King of Hollywood

Chapter 49: Everything Goes Well

The phrase "proportionally in my hands” is not just a statement, as evidenced by the fact that "Two Big Smoke Guns" and "Memory Shards" have proved well. Although the investment in "Shawshenk's Redemption" is huge, Adrian does not think it will hinder him, and the only bottleneck is the state of the actors.

“At this time, Red, I don't like Andy much, but I don't feel bad, so the tone and expression should belong to the official kind, you know, Morgan?” Adrian for Morgan? Freeman talks about the play, sometimes accompanied by slightly exaggerated physical movements, which is how he moves the actors' emotions.

“Like a store manager hosting a guest who doesn't qualify for the store?” Freeman hasn't spoken yet, and the black youth around him asked first.

“Alfonso is right, you can think in this regard, but not too much, which you need to grasp.” Adrian said he put a thumb up against the black youth, and the other smiled and raised his hand back.

He's Freeman's youngest son, Alfonso? Freeman, who was a guest in Shawshenk's Redemption movie, was the black young man who shouted "New Prisoner” when Andy was in jail. It's not a big deal to sell old Morgan that Adrian still lets him play the part out of his bad taste.

“As for you, Tim, is there anything else I can explain?” Adrian turned to Tim now? Robbins.

“Let me think...” Robbins made a gesture and raised his head after standing on his chin for two rounds, “Ed, can you see this? ”

He closed his eyes and coughed softly. After brewing, he opened his eyes and looked at Freeman with a faint smile. He looked relaxed but could not see clearly: “You'll see when you get it. ”

“Excellent!” Adrian couldn't help but clap his hands and use the "original squad horse” as the best option to authenticate with the images he remembered and then blend and guide them, making the shooting much more efficient.

“Stand by and get ready to go.” He waved his arms and shouted, "Don't let anything happen to the others. ”

Almost five days after the boot, Adrian's scheduling of the big scene began to go smoothly, as long as the temporary actors didn't make the basic mistake - appearing in the area they weren't supposed to be in, or holding something that didn't belong to that era - of shooting up to his requirements.

Now the scene is Andy's first contact with Red after his incarceration, and Andy wants to get a little hammer through Red, and Red discovers something unusual about him through Andy's words and actions.

“I can understand why people think he's lonely, he's got an extraordinary temper, he's different from us, he's in the park, he's just a carefree tourist.” This is what Andy and Red said when they walked into the crowd after they were cold.

Although this narrative will not be recorded until a later stage, Adrian, who is in charge of the mirror himself, couldn't help but think of it. Robbins' performance was really excellent, especially as he smiled and turned to walk into the crowd, showing Andy's light temperament well.

“I can feel the inner heart of the hero, calm, sad and never giving up, in a sense, much like me.” That's what Robbins said when asked, "I'm glad I didn't miss it. ”

Think of it, in Adrian's memory, Robbins was known for his low profile, and despite his reputation for "Shawshenk's Redemption," he rarely advertised himself in front of the media except for his political participation. There are many types of low profile, and the vast majority of people are low profile for low profile, which is just one way to attract attention, and Robbins' low profile is really low profile, which is probably why he and Salandon have been in this relationship for almost 20 years. Unfortunately, Hollywood is a real place after all, and it always happens.

Robbins is in the best shape of a few leading actors, but the other two old skeletons are no different. - James? Whitmore doesn't have an exterior scene, otherwise it's three old ones. Freeman needless to say, he began to recap the character as early as the next time, and Adrian's memorabilia-based explanation for him was very appetizing, having melted the character and self embodied in the script into everything, all that remained was the melting problem.

Bob Gunton's warden was equally brilliant, although he was younger than Freeman, and he didn't pick the beam in the movie like Freeman did, but if you look at the characters in the act, you'll find that Bob would never feel bad if he played a positive character, and if he played a negative character, it would definitely be annoying. Though Warden Norton had little outside play, he had just the right grasp of a bad, ostensibly serious temperament in his bones.

“Anyway, you have to listen to me from beginning to end.” Bob joked when he took a break from talking about acting while filming the prisoner working outside the correctional facility.

