Accommodation Town Exchange ③ - Backstreet

Thus the day passes, and it is the seventh day of the blue moon.

This time, a little later than the last time, half the moment of the descent was fixed as the meeting time.

At that time, we bought snacks from the stalls again, ate in the Blue Sky Dining Room, and waited for our work to finish. All the members of the Forestside and the Inn Town had their faces in the carving limits of the promise.

"Hey. I'm sorry I made a scene today, Asta"

While stating it that way, Yumi laughs with pleasure. The number of young people in the boarding town standing behind it had increased to about ten.

The last five are all face-to-face, and furthermore, Terrier-Mass is secretly refraining. Terrier-Mass, who was already stuck in Ben and Levi, was bowing to us with a smile on his face.

"We'll rendezvous later anyway, so I told you to wait for me. This is how many people I've had."

"Haha. It doesn't matter at all. So, is this the total number of people attending the gathering?

"Maasa! There's about twice as many people waiting for you at the rendezvous point!

Then the total would be about thirty. Hats are also off on the breadth of Yumi's face, but it was a very gratifying story that so many people wanted to interact with the people by the woods.

That and the opposing Forestside members were eight, including the elder brothers of Ai-Fa and Din in the last six. Now after finishing the stall business, it's a calculation to add me, Yun-Sudra, Tour-din and Fay-Baim to make it twelve.

Gaz and Ratz's blood families were seeing each other participate, but Fay-Baim had received an offer from Baim's parents to join him in the name of seeing the deeds of Fah's house. In the case of Tour-Din, the order was reversed, and Yumi first gave me a personal invitation, which was recognized by Graf-Zaza, so I was offered not to allow one of the men to participate.

Either way, the people who have finished greeting can buy up tons of Giva food again and head to the Blue Sky Dining Room. It was not always possible to welcome so many group guests at this impending closing hour.

And this time, it's even included in the ai-fa. This is another cool thing to do when I buy a dish that I made out of bronze coins.

"Guys, that sounds like fun! When the Lew family is also in a period of rest, ask Father Donda to do it!

Limi-Luu, who worked at the Luu family stall, said so.

Naturally, Tara will be welcomed as a guest at that time.

"Where the hell are they taking us today? Haven't you heard more about Yun-Sudra either?

When Tour-Din asked in a whisper, Yun-Sudra nodded with regret, "Yes".

"He said the parents went out to Chim's house in the morning and listened to him all the way to a much more silly place, but that never told us. In the meantime, he said there was nothing dangerous."

"Really? I hope so..."

Tour-Din was somewhat of an uneasy face.

Are you concerned about the security of the accommodation town itself, as you should have confidence in Yumi?

"Oh, could it be that Tour-Din remembered Doug?

When I asked him that way, Tour-Din caused him to bring a quiet body.

"Yes. With all those hunters, I know I don't need to worry about anything... I'm sorry I'm unwilling..."

"That's not true. It was quite an experience."

When we went on a trip to Dubbag in the neighboring town, the outlaws attacked us in the lodging. It must have been a traumatic experience for the young Thur-din, although he gained nothing from the work of Ai-Fa and Dan-Rutim.

"But, well, in Genos, yes, there can be no human being who wants to leave the forest. Sin-Lu's victory in the martial arts has earned him a reputation for the arms of the hunters by the woods."

"Yes. I believe so.... the people of the woods are not as abhorrent as they used to be."

That being said, Tour-Din smiled to encourage himself.

Not so much, and the street food will be a sold out haul. I was able to finish the job a little earlier than usual because of the untimely group buying a ton of food.

"Then I apologize, but I ask you to return the stall. I'll see you guys at the Lew's the day after tomorrow."

Say goodbye to the homecoming people and turn to the Blue Sky Dining Room. Yumi and the others, having finished their meals, were still having a pleasant conversation there.

"Thank you for waiting. We're done here. At first, where are you taking me?

