Chapter 483: The Memories of Adam and Eva!!! [Part 3]
The Memories of Adam and Eva!!! [Part 3]
Victor woke up suddenly.
His eyes snapped open.
Sweat covered his forehead.
His breathing was uneven, and his body shook faintly as though the pain from the dream had followed him into reality.
For several seconds, he simply stared at the ceiling of the cave.
His chest rose and fell rapidly.
That pain...
đŻđťđđđđŽđđˇđđżđđ.đđ¸đ˘
It had felt real.
Too real.
Victor slowly raised one hand and touched his chest.
His heart was beating hard.
Beside him, Diana had been sleeping while holding him in her arms.
She immediately noticed that his breathing had changed.
Her red eyes opened in panic.
"Victor, are you alright?"
Victor turned toward her.
For a moment, he didnât answer.
Then he slowly exhaled.
"Yeah, just having a bad dream."
Diana continued watching him carefully.
She could tell he wasnât telling her everything.
But she didnât press him.
Victorâs golden eyes drifted toward the darkness of the cave.
Adam.
Eva.
That final battle.
That strange feeling of having lived through someone elseâs final moments.
He needed answers.
For the first time, Victor decided that perhaps he should ask about his past incarnations.
If Adam truly had been one of them, then perhaps there was a reason these memories were appearing before him.
As Victor lost himself in thought, he suddenly heard a knock on the door.
Knock. Knock.
The quiet sound pulled him out of his thoughts.
Victor lifted his head and looked toward the entrance. His golden eyes narrowed slightly as he listened.
A familiar presence.
He didnât need to ask who it was.
Then came a soft voice from outside.
"Master?"
Victor immediately recognized it.
Evelyne.
He had only spent a short time with his disciple, but he was already familiar with her voice. There was a certain gentleness in it, especially when she addressed him.
Victor glanced down at himself.
He realized his breathing was still slightly uneven from the thoughts occupying his mind. A faint layer of sweat had formed across his forehead as well.
He took a slow breath.
Then another.
He calmly steadied his breathing until his chest rose and fell normally. Afterward, he reached for a cloth and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Diana, who had been nearby, noticed what he was doing.
Without saying anything, she helped him straighten himself before quietly settling back into place.
Victor gave her a brief glance.
Diana returned a small smile.
Everything was done naturally, without either of them needing to say much.
Victor then looked toward the door.
"Come in."
The door opened.
Evelyne appeared before him with another person.
Victorâs gaze immediately shifted toward the man standing beside her.
The first thing he noticed was the manâs expression.
Anger.
Pure and concentrated anger.
The middle-aged man looked as though he had been carrying an enormous amount of hatred inside himself for years. His face was tense, his jaw clenched, and his eyes were filled with a bloodlust so intense that an ordinary person might have collapsed simply from meeting his gaze.
Yet Victor didnât immediately react.
Instead, his golden eyes calmly examined the man.
Mana spread from his body.
It passed over the middle-aged man, carefully examining his strength.
A moment later, Victorâs brows furrowed.
The manâs mana was above average.
That much was true.
But it wasnât particularly impressive.
His strength wasnât anywhere near enough to frighten even a knight in training.
Victor withdrew his mana.
Something didnât make sense.
âThis is weird.â
He continued staring at the man.
âWhy am I feeling like something is wrong?â
The feeling wasnât coming from the manâs strength.
That was the strange part.
Victor had encountered countless powerful people before. He could recognize when someone possessed overwhelming strength, and he could usually determine the source of the pressure he felt from them.
But this was different.
The middle-aged manâs physical strength and mana didnât justify the sensation spreading through Victorâs body.
Something deeper was happening.
Victor felt as though his very soul had been shaken.
His expression became slightly more serious.
Could it be connected to his past incarnations?
Ever since those strange dreams had begun appearing, Victor had gradually realized that there were things within himself he didnât completely understand.
Memories that werenât truly his.
Lives that he had apparently lived before.
People he had once been.
And emotions that sometimes surfaced without warning.
Even now, something about this middle-aged man seemed to trigger a reaction from those forgotten parts of himself.
Yet none of them seemed to know exactly what was wrong.
That made the situation even stranger.
Was the manâs rage so powerful that it could affect someone like Victor?
Victorâs eyes narrowed.
He quietly examined the man again.
Nothing.
There was no obvious source.
No hidden cultivation technique.
No overwhelming mana.
Nothing that should have caused this strange sensation.
Victor slowly turned his head toward Diana.
She remained calm.
Her red eyes showed no sign of concern.
There was no fear in her expression.
No hesitation.
Nothing suggesting that she sensed the same danger Victor was feeling.
Victorâs gaze then shifted toward Evelyne.
She was equally composed.
That made the situation even more confusing.
If something truly dangerous was hidden within the man, Diana and Evelyne should have reacted in some way.
But neither did.
Victor remained silent for several moments.
The middle-aged man continued glaring at him.
His bloodlust filled the room with an unpleasant tension.
It was almost tangible.
Yet Victor couldnât determine why.
The man himself seemed completely ordinary from the perspective of strength.
Evelyne finally broke the silence.
"Master, this is the man who had hired that assassin."
Her voice was calm, but there was a faint seriousness beneath it.
Victorâs attention returned to her.
Evelyne continued.
"Heâs another one of my uncles, Fean Elmhart."
Victorâs eyes moved back toward the middle-aged man.
Fean Elmhart.
So this was the person responsible for hiring the assassin.
Victorâs expression remained neutral.
He had already expected that someone connected to the Elmhart family was behind the incident.
Now the culprit had finally been brought before him.
