Chapter 2559: Which Good Guy Knelt and Apologized
Shi Potian originally thought saying this would threaten the other party, but unexpectedly, the person opposite just gave a cold smile, "Then stand up!"
As soon as the words fell, Shi Potian’s legs snapped straight like being clamped, and he stood up. The suppressing force on the other players who were forced to sit down instantly disappeared. A player put down the water cup he had been holding, "Having guests leave."
The next second, Shi Potian was hit with great force and flown out of the compartment, landing in the transition compartment behind.
The player who chased him naturally followed him out. When the Long Blade swung down, a faint golden Defensive Barrier appeared on Shi Potian’s body. With a "bang," the Long Blade collided with the barrier, and unexpectedly broke into two pieces!
The player holding the blade’s expression changed. Looking at Shi Potian squatting on the ground with a cowardly look, he got even more annoyed, convinced it was just Shi Potian pretending to be weak. The person quickly bypassed him and returned to his compartment, throwing out a line from afar: "I’ll let you go this time!"
Shi Potian put down his hands which were protecting his head, looked up, and asked, "He left?"
Sister Zhong called for him to get up, "He’s also one who bullies the weak and fears the strong. He’s already passed through two compartments by now."
Shi Potian breathed a sigh of relief, wiped the non-existent sweat, and said, "These people are too violent, they want to fight without saying a couple of right sentences. Can’t everyone sit down and communicate properly? What’s so hard to say..."
He didn’t finish his sentence before seeing Sister Zhong’s face change, and he quickly shut his mouth.
"If you’re not welcomed, cause less trouble." The others in the compartment obviously weren’t pleased with him either.
Shi Potian could adapt to situations, promptly apologized, and did it just right.
"Sister, you look so much like my girlfriend from two times ago, we were supposed to get married, but unfortunately when I returned from the instance, she had already fallen ill and died." A meticulously dressed man sat opposite the Girl in the painting, resting his chin on one hand, smiling as he looked at her, "She was my fifth girlfriend whom I wanted to marry, but alas beauty has a short life. Seeing you today, it’s like looking at our sweet past memories."
"I miss her so much that afterward, I couldn’t help but stop for any woman who slightly resembled her. Among so many people, you’re the one who looks like her. I wonder if I have the honor of knowing your name?"
The Girl in the painting finally raised her head, lifted her Communicator: "No."
The man’s desire to perform was strong, clutching his chest, saying, "Such direct refusal... you really are like her! You make my heart flutter more and more."
"Ugh!" A female player at the next table made a retching sound.
The man’s expression changed, turning his head, "If you’re pregnant, go to the restroom and puke."
The female player wiped her mouth, "For some reason, the compartment seems filled with the smell of oil."
She tilted her head, smiling at the man, "Seeing a woman retch immediately makes you think she’s pregnant, you do have experience, have you been pregnant yourself?"
"I know some men in certain districts can get pregnant too, with your strong reproductive desire, you would certainly be popular there."
The man changed from his previous carefree manner to a cold look for two seconds, then his gaze moved to the other’s abdomen, "There aren’t many women who get pregnant in the game."
The female player caressed her stomach, "Then let you see."
Neither side yielded, and the atmosphere in the compartment grew tense again, seemingly about to break into a fight, when suddenly a "Level failed" alert sounded.
Hearing this sound, several players in the compartment instinctively shot upright, but the sound had nothing to do with completing an instance, it came from the Girl in the painting’s Communicator.
She had failed the level again, angrily pounding the Communicator, then leaned over to Xu Huo, asking him to help her pass the level.
"Play by yourself." Xu Huo stood up, intending to go to the room in the corner of the compartment to rest. The Girl in the painting was unwilling, grabbing his arm and refusing to let go, showing that she wouldn’t release him unless he helped.
"Sister, let me play for you." The playboy reached out to take the Girl in the painting’s Communicator, but she slapped his hand away with quick reflexes.
The playboy wasn’t bothered, indulgingly sniffed his hand beneath his nose.
The Girl in the painting squinted, and in the next second, all the paper toys from her backpack flew out, like sharp arrows shooting at the opposite person.
With a light body, the playboy floated backward, smiling, "Sister is quite fiery..."
Before he finished his sentence, a light "apology" came from the front, this person didn’t know what happened, but suddenly bent his knee and knelt down, forehead hitting the ground, shouting, "I’m sorry!"
The compartment was very quiet, not only the playboy himself but also the players watching, even Xu Huo was surprised, the prop’s effect was excessively good, but did apologies require kneeling?
Whether others had to kneel to apologize wasn’t known, but the playboy did kneel; when his head hit the floor, he suddenly regained clarity, for a moment not knowing whether to vent his anger by killing or find a crack to crawl into. After a moment, he stood up, staring at Xu Huo with eyes that seemed ready to devour.
"What’s up?" Xu Huo raised an eyebrow, "Want to apologize again?"
"You’re ruthless!" The playboy opened the door to the front compartment and left.
"Brother, your characteristic really attracts hatred." Shi Potian couldn’t help but say, "He’s an advanced player, let alone making him kneel publicly, even getting him to sit down is a loss of face, you should be careful, he will surely revenge."
"I just made him apologize, who knew he’d kneel." Xu Huo said calmly, "Maybe it’s different customs across regions."
"I’ll kill him." The Girl in the painting had already collected her paper toys back.
"Next time." Xu Huo said, "If he comes back to cause trouble, kill him."
He finished speaking, turned, entered the room, and closed the door, isolating all probing eyes.
After layering in several protections, Xu Huo finally used the characteristic "Home Field View".
Lines of text began to appear on the paper.
The earlier part of the journey about the Cat Whisker Fruit doesn’t have much to say, basically just what happened, changes only started from the United Capital.
"...Saying he doesn’t want it, but perhaps deep down he does, otherwise why would Xu Huo easily enter the District Government, maybe like all greedy people, he wants to take good things for himself..."
...
"...The props in the instance aren’t so easy to deal with, especially many spaces can’t use tickets here, which might be the special nature of the Super Dungeon itself, or it could be the space where the dungeon venue resides has a unique nature... In short, when Xu Huo crossed spaces several times with the people from District 001, there were one or two times he entered spaces completely different from the Metal Forest and metal city before, they don’t seem part of the Super Dungeon venue..."
...
"The chaotic space-time power might record the whole crime scene, Xu Huo is aware of this, but he still harbors a fluke."
"Harboring a fluke won’t bring good luck, it might even lead to an early fancy death."
