King of Hollywood

Chapter 185 Yubo

“Wait for me ten minutes, no, twenty minutes.” After a warning to driver Grover, Charlize packed his own civilian clothes and walked with a small bag to the glorious Melita Hotel.

Around a large group of reporters guarding the door, she entered the hotel through the side door, but was stopped outside the lobby.

“Your name is not on the list, miss.” The waiter at the door said so.

“My name isn't on the list, but I'm Adrian? Mr. Corwell's personal assistant, I need to see him.” Charlize tried to explain, but no matter what she said, the waiter always found one thing: not being on the list.

Charlize almost freaked out. Luckily, she found a familiar man passing through the door and immediately called him, “Great, Ralph, can you help me convince this guy to let me in?"

“Charlie? What's going on? What's going on?” LaVerne, who wanted to come out and get some air, recognized Charlize.

“Ed said if the itinerary changed in the last few days, he had to be notified first. I just noticed a problem and might have to adjust all the itineraries, so I rushed in, but they wouldn't let me in.” Charlize simply said.

“I understand, then," LaVerne turned around and looked at the waiter's badge, "Paul, listen to me...”

With LaVerne's testimony, Charlize finally entered the party lobby, except that she walked the whole lobby without finding Adrian's figure, which was picked up by a lot of people.

“Mr. Claude,” she finally found a familiar figure a few minutes later, "Hello, I'm Charlize. ”

“Ah, the beautiful Miss Charlize, can I help you?” Claude, who was talking to a woman, asked with a smile, but soon he thought of something, and the smile became indescribable: “You're looking for Ed, right? He's not here, maybe you can find him upstairs. ”

Charlize's beautiful eyebrows suddenly picked up and Claude said thank you a few seconds later and followed the way to the stairs. The moment she turned around, she made an obvious eye rolling motion.

Claude smiled in his stomach until the woman next to him called him.

“That's a beautiful girl.” The woman laughed and said that the eye waves did not reveal any other emotions.

“That's my best friend's concierge —— by the way, where were we? Iguaçu and Niagara Falls, right? I think…” Claude simply pulled the subject back.

Charlize on the second floor still hasn't found Adrian after a few laps, which of course has nothing to do with the space on the second floor of the hotel.

“Do you want me to knock on the door of the room one at a time? Interrupting him in doing something…?” Charlize murmured angrily, and she decided to go straight back if she still couldn't find someone at the end of the tunnel.

As if God had heard her inner complaining, at the end of the day Charlize had finally heard Adriana's familiar voice, but when she walked a few steps to get there as quickly as possible to understand it, she took two steps and suddenly stopped, because there was more than one voice coming from Adrian around the corner.

“Okay, that's enough, Ed, I don't want to hear this, that's it, I'm going down, and then I'm leaving. ”

“You know, Julie, you look really cute. ”

“Stop saying such sweet words to me, Ed, they don't work anymore... whoo...”

“... ah, still sweet and fragrant, I like your lips, Julie. ”

“Keep that to others, Ed. If you ever dare to go again without permission... whoo...”

“Oh, that's so cute, if only I had a camera, I could take a picture of you now as a souvenir. Well, let's just go in the room, don't worry, do nothing, just talk. ”

“Please, Ed, don't do this, okay? Don't drag me in. You're in illegal custody."

“Listen, Julie, let's talk peacefully. You'll be happy. ”

After a kiss, a quarrel, and a grunt of ears, the door finally sounded shut. Charlize stood in the middle of the aisle for a long time, biting his teeth and humming, turning his head and walking in the same direction as before.

I was so dizzy working for such a boss that Charlize grabbed his own hair and thought. Look at what he did in London, only to go out with a woman he didn't know for a few days, hanging out in the lounge with a woman he knew. As for now, just talking? The ghost believed she bet he would spend the night at another woman's house after the “chat". He's an asshole with a sperm brain.

“Drive, go back.” After entering the car and closing the door heavily, Charlize whispered to the driver.

Grover looked at her and didn't say anything about starting the car.

