Kuro no Maou
Episode 163: Trustworthiness to the Brave
Elision, the Holy Capital, the political, economic, religious and all center of the Sinclair Republic.
St. Elysion's Cathedral, the main mountain of the Cross Church, boasting a pure white beauty as spectacular as if it were a symbol of the glory of the White God, two supreme powers in the Cross were in close contact in one room once located deep in it.
Contrary to the exterior of the cathedral, the room is merely surrounded by clean white painted walls that are not stained. However, it is built to retain confidentiality by all physical and magical means.
It would be a more appropriate place for these two most important people to meet in secret.
"It's been a long time since we got to our seats alone."
Simple as the room, but with a heavy built elbowed chair sitting on his back, is an old man carving a deep wrinkle of age on its white fine surface with a soft grin.
He is the 'Pope' Alexandros XI, who reigns at the apex of these far more than 100 million crucifixionists.
"Sudden visit, please forgive me, Pope."
A low voice that makes a firm and cold impression is a tall, tall young man who just reaches two metres into a tight body.
The proud yet sharp contour of the giant body, the high nose at the mouth, which is riddled and drawn together, and the deep face of its sculpture are ideal constructions that combine masculine beauty with success.
Particularly eye-catching among them would be eyes of different shades, left and right.
His odd-eyed insists on a tremendous presence, although clear silver hair is slightly longer as a man and his forehead is covered all over his eyes.
The eyes on the left are black reminiscent of the dark night, and the eyes on the right are pale reminiscent of the clear sky.
None of the few humans with eyes of different colours, left or right, have a colour combination such as to represent this day and night, except him.
Before such a young man with two and no appearance, Pope Alexandros opened his mouth in all his ridiculous ways.
"I don't care about anyone's eyes right now, so why don't you stop talking like that?"
The young man who overheard that dialogue slipped back to his face-to-face seat, as if he had blown the Pope up to the moon, such as courtesy to be in front of him.
"Well, Alex, I'm still not used to talking to you in honor."
Until then, the young man, who had not broken his puppet-like face, smiled at Russia and spoke in a friendly tone as if talking to his best friend for a decade.
"Ha ha, you can still admit as much as you want for more than twenty years as pope"
The Pope, nicknamed by the youth, changed the quality of his expression from a serene face for the faithful to a grin seeping through some childish atmosphere.
"It's been so long, I can still only think of the face of the Crosslay shitty bitch laughing high when it comes to the Pope"
For the first time in a long time, Pope Alexandros, who had already heard the name of his late predecessor, once again realized something called the speed with which time flowed, along with a bitter laugh.
"If I were to say that, I'd only think of you as the White Brave, Abel."
"Give me a break, he's so young..."
A young man with an expression of hatred, he is the Second Apostle Abel that is the summariser of the Twelve Apostles.
More than half of the apostles would be stunned to see him change his expression so abundantly, even though he would not normally expose his face with a deep white hood and seldom with a chilling attitude.
"The legend of the brave Abel is known throughout the Ark, rather than in the Republic, and now there is something to hide."
If Alex asks if that would be more embarrassing,
"No, my role is over, I'll leave it to the younger ones."
The old soldier just leaves, he just returns it.
But Abel continued her words, turning her expression into something cold that usually floats.
"Apparently, it's not going to be that wacky yet"
Alex, too, squeezed his face seriously in the words.
"Well, that's what we're talking about today"
Ask what happened to direct access,
"I have been entrusted, and a demon king will be born."
Alex opened his eyes in amazement at Abel's words, to which he replied quietly.
"The demon king? I've never heard of such an ominous trust."
Never heard of it, the word 'demon king' itself applies.
It shows the implication that ‘demons’ are evil in the first place, which is why non-human species living on the Pandora continent are summed up and called ‘demons’ in disdain.
In the human-centered Arc continent, such as the existence of a king bearing the word 'demon', which includes such a contempt, there is no one else who tries to name himself in the first place.
Therefore, "Demon King" is not a real person whose name will be in history, but is only spoken of in the miga of the last defeat by the brave man of light chosen by God.
"I don't know much about it either, but if you're serious..."
The 'Demon Nation’ already exists, then the Demon King is nothing more than a person who can unite his Demon Nation.
"But the Pandora continent is disturbed by nations large and small, and there are no forces other than ours that can unite?
The Pope has, of course, never visited the continent of Pandora, but he has also been instructed by God to conquer it immediately, and the situation has often been heard of.
As far as I could hear it, I could only assume that it was a savage warring age of hordes, as in the ancient history of the Ark continent.
"No, the one who will be united will appear, but therefore ‘demon king will be born'"?
To Alex, who immediately responded to the question, Abel expressed her willingness to affirm.
"I'm the only one who's received this trust so far."
