149: What is the Kupidus?

Approximately ten years before now, Kuzel Gio was on his way to hearing rumors that the weapon he had created was sleeping somewhere in the demonic realm.

The reason for this is that the aim is to retrieve the weapons we have found and to ensure that they are never again in the hands of others.

People were trying to prevent a little tragedy by recovering their existence leading to strife because of the weapons they had created and because of that power they had lost their families as well.

The place Kuzel headed is called [Door Ruins].

That was where buildings once said to have been built by a race existed.

Much of the years had gone by and it was mostly weathered, but the more he touched it, Kuzel was walking along the rocky walls that collapsed, searching through the buildings that had become scurvy.

Then there was what Xel felt in his perception. It's also like a slight odor, another sign of a creature. And above all, I felt the presence of the weapon I had created.

Walking according to the senses, it was led to one large stone statue.

And surprisingly, beneath the stone statue, we discovered a staircase that leads to the underground passage as if it were hidden.

As it is, Kuzel follows the signs of a weapon that he feels strongly from under it. But shortly after he stepped in, a great smell made Kuzel reluctant to go any further.

Intense............... smell of blood.

And the unpleasant smell of the meat rotting greatly irritated the mucous membrane of the nose. I would like to leave this place as soon as possible, but I move my legs thinking that I will not only have weapons in my hands than I have come this far.

Inside, it is built like a dig of dirt, and as if it were a nest of ants, several roads are separated. It was the breadth and complexity that no doubt would get lost if the stranger let him in.

But Kuzel moves on without getting lost because of his sensing abilities. Gradually the signs of the weapon grow stronger, and a tremendous amount of fear runs where it was plugged into a hole.

It felt as if I was being poked at the blade from behind, too much as if I was being grabbed for my life, but it immediately subsided.

The more I realized, the more unusual sweat was gushing out of my whole body. He was turned on a strong will mixed with animosity, killing intentions, no, not only that, but various intentions.

But I didn't feel that anymore. The more I wondered what the hell it was, the more the silence was just spreading now.

He advanced to the end of the hole, alarmed that a strange sensation would strike him again as he rang his throat. Amazingly, it was a place where several objects shaped like coffins rested.

Unexpectedly, Kuzel smiles. That's because the smell and rot of blood have become even stronger. The place was square-built and had a considerable amount of space. And as many coffins as you can get.

It was a rather odd sight because the coffins were lined up in an unnaturally circular fashion and the coffins were firmly placed in that circle as well.

(Does it also mean anything...?

In the center of the room there is room for people to walk, stretching straight towards the pounding of the room. On the penetration, objects were embedded in the walls that made the stone statue I had just seen many times larger.

The stone statue also looks like a big beast, and also like someone with an ugly face.

How creepy, he looked like the chill ran just watching. And looking through the stone statue, Kuzel opens his eyes wide.

Because it looked familiar to the sword that was piercing its embedded giant stone statue forehead. That was undoubtedly a sword once created by Kuzel.

I'm not sure how it got here, but I stroke my chest down in a ho way that I found it this way.

On the way to get it, I hear something crumble and turn my gaze to you in a panic. Then I found the anomaly in one of the coffins resting just as much in the center of the room. Apparently, the lid in that coffin was too weathered to collapse.

Kuzel interprets it at will that he must have collapsed due to the faint vibrations he is walking in here. When I casually looked inside that coffin, there was something there to keep an eye on.

That's some kind of mummy. It's black as carburized. That's not something I feel good about watching.

Besides, it was mummified and it was something that no ordinary person could tell what kind of race it was in its lifetime. But Kuzel had only a little knowledge of this ruin.

(... this is the 'Kupidus'...)

That's a mysterious species now supposedly extinct. Little has shown its existence in the literature, and I never actually met or saw it in Kuzel, who lived long enough.

I knew they were the species who built this [Door Ruins], but what they built this stuff for, and why they're mummified here, etc, was sappy.

