Accommodation stopover ① ~ Prepare below ~

After finishing the stall business, we headed to the Tanto's Grace Pavilion, a stopover.

Four people will be present. My face is Rayna-Lew, Tour-Din, and Zwei-Rutim. Since the start of the confectionery stall, Tour-Din has also been asked to attend as the person in charge.

Nevertheless, this was the second time that Tour-Din joined the stopover as head of the stall, while it was about four months before he started doing business. Even for me, this is the eighth time since the first moon in Huang that I've been invited to attend a meeting, but it's finally the fourth time I've participated.

This was only a lodging stopover, so the people by the woods who are just working on the street commerce are not originally obliged to participate. Still, we were in a position where we wanted to participate in order to deepen our mutual understanding with the people of the Inn Town.

But if the dates are not convenient, I have to be absent. We can't have the date slipped at our convenience, so that would be a natural story.

Still, the lodging stopover was held roughly between the first day and the third of the month - and we often had plans for something on that day.

but things are different this time.

The postponement of the rendezvous to today, the fifth, was also caused by the people by the woods.

The cause of this was the meeting between the chiefs and the nobles.

At that meeting, it will be decided on the taxation of the stalls run by the people of the forest. In order to taste the content, the date of the meeting overlapped with that of the meeting.

"Welcome, everyone by the woods. Except for Asta, it's a little crackly."

Upon arrival at the Grace Pavilion of Tanto, Tapas, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, greeted me with a smile. I'm just visiting to ask Jan to help me deliver Gibba Curry to Alishna.

"Even the chef just seems to have had a paragraph of work. Sift your arms around your throat."

"Really? Now, if you'll excuse me."

On the day of the rendezvous, supper is swayed by the gathered people. Preparing it is the human work of the inn that became the venue, but we were only giving it a name today to prepare the confectionery.

The reason, of course, is to revitalise the distribution of ingredients by revealing new ways of making confectionery. This major project by Polearth and others' proposal should have already been over a year old.

When the four of us got together and headed to the cook, the people who had just finished their work were just about to come out of it. The employees of Tanto's Grace Pavilion, who had received guidance from Jan.

"Ah, good luck to Asta and everyone by the woods"

When I entered the cook, Shayla, who helped me, bowed her head before her husband Jan. So when you raise your face, it is the full grin that spreads there.

"Finally, the Tea Party is approaching in two days. Thank you for your time."

"No, it's nice to meet you"

Two days later on holiday, we - or Tour-Din and Limi-Lu - are playing the part of sifting sweets at the Tea Party again. And the time it takes for the job to start is to ask Pol Earth to issue a pass and go to Silver Star Hall in the morning. This was a story about Shayla following me.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome. Today, I'm going to show you new treats, and I'm cheeky, too."

Jan approached us as she smiled loosely. Instead, there was also the appearance of Nicolas, an unfathomable samurai.

"If you don't mind, can I give you a tour of the cooking here? It's an invaluable opportunity to see what people are doing by the woods."

"Yeah, of course. If you'd like, I'd like a taste."

"It's an unwanted pleasure."

Jan smiled at me, and Tool-Din smiled as well. Tul-din also secretly adores Jan, who specializes in confectionery making.

Let's get to work. There are only thirty people in the neighborhood, so even after the meal, it became quite a portion.

Under Tour-Din's direction, me and Raina-Lou and Zwei-Rutim will go down for a look. Usually, I had quite a fresh mind because I had few opportunities to do my job with Zwei-Rutim.

"Speaking of which, what happened when it came to taxation? After all, as planned, was it decided that taxes would be levied on Lord Asta's business?

That's how Jan has asked, staring at Tour-Din's hand.

I try to nod yes as I move forward with my work.

"It looks like it was passed, just like it was notified beforehand. Well, the Forestside Chiefs were fully receptive from the start, so that's the natural result."

"Really? Regardless of the raw and intestinal meat, it is not obvious that taxes can even be imposed on the commerce of stalls..."

"The people of the woods are in a special position in Genos. Besides, we're talking about how nobody's ever done a lot of stall business before, so it's special in a double sense."

As far as I'm concerned, I didn't have any doubts, for once, because I felt justified in the words of Aug, Fermes' aide.

Then Zwei-Rutim, who was silently encouraging him to work, snorts "hun".

"Thanks to you, there's been another extra job over here, yo. Every month, every month, I have to put on a book or something. That's why, sir."

