Chapter 12: Sudden Spirituality

“Virtual... virtual world?” Catherine is obviously more confused.

“If you read William? Gibson's" The Nervous Wanderer, "you know how close the virtual world is to us, and this novel pioneered the science fiction of cyberpunks.” Adrian continued.

Katherine's mouth twitched and looked like she was laughing: “Sounds... like... deep. ”

“It doesn't matter, first contact with these concepts can be confusing, and it's not surprising to read more of these novels.” Adrian waved, "you don't have to worry about that. Just tell me how you feel about this story. ”

“Just from a story's point of view...” Kathryn leaned over her head and thought, "It looks cute to hold her mouth," because both stories are fragments and have not yet been fully developed, so she cannot comment on them in their entirety. If it's just a clip, I think that story about a zombie is more appealing in terms of description, like... ”

She reached over and flipped the manuscript, then read: "Jill rolled over, avoiding the fluttering teeth, and countless workouts made her reflexed foot kick on the other's mandible. The mutilated corpse dog burst right after falling to the ground, roaring and pounding again.

Jill's gun went off and she finally picked up her pistol and instantly aimed and pulled the trigger. After repeated gunshots, the disgusting zombie dog finally fell to the ground and stopped moving, without waiting for her to relieve herself, shouting and several more zombie dogs broke through the glass and jumped into the corridor. Surprised Jill quickly turned around and ran to the hallway door. After closing the door heavily, she leaned on the door and gasped. Until then, she found her palm and vest wet. ”

Katherine reads this and then looks up to Adrian: "Your portrayal is so picturesque that the zombie story clips with the big action are more appealing than the... virtual world story clips. I guess this feature has nothing to do with your work as a director. ”

“I have to say, you're smart, Miss Bezinsa,” Adrian applauded clapping, "and I'm surprised to have my own opinion on the novel. ”

“When I went to ‘Gordon Fenn and Wrightmel' girls' school, I was awarded the W.H. Smith Writing Competition twice, the first three short essays and the second three poems.” Catherine's tone seemed careless, but her cheeks still betrayed her inner world, and Adrian shook her head with a dumb smile.

And Catherine probably realized she was a little overwhelmed, and she couldn't help but cough up embarrassingly: "Of course, people like you can't compare to random storytellers -- frankly, aren't you afraid to cause confusion? Write two books at the same time. ”

“I don't know how to say this...” Adrian thought about it, "You said it was possible, but it wasn't serious. I just wrote some clips that were already conceived before the pen started. More importantly, when a few different concepts come back into your mind, you might come up with a lot of new and valuable ideas, like…”

He suddenly stopped talking and looked straight at Catherine and waited half a minute for her to say it before reacting. Some of her angry eyes turned white: “Like what? ”

“Wait!” Adrian shook her fingers, still staring closely at Catherine.

Katherine shrunk her neck and frowned, measuring Adrian with an unknown divine colour.

“Stand up,” Adrian made a gesture, "Stand up, turn around. ”

Catherine frowned deeper, but she was surprised not to be angry and stood up and circled in front of him. Adrianmo suddenly stood up with her chin in her arms and circled in the room, looking at Catherine and squeezing her eyebrows and muttering to herself, finally making a gesture to Catherine: "Okay? ”

Catherine sighed and swept her hair behind her head, squeezing a brazen ponytail with one hand.

“I can see you want to do it...” She looked at him and asked helplessly, but before she finished, Adrian interrupted her: “Laura! ”

“Laura? Sorry, I thought you should remember me...”

“Laura? Crawford! ”

“Mr. Corwell, if you do this again, please allow me...”

“Let me think, let me think, she should be a little masculine, somewhat wild, she should be an orphan, and then adopted by an archaeological professor who nurtured her to be... no, no, no, no, that way, those adventurous behaviors would look passive, and with Indiana? Jones is too similar... By the way, nobility, she should be an aristocrat, so that she can get a good education and have more time to explore, preferably an aristocratic family with an archaeological tradition...” Adrian turned to the circle and said hastily, as if she had fallen into her own world.

