King of Hollywood

Chapter 209: Stagnation

“According to the transcript, you were the first to come in, didn't you see the kid?” an FBI agent asked.

“There are signs of vandalism at the gate. What's going on?” Another agent asked at the same time, "Did you follow the procedure? ”

Stan smiled and with a dangerous look, his patience seemed to be over.

“I lost a man here," he waved in front of two federal agents, grinning at them, "What do you think of me?" ”

“Cooperate, Stan.” The second agent who spoke just now said seriously.

Stanha laughed with disdain and contempt, and then suddenly yelled, “I don't have time for this bullshit. Want to work with you? Then come to my office, 4602."

After that, he pushed them away angrily and hung his seal. After coming outside the apartment and throwing a child's ball far away, he greeted his companion to get in the car and leave. He just didn't expect there to be anyone else in the room besides him and the two agents.

Matilda chased out of the apartment, watched the policeman who killed her brother leave, rushed to the side of the road and stopped a taxi, 4602 office, which she remembered very clearly.

“Follow that blue car," Matilda said, closing the door and pointing forward.

The black driver, who was driving with countless little braids, turned his head, gauged her and frowned, "Do you want me to run a red light in front of the whistling police car? ”

“Don't drive slowly," Matilda said when she poked a little piece of green paper in front of him, staring sharply at the driver with a rude eyebrow, "Take this $100 and shut your mouth."

The young girl's momentum suddenly shocked the driver, and he took the money and looked at her and started the car.

Adrian, standing next to the camera, couldn't help clapping his hands out.

Without his compliment, Natalie shrugged Liu Mei to reprimand the driver, and no one could do better than her.

“Looks like I should be proud of you for the third time today.” Natalie walked up to Adrian after the shoot, with her hands behind her back, and looked up at him and said proudly.

“Hey, little guy, too proud to be bad.” Adrian shook her fingers, looked left and right, and pinched her hand on the girl's face with a thunderbolt.

The girl who was suddenly attacked opened her eyes and immediately held her fist in her mouth in an attempt to fight back, but Adrian's body gave way and she had to close the pose immediately, as her mother was coming this way.

“Hi, Mom.” Natalie reached out and hugged her mother, sneaking a white eye at Adrian.

“Hey, baby, is today over?” Shelly kissed her daughter's face.

“Yes, Nada, today's play is done. You can take her back, Shelly.” Adrian said beside him.

“Thank you.” Shelly nodded at him and looked at Natalie.

“Okay, I'm going to get changed.” Natalie said and walked to the trailer on the street. She deliberately chose to rub Adrian over her shoulder and hit him with her elbow.

“Nada.” Adrian shouted and shocked her.

“What is it?” She turned her head and looked at him nervously. This guy wasn't such a cheap guy.

“You did an amazing job today," she unexpectedly said, "Adrian didn't complain about her little move, she just smiled and thumbed her up," and it's worth taking pride in. ”

And then she got a little embarrassed, and she smiled, “Thank you, you did a good job. ”

“Really?" Adrian's voice dragged on a few copies, and I don't know what that means. How does a child know what a director's job is?

Natalie lifted her mouth unhappily, just to make her look cuter.

Adrian shook his head with a smile and suddenly thought of something to say: "By the way, the day after tomorrow's play will be delayed by one day. ”

“A day's delay? The day after tomorrow is the weekend, right?” Natalie asked puzzled.

“Yes, but the problem is that I have a new film in my company that is being filmed in New York, and I am a writer and producer of this film, so I have to take the time to see it.” Adrian made a gesture and said, "I can't let them continue filming on the weekends so I can check the situation, so I'll have to take your leave first. ”

“New movie?” Natalie revealed her memories, “I think the newspaper said," It's called... ”

“Delicious Love," Adrian said for her, "a family comedy about chefs and love. ”

“You make two films at the same time?” Natalie asked curiously.

“No, counting the others, there are about three or four copies to be produced at the same time.” Adrian replied honestly.

