Isekai Ryouridou
Black Knight Loyalty (Bottom)
Three days after face-to-face with Refraia, San Jura remained in the Inn Town of Genos for a long time.
Cycleus and the others are not allowed to leave Genos without permission. So this is how you have to roll over the inn pretending to be a merchant for a period without a job.
Of course, there were many safer and more comfortable lodgings in Castle Town, but Sanjula spent more time in the lodging town. Staying in Castle Town was easier to spot, and I felt that the rough, cluttered lodging in Accommodation Town was more appropriate for my position.
(Originally, I am not in a position to be allowed access to the castle town. I'm not even allowed to reveal my identity, it's the presence of shade)
In the corner of the dining room of a filthy inn, Sanjula had a single fruit liquor.
The sun hasn't set yet, it is at dusk. All that was liquored from this hour were outlaws who were unrighteous.
Since Genos is a rich town, there are many outlaws in the Inn Town. Especially this inn was an easy back street lodging for such students.
But there was no one approaching Sanjula with black skin peeps, even with a headscarf on. Because the people of the east deal with poison, so do the outlaws not try to be so slight.
(Most importantly, I was born and raised in the west, and I can't tell the difference between poisonous grass and herbs.)
Considering that there was no such benefit, Sanjula let her raise her hand to demand new booze.
My daughter, a little younger than Sanjula, approached me with a cheerful voice saying yes.
"... fruit liquor, another drink, please"
"Is fruit liquor all you need? If you don't put some food in your belly, it's bad for you, isn't it?
Sanjula remained silent and let the red copper coin split be put on the table.
A young girl with a murky, fleshy body hangs one eyebrow with no fear of "what".
"I was kind enough to say so. I wonder how the Sims don't have this kind of affection!
"... fruit liquor, please"
"Uh, yes, yes. Please wait a moment."
As my daughter pulled into the back, the motherly woman was calling for something with a worrying face. I'm sure he's cautious not to slap unwanted mouths on the people of the east.
Even at the end of the day, there is still a warm relationship between parents and children.
There are so many silver coins hidden in Sanjula's pocket that he can't grasp them. Still, I never thought those parents and children would be the ones walking happier raw.
"Speaking of which, you heard some funny rumors."
And I heard one of the outlaws making a foolish noise about one empty seat in the house start talking like that.
"In Behett's lodging town in the north, he said he saw the Black Death Wind."
"The Wind of Black Death"? They were all captured by the Genos militia last year, from the top to the bottom, right?
"Oh. Rumor has it they were making a fuss at Behett's inn. I bought up a barrel of liquor from the inn, and it was like a wingspan."
"So how do dead people drink? It's just a mistake."
"If it was one or both of us, I would have misjudged him, but he had an old relationship with the Wind of Black Death, so he always knew this guy's face. So he jumped out of the inn in a hurry."
"Why? If you're familiar with your face, why don't you split the liquor?"
"Stupid bastard, a whole bunch of bandits have been declared to have been executed in Genos, right? If that's true, doesn't that mean someone in Genos's nobility snuck those guys off? You've got to get close to those nasty people."
"Yeah. I don't know."
"More or less," The Wind of Black Death "was an extraordinarily vicious bunch of bandits. Not only do they take the hardware, they're like crazy beasts who don't mind killing everyone they attack. If I were you, I wouldn't want to come near you without a nobleman."
"Heh, that's sword swallowing.... but why would a nobleman let those vicious people get away? Doing that won't do nobility any good, will it?
"I don't know. Out of the blue, he's probably working for a nobleman, and he's got a job to kill. They don't know benevolence, so we can't do that."
"I see. It's very different from the Red Beard Party."
"Oh, that's a nostalgic name! Speaking of which, when it comes to the Red Beard Party -"
Sanjula had only heard that far.
Take a seat and aim for the exit with your curling feet.
"Is that it? What about you, this booze?!?
My daughter's voice came after me, but Sanjula left the inn, regardless.
The sky is stained with purple and tells us that the sunset is near.
But unless the sun sets completely, you can enter the castle town.
Sanjula ran down a stone street, driven by black passion.
(Again... are those guys still just killing innocent people to fatten their own personal bellies?
