King of Hollywood

Chapter 22 Disclosure

“Well, I'll leave you, Aunt Martha.” Adrian stood up politely in arrears.

“Really, you've only been here a day," Auntie sighed, but didn't say much. "Come back often sometime to see us, Ed, Victor, who hasn't been home much in years. ”

Victor, the only son of Anderson and Martha, was four years older than Adrian, started his own business after graduating from Yale University, and now has a medium-sized home in Boston, not far from New York, but little time to go home. As for the reason, it can be seen from the fact that he would rather take his mother to live in the past than return. With Anderson's antiquity and stubbornness, his relationship with his own brother is not so good, let alone his father and son.

“I will, Aunt, and I will see Victor when I have time.” Adrian so implied that while it was a family, there were some things that he could not change, let alone the key…

“I hope you're not like this the next time I see you.” Anderson stepped out of the inner room, still looking unpleasant, until his wife glared at him and slowed his breath: “Do well, Ed, identify your goal. ”

“Thank you, Uncle Anderson, I understand.” Adrian nodded and left his aunts and uncles' luxury apartment.

Aunt Martha is right, except that Uncle Anderson is used to having absolute authority at home, so even if it sounds good, it's still harsh. Stroll the streets of Manhattan, Adrian thinks so. He pulled his trench coat, again in September, and the temperature in New York was much lower than in Los Angeles.

For the time being, come back regularly to narrate your feelings, as for Victor... they rarely meet each other anyway, mention it, and ultimately they can solve it on their own. Adrian started wandering around Manhattan. Never even left New York in previous life, not to mention New York. Although I've been here before in this life, it has all become memories. Now it's interesting to walk around Times Square and Fifth Avenue while memorizing.

Unconsciously, Adrian came to the mouth of the Hudson River and looked at the distant Statue of Liberty, which made him feel like a dream. He has been busy since he woke up in February, although his life has been organized and so completely relaxed, it has hardly ever happened, presumably because he has just completed his first step.

Adrian shook his head slightly, remembering that there was a bench not far behind him, and he had to sit down a few steps back. Who knew the chair wasn't on his butt, and a single reprimand rang: "Hey! Who asked you to sit down. ”

The sound of the burst in surprised Adrian, turning his head and noticing that someone was already in the bench. It was a young girl, 15 or 6 years old, with a pink t-shirt and a light grey coat on the outside, a bright blonde hair, a fairly sophisticated five-official ratio, and a beautiful embryo.

“I'm sorry, can I sit here?” After sweeping the bags on the bench and some strange things, Adrian said. The girl in front of her wanted to say no, and he added, "I don't think you're going to use the whole chair? ”

After looking at him with a mixture of vigilance and disgust, the girl threw those things in the bag without saying a word. The motion seemed to be exhaling, and finally held the bag in her arms and moved it aside.

Adrian shook his head with a smile and did not speak again when he sat down, but sitting here watching the view of the Hudson River, though just right, was somewhat boring because of what had just happened. After a few minutes of such a break, Adrian decided to leave and looked at the girl on the other side before getting up and unconsciously stood still with him.

Beautiful girl looks distant with frustration, one hand grabbing her bag and the other gently rubbing it on her knees, as if something important had been lost.

“What's on your mind?” The Adrian ghost made the divine question worse.

The girl was slightly surprised and turned to gauge Adrian with a strange divine colour, followed by a disgusting tone of irony: “What does that have to do with you? ”

“Um... okay, sorry.” Adrian stalled, he was a little reckless, but he was about to get up and leave, and he heard the girl say, "What do people like you know? ”

This girl... Adrian frowned and turned her head again: “What do you think I don't know? Your pain, your frustration? God, does everyone have their own pain and frustration, but does everyone exasperate their grievances to those around them who are kind enough to remind them? Or are you persecuted, paranoid, and people who think you're talking to don't like you? ”

“You!” the girl's face rose red, perhaps because she had suppressed it for a long time, and suddenly she yelled, "Do you know how long I've been trying in this shithole?! You know how easy it is to see dawn but fall into the abyss by accident?! I've been practicing ballet since I was a kid, for years, I've been to Europe, I've been to Italy, I've been to New York so easy to get into that damn ballet club, and I've got a knee injury and I can't go on stage anymore! You know what!”

