Grace's Recap 7 - Reasons to Worry

I had heard beforehand that it would be evening for the servants to return.

Until then, Sakura stayed in the room as usual, and I did my job as usual.

In the evening, it was a member of the secret service who knocked on the door of the office.

"Yahoo, Captain V"

"Lett. You're back first"

It is Lett Spinner who has spoken out at ease.

Black tea hair with reddish brown eyes hidden in the longer forehead. He is a young man with a short, child-face and an impression that cannot be overestimated.

Excellence, though, is well known because we have been working together for several years. He uses his impressions to get into people's minds. No, even that impression was made.

Even so, covert units are practically close to military liaison roles. In it, Lett is really using information as a weapon.

This time he was evacuating with his servants. I have combat skills, but I know the townspeople, so I asked them to bridge with my servants.

The truth is, though, there was also a surveillance implication that servants should not be bad for their townspeople.

"Yeah. Well, we'll all be at the fort in a few minutes. I thought I'd let you know."

"Will no one change"

"No. If you say so, I've been fortifying you for such a long time, so much so that I've been talking about how hard it would be to clean. Everybody's fine, and no one wants to go back."

I take a deep breath of relief at Lett's report.

Many servants are accustomed to the existence of demons, but some say this is the first time they have experienced evacuation.

Though protected by the junction, there were concerns that some might feel demons nearby and be afraid to return to the fort.

If you're worried, that's fine. Looking for new workers is a big deal in these despicable forts around here.

"Right. Thank you very much."

Lett replies, "No, no."

Then suddenly he changed his expression to a niggling and unpleasant smile.

"More than that, Mr. Fifth Captain? You said you were hiding something funny?

I knew it couldn't be unknown.

Anyway, Milt knew about it on the first day, so it's not strange to know that even the covert troops were in this fort.

The covert unit is both a liaison and a watchdog. I keep an eye on the bare behavior of the crew. That, of course, even if it's the captain.

Lett looks somewhere like Milt. Is that why you two are so close?

The difference is that Lett has no offense or other intentions and is often purely intrigued. And because of his appearance like a boy, it means he's not very easy to get in the way. They're extra bad in a way.

"... although it's not funny"

"Ju-bun, it's funny. You're a girl, aren't you cute?

"The way you see it will depend on the person"

Cute or not, it would be cute.

Though I thought so, I kept it out of my mouth. Because I knew it would be a hassle.

"I'm asking the captain if he liked me."

"I haven't seen it that way. She's a guest of the Spirit."

Yes, Sakura is a guest of the Spirit. Any existence that is protected by the State.

I'm not a good person to think about whether I like it or not.

Because we're done spending time in the room together.

From now on, we need to take a moderate distance and deal with it.

"Hmm, that was as good as ever. I hear you're the fifth captain."

Lett grins slightly about what's funny.

Even though the face is made entirely differently, its expression looks just like a milt.

I'll keep that for you. But on the face I'm going to say, I want to sigh.

"Well, I should probably get some sleep. I have to go to Wangdu again. I took over, so if anything happens while you're gone, say hello to me."

"Okay. Get some rest."

Lett's original job is to liaise with Wang Du.

Whether you have a secret route or use special magic, the covert forces are characterised by fast travel.

Lett shrinks his time even further among them, traveling a distance that takes five days to fly a horse to the Wang capital in half that time.

Even nights that are not generally suitable for travel, the covert forces say, do not slow down.

If you're going to sleep and leave the fort this evening, it will be on the King's Capital around noon the day after tomorrow.

Lifestyle. I didn't say anything because it is now.

Until he left the room, Lett never broke his unpleasant grin.

The servants are told that they have returned by the head of the user who came to greet them.

I briefly informed him of the presence of a guest of the Spirit and finished the story by telling Milt to ask him for more information.

Instead of myself, who was busy working, Milt bought a role to associate the head of use with Sakura. As a matter of fact, he's supposed to be busy too, but I'm just saying I have worse procedures.

