King of Hollywood

Chapter X Settlement

“... black tea?” Half an hour later, Catherine finally spit out a word again, staring at Adrian's coffee maker with a stunning look on her face as if she didn't know what the word meant.

Adrian was helpless and raised his hand, pouring the black tea in the pot into the cup in his hand and lifting it up: "Black tea. ”

When he had finished delivering the cup to his mouth, he had to take a sip. At this point, he suddenly realized what he had noticed. He watched carefully and smelled it with his nose. He threw the cup out vigorously.

“Damn it! Holy shit!” Adrian screamed for the liquid that had escaped from the cup when it had landed, and the coffee pot in his hand followed his motion for a moment, sounding like “black tea” was spilling out of it.

Adrian threw the coffee maker out without thinking about it, and continued to yell angrily at the liquid that was spilling out of the coffee maker, which was so lame and weird.

Catherine stared at what was happening in front of her, and as soon as she understood it, she burst out laughing.

“What's so funny?!” Adrian glanced at her with her clothes on tape, not expecting Catherine to laugh louder, and finally climbed onto the wall completely laughing, as if she hadn't been so happy in a while.

Adrian Yang wanted to say something, but eventually he could only look at her with an angry look on his hands and waist.

“I'm sorry... I'm just...” Catherine took control of her emotions so easily, she couldn't help but laugh again after a glance at Adrian. If only she had cried and her eyes were red, it seemed really weird.

“Okay, okay, I'm good.” Catherine finally restrained herself when she saw Adrian's face turn cold.

Adrian then looked at Catherine and looked at the coffee pot and cup on the ground. There was a feeling of depression in her heart, and she actually took the wrong coffee pot along the way! That's so... damn!

He stopped talking with his lips shut, he didn't speak, Catherine didn't speak, the room was silenced, the two eyes stared at each other, a strange atmosphere spread.

It was a long time before Adrian coughed softly: "Well, let's call it even - this time seriously. ”

Catherine skewed her head and looked at him for a long time: "Okay, that's even. ”

I wonder if she remembers Adrian's old wolf, her eyes bent again and she reached over and covered her mouth. Of course, taking care of Adrian's mood, she slipped slightly over her head, so forgive me, the fingers still leaked a few smiles from time to time.

Adrian wasn't angry, he just stared at the girl's face. Katherine looks like she has a special flavor at the moment, her five officers are sophisticated, eye-catching, blend of Western and Oriental characteristics, should be a hybrid, if not for the movie to make her look dirty, she would be a beautiful and temperamental girl with a little makeup. The light transmitted through the window, though not bright, covered her face, revealed a beauty with greenery.

“What are you looking at?” Catherine noticed Adrian's gaze and her face was reddish.

“You're beautiful, Miss Bezinsa.” Adrian did not hide his views.

“Well... thank you.” Catherine stretched her hand and scratched her face, which seemed a little embarrassing.

“I'm serious,” Adrian looked at her and continued, "if you put on some light makeup and get dressed up a little bit, you're going to fall for a lot of people. ”

“Hey, I said, aren't you trying to hit on me?” Catherine suddenly forked her hands on her waist and looked at him against her head.

Adrian didn't speak, held her arms and stared at her for a few minutes, until Catherine shrugged after showing her discontent: “Well, we should go back, the break is over, and the shooting continues. ”

He walked right to the door, and Catherine was somewhat unsurprising, but followed.

That's her. I want her! After walking out of the room, Adrian glanced at the shadow behind her and said so to herself in her heart.

The shooting of "Two Big Smoke Guns" came to a close soon, and Adrian was right to leave those pieces of footage in the room for the final shooting, and there were already some acquaintances on it that basically wouldn't go wrong, so it's no different than at other times. Of course, there have been changes, such as Mr. Director's attitude towards the girl who acted as a temporary actor. But nobody's asking why. It's none of your business, isn't it?

“Do you know why I want you to do this?” After she stopped, Adrian walked up to Catherine, and at this moment she was still fluffing her hair and wearing a floral bohemian dress, but she had an extra or a machine gun!

“Well… you want… to form a contrast.” Catherine thought about it and answered.