"Yeah. But didn't Zwei-Rutim keep books voluntarily for a long time?

"I'm not talking about stalls, I'm talking about raw and intestinal meat, yo! Anyway, they decided to rely on Atashi, so Sa! Besides, whenever my family changes, I have to do the same thing again, yo? This won't take long, you won't lose your Atashi job!

"Regarding that, it was also discussed at Lew's house. Again, my father Donda and Gazran-Rutim thought it was not right to rely on Zwei-Rutim all the time."

As Raina-Lou raised his voice, Zwei-Rutim pointed his glimmering eyes at you.

"So where in the woods is a person who can replace the shoulder of an athlete?

"That's the kind of person we're going to raise. He wants to tailor some members of Lew's bloodline so that they can learn how to calculate and read and write, so that other members of the family can make their way... that's what we're talking about."

"... so? Who are you to raise that person?

Rayna-Lew smiled with a sobering look on her toddler's face.

"Of course, there's nothing more to that than holding Zwei-Rutim's hand... but once you put people like that in place, you can also reduce the burden of Zwei-Rutim in the future -"

"It seems like you don't know how hard it is to have a few people who can definitely write up their books, sir! If you were me, you'd be smudging the hard work of teaching people things, Sa!

"Of course it is, I'm going to understand. But... from now on, Michel will also be a force for Zwei-Rutim"

That said, now it was Raina-Lou smiling softly.

"At today's meeting, it was decided that Michelle would also be Rue's family. I've had Michelle help me with my reading and writing training before, but I guess in the future, as a family member of Lew, I'm going to have her work done. If you're Michele, who has mastered computation and reading and writing skills in Castle Town, you'll be a big help."

Zwei-Rutim, who was giving him pneumonia, shut up perfectly and even looked in the wrong direction.

"Well... if I were that father, I wouldn't have any difficulty in calculating or reading or writing, sir. Even my daughter should be able to calculate and read and write at a minimum..."

"Yes. Mim will also help. Don't worry about sharing the struggles with Mim and Michelle in the future."

Zwei-Rutim seemed to be in a much better mood, "Hung," he snorted small.

Then Jan, who kept her mouth shut and watched over Yuki, whispered to me.

"One case of taxation seems to be calling for unexpected ripples. With a toddler by the woods, don't you deserve to learn to read and write in town?

"Yes. The cathedral in Inn Town also offers that kind of hands-on. It looks like we're going a little bit further over there."

However, to go from Moribe to the Cathedral of Inn Town, it takes a commensurate amount of time. Moreover, in the woodland area, which takes care of young children throughout the house, the nursery was not always wanted, so it had not been given much importance until now.

But when the ability to compute and read and write is finally mandatory, the presence of the diocese will again be eliminated. Even with my impression, I still shouldn't think that such training should start at an early age.

(It also sounds interesting that Zwei-Rutim is going to make it easy on the toddlers.... Well, it's going to be a hell of a noise)

Imagine Zwei-Rutim scolding the casual toddlers with key keys, and I was to bite off a laugh by myself.

As we enjoy a meaningful conversation, sweets gradually develop. When the first minute was finished, Tour-Din looked back at the Jans in a rather nasty way.

"And for now, I've finished my taste. May I have your feedback?

"Of course it is. This is also an interesting treat."

It was an abbreviated version of a crêpe with ingredients scissored in flat baked Poitan dough.

However, since it is only a simplified version, the ingredients such as the jam of the arrow, the chocolate of the gigigi, the custard cream and the crumbling of the fruit of the brake are only used individually. Besides, the dough was also very small in size, with one serving of round-baked poitane cut into quarters, where the ingredients were applied and dressed in a puffy fold.

Tour-Din has already devised a fine way to make crepes. Whatever you're hiding, you're going to reveal it at the tea party in two days.

This simplified version of the crepe, which will be revealed earlier than that, was supposed to be sold in stalls.

"Ko, this is all, simple making. But if I could choose four flavors on the spot, I wonder if visitors to the stalls would be happy... We've devised something."

"Surely, it must be simplistic. But it's a treat at Lord Tour-Din's hands."

Jan beckoned, then pinched up one of the treats. What I chose was probably custard cream.

Take half of the sweets that can be eaten with a mouthful of lids. Jan narrowed her eyes satisfactorily.