I also told Sakura what I asked Milt to do during the lunch break, so there shouldn't be anything out there.

I wonder if I am seeing the head of the user and face to face at the moment, which makes me feel strangely restless.

Then a while later, Milt came to report. At the end of the additional paperwork, though.

"There doesn't seem to be a problem. I think I liked her head."

With a dust and seemingly harmless grin, Milt said.

The user head is a serious man. I thought sometimes it might not go against Sakura, but he managed.

"Mostly, if it's her personality, you don't have to worry about it. She's quite different, but she's sociable."

"Indeed."

I knew I was dealing with her, too.

Keep smiling and talking well. That doesn't mean you don't listen to people.

Though I joke frequently, that's not malicious, it's like soothing the ground.

If you can even keep up with that light nori, you'll get along with everyone.

"Mostly enough to laugh and talk to the captain. So don't you think that's just amazing?

I chuckled, and now I smiled, which I could see was malicious.

How come there's so many guys around me who enjoy making fun of people?

"Is that demeaning me?

"Maasa. I'm just saying I'm scared of the captain's face."

Milt denies it. Keep your face laughing.

It's undeniable, but I'm also tired of going all the way in.

I was aware that I was afraid of my face, so I decided I had no choice.

The sigh I followed became more painful than I thought.

About three days passed since Sakura disappeared from the room and her original routine returned.

I don't have a smile to welcome me back to my room. No one to have dinner with. I felt an even bigger bed from the beginning.

Lonely, that would be different. It's not that sentimental. Say no.

She's in the same fort, even if she's not in the room in the first place. Sometimes I see you working.

Sakura was laughing when she saw him, not particularly different, and he looked fine.

I just went back to my original life. Though an eyeless being, a guest of the Spirit, works in a fort.

At work, during meals, when I come back to my room or when I sleep at night. And I remember her because she's a guest of the Spirit.

That's just it. And I told myself,

I was turning reflexively when I was mistaken for a red-haired servant.

But she's a woman who's been with Sakura a lot.

I have also received a report from Milt. His first name is….

"Gannett."

"Yes? Can I help you?"

She looked right back and asked.

You look strange, naturally. I've spoken to my brother, but this is the first time I've spoken to her.

I didn't know what to say because I accidentally spoke up.

Nothing, shall we finish the conversation?

I thought of it that way, but although it was far from smooth, I was uttering words when I realized it.

"... how's Sakura?"

I really care about Sakura.

That's because she's a guest of the Spirit. Should be.

So it shouldn't be weird to ask the people around you this way, as chief officer of this fort.

"What do you mean?

"It's work, or something else. Are you doing well?

To add the words, Gannett loosened his suspicious look.

"I'm learning more and more about my job. There are some failures, but at first, everyone is like that."

You remember Sakura, Gannett spilled a grin.

As for just getting to work, it wouldn't be a bad rating.

They're cracking it down well with the people in the same room.

"Because that kid, he's a cancer dealer. They adore me around them."

Surrounded by older, yet fearless innocence, Sakura blends into the surroundings comes to my attention.

Milt was right, there seemed to be nothing to worry about.

She agrees with everything, but she has even been comfortable with me, who is easily frightened by people. I knew I was good with people.

Nothing ever bothered me.

"Well, I'm sorry I stopped you."

"You don't have to worry about it. You're surprisingly overprotective."

"... not like that"

tickled, Gannett laughed.

I didn't mean to be overprotective as far as I'm concerned, but it's a bad decision.

I was wondering myself.

How can you be so worried when there shouldn't be anything to worry about?

"Now if you'll excuse me,"

That's what I'm saying. Gannett leaves.

I still have work to do, too. Proceed with your legs to return to the office.

The girl I've only seen the last few days.

I remember it over and over again because I'm worried about her.

So, what makes you worry?

I answer in my heart that Sakura is a guest of the Spirit.

I also didn't think that would explain it, but I tried not to think in depth.
