King of Hollywood

Chapter Two: The Millionaire

It was already the afternoon of the next day when we boarded the plane. Although Adrian started making arrangements after receiving the call, the movie, because of its importance, had a lot of things to deal with. It took almost a day or so to basically get it done. If it wasn't for Charlize, it might have taken twice as long.

“To be honest, I should thank you, Charlie, for not knowing how messed up my life would be without you.” After retrieving his gaze from the clouds outside the window, Adrian said with emotion to Charlize.

But he came face to face with his itinerary.

“I've rescheduled as you asked, if that's okay with you.” Charlize deliberately uttered in an arcane tone that appeared very uncoordinated, with no expression on that delicate face.

“Oh, that's more proof of my words.” Adrian stretched her hand around Charlize's waist and moved into her arms, and the girl sat in shock on his thigh, breaking the move so easily.

“It's on the plane, Ed.” Charlize said half-assed, half-assed, half-assed.

“Of course I know it's an airplane, and I also know there's no one else on it but the pilot we already have in the cockpit, darling.” Adrian laughed and said, his hands began to get dishonest.

“Don't call me darling."

“Okay, sweetheart. ”

“And don't call me sweetheart.”

“No problem, baby. ”

“And don't scream... damn if you're listening to me." Charlize struggled to get up, but Adrian wouldn't let go anyway, just smiling at her.

“What, you want to do it here?” It was harder to remain calm, Charlize whispered, and this unspoken word made her regret it, as Adrian hissed and unzipped her jeans.

“You guys" slapped him hard with his elbows in panic, Charlize finally fled Adrian's arms and sat on the other side of the plane, then stared at him with hatred and some complexity.

“I'm serious, Charlie, there's no better assistant secretary than you.” Adrian looked at her with a smile.

“That's a raise,” Charlize said, not to mention, “I have a new job now called nanny. ”

“No problem. How about 30%?” Adrian was very happy to say yes, and the girl was stunned, because he had raised her salary by 50 per cent only a month earlier, and had done so four times in more than a year, and Charlize already had a rare high salary in the profession of assistant secretary.

“I'm not kidding, Charlie, you're really brilliant, let alone the work I've been doing, and this time I'm going back to discuss the project with you to complete it, aren't you?” Adrian said, raising his hand and shaking the itinerary, and then he sat in front of the girl, holding her hand in his own hand and looking at her sincerely: “I don't want you to leave, I want to keep you around in the way I can. ”

“Sorry, I have to go to the bathroom.” After a few seconds of silence, Charlize stood up and walked behind the cabin.

Looking at her back, Adrian's mouth smiled slightly and shrugged again, distracting her attention from other places, such as the plane. Due to the urgency of the need, the rented aircraft is older and may experience turbulence due to strong airflow, although the cabin is still well arranged.

Looks like we should consider buying a private plane, too? Adrian thought so. But then he shook his head, not yet, and while TBS had been successful in getting into their bags, he gave Claude two new goals: amazing comics and HBO TV networks. The acquisition of TBS did not cost much money and could be used just in that regard.

It goes without saying that, after entering the 21st century, when CG technology matured, their superheroes dominated the vast majority of the screen and thus made huge profits, and Adrian could not think of a reason not to acquire it. Take a look at Warner, how much Superman and Batman have benefited them since they bought DC comics in the late '60s. Now that you know what the prospects are, don't you have to wait until the stock of amazing comics starts to rise?

As for HBO, unlike other television networks, HBO is the largest paid cable network in the United States, rather than advertising, and one of the few television networks to focus on original television dramas. The episodes produced, though inseparable from sexuality, violence and black, were always of guaranteed quality and were produced by Brothers Company. Likewise, HBO has not produced those classic episodes yet, and now is the perfect time to acquire them.

As a result, and now that Adrian doesn't want to live a life of indebtedness - influenced by previous generations, he can't help it - private planes are not expensive and maintenance is the most expensive place to spend money, so he abandoned his intention after some deliberation. But don't wait too long, because '95 is coming soon, Cisco and Microsoft stock in hand have been increasing, and Stanford's two men have started collecting websites ahead of time. Adrian is hiding a point or two that leaves no trace. By this time next year, his family will only continue to expand.