Freeman, who had a good relationship with him, immediately responded with a twist: "But you're finished, right, Andy? ”

He deliberately called Robbins the character's name, the significance of which was self-evident, and the people around him laughed. Robbins laughed and didn't talk, and he got along well with everyone, but he preferred to sit around and watch others chat, just like Andy, the lead actor.

Well, the actor doesn't have to worry too much about Adrian except for a few characters, and his main focus is on the field scheduling. As mentioned earlier, in the Ohio landscape, with the exception of a few shots, there is essentially a large crowd of people involved, such as the prisoner playing on the playground and working outside; for example, Andy escaped, the police searched along the pond; for example, the warden held a press conference; for example, the most classic scene, the show "Figaro's Wedding", etc.

Although Adrian also has his own experience in controlling the big scene because of the shooting during this time, it doesn't mean he can take it lightly. After all, there are only so many temporary actors. If a guy was a prisoner in the lens the moment before, and he became a cop in the lens the moment after, or a reporter with a microphone, then this bug is too big.

How could Adrian allow new bugs to appear when he had the heart to repair what he remembered, like the "Miranda Clause" that the chief guard read when he was arrested, or the muzzle of the warden's suicide? Even if he can't control everything, he can't make this obvious mistake.

After almost three weeks of shooting like this, most of the shots that required a lot of temporary actors were taken, and Adrian was not in a hurry, although the plan was delayed, and the exterior shots were already more than those in the studio, besides, they were acceptable as long as the shooting time didn't exceed two months.

During that time, Nathan had quite a few words in private, but did not interfere with Adrian's work, and everyone at the film company knew when to do it, not to mention that he was not authorized to do so when he arrived. Generally, directors do not, in principle, refer to firms unless their practices may be detrimental to their interests.

The rest of the shot Adrian intends to complete within three days, and it has been proven that even films like Shawshenk's Redemption can still be photographed in memory and then, based on this, targeted narrative, thereby mobilizing the actor's emotions and completing the shooting he needs.

“Clancy, I want you to understand what kind of emotion your character should be, the feeling of happiness, curiosity, and feeling that this person is good, not the feeling of a good friend before - don't make me regret filming this first.” Standing on the rooftop of the shooting area, Adrian was half joking about explaining it to the actors.

“I promise not.” The actor, Clancy, sitting on the floor, raised her hands and shouted.

“Good," Adrian said, turning to Freeman, "Morgan, you have to be aware that the expression on your face matches the narrative of your heart, believing it's simple for you. ”

“No problem.” Freeman, also sitting on the floor, not far from Clancy, shrugged with a smile.

Adrian said it again to the other actors and finally looked at Robbins sitting against the wall: "As for you, Tim, oh, my God, I wish they didn't have to worry about me like you do. ”

“Really? I always thought you were unhappy with me, otherwise how could I have stood under the faucet and looked up at the sky that night?” Did Robbins have a funny time?

Two days ago, Adrian filmed the best shot of the whole movie in a pond near the penitentiary, and Andy escaped from the sewer and stretched his hands out into the rain to look up to the sky. Because it wanted to be even more perfect, the shot was repeated more than twenty times, and Robbins also drained the sprinkler head twenty times. Though it's spring, Ohio temperatures slightly north are not as high as in Los Angeles, so Robbins sneezed a few times after work, thanks to his good health without a cold.

When they heard this, everyone around them laughed and Adrian didn't say anything, shrugging his shoulders against these dirty white vests, waving the "prisoner” with the bluecloth duck tongue cap, indicating he was ready to go to work.

Now filming was the first redemption while working outside to repair the roof, and Andy used his intelligence to get the prisoners a beer and let them feel a moment of tranquillity and freedom.

“Good, guys, be serious. This is a good time to shoot. Don't delay.” Adrian in the director's chair shouted out loud that the sun had just risen and was a great opportunity to capture these shots.

“Don't you personally master the mirror?” Familiar sounds coming from the side.

“Not every camera requires a director to come in person, otherwise what does the photographer do?” Adrian answered quietly, then turned around and patted each other on the shoulder: “Look, Dan, while you're doing great, there's a lot more to learn than they are. ”