"It's a very delicate but directly sweet flavor to enjoy. I guess this fabric doesn't use any sticky and strange ingredients either... the distribution is brilliant"

Jan is right, there is no special finishing on the fabric. Poitan flour, caron milk, kimmus eggs and sugar were cooked together and baked in milk fat, which would be the royal road throughout the royal road. I'm assuming sales in stalls, so I'm focusing on simplification anyway.

"This time, what I want to tell the innkeepers is the fruit of this brake. We talked about not selling a lot of braised fruit in Inn Town..."

"Yes, I heard that Lord Tour-Din's hands-on value, Gigi leaves, etc. is quite a sell, but I also haven't really studied the bre's fruit very well"

Thus Jan mouthed the crepe of the bre's fruit.

"I see..." he snaps low, chewing it.

"I like the unique flavour of the braised fruit and the sweetness of the sugar...... plus the texture that reminds me of these tau beans. It seems to have a completely different flavour than the confectionery I just had."

"Yes, I think using a Kimmus egg shell on the dough will give you a different harmony again...... I wonder if even regular dough can make use of the flavor of the brew fruit. It's not that hard to handle compared to Kasuta-kuri-ya-ya-ku... isn't there any inconvenience in selling it in a stall or cafeteria?

Tour-din was spinning his words hard. In return, Jan is smiling gently again.

"It's a brilliant arrangement. After all, you are only young, and the improvement of Lord Tour-Din has something to keep an eye on. It looks like you've been polished since you started selling stalls."

"Yes, no, not at all"

Tour-din turns bright red and gets annoyed.

Jan smiled softly, speaking to the maids who had withheld behind her nagging.

"Come on, let us taste you too. You'll have to chew on the happiness of being here."

We were ready for Shayla and Nicolas, of course. I plan to make only the dough and ingredients for use in production and finish them just before eating them.

Shayla smiles and Nicolas takes up a crepe for taste on the top of the Buddha.

"Oh, that's a great taste. Because it is simple, the stunning arrangement of Dear Tour-Din seems remarkable"

Tour-din becomes so warm when he is given the name "Dear," etc. But it was also as long as it smiled.

"How's Nicola? If you had a taste, it would be polite to share your thoughts."

"... I think it's very tasty. Decorate it more luxuriously and your lady's sweets will be worthy of it."

In all likelihood, that was a very encouraging sentiment for Tour-Din, who would come to the Tea Party two days later. She can't even beat Zwei-Rutim for lack of love, but her tongue seems fat.

"It just seems undeniable, after all, that it's just simplicity. Will the combination of these four species also break the flavor?

"Yes. I think a simple flavor would be more pleasing in the Inn Town than a complex one…"

"Really? This yellow one and the black one seem delicious to eat at the same time... but maybe the strong sweetness will bump into you"

That's all I said, Nicola pulled back in.

Tour-din thinks with a serious face.

"Again, is it just simplicity? I also had the idea of making two or more combinations by order..."

"No. In Accommodation Town, it would be preferable to be this simple. Shouldn't we think of further ideas if the people of Innkeeper Town get used to something sweeter?"

With the enlightenment activities of Jan and Tour-Din, the presence of sweet confectionery is penetrating even in the boarding town. But only Tour-Din sells it in the stalls, and it should still have been dawn.

"Besides, is Lord Tour-Din going to tell the innkeepers about his moves? To be more creative, you will also need something called skill and knowledge on the part of making it. The simpler it is at first, the easier it will be for the owners of the inn to accept."

Following such discussions, the confectionery preparation and tasting sessions were concluded.

Jan asks me as I turn my foot outside the cook.

"Sounds like you still have time for a stopover. What are you going to do now, Lord Asta?

"I think I'll wrap up the details of today's meeting in case of a stopover. We just heard the story before noon, and there's a part of it that's not organized."

"Really? See you soon."

We asked Tapas for a favor and rented a corner of the dining room. The start of the rendezvous was five moments down, so there's still plenty of time left.

First, we get a good idea of what taxation is all about ourselves. Me and Zwei-Rutim weren't handicapped, but it was still too unfamiliar a project for Raina-Rou and Tour-Din.

"You mean you pay 10% of the rest of the copper coins as taxes, minus the copper coins you put on for ingredients, places, etc., from the copper coins you get from the street commerce, right? It's easy to say by mouth, but I don't serve the same dish every day, so I'm still going to have a hard time calculating it"

"Yeah. Tool-din, are you okay? If you're in trouble, I can always help you."