"Ah, good luck! All right, then, let's go!

A group of more than twenty people in total swoop through the streets in rows. It was Yumi who took the lead in it, and there was Joo-Run's appearance instead.

Other people also seem to interact in moderate dispersion. Having safely joined Ai-Fa, I decided to give a voice to the familiar Ben for now.

"Not now, but all the people here are residential townspeople, right? After all, are there many born houses that do business, like inns?

"Well, there's no field in Inn Town, so you have to do some business to live. If you're not a merchant, you're a foot guard."

"Oh, I see. The guards, they all live in Genos."

"No, mercenary scumbags flowing from the other town often become guards. I guess those people live in barracks all the time. … it's just that if you were born into a house that seemed like a job, you'd have to either volunteer for a guard, earn a dime on your feet, or you'd have to lose yourself to the outlaws who make a lot of money."

That said, Ben had an evil grin.

"Well, there's nothing to worry about when it comes to the people gathered here. The worst part of this would be me or Yumi."

"What? I'm guessing you're saying something extra again, aren't you?

And Yumi, who was walking forward, glistens.

"It's nothing," Ben said, laughing naggingly.

The people on the road have also turned a strange eye, as it is a group of twelve people included by the woods. If that is a group made up exclusively of people by the woods, it will not be even more surprising now, but it is strange that they are taken together with the young people of the Inn Town. Even for me, I felt so fresh that I could walk down a stone street that I couldn't walk.

"Oh, this way. The road gets a little narrower, but don't fall off!

and Yumi enters the sidewalk from the main street.

I am the stranger. In other words, I have stepped into the path that leads to the Westwind Pavilion and the path that leads to the Xuanrong Pavilion and later to the square where the City of Meat opens.

As for the facade, it may be close to the residential area where the "Xuanrong Pavilion" is located. The old wooden house is sloppily dense, the ground of soil peels off at the foot, and the road is about five metres wide.

However, there was a table in front of those houses, and there were sesame everyday items and groceries for sale. Behind the table is a chair, mostly it looks like the old folks are holding store numbers.

"Heh. A lot of people do business in the back streets, too."

"Oh, when you open a store on the street, there's a rental fee for the stall and a place to pay for it. I'm making a few pennies, every store, but I don't think it's going to lose that much quality."

"I see. I've been in business for over a year now, and I didn't know anything about these streets"

"Huh. Most errands are done on the surface. But that's merchant and traveler territory, so if we're going to be bad, it's more or less our back street."

I = fa said, "Bad?," he questioned, so Ben smiled bitterly.

"It's a matter of words. We don't imitate the anger of the forest people."

"Uhm. That's how I hear it too"

"The people of the woods are serious. At the banquet, you're making such a fuss."

When Ben said so, the leading Yumi waved heavily.

"Ai-fa to Asta, will you come over here? And everyone else who wasn't at the rally before this."

Me and I-Fa looked each other in the eye, and then came to Yumi. From another place, too, the Thur-din and Yun-Sudra gather.

A slightly different building of interest stood in front of Yumi at the head. Even though all the other buildings were made of wood, only the buildings were made of grey stone.

The size, too, is quite something. The site was likely to cover more than double the size of the other buildings.

"This is a fine building. Guard's quarters or something?

"Hey, this is Selva's cathedral. Joo-Run and the others were rare, so I thought I'd show Asta and the others."

To the words, Yun-Sudra circled her eyes, "Is it a cathedral?"

"We came to the ritual of transferring God in a place called the Cathedral of the Castle Town. Is this the same place?"

"Yeah, because we're not allowed to step into the castle. All babies born in Accommodation Town or Dareim or Turan are blessed with Selva here."

I got a new curiosity, too, and I was supposed to look up at the building.

If you ask me, the style may be similar to the cathedral I saw in Castle Town. but the size, etc. is not comparable, nor does it have such a majestic atmosphere. Gray bricks and the like had been replaced by new ones by the way, and the marks of such repairs reinforced the old impression.

