Kuro no Maou

Episode 21: Welcome to the Adventurer Guild! (1)

Sign up for the Alliance as an Adventurer!

And, I hope you don't mind, me and Lily's belly bug play a duet on the scent of a delicious looking meal that spreads into the Adventurer Alliance lobby.

"Make it dinner!

"Ugh!

Thus, the adventurer registration fell behind and we were to have lunch on our first dinner out.

Besides, just because the place is a place, sitting in the lobby is a guest and adventurer face, and you can see the noisy dressed guy with armor and weapons.

You're just such a fully armed customer and not full of it. Now would be a good time.

"Hmm, which would be better"

"Which one?"

I don't have a hard time reading the menu because I can read the letters and not just the words thanks to the modification, but I don't really decide because there are ingredient names and dish names that I don't know about.

Lily seems to have never seen anything like this before, and I'm not very familiar with the dishes, so we get together and it bothers my head.

However, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly weird about systems such as ordering, and if you decide on a menu, you'll just order from the clerk, but oh, speaking of which, what about chips?

"I'm sorry, can I order?

"Yes, yes, go ahead -"

So it's the cat waitress that runs the patter, or the cat itself.

It is a species called the Beast Man, covered with tri-haired cat patterned fur from the tip of the head to the toe, shaped close to both the face and the cat itself, but almost the same as a human being on bipedal.

But when you have hair like a human, your face looks people-like even in a cat at once, and you hold that feeling when you look at a semi-long hairstyle with a light brown.

"Er..."

It's rude to stare at it for now, so just order.

Once you have placed your order without delay,

"In total, it will be 520 silver."

It looks like a prepayment system here and they charge you.

From my nostalgia, I take out one sparkling golden coin.

"Excuse me, do you mind if I just have gold coins to hold now?

"Nha! It's one gold coin. Hey! Fine ~"

"So this is it."

I give a 500-yen gold coin to a palm with a cat's meatball.

"Maido, with 9480 silver for change."

Jalajara and his pockets wandered off, and he returned to me nine large silver coins and four small silver coins, and eight bronze coins that looked like ten yen balls.

I'm gonna stay a little while.

The cat waitress left to the back of the counter, waving her ears and tail just like when she came.

Phew, I got no problem ordering and paying, good.

"Still, you got a hell of a lot of money, well, it helped me without a sentence."

When I asked why I had such a fine thing as gold coins, I got it from the Mayor of Cione in the name of the reward for the goblin exorcism I did yesterday.

Together, it is equivalent to 20 pieces of gold coins and 200,000 yen converted into Japanese yen.

Me and Lily, who naturally don't carry wallets and stuff, throw all twenty pieces of gold into the shadows, well I'm absolutely certain of it as a way to store it.

The village chief also told me about the money in this country.

I thought it might be a barter economy in kind, but I felt secure that the currency was in circulation, it was hard to shop without it, and more importantly, I'm not used to it.

And all the currencies here are weighing currencies, made of three kinds of gold and silver copper.

Though not technically monetary, gold is used for large amounts, and silver is used for small amounts of less than or equal to one gold, as earlier.

My gold coin is worth one gold, in short, 10,000 yen.

The large silver coin I received for the change is 1,000 yen, the small silver coin is 100 yen, and the copper coin is 10 yen.

Since 1 gold = 1000 silver replacement ratio, the silver will be the unit equivalent to the Japanese yen.

In units of less than ten yen, there are two kinds of things: copper coins, or Edo-era bean sheet silver called small silver, both of which are of equal value, and copper coins seem to be used in guilds.

They also taught me to some extent about prices, but what the market is still a feeling I don't know if I actually shop.

I heard that the price of the guild meal is basically common to all guilds, so it would be an approximation of the price of the meal.

If the price of lunch is 520 yen for both of us, not 520 silver, then the price is quite low compared to Japan, at least about half of the time when it comes to meals.

At the end of the day, 200,000 yen or 20 gold is more than a month's worth of farmers living in the village of Iles.

Suddenly I got a little stuck getting enough money to play and live for a month, but when I asked my guild for a goblin exorcism of that magnitude, or just the villagers, they said it would be a very sorry amount for 20 gold.

This is where we got both, and this is where the story got caught up.

Finally, the only evidence of the achievement of the Goblin exorcism is Lily's testimony, because the fairy seems to be of a nature not to lie badly, so the fairy's testimony has tremendous credibility, and of course some parts of Lily are trusted.

The dish I ordered arrives at us thinking about such a cot.

I can lose my temper to think any further in front of hot dishes that raise hot air, such as talking about small, difficult money.

Me and Lily stuck to the dish in front of us at the same time as "I'll have it".

Yes, the culture of "Here you go" and "Welcome" is common in Japan and Pandora.

"Yummy! This mysterious meat called Dortos is delicious!

"Yummy!"

Flatten dishes of unknown ingredients without hesitation.

Finishing the dish, this takes another breath, sipping tea with unknown tea leaves.

"Huh, it was delicious -"

Lily's tea looked like tea, but this one looks like wheat tea, so it's totally different.

I'll sign up for an adventurer when I get a little more settled in there, too, though I almost forgot.

"Yes, Lily, listen to me when you get home today."

"Talking about Chrono?

"The village chief was deluded to have come from a distant hometown in an accident, but only Lily wanted to hear the truth."

"Oh, yeah, finally!

"Thanks, Lily and I are going to be dating for a long time.

Well, then I'm gonna go do a little adventurer registration. "

"Yeah! Come on in!

Lily with a smile dropped me off, and I took a seat.