Nor was this the first time I had talked about being caught up in this thought.
In fact, there were various rumours flying around the inn.
One of them was that all trade with Banaam fails.
Once upon a time, six years ago, the mission to give the country began with a bandit group called the "Red Beard Party" killing them all, and ever since, it seems that trade unions trying to come and go between Genos and Banaam have often been accidental.
"Banaam is a town known for its Fuwano and Mammalia. Don't you feel relieved that the Count of Turan doesn't have to be connected to a banner or something?
Some of them behaved that way.
Since Turan is also a region of Fuwano and Mammalia, it seemed certain to lose a lot when trade with Banaam began.
Other than that, there are always black rumors stuck in the nobility of Genos.
Especially the people of the boarding town, etc., appeared to be strongly dissatisfied with the nobility.
"They'll never imitate what they lose."
"People by the woods, they're all wild, even if they do bad things in town."
"It's always us watching you cry."
Even if I wasn't listening, such a voice sounded like every day.
It also eroded Sanjula's heart so badly that she didn't like it.
(What the hell am I living for? Am I born to be part of a spicy nobleman? Is that - the fate of the human being who was born as the son of Cycleus?
The castle gate was still open.
As usual, issue a pass and go for Count Turan's residence.
There was nothing, such as a firm purpose.
I just wanted to hit Cycleus with my thoughts.
So if you want to banish Genos, fine.
If Cycleus tries to harm Sanjula to keep a secret, that is one answer. It means that Sanjula didn't deserve or make sense to live in this world.
It was a total surprise visit, but the guards of the mansion never flaunted me. There was alcohol in it once in a while, but I don't even get much on the table with this black skin. It would have smelled like fruit liquor, but it would never have allowed me to enter.
That Mahydra's daughter comes out again and invites Sanjula into the mansion.
And she said the same dialogue as three days ago.
"Um... the Count is out, so I have been told to show you to Lord Silel... so did I make a mistake...?
Sanjula felt like standing up.
But all I could say was yes.
"What are you doing today? I don't remember calling you."
Silhouel enjoyed the fruit liquor alone today.
Sanjula utters untouched words while dampening her inner fierceness.
"For three days, I didn't have a job, so I came to see how things were, to disappoint. Me, work, no?
"If I have a job, I'll contact you here. What do you want now?"
"... work, if not, some town, I wanted to head over, I thought. Forgive me, will you?
"I can't tell you that without talking to my brother. I'll be back in five days."
"Five days later?... Count, where the hell are you?
"It's Doug. He's got some business to talk to about Karon again."
That being said, Syruel gave a humble laugh.
"Well, you've finally let go of that old apartment, so you'll be welcomed at Count Doug's by now. There are many good meaty women in Doug, so it's an envy."
"... Really?"
This man didn't think Sanjula was the right person to hit the mood.
"Okay, I'm going home.... Princess Lifreia, how are you, how are you?
"Oh, he's the same tyrant. That's another lifetime of sickness. I think I like you, so if I can get in a good mood again, I can help you with your last names."
"Well, before I go home, I'll talk to you a little more."
Sanjula graciously left the room.
And ask the samurai for guidance to the room of Refraia.
"Yes... Could it be that you were the one who visited the princess three days ago...?
"Yeah, you're right."
This samurai only sees Sanjula in a headscarf. This would be something you can't even tell from the other Sims merchants.
"Thank you for your patience… The princess was very comforted by your story…"
All I could say was, "Really?"
Sanjula was only allowed to talk about the proper journey while hiding the black emotions that had sprung up in her chest. To be honest, I don't really remember what we talked about either.
(Must have been so disturbing because I exchanged words with her)
To be precise, the depression accumulated over the past year has been decimated by the interaction with Refraia, I suppose.
That's why Sanjula was so disturbed when she just overheard rumors that she couldn't even fool herself at the inn.
She's got everything.
I don't have anything.
She's glowing.
I am sinking into starchy mud.
Perhaps Sanjula was getting jealous of her.
(How angry would Cycleus be if I made her a deceased. Will you continue to regret for the rest of your life that you have invited me and others to your own hands)
Such delusions swirl in my drunken and cloudy head.
Without knowing that, the samurai knocked on the wooden door.
