Lesson 26: Forest Weapons, Daniela's Past

The light leaking out of the room stretches out the shadow of a broken rock. We walked into the room in the shadows.

"This is..."

"Of Ancient Elves..."

Daniela looks at Sole and squeals. The object in front of you appears to be related to an ancient elf.

"But this, more than a thousand years old, what is it? Is it something so beautifully preserved?

"That's what they call the Super Magic Age, so. Preservation magic and environmental magic are out of step with the current level. So it doesn't degrade, and it doesn't break. That's why these weapons stay the same way they were 1,000 years ago."

Yes, it was the weapon that rested in the room. Double-edged straight sword. Single-edged dagger. Larger blade spear. Clear green short bow. As for the blades, they were all beautiful emerald like bows. The bow doesn't have a blade, so I guess it's green in itself. I think that's probably the kind of metal.

I mean, well stiffened, and stiff. It's obvious it's not normal metal.

"An ancient elf weapon, huh? Beautiful. It's like a piece of art."

"I'm not wrong about the rabbit. It would be great if used as a weapon. Because not degrading means not destroying the blade. I don't need rough care. And the products of that era are also of great value as crafts. The nobles want to gather together. As an ornamental."

I see... I mean, it's going to be pretty good for the price. I'm not going to sell it. Or in the first place...

"Is that something you can take home?

"You don't mind. The lord who ruled the land may say something, but it came out of a ruin that has never been found before. It's what adventurers have explored and found, so if you want it, you'll have to buy it away."

"I see. Then I'll take it. but now Daniela can you get me the sword because I want to maximize its movement?

That's what I said, pounding the sword I lowered to my hips, and slapping. That's what I'm asking the Admiral for weapons, and that's what the Admiral told me. Good weapons don't raise people. This weapon is too early for me.

"No, I..."

Daniela sees her own arsenal. I guess it's an admirable weapon. I guess there's something I think about replacing it.

"I can't have that much for now. If you just had it, you could ask a rabbit, too, right?

"I have no choice. It might get in the way when it comes to fighting, but I'm going to fight with all kinds of weapons sooner or later, so do you want to train to move with a lot of them?"

"You don't have to."

Beowulf, which has always been air, interrupts.

"If you're a bunch of Forest Wolves, I let you pull it up. I didn't even intend to get involved in my battle. It changes the air slightly, but we sent it to the south woods."

Isn't that a goblin forest over there? Does it even start in war?

"There were many goblins here, too. Looks like my arrival has changed the air, but it will be my family's forest again."

Forrest Wolf's preferred magic was caused by Beowulf's exaggerated magic. Goblin Forest in the south will turn into Forest Wolf Forest. The magic vegetables of the forest of Forest Wolf in the north also change. In other words, the evicted goblins will go to the North Forest. That's a replacement.

Grab an ancient elf weapon as you write down the alternation of situations on the map in your head. Lynn, and I hear a bell-like sound. Gear up as you reposition all sorts of weapons, and eventually I'll have a straight sword, a spear, and a bow. Daniela was to have a dagger.

"Sorry, Asagi. I forgot about the arrows."

I was going to have Daniela hold the bow, but I hear the arrow barrel I was already equipped with got in the way. The ancient elf bow did not have the option of an arrow barrel though.

"I don't have any fights planned, so I'll hold them for now. Let's just get back to town and think about it."

We took the weapons of the old days and left the ruins behind. There was a lot going on, but now the enhanced accommodation closes the curtain.

There was a time when I thought so too.

"That's right, that's right, Asagi. I'll give it to you."

Soon Beowulf, whose wounds are almost healed, calls me back to base.

"Come on, I'm tired because of you, so I want to go home."

"Well don't say that. When I'm in my class, I get a lot more knowledge. I don't know how it works, but they can grant it."

"Grant?"

"Mm-hmm. Me, the Beowulf grant. Gratefully receive it and use it to fully fight when you see each other again."

Without waiting for my response, Beowulf inhales deeply and howls loudly and long. Then the squeal emitted from Beowulf became a particle and poured down on me. Forest grains are sucked into my body and suddenly I understand. Like him, I don't know how it works, but I see he's got new skills.

"'Forest Wolf's Leg', use it well"

That being said, Beowulf distorted the corner of his mouth and left like a wind.

"Ha... you were a noisy guy"

"It's a miracle you're alive..."

Daniela and I take a sigh of relief. Speaking of which, I had something to worry about.

"Daniela, I was probably upset earlier, but are you okay?

"Oh, oh... right... I was too upset by the boulders. You didn't train enough."

"It won't be a lot of training... what's going on?

Between the lines, the word 'old' enters.

"Should I talk to Asagi... let's just get back to base"

"Right..."

Moving tired bodies, we began to move again, or gradually, towards a stronghold.

□ □ □ □

There were no raids by Forest Wolf on the road. There was no sign of it. I guess what Beowulf was saying was true. Potspots and Daniela told me that they were lighting the bonfire and cooking again with the ingredients that remained.

"That was 70 years ago."

"Wait a minute."

Is it too far ahead? How old is it now?

"Asagi, that's a violation of manners. For now, I'm only going to say 200."

"Enough..."

Mr. Daniela, they're about to make 200 big breakthroughs.

"A clan was hit by a demon."

Stampede. They said that was what caused it. That seems to be a common story in itself. but...

"The stampede of the dragon species is rare. Not many more species in the first place. He's a nasty demon, and he's a crusader at the point of his toddler. We have to send out an army of adult dragon species. Crusades are unavoidable. Such an adult stampede. The clan has been destroyed."

Daniela watching it in front of me. The moment I rushed out of my home trying to escape with my family, they crushed my family in front of me by a runaway dragon breed. She turned back to her home in the blood and organs of her dispersed father and mother and hid herself in an underground pantry as she went semi-frequent. Daniela says the smell of dark blood may have escaped the nose of the dragon species.

"It was horrible for a while and I couldn't even go outside. Luckily, I had no trouble eating because it was a pantry. That's exactly two weeks. I regained the feeling that I was going crazy somehow and kept it down. And every day, it was a month after the accident that I saved money and ate it up."

The first time on earth in a long time was like hell, he said. Smell and rot of blood that won't go away after time. Daniela vomited the gastric juice left in her empty stomach at the hellish sight of a corpse scattered by demons.

Still surviving, Daniela apparently escaped the settlement of the white elf wearing the protective gear her father had bought herself, pulled out of the underlying house, and the weapons she had given away from her mother, who had become a figure.

That's what Daniela says. She looks at the armor she put up on the tree. Right... is that what it was? I remember Daniela's expression when she told me to get the weapon of an ancient elf.

Serve the boiled soup to Daniela by the vessel. Daniela smiles gently when she receives it.

"The sight of that time is still in the back of my brain. Even if I'm spending it like I forgot, I still have things to dream about. It was decided that morning and I was wet with tears. It's an event in the past, but I'm sure I'll remember it until I die. It's a memory you'll never forget."

Daniela reminds me of the sight that followed me back then. It was Beowulf's leg holding me back. I guess the moment I was about to be crushed overlapped with Daniela's past memories. Steal a glimpse of Daniela as she remembers it. I also felt like she looked like a crying tired little girl drinking slowly holding a bowl of soup in both hands.

I drink the soup I can make, too. The soup that stained my tired body didn't know the flavor until the end.
