King of Hollywood

Chapter 130: Everything Is in the Interest

Later in June, two weeks after the launch of the vulgar novel, Adrian arrived in London with Kate step by step after receiving a $27 million box office in North America. They visited Kate's family before going back to Emma's.

The little girl looked very happy and her eyes were bending to the moon teeth, but she still ignored Kate. Well, there are occasional reactions, but either as a ghost face or deliberately as a "I don't like you," Kate shrugged as helplessly as ever, despite being very depressed and uncomfortable.

“Well, don't worry, Kate, she's just a 2-year-old.” On the way back to the hotel, Adrian comforted his lover as he drove.

“I know she's only a 2-year-old, but...” Kate looks a little annoyed when she makes gestures, "even though she made a bad impression because she was so excited to hit you, but that was a little too long, wasn't it? ”

“It's not surprising, Kate, that kids have very good memories and can remember a lot of things during the day, so when we were little, we always felt like we had a really long day.” Adrian shrugged her shoulders, "and when she was older and started learning something complicated, she wouldn't remember that little thing. ”

“How long would that take? Two or three years?” Kate's tone brings a little tone, "you know, you promised her you'd take her to the set, which means I'll have to look at her on the set in the coming months. ”

Adrian came to London to make a movie instead of a vacation and naturally couldn't live at Emma's house, so the little girl was very upset, so Adrian had to promise to take her to the set to make the little guy happy, even though she didn't know what it was.

“Well, instead of comparing this, think about how to play yourself, otherwise, it's my eyes.” Adrian Haha laughed, but then he got serious, "I'm not gonna go online because you're my girlfriend, Kate."

“You'll see.” Kate said confidently.

Three more days later, the entire Howard Manor crew arrived in London, including the newcomer Diane Anthony? Hopkins. Though Hopkins always had doubts about Adrian directing the film, he talked to him and thought about it for a long time before finally deciding to gamble with him.

“As Ed said, there are things that you always have to try to figure out what's going to happen, and I look after him.” Hopkins said to a broker who feared for his reputation.

Two more days, in Emma? Upon Thompson's arrival, the crew arrived in the northeastern suburbs of London and the early rented Brenner estate began filming.

“cut” Adrian suddenly shouted, the actors on the set stopped and watched the director sitting nearby, without imaginary pointing or scolding, only Adrian could help laughing.

“Sorry, I was wrong," he sighed, "everybody's in great shape, and we're about to start the next shot. ”

Kate on the set laughed, followed Thompson and covered his mouth, and Hopkins shook his head down. The road was infected with low, low and light laughter.

Adrian said nothing and looked down at Emma in his arms, and the little guy was still happy to pull off his collar without realizing what he had brought. In the face of this situation, Adrian had to sigh a long, heavy breath, which prompted more laughter.

It lasted for about a dozen seconds and finally stopped laughing.

“All relaxed?” Adrian swept around and waved, "we continued. ”

The story of the novel Howard Manor is really interesting, and simply put, the two Helen sisters, Margaret and Kate, played by Thompson, met the conservative Wilcox family by chance. Mrs. Wilcox and Margaret were very talkative and wanted to hand over Howard Manor to Margarita before she died. But her husband, Henry, who played Hopkins, thought it was a ridiculous decision, and his children thought so, so they hid their will.

And because of a series of things, Henry was attracted to Margarita and ended up marrying Margarita. Although Margaret has always wanted to bring the atmosphere of the two families together, it has always been ineffective. Later, Helen invited her friend Leonard to be a guest at Howard's Manor, and Henry discovered that Leonard's partner was his former lover, and drove them off in anger, and Helen chased them out. And when she returned to the estate a few months later, she was already pregnant with Leonard's child, and Charles, the eldest son of the Wilcox family, thought it was disfigured, and then he missed his chance to kill Leonard, and was put in jail.