Just like three days ago, during the next, only Musul could wait.
"It's you again. Let me keep your knife and coat."
Place the knife and coat on the table as you were told and let your whole body wander.
As soon as Musul turned to the back door, Sanjula raised the woven fabric removed from his chest to Musul's mouth.
Two days ago, I bought it from a Sim people I knew in town, it's a sleeping pill.
I snuck the medicine into the woven fabric while I was being led from Silhouel's room.
The muscle lasted for a moment, but quickly weakened and stopped moving.
It is more effective than I had heard from a merchant.
After laying gently on the muscle giant, Sanjula regained her knife and coat.
Then, out of the jacket storage, remove the vial of medicine.
In the vial, which liquid was still left in half.
This is a powerful medicine, so you can faint a human just by making him smell the scent. In addition, he heard that swallowing even one mouthful of it would result in eternal death.
How could Sanjula have bought such a medicine?
To die easy for yourself?
To make it easier for someone who isn't you to die?
Even though it was only two days ago, Sanjula had no idea how she felt.
(Whatever it is, it would be easier to die than being slashed with a knife)
Sanjula wrapped herself around her jacket and gently pulled open the door behind her as she grabbed the vial.
Refraia was also sitting alone in a bench.
Sitting in a bench, looking out the blurry window.
The moment he saw the side of it, Sanjula was to stand stunned.
Sanjula knew the side of it.
Rin and haphazard, it was the side of Sanjula's memory that kept her from hurting her chest.
(How could you... how could you...)
Sanjula's mother was present when she was a little bird imprisoned in a bird basket.
No matter how luxurious the bird basket was, there's nothing you can do to bring it from there. Her mother was annoyed by the feeling of loneliness that would not be filled even if Sanjula was by her side, until the last moment when she returned her soul to heaven.
(You live surrounded by your family... you are a princess of nobility with no freedom whatsoever... how can you look like that? Who the hell are you waiting for?
Sanjula walked half-consciously, closing the door.
With that sound, the young princess looks back at this one like a little.
"Hey, what are you? With whose forgiveness have you stepped into my room?
"... excuse me. My guard, he's asleep."
Answering in an almost dreamy state, Sanjula peeled off her jacket headscarf.
"It's me, Sanjula. Dear Silhouel, on your order, I have visited your room."
"Oh, it's you.... that Musul was asleep? I wonder if he's stupid. I'll put some vase water on you later."
Refraia seemed somewhat confused at the same time.
He is swimming his eyes unreliably, and he has an age-appropriate young face. He seemed hastily hesitant that he had exposed himself to a far more defenseless appearance because he was not looking afraid of Sanjula.
"... to sit down, will you forgive me?
"Huh? Yeah, you can sit on your own. If I stood a little long like you, I'd only be blind!
As Sanjula lowered her hips on the bench, Refraiia stared suspiciously.
It is a glance as if you have stolen a look of your own and are exploring it.
"Princess Lifreia, I must apologize."
"Shh, an apology? What the hell am I supposed to apologize for? Well, it's just as hard to forgive an escort martial officer to come into your lady's room without permission as it is to sleep."
"No, I was lying."
Refraia frowned cursorily.
With his feelings and thoughts lost sight, Sanjula utters words to his heart.
"I'm not a merchant. I, Count Cycleus, am a man."
"Subordinates? What do you mean, subordinates?
"Count, by order, different jobs, fulfilled. That's why we're touring the towns of Selva."
"... I'm not sure. Then why were you faking your identity?
"It was me, who I was, a secret. I had to hide who I was because of my secret work, my orders."
Refraia has an increasingly grumpy face.
Sanjula spinned her words as she stared at its young and neat face.
"But right now, to keep working, I'm lost. Count, I'm in a mood, I don't know."
"What mood? I don't know you better."
"Count, good or bad, I don't know, so I'm wondering if I should follow"
Refraia then gave a firm voice to the little fool, "Han".
Looks like the usual arrogance has finally returned.
"It's not that easy to split a good guy or a bad guy, is it? So, you're a good man?
"I want to be a good guy, I think, but it's hard"
"Well, I guess so. Nobody wants to be a bad guy. But if anyone insists that I'm a good man from the ground up, I'll make you a cup of tea."