"The people of the woods have already completed the ritual of transferring God, so even if a new child is born, you don't have to go all the way out to Castle Town, do you? So, aren't we going to get blessings in this place in the future?

"Yeah. I'm sure you are"

I'm sure that will be proven in a while by the babies born between Gazran-Rutim and Ama Min-Rutim.

Yumi laughed more when I thought that way.

"Well, come here for a second. I'll give you a peek inside."

"Huh? Aren't you gonna do that and get scolded? I guess this is a sacred place, huh?

"When you're having trouble getting a peek at me, I'm booking you on the window. At this hour, you'll be fine."

But I don't see why I have to bother to take a peek.

With all that room for our temptation, Yumi steps slightly into the sidelines of the diocese.

"Look, it's this way. Try not to get too loud."

I was supposed to meet Ai-Fa and Yun-Sudra in the face.

Then Joo-Run laughs at me with an innocent look.

"I think it's worth a look. 'Cause if I did, Birdu-Fow would have been a lot more interested."

"Birdu-Fow did? What the hell is that supposed to mean?

"If I tell you that, you'll be scolded by Yumi"

Ai-Fa and Yun-Sudra looked disgruntled, but I decided to follow Joo-Run's words.

I guess Yumi is trying to be yummy and entertain us. This must be part of the surprise. Then I thought I should take it with me.

That's how he moves on, and Yumi laughs, pointing at the building wall. There, all five vented windows of any size with no head in them were lined up at equal intervals.

A peek indoors from there - there was an unexpected sight.

A stone hall with such an area was filled with surprises by young children.

"Hey, what's this? What are those kids doing?

"Those are all the kids who live in Genos. I teach monks how to read and write."

Indeed, the toddlers were divided into several groups, where one monk at a time and one at a time seemed to be assigned.

I don't dress like a priest I've seen in the cathedral. Old men and women with long white coats and red shoulders. It does not even hear the content of the words, but it is how they speak while pointing the book in their hands toward the toddlers.

"If it was a wealthy house, I could keep it in a place called a school building. The only thing like that is a big, handful of merchants. Most people who live outside the walls must be keeping their children here for a few days."

"I see... are the people of Genos learning to write or something here"

But I've never heard of Tara going to a place like this. When I asked her that in a whisper, Yumi shrugged her shoulder, "Oh."

"We all live in Dalaim because we're peasants. I guess only people who are going to need a gold account need to make them remember to read and write. I'm sure Tara's brothers were put through here."

"Oh well. Not all kids can get together."

"Yeah. Guess there are the most people in the lodging town after all. There may be a little bit more Cathedral of the Seven Little Gods to the north, so Turan's children may be going that way."

That said, Yumi spilled her white teeth.

"I made a lot of noise and the monks scolded me. I guess if you try being a person in the house, it would just help you to keep a child for a while who can't even help you with the business. There's a limit to the number of people, so I can only keep them for a few days."

Speaking of which, it seemed like there were only little toddlers under ten on the spot. There doesn't seem to be any noisy toddlers after all, but many seem to be bored to shake their bodies or sneak out and chat with their neighboring friends.

(I wonder if half of it is also a nursery role. For those of you who do business, I guess it's a thankful facility)

Thoughting like that, I casually turned my gaze around and discovered the figure of a divine statue glinting securely in the back of the hall, hah breathtaking.

It is a bright red statue of the god - the statue of Selva, the Western god - with four wings and a huge spear.

Much smaller than what we saw in the cathedral, but still about the size of Dick-Dom. He was vibrant and brave, as if a real flame were burning in the back of the room.

"Well, shall we go back over there? If the kids notice this way, they're going to bother the monks."

We're headed back down the street with Yumi hanging out like that.

Joo-Run, who was waiting with a smile on his face, said, "How was it?" He asks.