(Hmm? This is...)

What got into my eyes was a bunch of paper placed over that mummy's head. This one was faded enough to make you feel the year, but it didn't seem to have managed to weather completely.

The intrigued Xel worships one and then takes its bundle of paper.

Treat gently and be careful not to break down.

There it was written about the name of God they supposedly worshipped and the sword they supposedly built by that God.

"... Demon Sword...?

It was hard to read there but it did say so. And the name of that Demon Sword......

"... Sacrifice..."

I casually glanced at it with interest, and it was a failure to say the name again.

At the next moment, I feel the tough will I felt then again all over my body. At the same time, there is a dazzling light coming from your feet and a tremendous sense of weakness hitting your body. It was like something was sucking the power out of me.

"Shit............ this is!?

Then suddenly the mouth of the stone statue embedded in the wall moved and countless tentacles stretched out of it.

"Become!?

Jump off the spot unexpectedly. but for some reason the tentacles were stretching towards the coffin. If you think you stuck your tentacles in most of the coffins, every mummy coffin that would instantly be inside will be ashed and scattered.

You mean ashed and finished the role, tentacles piercing the other coffins one after the other.

And Kuzel attacked me, too.

I don't think it's a good idea, and when you back off the spot a lot, now the tentacles look confused as if you've lost your target.

(This is... hmm?

Looking at my feet, the ground wasn't glowing. Apparently the light was glowing to cover the place where the coffin was located, and the tentacles were acting only within that range.

(What the hell is this light...?

The arrow tip, whose tentacles now pull out the sword stabbed at the forehead of the stone statue, where the tentacles wrap their swords. It's like a cocoon.

"What the hell...?

I try to get an answer, I try to look through the paper to see if it says anything.

There was something amazing written there.

With that in his eyes, Kuzel thinks it's not a good idea to stay like this, and he puts his hand on a knife on his hips, kicks the earth, and instantly stuffs it to the present of the stone statue.

And I slashed the tentacles that were emerging from my mouth with that knife. A spooky green liquid is sprayed from the slaughtered area.

The cocoon, supported by the tentacles, falls straight to the ground.

But its tentacles are sucked into the sword as if absorbed. No, I'm covering that sword rather than absorbing it, changing its shape. Besides, at some point the light at my feet had also disappeared.

"Is this... Huh!?

I was also surprised that the sword I was supposed to build turned into an object with a distinctly different shape, but what surprised me more was that something like a creepy eye appeared at the root of that sword. Plus.

"Gahhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Kuzel didn't know what was going on anymore. Suddenly a loud laugh bursts from the sword. Again the sword-born eyes turn to Gyolo and Kuzel.

"Ho ho, next time Hatemeega use yi hand ka...... Zuibun poverty minister Soudaga...... Maaii......"

A laugh that makes you feel uncomfortable scratching that glass with your nails and a low, fear-provoking talk are directed at Kuzel.

"Saah, I wish you would listen to me. Temeeha," Nani, destroy Sitai?

This sword...... no, I intuit that objects are things that should not exist in this world. Kuzel has been acting fast since he felt that way.

When you take the knife out of your pocket, release it from your sheath and shake it beside your body.

Then a cut ran into the space, and the sword that was watching it also said, "Ah?" He spoke out wondering.

When you put the knife in your nose, you reach into a space with a slice. Then, to my surprise, Zubuzub and I sink my hands in the feeling as if they were burying their hands in the sand.

"What sitenda temeer?

Without answering that question, Xel is moving only the hand that sank into space without speaking his eyes out of the sword. It's as if you're looking for something.

"... there was"

Slowly Kuzel pulls his hand out.

But in his hand, a black sheath was gripped. The sheath was chain-wrapped and emitted a vivid atmosphere. The moment it's taken out, the gap in the space is beautifully repaired.

"What da?

To a sword that only speaks out, slowly approaching, Xel looks down with a strong expression.

