Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?

Elf's Inner Defense Battle ①

[Out-of-Conjunction Elf Faction]

For the elves, when they say what the most dangerous task is, most people will answer that it is a sentinel mission outside the junction that protects the inside.

The ties strewn inside have just never been broken in a long history, an absolute defense.

But that doesn't mean you're not on guard.

Even in normal times, the elves had placed soldiers for sentries outside the junction, making patrols such as whether there were any suspicions.

This mission is the most dangerous reason for an elf, because of a demon who lives outside the boundaries.

The demon's name is Queen Taratect.

A demon with mythical power, said to exist five bodies in the world.

One of them.

Queen Taratect lives in these woods.

That's right in the elf, too.

Queen Taratect produces demons of distribution by skill spawning.

Those demons obsessively aim for the elves, and they strike.

There is no such thing as its strength if it is a lower level one.

but a demon of the species Taratect, the strength jumps by evolution.

Evolved and adult, the Taratect species is a vicious monster comparable to the Dragon species.

In the woods outside the junction, taratect species, including such evolutionary individuals, lurk their breath.

Even lower-level individuals occasionally build nests, and sometimes even skilled elves can't escape when caught by this nest.

It's safe in the junction, but when you get outside it, it's a spider hunting ground.

The most dangerous place for an elf.

But now there was a different threat assembled outside the conjunction.

coalition of people.

An army centered around the Lengzant Empire.

Usually people lined up and waited on the spot where the Talatect species walked wide.

I don't see Taratect.

The elf expects that it was probably driven away by an army.

I don't think I can defeat Queen, but Queen doesn't really move herself.

I see it abandoned.

The existence that had threatened the elves until now was defeated by the existence that was currently threatening the elves.

The type of threat just changed, something that was unwelcome either way for the elves.

Elf monitors observe how that legion is doing.

Of note is the presence of the Magic Division, surrounded by strong protection and prepping for massive magic for several days now.

Elves with long life spans and deep intelligence naturally possess more than equal knowledge of skills to the people.

In light of that knowledge, it was an unknown magical construction that did not come to mind with the applicable magic.

The immensity of construction lightly transcends even the magic of the tactical class, which is said to be great magic, and boasts about twice as much beauty.

The prep period of a few days is also unusual.

I couldn't have predicted with the knowledge of the elves what would happen if all that enormous magic were activated.

The elf watchman managed to poke a gap and obstruct, or so he conceived.

But it never got transferred to execution.

The basic tactic in the Elf Forest is to climb a tree and expose its earthly opponents to magic and bows and arrows from above.

This forest of Gallum is narrower and more complex terrain than the flatlands because it is made of large trees and therefore has a wider spacing of trees than ordinary forests, but is still a forest.

It's a pretty difficult place to move an army, the march is really slow, and the line gets messy and sparse to avoid the trees that are obstacles.

If you get attacked from overhead there, it means you don't have one.

Elf's tactics are guerrilla warfare, he is familiar with the forest and trained specifically in its warfare.

While moving individually and in pieces, work together to hunt down the target.

The watchmen were also scattered to observe the legions from various angles.

The watchmen's necks fall at about the same time.

I don't understand what happened.

I don't even realize I'm dead.

"Ha. It's so easy to take your back off, no big deal about elves, huh?

It was one boy who dropped the elves' necks.

If the beholder saw it, he would have called the boy a ninja.

Black-covered with a knife at the waist.

I guess that knife dropped the elf's neck.

"That fucking thing pushed me, too."

A boy scratching his head looking bottomless.

The magic that was created over several days appears to activate in its eyes.

"You know, it's best to do it to Texto. It's a farce anyway."

A boy who wiped out scattered elves by himself at the same time.

He grinned bitterly when he saw magic clash into the junction, flexing and unnaturally cracking.

It looks as if magic broke because it hit the juncture.

but the boy doesn't miss the unnaturalness.

Something broke the line, apart from magic.

It looked that way to the boy, and the boy knows it does.

"So do you want to go? It's bad for Ken, but I'd rather spare my own life."

The boy looks down at the legions marching.

Like contempt, like looking down.

"This one did well, and the others will do well. I mean, is there anything that doesn't work, this?

The boy disappears into the woods in an easygoing manner.

And the demons that were lurking in the darkness, as followed by the boy, were also groping out.