"... Count, good man, do you think?
It should also be noted that when Sanjula inquired, Refraia began to laugh out loud after a short while.
"Are you really one of your father's men? Isn't there something wrong with you asking my daughter about that?
"But Count Cycleus, the most knowledgeable man, you, I thought,"
Then, the laughter dissipated from Leflaia's face.
Now the two and the look of anger is twisted up.
"I don't know! What a father can only show his face in a few days, and he doesn't let you peek inside where he does! He's only interested in delicious food and silver coins!
"... but is it family?
"If we were family, would you say that it's natural to love each other? Someone's lying! I guess the bard's bullshit is still more believable!
Refraia snapped a long chair seat flat in her hand.
Those big eyes are brimming with tears.
"Even when my mother was summoned, she didn't spill a single tear! He doesn't have the heart to love people! Or maybe you're afraid to love people! If you want the truth, you can ask the person!
"... Countess, soul, were you being returned"
"Yes, it is! My mother has left me, and my father will not even look at me! The only thing left to do is to sift through that violence! What a heartwarming story!
He was as angry as a beast trampled on his tail.
This was the true appearance of the feared young tyrants of the samurai and the lowest surname.
"This is the reality that it was great to be the Earl's house! If you've done your love to your father, why don't you just leave Genos? Well, if you want silver coins, you can shake your tail laughing in the shadows!
"... you, Father, don't you love me?
Refraia sparkles tearful eyes.
"You weren't listening to me? There's no place for me to fall in love with my father!
"But if you're a family, don't you think it's going to be an unstoppable thought, a occurrence?
Otherwise, I didn't have as much reason to look.
Refraia bites her little lips off and makes Sanjula look like a parent's vendetta.
"... Is that why it's so painful? I can't throw it away because I'm a family member, not someone I love or love. Otherwise, no one will suffer."
"Oh...... then I understand"
I want to be loved, but I don't. I want to love you, but I can't. And yet, if we can't cut off the edge of blood, the only way to do it is to suffer.
(Besides, if you can't completely throw away the thought that you may be loved... the bitterness will just increase)
That's why Sanjula never left Genos.
I don't think I'm being scorned, and there's not a single piece of love hidden somewhere - and I can't get rid of that hope.
"... you must have been surrounded by a sawdust warm family. The people of the east weigh more blood bonds than the people of the west."
Refraia asked that with a teasing voice in her throat.
Sanjula shakes her head slowly.
"I, the people of the east, do not. Born in the west, it's a people in the west. As we talked about before."
"But was either the father or the mother the people of the east?
"It was my mother, the people of the east. Mother, when I was alive, I was happy, I think. Mother, you must have lost your way."
"... then what about the father, the people of the west?
Sanjula got lost, but it seemed a mistake to unravel everything here.
"Father, I don't know. Mother, I didn't try to tell you anything. It was just me, my family, my mother."
"... yes. Then you're just like me. I was happier than I am when my mother was alive."
Refraia rubbed her eyes in the back of her hand and she turned to her face.
"You're a funny one. I usually throw a vase about three times."
"Really? I appreciate all the stories you've told me."
"... so what do you do? Will you continue to work for your father?
It was a difficult question.
But sometimes only one thing was fixed.
"I'll work. Genos, I couldn't leave, I thought."
"Hmm? Well, if you defy your father, you won't be able to stay in Genos at all."
"Yes. I, this land, will stay"
You can always throw everything away and walk away.
But Sanjula needed to know more about different things before she did.
What kind of person is your own father?
What kind of person is my own sister?
Can I love Cycleus? Can you be loved?
Can I love Refraia? Can you be loved?
If even one of them can be accomplished, Sanjula may find the meaning and value of her birth. Now, I just had to take that hope.
(Still, it wouldn't be a worse bet than ever)
Cycleus has shut his heart so hard, but Refraia has been so flattered. If she was this weak, arrogant and dangerous girl, she would have exposed everything immediately.
(Maybe I no longer deserve to be loved by people. Still, as long as you can love someone...... I'm sure you can live without despair)
Thinking that way, Sanjula gently slipped the vial of medicine she'd been holding in her hand into the inside of her coat.