"Yeah. I was pretty surprised.... but what did Burdu-Fow interest you?

"See, aren't Fou's humans in the middle of learning how to read, write, count and so on for the business of selling meat, too? He said it seems as difficult as an old man, so should we let him learn it from within a young age?"

"Oh, I see... even in my hometown, kids were made to study a lot from a young age"

Yet the people of Moribe are learning to read, write, and calculate on their own without a mentor. If I could take care of the monks and the others, just like the people in the Inn Town, I would have gained as much scholarship as the people in the town.

(Sure, this is a story worth a thought. to the toddlers by the woods, though it could be a bit of a trial)

Yumi looked around at us and then said, "Well!" He raised his voice vigorously.

"Well, you're leaving again. The others are waiting for us in Vilas Square."

"Piazza de Vairas? Vairas is the name of the god of fire."

"Yeah. The square and the streets are more or less named after the Seven Little Gods. It sounds like a lot of bullshit to me."

As he restarts his steps, Yumi points around with supple arms.

"This street, which leads to Vilas Square, is called Vilas Street. By the way, the square where the meat city opens is Madhual's square."

"Heh. I didn't know you had that name. Besides, I'm not familiar with the name Seven Little Gods."

"The Seven Little Gods are children of the Four Great Gods. Aryl the Sun God, Eira the Moon God, Madhual the Rich God, Vairas the Fire God, Nada the Water God, Misa the Fate God, Giri Gu the Underworld God, Seven Little Gods. So you didn't even know that the patron saint of Genos was Aryl the Sun God?

"Yeah, I didn't know. Then Genos believes in the Sun God, so is Easter that big too?

Yumi waved "No, no, no," laughing.

"I think it's just that there are many towns that make it their patron saint because the sun gods and fire gods have deep ties to the western god Selva. Jagal or Sim, the Sun God's Easter will be celebrated in large measure."

"I see. Speaking of which, even Selva is a god of fire. Yet another fire god exists."

"The fire god Vairas is a god who delivers the flames of Selva to humans. Every god is treated like a god, so isn't that the god you have to take care of the most for Asta?

That was without knowledge, as long as I was sorry.

For me, the fire god Vairas is the only thing I've ever had the chance to hear in the title of a song or the wording of an oddity.

"Is that the kind of Seven Little Gods that are familiar to those who live in town?

"Hmm? Sort of. When you give a wedding, you offer a offering to Eira, the moon god, or to Giri Gu, the underworld god, when a familiar person dies... fortune tellers will often devote their destiny god Misa to the Toyoshi god Madhual in a peasant's house, and so on to human life."

After stating so, Yumi delightfully spilled her white teeth.

"When I was a child, I was taught the story by my parents and monks. If the people of the woods get closer to the people of the town, they won't like it, but they'll come into your ear, right?

"Yeah, I'm sure you are"

When I answered that way, Yumi stopped by the end of the road saying, "Ah."

"Just fine. See, this is Vilas."

When I approached him thinking of something, a large table was served in front of a certain house, where wooden sculptures were arranged sloppily.

The size around one is about ten centimeters, all of which are cortically shaped. What Yumi was holding her finger to was a rather humorous sculpture with a toddler's face right out of the pan.

However, my hair is the opposite of my tenderness and I have a slight glance at this one. The impression is that a toddler who likes pranks is hidden in a large pot.

"Yeah. Is this a souvenir shop or something?

"Souvenir, or amulet statue dedicated to the house. Of course, extra people might buy it as a souvenir."

On the other side of the table, a little old woman was sitting on her back and was surprised to see her fellow countrymen by the woods stumbling behind me.

"So, this is Madhual, the god of abundance, and this is Aryl, the god of the sun. Looks like there's no other god."

Madhual, the god of abundance, looked like a man with a bald head and plenty of fat, a shape that was kind of reminiscent of Dan-Rutim.

