we also learned a lot about them.

And the result was unimaginable. It was such a terrifying size.

Those belonging to the group called Circus itself, comprised of virons, were approximately 10,000 people. Even 10,000 of them were so numerous that their mouths opened, but even more frightening was that the number of people who were embraced by the circle or who unknowingly moved according to their will was enormous.

Most of them were lords who owned their troops, almost half the continent.

Lycaen, Caith and Joel are trying to deal with them now.

That was Joel's concern. Not all of the forces that make up half the continent will be spent, but even if only half of them are deployed, they will be difficult to deal with.

But Lycaen shakes his head.

“Didn't you tell me before? ”

It was the story I told at the time of my first plan.

I couldn't help but worry about the size of the circus. That's why the only way to get it out was to fight alongside the lords of each province who still haven't revealed themselves quietly, surrounded by Elisha.

But Riccianne saw that there is no way that half the continent is occupied.

“Of course you have a point. But you don't know how to get out. Simply put, even one more Earl of the Empire is incredibly inferior to our numbers. ”

“When one moves, two become visible, and it can reveal four tails. Besides, their goal is to conquer the continent. Do you really think we need to mobilize that much troops for someone with such a big dream? ”

“It's very common, but there's a saying. Lions do everything they can to catch rabbits. ”

“There is no way to risk their big goals getting further away. Maybe we should give up the real goal if we don't do it right. To them, we're just a stone's throw away on the long way. ”

“How can you be sure of that? ”

Joel asks with a stuffy face.

If this is a misjudgment, they may die doing nothing.

But Lycaen was convinced.

“Those guys have a clear head. ”

“What?"

“I know what's in the heads of those who think they're the best. Even after everything I've done. ”

“Is that so?"

Joel frowns slightly and thinks. Then I slowly lowered my head without knowing it. The others have left, and so far they've rarely moved directly. The last Conquest War alone must have conjured up leaders from different countries.

The only move they made was to raid Caith's wedding venue.

“Running away at Caith's wedding, should we consider it to be the only thing that makes us taller? ”

“Sort of. ”

“Oh, thank you so much! ”

“Hehehe, you should thank me. ”

“I'd better.”

“Let's start moving, then. ”

After a while, the ships that were gathering at the southern seas began to spread out slowly.

* * *

“You can barely find it, and suddenly you're out in the ocean? ”

Vermouth's murmuring voice hardens.

Baroque nods, standing in front of him.

“That's right.”

“Where were you headed? ”

“I've been tracking him, but he's been disconnected. Looks like they got us. ”

“Baroque, is that all you've got? ”

“I'm sorry. ”

Baroque squeezes his head, but Vermouth's expression rarely clears.

“I don't like it. ”

The head is shaken, muttering in a furious voice.

It's not that I dislike it. The situation was flowing in a very bad direction.

Bermurk hates situations that don't go his way, that are, out of control.

If something goes wrong with the intention, it means you have to be attracted to the situation. And being dragged around means not being able to execute the plan properly, and ultimately not being able to fulfill the original purpose.

“Where did I go wrong? ”

At first, it was as planned.

After treating themselves and Barrock as dead, hiding their intentions in the middle of Circus' plan was as planned. Then you go to Mt. Hecron and get the power you want.

After that, I was originally going to use Earl Eigen to fend off the circus, but it didn't work out, so I had a problem for a while. However, I made Lycaen my successor and did my job well.

“Hmph!”

What went wrong was then. that Lycaen and Circus collided to keep each other out of the way. Something happened shortly after that.

After Earl Gronst's wedding, Lycaen suddenly disappeared. for about a year.

As planned, Lycaen was already dead and Circus had to be dead. Only then could I achieve my final goal.

“Hmmm…. ”

Moaning echoes through Vermouth's lips.

What had happened was that Lycaen had made a lot of wrong choices before.

“You picked the wrong guy to use. ”

After being deprived of Earl Eigen, the problem was that he chose Lycaen as another anti-horse in Circus. Doing something unthinkable at the common sense line meant we didn't know what the variables would be for the overall plan.

In fact, Lycaen abandoned their territory and went underground. Ordinary lords would never think of it. But Lycaen did it, and Bermurk's plan went awry. The moment you abandon your territory, the battle against Circus is hard to come by.

“That was the biggest mistake of all. ”

Baroque says with a sinful look on his face.

“It was my idea to use him as an anti-horse at the time. I didn't think it would work like this... ”

In fact, Bermurk was reluctant to use Lycaen at the time. But Barrock made a strong argument, and Bermurk accepted it.

In other words, Vermouth himself is the one who ultimately made the decision. Bermurk has never done anything stupid to blame others for such problems. It is because we know that if we do not have an objective understanding of the situation, everything will be wrong.

“I'm the one who gave permission anyway. So there's no need to bring it up. The question is, how do we solve this? Do you have any idea what he might do next? ”

It's not just the finding of Lycaen's trail that matters.

But to be able to think beyond common sense means that we cannot rule out the possibility of having a much stronger power than we thought from this side. The problem was that there could be a strong force. That's because there's a risk of taking down Circus with that kind of power.

“We investigated ships going out to sea at the same time after the loss of contact with the men who were hunting Earl Frost. ”

“If the man who was hiding had begun to move, so had his other troops. So what's the result?”

“Yes, there were many merchant ships out to sea at the same time without luggage being properly loaded. We're investigating their destination now. ”