Eventually, Margaret took control of the Howard Estate and went in with Henry, Helen and Helen's children, thus fulfilling Mrs. Wilcox's will, and the barrier between the two families disappeared.

So much for coincidences. No wonder a lot of people think Edward? Morgan Foster wrote a fable about life and marveled at it. There are still many who believe that the Margaret sisters actually represented England's newborn middle class, while the Wilcox family was naturally a conservative aristocracy, and the last barrier disappeared was to prophesy that the two classes would eventually come together and so on.

For Adrian, it doesn't matter what fables the novel tells you, what benefits it brings to itself when it's adapted into a movie. As a man who had been bombarded with information in his previous life, he didn't really like this warm, implicit, English-style novel and film. It was too boring to watch without enough patience.

But it's all for the good, and as long as the film brings him the good he wants, he doesn't care to spend his time moving it onto the screen. Adrian is obviously part of this, although for directors, especially those in the literary drama category, making such a film must first have enough love for them.

It's a test, and I, will be perfectly done watching Adrian in the middle of the set say so in my heart.

I have to admit, Emma? Thompson and Anthony? Hopkins is a brilliant actor, especially Thompson, who paints that implicit and awkward engraving so well that no wonder he gets the best actress in the Oscars.

“Anthony, if you don't try harder, I'm afraid Emma's gonna get over it.” After filming this segment, Adrian smiled and said, “Show Professor Hannibal's style. ”

“Unless you want to see a Henry who always thinks of eating his wife? Wilcox shows up, or I don't suggest you do.” Anthony said with humor.

He wore a Victorian black suit, combed his big back and complemented Thompson in a long dress with a yolk face.

“So you're just gonna watch Emma take your head off?” Adrian continues to twist.

“Well... it doesn't matter.” Hopkins waved heavily, "don't draw conclusions so quickly, it's not over. ”

“The wind?” Just as Adrian wanted to say something, Emma, who was holding him in his arms and looking at the distant landscape, suddenly turned her head, “What's the wind? ”

“I forgot, there's an Emma here.” Adrian shook his head helplessly.

“What's the wind? What's the wind?” Emma's eyes were wide open and she grabbed Adrian's collar and asked.

“The wind wasn't nothing, darling," I looked at Hopkins and Thompson smiling, Adrian patting the little guy in the head, “remember what I told you? Work is about to start again. ”

Even though the little girl was reluctant and aroused the mumps, she kept her mouth shut and the look of the mumbling was really pathetic. However, in a few days, her cute, well-behaved appearance had gained the liking of the whole crew, and when Thompson learned what had happened to her, a lot of people felt sorry for her, so the whole crew went wild with her.

It is a privilege for a child of this age who is alive and well. Finally, before Adrian brought her here, she repeatedly told everyone that she couldn't lick trouble. The little girl, though naughty, also understood that she couldn't upset him, so although there were times when she interfered with the shooting, such as inadvertently making a lot of noise, or inadvertently walking into the lens, it was all within acceptable limits. More importantly, even if she continues to maintain her previous attitude toward Kate, she has a lot to hide, not knowing if it's instinctive or knowing it should be. But in the future, I'm afraid it's the latter.

“Glenn, are you ready?” Adrian shouted to the head of the photography team at this time.

“No problem." Glenn, who built the camera, put his thumb up.

“Willard?” Then he looked to the other side.

“Okay.” The makeup artist rushed over, followed by Kate in a Victorian dress.

I have to admit, although her face is a little oriental, every time she dresses like this she shows that classical flavor, and the charm of those British women is probably right here.

“All right, take your seats and get ready to go.” Adrian pressed the urge to go forward and talk to Kate and waved to get everyone ready to begin.

Kate took a closer look at him, but she didn't say anything, and walked straight to her place and started waiting. In fact, Kate hasn't spoken to Adriando since she joined the crew, even though most of the crew knew about their relationship. Adrian, although not in her heart, can only shrug her shoulders to understand this kind of psychology.