Catherine finally got a little impatient, and she took a deep breath and said out loud, "Mr. Cowell, can I leave now? ”

“Ah, Miss Bezinsa, I'm so sorry,” Adrian finally woke up, "I apologized for my rudeness, I just suddenly came up with an interesting idea. ”

“An interesting idea?” Catherine looked at him funny.

“Yes, the female Indiana? Jones." Adrian made a gesture, grabbed a blank sheet of paper and a pen, and explained it as he drew: “Laura? Crawford, the eleventh generation countess of the Crawford family. In 1547, Edward VI granted the Crawford family property and residency rights in the Abington area of Surrey County. Laura was a recognized genius to receive an aristocratic education as a child, and if she stayed that way, she might become an English lady, but a nine-year-old encounter changed everything. When she and her mother flew home, the plane crashed in the Himalayas and her mother died on the spot, while Laura, 9, spent 10 days walking from the ice snow to Kathmandu on her own... it seemed exaggerated, after all, that she was just a 9 year old little girl... but it also suited her genius title, and there was the lead halo...”

“Wait, wait!” Catherine interrupted Adrian's speech with all this in her ear, and she looked at him incredibly: “Did you come up with all this in a matter of minutes?! ”

“Well... sort of, there's a lot more to set up.” Adrian shrugged her shoulders and then put the paper in her hand to Catherine's. This is a set up drawing, and although there are no five officials, hands and feet are very brief, a few still outline the general image of a woman wearing a short sleeve t-shirt and hot pants and military boots with a backpack and a gun combed with a big braid, a fascinating trait that leaps onto paper.

Catherine looked at the image of the woman in the painting, wondering what was on her mind.

“Your five officers are too soft and sophisticated, and Laura needs a bit of wildness and indifference, which I have to say is unfortunate.” Adrian sighed.

“Have you seen the arrangements? If you don't mind, I'll take it to Mr. Haggis.” Catherine suddenly asked, placing the manuscript on the table as if it was worth mentioning.

“Of course, I have no other opinion.” Adrian didn't say much either, handing over that thin schedule.

“Thank you." Catherine said briefly, leaving the room in a hurry.

Adrian looked quietly at the door with his hands crossed and looked at it for a long time.

“Well done, Haggis.” He finally whispered.

It was all in his plan to get Haggis to find an excuse for Catherine to come into the room and talk about rapprochement - except for the idea of the last Tomb Shadow. It was Catherine who really reminded me of this.

At first, I wanted to write "The Biochemical Crisis" and "The Hacker Empire" as novels, out of a Japanese mind. Although Nervous Wanderer had long put forward the idea of a virtual world, and Silver Wing Killer had put forward a real definition in another way, most people still enjoyed the Shell Racer, after all, the two drivers admitted that the animation, which would appear only a few years away, had inspired them a lot.

Adrian is sure not to let go of this landmark film of The Hacker Empire - taking someone else's path, leaving no one else to walk, is his established strategy now - so simply write the novel version first, so that no one can be contacted by the Shell Squad. Anyway, in previous life, there was also a lot of analysis of the Hacker Empire script, a slight modification of the novel to write a trilogy is absolutely fine, as for Biochemical Crisis, that is an addition.

He wrote the novel clips while refining his plans, constantly revising and reflecting on them, and suddenly realized that writing "Biochemical Crisis" and "Hacker Empire" into a novel would help his plans a lot, so from Los Angeles to London, he always took the time to write some, complaining about the hotel lamp.

Now because of Catherine, Adrian came up with another subject that could be written into a novel, and the game Ancient Tomb Shadow, which would not appear until six years later, had to be described as lucky. And this sudden appearance of electricity not only had the same effect on his plans as the Biochemical Crisis and Hacker Empire, but also completely eased the relationship with Catherine, which was a win-win thing.

“This is just the beginning.” Adrian sat down in front of the typewriter again.

Catherine is attractive, but she can't eat hot tofu in a hurry, so take her time. As for my plan, it will only be on paper unless a big premise is resolved.

“Claude, don't let me down.” Adrian murmured the letter.
