King of Hollywood

Chapter 62: Rapid Intrusion

“I am deeply shocked by your callousness and cruelty, Dufrey, which I felt even in front of you, and on behalf of the Supreme Court of Maine, I sentence you to two life sentences, one for each person and one for immediate execution, without parole and without the aforementioned!” With the judge's cold verdict, Andy? Dufrey's face became miserable.

Naturally, when you go to jail, what's the bigger blow? The viewer felt suffocated when he walked past the prison gate, while the warden's naked phrase, "Give faith to God, give body to me”, gave a preliminary picture of despair in prison.

Unsurprisingly, however, most people - be it Red in the film or the audience in front of the big screen - thought Andy would be crying headaches the night he was in prison, but accepted his situation very calmly. As Red said when he went public, he was like a free man among these prisoners.

The story continues to evolve, and Red's fishy, brutal, “three sisters" perverts in prison show up as the plot unfolds, and the audience is confused while worried and outraged. Did Andy kill his wife?

The answer to that question seemed obvious when fixing the roof, and Andy took the risk of being pushed downstairs by the captain of the prison guard to exchange three beers for each of his peers. In the early morning sun, the inmates were drinking refreshing beer, while Andy smiled and looked at them as if normal workers were resting.

As Andy helped the warden evade taxes, he began to get into the warden's sight, then was transferred to the library with Boo, and then started laundering money for the warden. He began to be institutionalized as if parole had ended up hanging from his room, and writing letters to the State House to finance the library seemed to be just a struggle until Figaro's Wedding sounded in prison.

“I didn't even understand what those two Italian ladies were singing that day, and I didn't want to...” Red's narrative rang, but the audience began to echo another line: some birds were destined not to be locked in cages because each feather of them sparkled with the glow of freedom!

Finally, Tommy, who was about to be imprisoned for theft, cleared Andy of his suspicions, but unfortunately the warden didn't intend to make a statement on his behalf, how could he let a prisoner with his own secrets leave the grip? Andy provoked the warden to end up in solitary confinement, which unfortunately failed, even with Tommy's life.

Is it almost over? The audience held their breath when they learned that Andy had taken a couple of feet of rope from a friend, and when the lens stayed in bed for a long time, Andy said, "When no one can make it," At this point, whoever it is, will not want to see the end of the tragedy.

They did not see, the plot suddenly spinning in a peak loop, when the lens stretched out from Andy's escaped cave to shoot the warped face of the warden, when Andy carefully planned everything to crawl in the stinking sewer, when Andy reached out his hands in the rain and looked up at the night sky, in the thick and exciting music, the audience was exhaled when they had previously been depressed to the extreme emotions, and the long outbursts in the projection hall were everywhere.

The film finally ended and all the bad guys were punished, and Red, who sincerely repented because of Andy, was paroled, and the two met and hugged on the sunny beach.

The lights in the projection hall lit up, quiet for a few minutes, the clapping applause suddenly sounded, there was only one person at first, but immediately two more people joined, and finally the warm applause could almost lift the roof.

“Looks like everyone still loves the movie.” Adrian, sitting in a special bakery, looked at the scene in the projection hall with a little pride and said, LaVerne glanced at him for not talking and lowered his head to write something on his notebook.

Soon the staff fed back the information from the screening, and Adrian had to whistle with the statistical form: “Look, Ralph, the reviews were basically 8 to 9, and there were a few out of 10, and the comments that were made were in my expectations and could be ignored. ”

“This is a great movie indeed.” LaVerne nodded in favour of that statement.

“Well, I'll notify the global side, and I'll leave the publicity to you.” Adrian looked at him and his eyes didn't blink.

“I understand.” LaVerne stopped what was in her hand, raised her head and nodded seriously again.

He knows why Adrian spoke so solemnly, Oscar! As the most influential film award in the United States, the Oscar Golden Statue Award stands for other awards - whether the Golden Globe Award, the Trade Union Award for Directors or the Association of Film Critics Award - incomparable, triggering a war every year until the Oscar is hosted, with films produced by various film companies propagating and publicizing for actors who perform films, from nomination to award.

As Adrian said, all the awards ceremonies are just cake splitting - whether it's a European film festival or an Oscar - and you can expect to be split together if you're eligible, depending on the means of publicity and public relations.