The excitement made the girl's eyelids red, and she immediately noticed it, twisting her head to the side with anger.

“Speak up? This will make you feel better.” Adrian laughed and waited a few seconds before saying, “Know what I looked like two years ago? ”

“Who cares what you looked like two years ago.” The girl missed a few gambling words.

Adrian laughed dumbly and sat there without talking. Half an hour later, the girl finally twisted her head back and looked at Adrian with a complicated look: "So, what were you like two years ago? ”

“Hmm...” Adrian thought, "It should be more or less the same to describe a no-action ghost all day long. ”

The girl frowned and did not speak, while Adrian's eyes turned to the distant Statue of Liberty: “I was hanging out all day, doing nothing, doing whatever I wanted. In fact, I've been doing this since high school, until I graduated from college, and my best friend started taking over his father's company, and I still do. My parents have told me many times, but I never heard them until two years ago… I could never hear them nagging again. ”

A long pause.

“I still keep hanging around, my parents have changed their will but left me some, it's just far more than before, I will never go home without a stinking drunk, whether it's the godfather or the dead party who persuaded me, I can't hear, I feel like a piece of crap, I should have been born that way, maybe one day I'll die mixing up... but... I don't know what happened, just today in February, I suddenly... I woke up, yes, suddenly I woke up, a lot of things were understood at that moment. I know I can do something, I know I'm definitely not a piece of crap, I'm looking for my buddy, I start planning step by step, I have my own goals, I've had my own company for just 7 months, although it's still small and weak, but I know I can definitely succeed! I know I will definitely be at the top of the world, staring down at those who have laughed at me, thinking I'm nothing but a loser! ”

Adrian unconsciously expanded her breasts after a long exhalation, a sense of freshness that spread from her chest. And then she looked at the girl, and she was looking at her with a corrugated eye, and half a mile later she said, "So are you. - Are you exhaling? ”

“Kind of.” Adrian shrugged, "I ask you, girl, can you do anything but dance ballet? ”

“Hmm...” the girl thought, “I've also... been a model for a few days, maybe I can still go to the theatre...”

“Oh, shit, why do you have to spin around those? Don't you have a choice?” Adrian waved, “Don't tell me anything that won't happen. I spent the last 20 years eating, drinking and having fun. I have no management experience, but I am still the owner of a small company, even if I need help. You can't go to school. Are you stupid? Don't you think you're smarter than everyone else? Come on, you can get your part by trying to practice ballet, so why can't you do the same in other areas? You can find a professional university, then you can be an assistant, a reporter, an analyst, and so on, and then step out of your own sky! What matters is if you dare, not if you dare! ”

Though he waved his hand hard and his powerful words stopped, he could already hear that the girl of God had also returned to God with a sharp shock. They stopped talking, Adrian stared at the long breath of the Hudson River, and the girl stared at him.

Half an hour later, the girl finally said, "Frankly, your speech was good. ”

“Thank you. You think me and Martin? What about Luther King's famous" I Have A Dream "? ”

“Much better than I Have a Dream. ”

“Really?”

“Really, because you have a dream. ”

The two looked at each other for a moment, and the girl first burst out laughing, laughing aloud with Adrian, leading the surrounding passers-by to the side.

“Thank you, sir, you're a good man.” The girl stood up and grew out of breath and said to Adrian with a slight blush, her eyes seemed sincere, "you will achieve your goal. ”

“You too.” Adrian nodded with a smile.

“Goodbye.” The girl waved and grabbed her back and jumped away.

It still looks lovely. Adrian looked at the back of a distant girl, and then he picked a frown. What did she say? Am I a good man? Why does that sound strange?

He shook his head and stuck it again, slapping him in the thigh: "Shit! I forgot to ask her name and phone number! ”