Well, let's get back to what's going on. Adrian reached out and opened the folder next to the itinerary in front of himself, and Claude spent almost a month tweaking and restructuring TBS, and it was time to pull something out himself. In fact, Claude's call meant that he would be rewarded with a generous reward for carrying out the road slaughter. ”In the AC Media conference room, Adrian sat on Claude's right hand side, reclining on the back of the chair with his hands crossed, sitting on the table and watching the TBS executives go through the folder in front of him, said.

tbs is headquartered in atlanta, but claude specifically asked executives to come to Los Angeles for a meeting because he was temporarily unable to leave. Adrian knew, of course, that this was just to move TBS to Los Angeles, which was their home base after all.

“Tell me what you think, gentlemen, ladies.” Adrian said so.

“Everyone can sign up, so you can get a lot of attention from the start.” An executive then opens his mouth, and his thoughtful expression shows that his idea of the show is in favor.

“Indeed, and the process is not too difficult, it gives the impression that if I were you, I would be able to do it.” Another female executive opens her mouth, "more people will be involved and more people will be watching. ”

“The audience will replace themselves with a participant and naturally choose to support someone who sees it right, and if that person wins eventually, it may also attract the audience, making it roll bigger and bigger like a snowball. ”

“And the rewards seem generous, but if you really get a high rating, it's not worth mentioning the cost of advertising. ”

With the words of the previous two executives as primers, others began to discuss them, and the conference room became much more lively at a time. As for Adrian, Claude and I smiled and slowly drank the pure water in front of us.

“Mr. Adrian, I have a question about…” A middle-aged man raised his hand and asked, "I think you may have misunderstood something, Mr. Baker, but I'm only responsible for providing the idea and some basic information about it, and the specifics have to be complemented by you. ”

The middle-aged man's face suddenly turned red, some of them clamoring their hands back, which apparently reminded him of the person who offered the idea, the chairman of the AC Media board and their boss.

“Of course, I'm not accusing you of anything, Mr. Baker,” Adrian continued, "what I'm trying to say is that an excellent art show that engages the audience is not done with a brilliant idea, and it takes a lot of work together, and I want you to come together and turn this idea of" Millionaire "into a perfect show."

Yes, Adrian came up with the idea of winning a million TV shows by answering a few questions. It was the introduction of the program from the UK that forced ABC to maintain the situation until after the year 2000, and one can imagine how hot it was when it aired. But that's why the disoriented ABC executives began to squeeze the profits of the Millionaire to the maximum, and two or three years later the show ended. Adrian certainly wouldn't make the same mistake with these very clear, and while the program won't last long, don't forget that there are many other ideas in his head.

The clapping applause rang in the conference room, and for what Adrian had said before, it was good to accommodate them, at least now they all think the show is valuable.

“I have to admit, Ed, you have a brilliant idea, taking full advantage of the weaknesses of humanity.” After the meeting, Turner, who was also present at the meeting but never spoke, said to Adrian.

“It's not enough, it's just a little bit. Everybody likes to take advantage, right? Especially the average person," Adrian shrugged, "as long as they saw the hope of winning the prize, they would inevitably wander, which is the same thing as buying a lottery ticket, but more intense and exciting and more admirable than it is. ”

“Anyway, it's a brilliant idea, though seemingly simple, but nobody's ever had the same thing before you, and you're a genius, Ed.” Turner patted his shoulder and said.

The idea that British television will not produce the show until next year is, of course, unique.

“This is a really good idea, Ed. Ted's not an easy guy to compliment. I can't wait to see how it works.” Claude half-joked after Turner left, saying that his performance today was much more bland than that of Turner and those executives, whom he knew long ago as Adrian's best friend.

“Actually, I still have a lot of ideas.” Adrian shrugged his shoulders unmindfully. "It's all about lowering the gateway to participation, increasing the winner's rewards, doing things differently, but essentially the same. ”

“The key is knowing how to do it, for example, by answering questions; and what rewards are appropriate, for example, a million bonuses. These are the highlights of whether a show is popular or not.” Claude said in good time.

“Don't be greedy, Claude. I'll take it out when it's time.” Adrian knew what he meant and shook his head with a smile, "let's start by making Millionaire, and then play the sign. ”

Will it inspire the planning departments of other broadcasters, leading to a lot of early shows? Don't worry about that, just to recap a little, a few popular shows were mostly introduced from European countries. Not to say that these people lack inspiration and there are some good arts shows in the United States, but most broadcasters are profit-oriented and rarely take risks. Even in Europe, most of these programmes are produced by independent television stations.