"... I'm sorry, my child. I never thought this would happen."

Kuzel had a sad look on his face and dropped his sheath straight towards the sword.

"O, oitemeye what!?

The moment it touches the sheath, it emits a dazzling light and...

- - - There was a sword falling to the ground that fit in a black sheath.

The pattern and sheath are sturdy intertwined with chains and are treated so that they cannot be released.

Then Kuzel took the sword and entered the [Belial Sea] near it. I came because I heard that the ocean here was such a dangerous place that no one would come near it.

Kuzel dives straight into the sea, but he couldn't get much deeper into the current than he thought. But still, he decided he could have come far enough, and quietly let go of his sword to the bottom unseen sea.

Xel followed the scene, slowly but surely staring with a sad face at the sword sinking to the bottom of the sea.

I really wish I could have destroyed it, but when I shocked it badly I decided it was dangerous and decided to seal it somewhere no one could get close.

There are horrible monsters at the bottom of the ocean here, so even if we found out where the sword was, we wouldn't be able to pick it up.

(This is fine...... I'm not supposed to be in the world)

I was sad about the sword I had created becoming such a being, but I was still glad that I was put to rest.

(If you can, I want you to stay in the future forever, sleep in the sea)

Going up to land, Kuzel held hands together and quietly prayed.

The faces that were quietly listening to Kuzel were first heard by Lillin about the details of The Devil's Sword Sacrifice, which would naturally be in doubt.

"Look at this."

Upon Lillin's enquiry, Xell took a book out of the bag she had on the floor. They put it on my desk. Everyone stares at it and frowns.

"What is that...?

Naturally Lillin asks for an answer.

"This is an ancient document about Sacrifice that I found in [the ruins of the door]."

"An ancient document? Is that it?... Show me."

"Okay. But don't treat me like a mess."

When Lilyn receives the book, she rolls the cover. Then small "I see" overflows.

Sure, it looked like a book, but when I looked at it this way, that was exactly the file that Kuzel had carefully affixed to the paper every piece of the ancient document he found.

If I hadn't done this, I would have worn out and threatened to collapse. Looks like Kuzel was afraid to file and keep it.

But distorted as Lillin's face floated a question mark from the first page.

"... unreadable"

I couldn't decipher the words there at all. I could pick up meaning for pictures that are drawn everywhere, but I couldn't even understand them if I didn't know what they said.

"Lord Lillin, I want you to show me too"

When Yveam came beside Lillin, at the same time Akwinas and Marione had followed behind it.

"... this is..."

Yveam narrows his eyes as well, but he still kept his gaze down on whether it was a letter he didn't know.

"There's no reason why you can't read it either. The letters used there are not the" Lanaris Letters "currently commonly used in [Idea], but the" Ancient Yuegwan Letters ". Now it's already lost, because it's a letter used a long time ago."

Then Akwinas quietly grabbed the book, and stared at it with his red eyes,

"... this is definitely the Ancient Yuegwan Letters"

"Can you read it?

Kuzel immediately asks if he just couldn't hide his surprise. Others are waiting for Akwinas' response to send their gaze.

"Oh, just a little bit."

"Hung, you've lived a long time in vain."

the way Lillin describes it, including a slight grump,

"Nophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophophopho!

"So shut up! Doesn't that sound like you haven't learned enough about eagles!

What Akwinas knows but he doesn't, he just hasn't learned as knowledge. In other words, Lillin was not at heart calm as he seemed to have been compared to losing to Akwinas.

"And for now, Lord Kuzel, it says here about the Sacrifice that made [Shanjmon Cave] so much?

Yveam returns to speak and asks, and Xel answers it with a small jaw pull.

"Yes, at first I was stunned to see it in the ruins for the first time...... no, I even learned fear"

"Terror...?

"Yes, let me start by telling you about the abilities of Demon Sword Sacrifice that you would most like to hear about."