In general, a film or an actor can be nominated and awarded at least 40 per cent of publicity and public relations work, especially awards, and the proportion rises by another five percentage points. Unless a film or actor has undisputed advantages, such as 90% of film critics and the public agree that the film or actor should be awarded an award, or that other films, actors and films nominated that year, the difference between the actor and the actor is too wide.

Doesn't it sound unacceptable that such a widely recognized film award should be judged fairly and fairly? The reality, however, is so unfortunate that people are affected, people are biased, judges can't be people, so being influenced or having a subjective view of some films is a positive thing.

As long as the publicity is in place and the PR is strong, the judges will naturally unwittingly favour certain actors in certain films and then vote for them in their hands. The Cinema Academy either did not think of a way, and 5,000 members were judges as one of the measures, which did guarantee some degree of impartiality. After all, it's not easy to influence 5,000 people compared to the Golden Globe Awards of only 99 judges.

But that's only a certain degree of impartiality. The 5,000 members of the Film Academy seem to be quite large, but less than half of the judges can really judge, just like those in Europe, where the national judges always have a big say. Therefore, when quality is guaranteed, competition outside quality becomes the main determinant of victory and loss. If you have a vast array of communication tools at your disposal that can be seen, heard and noticed by the judges at any time, then you are almost undefeated, and that is the power of the media.

Of course, ordinary people don't see this, they only see the predictions of critics, they only see the shows on the Oscar red carpet, they only see the scenery and the gorgeous images, but they don't and can't notice the things behind them - it's also the power of the media.

Therefore, Adrian has fulfilled his promise to produce a film that qualifies as a finalist, and it will depend on LaVerne's publicity work to get tickets to the Oscars next year.

“Okay, so let's move on to another issue," Adrian changed the subject, “the preparation of the new film. ”

LaVernton had a bitter smile on his face, and he really didn't know what to say about it. Adrian's pace was too fast to keep up with it. Undeniably, since he acquired Bosworth Films, those two small, high-cost box office films have immediately changed the company's current half-dead situation. Especially "Memory Shards," where the box office was only a few million short of "Two Big Smoke Guns," but earned an extremely high reputation, the last time Bosworth Films had done so years ago.

In addition, his vision of investing in films is remarkably acute, such as Terminator 2 in July, which by now has exceeded 400 million in global box offices, and several more countries are yet to be shown, with the possibility that the global final box office will exceed 500 million!

Now that we have a good start, then naturally we should have a steady and steady development, but Adrian has chosen to rush forward. When Memory Shards was not offline, preparations began for the medium-sized investment of Shawshenk's Redemption, and this time the goal was no longer a film festival, but an Oscar King Award! In addition to this, director Spielberg was invited to produce Jurassic Park and was prepared to collaborate with Disney to produce a live version of The Grinch Pokémon.

Well, LaVerne admitted that Shawshenk's Redemption was an excellent film and was perfectly qualified to contend for Oscar. He also admitted that with the forerunner of Terminator 2, Jurassic Park would not make a lot of money if it really made a realistic dinosaur cg; and that the Grinch Pokémon had a popularity of animation accumulation, so long as directors and producers grabbed the selling spot, it was possible to make a fortune as well. But Adrian not only didn't hold his foot, but went even crazier. Shoshenk's Redemption had just ended, and he was about to prepare a new movie, and he was going to make three movies in the coming year. He also promised to bring a film emperor to the stage behind him and get nominated for the best director!

As a senior entertainer, LaVerne has met many deranged, paranoid, bizarre directors and producers, but this is the first time Adrian has done so. He is neither arrogant nor paranoid and restful, but when it comes to cinematic matters, he becomes incredibly confident, as if he was always right. Indeed, Adrian's abilities are unquestionable, so far he has been right, but the question is, can he continue to be right?

Perhaps... can? Bitter laughs back, and although Adrian's approach was voiced a long time ago, LaVerne is now deeply unwilling to see another miracle born.

(Well, I admit I'm still digging a pit, no wonder some guy said my book was a little slow and hot, but okay, that pit in chapter one was about to be filled out, and the lead character was about to build his place.