“Well, let's talk about something other than the art show now.” After watching the conference room, Adrian changed the subject, "remember the plan we discussed earlier? ”

“Sure,” Claude smiled. "You got an idea for the talk show? ”

“Come on, Claude, I'm serious about talking to you.” Adrian turned a white eye.

He never had a good idea about the talk show. The talk show shows or the ones that can be red talk shows are demanding of hosts. The signatories of TBS now have no problem hosting such shows as Millionaire. It's no problem hosting regular talk shows, but it's difficult to make the talk shows noticeable. Adrian had initially blurred to think of something, but then disappeared without a trace. After not finding it on several occasions, he temporarily gave up. He believed that since he was there, he would always remember.

“Okay, okay, so you've got a TV show in mind?” Claude had his hands full.

“Yes, we do. There are just a few films to prepare for this trip back to Los Angeles, just in time to get the TV show thing settled.” Adrian nodded, "this is a special youth idol show that may have a narrow audience, but it fits exactly what TBS is doing. The other thing is, the star may be a little younger. ”

“Oh - maybe a little -” said Claude, prolonging his voice, and the look on his face turned out to be laughing and not laughing.

“Bye, Mom." Sarah shouted, waving at the mom at the door and slipping into Adrian's car.

Some shy glance at Adrian, she held onto her mood and sat down in the co-pilot's seat without saying anything. Adrian smiled slightly, waving at Roseland through the window, and the car drove out.

All the way to Bosworth Film, drove into the parking lot, stopped in the corner, Adrian was about to talk, and Sarah had pounced up to wrap her neck around him and kissed him in the mouth. In the face of a sudden attack by a teenage girl, Adrian was a little stunned at first, but then began to enjoy the warm lips and tongues of the teenage girl.

As her panting intensified, not only did Sarah not converge, she crossed over to Adrian and became more enthusiastic with him. Her body also swayed back and forth, feeling the frictional Adrian beneath her holding her gently upward, and the atmosphere in the car was getting stronger and stronger.

Finally, they split up, Sarah gasped softly, her face blushed, and she looked at Adrian with her eyes still distracted.

“I love you, Ed.” She said softly that her soft voice was seductive.

“I love you too, baby.” Adrian said earnestly, looking at Sarah with a loving eye and sighing in her heart, Huaichun's teenage girl is the most impulsive for a man.

“I haven't seen you in over two weeks.” The young girl said with some grudge, but did not hide the desire in her eyes.

Sarah has become more and more obsessed with Adrian for the first time since she had a relationship in the woodhouse in Forest Park, and she usually looks nice and beautiful in front of a lot of people, but if she was alone with him in private, it would be completely different. Sexy, wild, a little vagarious, but just right not annoying, Adrian really likes it.

“I'm sorry,” he kissed her lips, "hope you like the birthday present I gave you. ”

Because it was impossible for Sarah to visit Alabama like Monica and Julia did, and Adrian was not able to attend her birthday party, the two split up after the shooting of Agan Zheng, until we met again more than two weeks later, during which time Sarah's birthday gift was also sent by the Adriantoes.

“I like it, I really like it, Ed, I've never liked it that way.” Sarah said with tenderness.

Adrian's gift is a string of stone necklaces, made up of several white crystal clear stones, very beautiful. In the eyes of others, this may just be an ordinary stone necklace, but it means something extraordinary to Sarah.

“Too bad I bought it in the store," Adrian sighed, "I'll go look carefully in the stream in Forest Park and make a bracelet for you myself...”

Before I could finish, Sarah stuck me in the mouth again, and then she was enthusiastic.

“Okay, Sarah, that's it for now," Adrian breathed a little rushed holding the girl, "we have something else to do today, remember? I said I'd arrange a TV show for you. ”

“I know, Ed, but...” Always ride around Adrian with Sarah around his neck, sticking it in his ear and saying with a breathing voice, "I want you. ”

“Now? Here?” Adrian picked the eyebrows.

“Yes.” Sarah's face became more red and seemed to drip out of the water. She seemed hesitant about something, but a few seconds later she made her decision and whispered in an exciting tone: "i]