Kuzel, who received the book from Akwinas, explains it on his desk so that everyone can see it. Then roll some pages and stop your hand in a certain place. There was a painting of a sword in disastrous form.

Not a normal sword, but a prickly shape that froze the hour as it were with the flaming swings of hell. And at the root of the blade existed an eyeball that was also Xel's explanation.

"The Devil's Sword Sacrifice has the ability to destroy all things with the life force of the user as consideration"

"You think life force is a consideration?

Lillin frowns in surprise.

"Yes, the force of life is literally not the physical force commonly understood as the vital force placed here. In other words, it's like life expectancy."

"... does that mean cutting life itself?

"Definitely with that understanding"

"Did you have such a savage sword..."

So Yveam wondered,

"I'm sorry, Lord Kuzel, that means destroying everything, but it's a little vague and I can't grasp it..."

"Right. Simply put, in proportion to the vitality given to Sacrifice, whatever it is in this world… even if it is the power of illusion created by the Nucleus of the First Demon King…"

"Stupid! That's not true!

It was Marione who yelled at me.

"Those who can break through the illusion space created by the Nucleus of the First Demon King are the only dead first demon kings. You didn't even get your teeth in me or Akwinas! So much for the power of the First Demon King! You can't break your powers with a single sword! And why should the Kupidus produce such a sword!

The words alone give me a glimpse of the reputation of that prized marione enough to lift it that far. I guess that's all that was out of standard, the First Demon King.

"I can't help but believe it, but what I said is true. Besides, can you understand the relationship between the first demon king and the Kupidus?

Marione mumbles at the words, and Yveam looks at the order of Marione and Akwinas wondering if they are incomprehensible.

"At that appearance, apparently the Demon King doesn't know, do you mind if I talk to him?

Kuzel sends his gaze to Akwinas for endorsement. But when he shook his head small,

"No, I'll talk to you about the cause of both."

Apparently, Akwinas himself speaks of the abdomen. Everyone's gaze turns to him, and Akwinas begins to shake his lips.

"Long ago, Adams, who first named himself the First Demon King, was experiencing problems with the predisposition of one clan. The name of that clan is' Kupidus'. They were a minority, a race that had nothing to do with any other race at all. They were very quiet people."

"What's the problem with that? Seems unrelated to contention and so on, and I don't think I have a problem with my predisposition...?

Yveam says so, but Akwinas continues with his eyes closed.

"Yes, that's what everyone thought. But only one, Adams, was strangely uncomfortable with their existence."

"Uncomfortable?"

"That was just fine, enough for everyone to miss"

"... what the hell...?

"The eyes when they saw other races...... Adams, who saw those eyes, felt a slight demonic light in their eyes. It's like a predator's eye that looks down and then sees the eagle crawl to the ground"

"Well, that's..."

"No one noticed their eyes. Only Adams felt slightly uncomfortable with it and ordered the Valkyrians, whom he had previously spoken about but created himself, to investigate. Then something amazing came to light."

Yveam rattles his throat with gokuri.

"Investigate and see - - that many of their compatriots had been killed by their hands"

"Become!?

"Having found out about it, Adams decided to explore their trends in earnest by certifying that they were a dangerous race. So I found out about their racial characteristics and - the idea of being too vicious"

"Characteristics? Thoughts?

"Race traits, it's the nature of eating human flesh they prefer"

Was the shock of words unexpected? Yveam puts his hand on his mouth and fades blue.

"That you can also take in the characteristics of the prey you eat into yourself. That's how they ate a strong 'demon tribe' and enhanced their own existence"

"Oh no... I'm the same 'demon tribe'..."

"I don't know what they would do that for...... I knew they would also mouth food like regular 'demon tribes' would eat. That means he wasn't eating his countrymen without a choice to live. And that leads to their black ideas."

"Oh, yes, thoughts! What the hell is that idea?

Yveam also asks with a slightly excited look on his face.

"Thoughts, it's - - it's the resurrection of God"