"Um, I certainly didn't give you a divine commission to that effect in the last ‘ritual’ either, I haven't heard of any other priests receiving such a divine commission either, including me"
The shrine moves on as‘ what was there 'already.
Alex has no doubt that Abel could be lying or paranoid. No, no one living in the Republic can have it.
Because, although he is an apostle, he is therefore never allowed to deceive the name of God.
"God seems to nominate me, I'm still not sure what I'm asking for, but I'm not going to do it."
Oh, man, but he exhales one little sigh with a freaking look.
‘I am not sure about the demands’ of the divine trust, which is a holy miracle, etc., is not a permissible statement by the Crusaders, but it was a permissible statement because it is an apostle of being much closer to God than man.
"So you're going to Pandora?
"After preaching to the three fools who have not yet returned from the depression of tourism in Daedalus."
Three fools are the third, eleventh, and twelfth apostles who truly travelled to Saliel's visit.
Most importantly, Alex understood that the Third Apostle, Mikael, was long too late to provide educational guidance as an apostolic predecessor, even if Abel did not say so.
Even such a handy apostle would be in trouble if he were not to stay for the defense of the Holy City of Elysion.
If they leave Elysion until the Second Apostle Abel before they return, only the Fifth Apostle Johannes and the First Apostle of the ‘Legend’, who do not know if they will appear.
Already the Fourth Apostle Judah has secretly disappeared again and travelled somewhere, it is impossible to recall him now.
Therefore, Abel cannot leave Elysion for security reasons until the return of the three apostles.
But Alex opened his mouth with the kind of face he said was funny about the fact that Abel would soon go from Elysion to the demonic dominated continent of Pandora.
"Hmm, well, the opening of a new legend of the brave Abel, something like that"
It was not until about twenty years ago that the Second Apostle Abel left Elysion, after a massive invasion by heathens in the east, which took place within the Republic.
But for Alex, no matter who the opponent is and where he goes, he places enormous trust that 'White Brave' Abel could not be defeated, so even if he decides to go to the Pandora continent, which is half the enemy land, this is how only a dialogue emerged that would tear him up.
"I'm not kidding, I'm just gonna come around and come back."
"In the end, then, will the Demon King be born?
Abel laughs bitterly but affirms.
"We don't have any clues, and we're not sure if we're really in the Pandora continent in the first place, we probably won't be able to find it"
It is hard to believe that anything is present on the Pandora continent, such as the obvious demon king who, on the throne of a disastrous castle floating in darkness, awaits with a fierce looking big man dressed in a dark costume laughing high.
"Trust and not absolute, you know that well too"
The Demon King expects to be on the continent of Pandora, and because he went there, he is led by destiny, but as if, "You are the Demon King! I don't even think that Alex, as Abel put it, can fulfill a miracle encounter that allows him to throw up the dialogue.
A divine trust is by no means a destiny to which divine demands and successes have been promised.
As a believer I will strive to achieve that, but whether or not I can fulfill it is yet another matter, as the Pandora invasion was about to be abandoned.
"Perhaps the Demon King will be born to be born.
With the fall of Daedalus, the countries of the Continent of Pandora recognize the Crusaders as clear enemies, in which case there may be no possibility to unite and turn to the offensive "
There is a basement where the countries intruding into the Pandora continent come together, given that, the birth of the Demon King is convincing as a natural stream.
"But yes, it won't work that well, how many countries are there in Pandora? How many species are there? If we want to rule them all, it's impossible without absolute power."
Only one thing we add, except for the glory of God.
"Whatever it is, it will be realistic to work out countermeasures after the demon-like show up"
Still, I have to go to Pandora, but Abel tells me it's going to be a pain in the ass.
"Shall we then inform the Crusaders to look for the Demon King or find signs of it?
"No, the scene will be chaotic, plus you'll get all the reports with less credibility than rumors, until a little more information is finalized, at least until the next commissioning comes down, it's enough for me to move alone"
Although the movement of the Second Apostle himself is not synonymous with the movement of 10,000 troops, Alex dares not say so.
"Yes, okay, let's make arrangements to cross to Pandora."
"I'm sorry for so many times."
I secretly let all three apostles cross to the Pandora continent for personal reasons, but I would not have expected Abel to take care of them until today.
"That's it, then, let's say we return to each other's duties, Holiness of the Pope"
Thus, Abel urges the earlier exit, once as a courtesy to the Pope, who is positioned above the Apostle.
"Um, it's been a long time since I've had the pleasure of exchanging words, I've been reminded of the old days.
Good journey, Second Apostle, Lord Abel. "
That being said, Pope Alexandros XI flipped a pure white coat of law and left the room behind with a grand walk that did not make him feel old.
Abel, who dropped him off, stood up,
"After all, the legend of Abel the Brave won't end until you've called the Demon King."
Yes, he leaked a small grunt to tell himself.