Aryl, the sun god, has a bigger turn than any other god, and its probably elaborate construction. His face is a lion, his lower body is a horse, and he has a fierce sword or spear.

"Ah... I've seen this statue in Castle Town."

"Then the Sun God is the patron saint of Genos. If you were a nobleman, wouldn't you be worshipping a splendid idol?

The first time I saw the statue was in the room of the former Count Turan residence, in Refraia. In that room were four giant stone statues of the Sun God.

"Madhual is also a god of commerce, so not only the peasants, but also the merchants, decorate their homes. I don't know if Vairas is decorated in a hotel with a lot of work to do."

"Yeah, but you've never seen me look after you in an inn."

"Oh, well. We haven't decorated anything.... Hey Grandma, what customers buy Weilas figurines?

"Huh...? Oh, the fire god figurine will be bought by some Jagal customer... many people care about the fire god even in the south because fire is essential for the job of working out iron..."

That's what I said, and the old woman smiled nasty.

"But the Fire God's help is important to Kamado's work, right? If you like, how about one...?

"Mm-hmm, I don't. Did Asta want it?

"Yeah. It could be a good anniversary for today's gathering."

So when I looked back on my beloved parent, the phrase "like it" came back early.

And Din's eldest brother, who noticed Tour-Din's sobering glance, is also smiling.

"You want Toole, too? Then you can buy it. I'll talk to my parents later."

"But... wouldn't they scold me for wearing copper coins on their own...?

"Isn't it Toole who is bringing so much richness to the Din family today? If this makes you complain, I'll scold your parents better."

Unlike parents, who seem to have difficulty, this elder brother has a very frank temper. According to Thur-din's words, he is like a mother.

"Besides, it wouldn't be the price for parents to scold you, would it? How many red copper coins is this?

"God of Fire, it's three red copper coins..."

"Hmm. Twelve Poitans? It would be cheap if we could get Kamado God and his blessing."

"Thank you," Thur-din bowed his head with a very happy face.

Me and Tour-Din earn favorites from a skewered wooden statue. When he whispered, "That's about it," Thur-din smiled embarrassingly.

"All right, then, shall we go? Next, it's a decorative shop."

"Huh? Didn't you go to the square?

"On the road to the square, you're going to stop by. There are many cheap and quality stores on Vaillas Street, so I showed them around at the previous gathering."

While stating so, Yumi looked back. It was the women of Fou and Run who captured that gaze.

"At that time, you had an ornament you liked. Did the folks at the house allow you to buy it?

"Yes. I've also got some copper coins for that today"

The two young ladies were smiling as if to haunt them.

It was a story that these two names gave Joo-Run their thoughts, but they also showed how they could have broken it against Yumi, so I could breathe relief inside.

"We have plenty of time, so let's just relax. I mean, shopping for everyone this way is one of those interactions, right?

"If you ask me, it's a good idea. Well, thank you for your guidance."

"Yeah! Then let's go!

We were supposed to take another wide walk down Vaillas Street in a row.

I make Ai-Fa laugh at the wooden statue of Kamadu God as he puts it in his lower back.

"Next, it's an ornament. I hope you have some ornaments that look good on Ey-Fa?

"… if it's an ornament, isn't it enough already?"

"But you might have a dig, right? Of course, you don't have to buy it."

"... you seem to have a lot of fun"

Ai-Fa is only a solemn face.

Listen to everyone's shaky voice, and I'll let my mouth rest on that ear.

"I'm fun, and it sounds like everyone's having fun, but isn't Ai-Fa fun?

When I pulled myself back, Ai-Fa leaned over his neck and then leaned back at me to respond.

"I don't know, you look like you're having fun, so I can be happy too"

While I was having trouble responding, I-Fa pulled herself back and put her gaze back on the front.

The usual patriarchal solemnity remained on its frivolous face after all - but its blue eyes did not even appear to have some satisfying light.
