Kuro no Maou

Lesson 53: Commander-in-Chief of the Crusades

Under a starry sky full of heaven, Chrono and Saliel confront each other on the walls of Daedalus.

Chrono even forgets the cold sweat feeling that flows out, facing Saliel from the front so as to shelter Lily, who is delivered to the hood.

"Chrono Mao"

I haven't been called for a long time, no, for the first time in this other world, Chrono was called by his full name.

If all the crucifix followers are spinning their names in the beauty of Sariel, which is certain to be heard, it only sounds like the whisper of Reaper to Chrono.

The vague anxiety about the occupation of Daedalus by the Crusaders was cured by Lily, but the specific crisis looming right in front of him aggravates Chrono's heart once again.

Still, the presence of Lily under her neck worked a thought circuit that strived to grasp and open the status quo.

Krono thinks that the fact that he called his name by state does not seem like a situation where he would be killed without question.

"What were you doing here?

Asked again.

Chrono, who can only think of the worst end to a horn on a rabbit if he doesn't answer here, whether it's instant death if he answers it, was already half abandoned.

"Tourism, the Great Wall of Daedalus is famous."

"Really? But you should stop now."

I was surprised that the only answer I could believe was that I believed Chrono's joke, but I thought it was just a shame that it wasn't returned with a white pile that pierced the shield easily, and I didn't think deeply about it.

"That's bad, I'm glad you're going home as adults as you are?

"Go ahead."

With even more incredible answers coming back, Chrono also opened his eyes to the boulders, who had previously managed not to break his expression.

"Are you sure?

"Go ahead."

Chrono glances at Sariel's expression but is as utterly faceless as he was when he first met him.

Probably run away like this and Zdon from behind! Chrono thinks it doesn't look like he's going to get stuck.

I also think that Sariel is not going to kill us on this occasion.

"... can I ask you something?

I wanted to get out of this place right now, but if Sariel didn't want to kill me, Krono thought this was a chance to get some information.

Krono knows nothing about the Crusades, and in the first place, he doesn't even know that the army led by Sariel is named the 'Crusaders'.

"What is it?

And Saliel answered.

"Why did you come to Pandora?

"The Lord, the White God, greeted this land, and therefore we, the Crusaders, have come to offer it."

"You mean the missionary activity of a religion with that cross?"

"Yes, it will result in the conversion of everyone living on the Pandora continent to the Crucifixion"

Krono suspected that a crusade to the Crusades, finally a Christian group, perhaps a state called the Sinclair Republic, and a crucifixion are almost equal-bound relationships, in short, a religious state.

And I also thought it was the same pattern of colonization that starts with Christian missionary activity.

"Do you have any idea what your actions will do?

"Yes, a lot of blood has already flown, it will continue"

"You're not going to leave?

"Until the Lord wants it"

Chrono exhaled one thing.

Sariel's answer was predictable, even without asking.

In short, they are not willing to retreat, and those who resist will kill mercilessly.

"Is the king of Daedalus dead?

"Yes, I did."

What was a shock to Chrono was that Sariel had the power to kill just enough dragons to say with everyone's mouth together that it wasn't the death of a faceless dragon king, "you can't possibly lose".

"Then what happens to Daedalus now"

"I will grant all Daedalus' territory."

"You?

Sariel did say "I", not "we".

Krono assumed that Sariel would be great but a soldier.

But from this mouthfeel, I get the answer that it is an error.

And then Saliel releases the word affirming it.

"I am the Commander-in-Chief of the Crusades."

Krono understood, that she was the general who led the Crusades, the top.

"Right..."

Chrono turned his heels back and turned his back on Sariel, while at the same time holding Lily down with both hands, who did not make it slight with his hood.

While feeling Sariel's gaze on her back, Chrono crouches down and hugs Lily.

"Huh!?

To a sudden embrace, Lily unwittingly gives a surprise, but Chrono whispered in that little ear, regardless.

"Lily, tell Mayor Sione everything you've just heard"

"Huh?"

Lily felt the great fear and sorrow that swirled in her chest as she listened to Chrono, and the ‘readiness’ to cover it up forcefully.

"Chrono-"

Chrono, who senses that Lily has spotted his heart, holds Lily again.

"- No!!

"Thanks for everything, Lily. Goodbye."

Chrono held Lily's back with his left hand and threw her all he could from the top of the castle wall straight into the woods.

"Chrono."

Throwed at a tremendous rate, Lily automatically perceives her danger and flies through the night sky, covering her whole body with a sphere of light Sirled characteristic of the fairy, pulling her white, shining tail.

"I'm sorry, Lily."

'Black Barista Replica' is already gripped on Chrono's right hand, who shrugged so.

Chrono waved a pitch-black tact toward Sariel, who still felt his gaze.