"Oh, thank you. Fou said we could use your help... so we'd like to encourage you to do it right on your own first."

The women of Fou and Run are trained by Zwei-Rutim in the sale of raw meat, so they are able to master their computational abilities. At Din's house, someone else, not Tour-Din, appeared to be in charge of accounting to challenge him to draw up the books.

"The books will be submitted to Castle Town every month. I started bookkeeping on the 15th of this month and the first submission date is the 15th of next month. Easter times will increase the amount of dishes to prepare, and there will be a lot of variations, but be careful not to make mistakes"

"Mis?"

"Oh, you mean failure. In the beginning, double check Fa, Luu and Din's books with me and Zwei-Rutim... no, no, I guess we should double check."

Hi. When it comes to this kind of talk, I keep up with a lot of foreign languages, too. Is that all the people by the woods are touching modern culture?

(If there was a Fermes in a place like this, it would be hard to be careful. Um, I need you to refrain from looking at me with a sneaky eye)

When I thought of it that way, Tapas ran over looking strangely mundane.

"A, Asta, we have guests from Castle Town"

"Guests from Castle Town?

I haven't heard anything like that. When I saw the entrance to the dining room, I accidentally shrugged myself.

"We arrived a long time early, but Asta and the others were already there,"

It enveloped a luxurious body with a traveling coat, it was nothing short of Fermes. Gemd, the shadowy squire, follows suit perfectly in the same outfit.

"Duh, what's wrong, Fermes? Something sudden...?

"No, Astas, I heard that the people from the woods were going to attend the inn, so I came to inspect it."

Fermes smiled gracefully as he pulled the collar roll that was hiding from his nose down to his throat.

"As a diplomat seconded to grasp the facts of Genos, I wonder if it is an extremely natural duty… is it also inconvenient?

"Yes, no, we're sticky, but..."

I had no choice but to keep my suspicions straight to Tapas, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce.

Tapas looks perplexed by the mumps and has lowered his brow butt.

"Ha, it is an honor not to mention the presence of your people... but is it worth the inspection, such as the stopover in the Inn Town?

"Of course it is. You know that in the Wang capital, the reality of the people by the forest, including Asta, has been largely eliminated, right? I am in a position to know exactly how Asta and his people are bonding with Genos."

"Oh, is it Master Left..."

I wonder which Michi Wangdu nobleman's offer is not in Tapas. Tapas looked like he was sighing and killing, overlapping words.

"Now on the stopover, let me make you a seat. How about a meal?

"You don't even need to eat. I can't eat the flesh of a beast."

Thereafter, Fermes looked all around him.

"Oh... aren't the hunters by the woods accompanied today?

"Yes. Lately, I've had them come by sundown. Until then, it won't be dangerous."

"Really?" he smiled, then Fermes poured his mouth to my ear.

"Then again, you're going to be molested by I-Fa. Of course, there's no such thing as a ruse on my side, so don't worry."

I had no choice but to say "ha".

Fermes, awake, looks around at the women on the spot with a sinless smile.

"Now, please continue the meeting regardless of me. Raina-Lou, Tour-Din...... and Zwei-Rutim"

and so Fermes narrowed his eyes pleasantly. Zwei-Rutim looks back at Fermes' beauty without any interest.

"... the three Astas will be present because they are the heads of the street commerce, right? What role does Zwei-Rutim have?

"Zwei-Rutim is good at calculating, so I hope to accompany him on these occasions"

Not in person, Rayna-Lew was answering that way with a well-behaved smile.

"Really," Fermes smiles even more loosely.

"That's a difficult thing to do. Actually, I don't like calculations either."

As Fermes flinched, he lowered his hips to a seat about two apart. It is a truly exquisite sense of distance as to whether or not this conversation can be overheard.

Then Rayna-Lew erased her smile and whispered to me.

"I told you that I couldn't be more alert because he was obsessed with Asta, right?

"Yeah, well, yeah."

"... I also think I know how I feel about Ai-Fa. I don't like the way he looks at Asta."

When I pulled myself back in surprise, Rayna-Lew was childish and had a grumpy face.

(... Hi Fermes, sounds like you tend to get smoked by some women)

Whatever it is, it doesn't matter now that Fermes is here. As representatives of the people of the woods, we come to the inn.

We decided to resume the strike so we could get to the bottom of it.