Charlize finally calmed down after putting the windows down and blowing a half-cold wind. Well, when she chose to apply to Bosworth Film, she was in a very difficult situation, although she was working in a restaurant at the same time as her school training, and her savings were still running low. And while her grades are good and she has a lot of internship experience, for some reason, she's always been rejected by different companies.

So over time, she can barely afford to pay her rent. Although the mother comforted her, they could find a cheap apartment, but where else could it be cheaper? Black neighborhood in Queens?

So when Charlize saw the Bosworth Film Jobs in the paper, he cast his résumé. She did gather information about Adrian, and she knew the amazing achievements of the man who had encouraged her to try something new in the bench, so she hoped that perhaps the current dilemma could be improved by that relationship.

Charlize proved right, Adrian remembered her, and gave her a well-paid job coming to Los Angeles all by herself. It's just that she didn't expect this very charming, talented and understanding man to have such a mess in his private life.

Forget it, as long as he remembers to pay me on time. Charlize grew out of breath. Look out the window, she's in the motel now] The library is almost here, she can move out when she gets paid this month.

“Thank you, Grover.” This is what Charlize said to the driver after getting off at the front of the hotel.

“Are you sure you don't need a car tonight?” The driver asked.

“Um... can you give me a minute? I was in a hurry and there was something else in the room that I didn't pack. I needed to see it first.” I don't know why Charlize suddenly said that.

“No problem, but let me know.” Grover nodded.

What the hell am I thinking? Still worried about not notifying him the first time? It wasn't my fault that Charlize was walking to the motel somehow thinking.

“Hey, Charlie, you back so soon?” In the hallway on the second floor of the hotel, a skinny black man laughed and greeted her with a slender, hand-rolled cigarette wrapped around his fingers.

“It's done. Of course I'm coming back.” Charlize responded that while this black shorty likes to smoke and is a little dirty, he is generally good, at least more than some...

“Of course it's time to come back. Do you think those people will keep her overnight, Tad?” A slightly shady voice came out of the next room, then a young woman with makeup came out and looked at Charlize without concealing the disgust and hostility in her eyes.

“Come on, Maggie.” The short nigger named Tad was a bit sensible, though he was suddenly smoking, and unfortunately it was too late, and a few people in the hallway shouted at Maggie after hearing her.

“It's okay, Tad.” Charlize, while talking to Tad, looked at the woman with cold eyes and her mind twisted slightly over her head, but immediately twisted back and stared back at her.

Don't deserve to be angry with a kid. She said so to herself in her heart and went back to her room. Nonetheless, Charlize was still in a bad mood, and she didn't even know why. Though usually ironic by some woman, she's never been more annoyed than she was tonight, and she's always unconsciously reminded of Adrian.

Well, it's probably because... No, no, no, no, calm down, Charlie, don't think about it. Grover's out there waiting to hear back. Charlize rubbed both sides of his head and moved slightly in his heart. Because Adrian left her a room in the villa, so did the keys to the villa. Anyway, because of what just happened, I don't want to live here anymore. Why don't we go to the villa? Ed obviously won't be staying there tonight, which means that when he comes back in the morning, he can still give him the itinerary for the first time, so he can't blame anything...

By definition, Charlize automatically filtered something into his mind, packed the rest of the room, and took it outside with him.

The evening of carnival was finally over, and the aftermath of the Oscar had just begun, for example, the Los Angeles Times, which came out the next day with the headline "Another Oscar Night, Sad Adrian Continues His Sadness”; the Washington Post's entertainment headlines were captured by a photograph of Adrian bowing out of the music center, looking frustrated; and as for The New York Times, although the headline photographs were all featured with halves of several big winners, news about Adrian's "nomination only" appeared in the top-right corner.

Like last year, the media once again stood on Adrian's side, and seemed to be more intense than last year. After all, three films a year with different styles and a double reputation in the box office, but returning to Oscar with wings, were in any case worthy of sympathy - sympathy without money anyway, and attractive to them.