Natalie opened her mouth and came back to her: “Wow, three or four films at the same time. No wonder the press would call you a workaholic. When I first heard that you could make two and a half films a year, I didn't believe it. ”

“No, no, no, it's not the same, Nada,” Adrian waved, "and by making two and a half films a year, they mean the whole process from character selection to directorship to editing. And what I'm talking about now, it's just production, and 90% of the work is left to others, and I'm only responsible for... um... testing to see if it meets my requirements. Only God can make three or four films with all the work at the same time. ”

“However, this is already remarkable, and although I have only a literal understanding of the work of directors and producers, I also know how much capability is needed.” Natalie exclaimed, turning her eyes and suddenly thinking of something flashing with excitement: “By the way, Ed, I can... can I go check it out? Check out the shooting venue for that new movie. ”

“To see that movie in the studio?” Adrian thought about it, "Sure, but...”

He looked at Natalie's mother, who lifted her arms and smiled with helplessness.

“Looks like I'm gonna need some time to talk to my mom," Natalie dressed up as a ghost, "and there's one more day, isn't there? ”

“Nada, honey, you're not really going, are you?” On the way back, Shelly drove over and asked her daughter.

“Why not?” Natalie didn't think to open her hand, “go to another set and add some insight. ”

“But, darling, what about your homework?” Shelly sighed, "And... and your dad...”

“Well, Mom, you know, although I've been making movies for a while, I've never left my homework behind. As for Dad...” The girl can't help but sigh, "maybe you can talk to him? ”

“We had a deal, Nada.” Shelly warned.

“Okay, okay, I get it.” Natalie lifted her mouth and said.

Soon they returned to their home in Long Island and their father, Avner, had just returned home from work.

“Dad.” Natalie greeted and followed her to a hug with her father.

Avner smiled and hugged her daughter and was about to talk, her eyebrows suddenly wrinkled and her face didn't look good. He pointed at Natalie's neck and asked in a raw tone: “What is this? ”

“Ah?” Natalie touched her neck without understanding, and found the starred collar as Matilda's logo on her neck.

“Oh, shit, it's a costume. I forgot to take it off when I changed.” Natalie explained quickly, then joked again: "Oh, my God, I hope the crew doesn't charge me with stealing. ”

“Then take it off quickly.” The father said so, saying hello to his wife and walking into the house.

Turning her white eyes against her father's back, Natalie took off her black collar and looked up at her mother. The mother rubbed her head with comfort and the mother and daughter laughed together. It's not the first time my father's done this, he'll be fine after a while anyway.

Soon after dinner, the mother ended up on the table with plenty of food, basically no meat, and the whole family was vegetarian. Natalie sat in her seat laughing and looking at what was busy without paying attention to her father on the table, reaching out and slipping a grain of beans from the plate into her mouth in a rush of thunder.

The mother watching beside her gave her a reprehensible look by shaking her head, and the girl threw up her tongue and didn't put it in her heart.

After the pre-meal prayer, the family began to use the dinner and the atmosphere was quite harmonious. So after a few conversations, Natalie started to steer the conversation in the direction she wanted.

“By the way, Dad, the day after tomorrow the crew takes a day off.” After talking about a few movies, she suddenly said so.

“That's great. You can go back to school for the full day. Mr. Gail has told me a lot. Your analysis is pretty good. He wants to talk to you.” Avner nodded.

“But, Dad, Ed put the crew on holiday because he was going to go to the studio for a new film, and I wanted to see it.” Natalie tried to speak in a worthless tone.

“New movie theater? What does that have to do with you?” Avner frowned immediately.

“I want to add some insight, which is good for me.” Natalie looked at Father Eye.

“Benefits? Do you really want to keep making movies, Nada?” Avner frowned deeper, and the spoon in his hand was on the table, and Shelley had a heart to say something but didn't know how to say it.

“Why not as long as you have the right role?” That's what happened to my father in front of me, and Natalie got a little upset.

“How many times have I told you, Nada? Why do you always want to be an actor? With so many careers to choose from, you're smarter than the average kid, but why would you prefer to be in a movie? You know what that means?” Avnero raised his voice slightly.

“But, Dad, it's my wish. Why can't I do what I want?” Natalie didn't want to show weakness in raising her voice either.

Father and daughter just froze on the table.