“Yes, the girl, who has always been skinny and deliriously easy to ignore, suddenly stood up and lifted the machine gun for a quick shot, and this strong contrast was both shocking and very pleasing," Adrian said patiently, "I'm going to deal with this in a slow lens at a later stage, and you won't like to see yourself hesitate? ”

“Oh, sure.” Catherine said quickly, "I see what you mean, and I promise the same problem won't happen again. ”

“Well, anyway, you don't have to think about it so much, just pull the trigger with a machine gun like a vent.” Adrian nodded and turned around to say hello to continue filming.

An assistant walked over and said, "Mr. Adrian, a gentleman is looking for you. ”

“To me? ”

“Yes, he said he was...” The assistant looked around and whispered a few words.

Adrian nodded and changed his mind: "Rest now for 20 minutes. ”

After that, he followed his assistant to the outside of the crowd and quickly arrived at the director's lounge, where he reached out to the man who had already waited for one side: "Hello, Mr. Brandt. Nice to see you here. ”

“It's good to see you again, too, Mr. Adrian.” Bertrand, editor at Universal Films? Irwin smiled and shook his hand, "Frankly, you're not easy to find here. Why not shoot in London? ”

“The story took place in East London, and I think you may know that the security situation there has always been poor.” Adrian explained briefly. In fact, this is not the main reason, the main reason is that the suburbs are less expensive! From this point of view, Adrian has strained his mind to keep the cost within $200,000.

Of course, it's impossible to say that, so after a few words such as "just outside London anyway” and "also counts as a story that happened in London”, the two of them sat down at the table and talked about business.

“So, how'd you guys think?” Adrian picked up the coffee pot and poured a cup of coffee for himself and Brandt. He thought of something and glanced at it from afar. Catherine in the crowd also glanced at him, and when she saw him like this, she gave him a white-eye.

Adrian smiled softly and passed the cup to Bertrand.

“On second thought, the price of half a million for both screenplays is acceptable, but at the same time we hope that Mr. Adrian will guarantee the creation of a sequel.” Brandt opened his briefcase and took out Grasshopper.

“Have you thought about the sequel so soon?” Adrian was somewhat surprised when he flipped the contract.

“We all believe that this is the right decision.” Bertrand shrugged.

“Perhaps…” Adrian answered with a slight frown, generally according to Hollywood rules, deciding whether to shoot a movie without a sequel will wait at least the first week after the show before the box office comes out to discuss it. After all, making a movie is sometimes like gambling, if it's a loss, it will only be revealed at the last minute, and it doesn't make sense for you to lapse.

He obviously forgot how surprising his approach was, that filmmaking was as true as gambling, but once the script was available, the producers of the movie companies would first make an assessment based on the content of the story, and it would be clear what might be lost, what might be made, and what might be made. Though not 100 per cent correct, it is also in the range of 70 to 80 per cent, otherwise it would have cost Hollywood hundreds of films a year - not including those independent films - a clean loss.

Now, a young man comes up with four screenplays at the same time, and based on an assessment of the likelihood that they will all make money, especially the Bodyguard that falls into Warner's hands, let alone two better screenplays.

Needless to say, while the vulgar comedy that belongs to that kind of shitty piss is incredibly real, this is definitely a very happy movie for teenagers in the United States who have the same experience; and Scream, which discusses horror movies in horror movies, and the idea of talking about the laws of survival is very delicate, but at the same time, it also points down the impact of horror movies on teenagers, with a good chance of winning both the box office and the reputation.

So, no movie company would despise Adrian for coming up with these six scripts, which is one of Hollywood's rules - pragmatism.

As long as you show value, as long as you bring benefits to them, they will appreciate that you pull together and you will please you. Of course, once you lose your value, you'll be kicked off by a foot they won't hesitate to kick.

Adrian didn't think of that for the moment, but sooner or later he would understand that his goal was Hollywood as a whole. Now, he sees another problem in the grass book.

“The sequel script has the right of first refusal and the price remains unchanged, after deciding to make it, take it out for a limited time…” Adrian put the grasshopper on the table, smiling at Brandt, "This deal is not a very good deal, Mr. Brandt! ”
