Kuro no Maou
Episode 263: Living Dead and Destiny Ceremony
It is Lily and Fiona's common concern that there are not enough people.
We need human life itself, not in the labour-force sense of being understaffed.
To carry out human experiments that do not know when or when the fruits will be fruitful, while the other, to sacrifice until a whimsical evil god or demon intends to grant protection.
Although it is an outrageous and outward destination far from common sense, it was also an indisputable fact that it was the surest and shortest way to gain ‘new power’ for both of us.
"In the meantime, you can't work in a sparda, can you?"
Lily, who sat a little on a wooden chair used in the classroom, says as she bluffs the feet of a short child who can't reach the floor.
"Right."
Fiona also agrees to sit on the bed, which she had been waiting to play with until recently.
It has become an implicit understanding for both of us that we do not want Chrono to know the humanely unacceptable acts that should be said neither to say nor to risk this man's life.
Lily's human experiments, in particular, conjure up memories of an abominable past that should also be called the root of Krono's resentment of the Crusaders.
I don't know if Chrono will show Lily his understanding of doing exactly the same thing as the white researchers who forced him to experiment with humans.
"My living dead--"
Yes, so Lily has already decided to finally achieve her purpose and make herself and her memory erased and manipulated as she wishes a human being a 'living dead', a call that misleads her into a 'necromancy' by calling her a living corpse.
"Corpse Psychiatrist (Necromancer)" is a publicly recognized class, if you think that's what Chrono is, you won't take it away and put it on your ass. Only if you think Lily's manipulating is not a living person, just a corpse.
"- I knew I'd have to try a few dozen more, and the 'thought controller (angeling)' would have to be improved for me one by one"
"You showed that ring to Mr. Simon, are you okay?
That's a worry about whether or not it leaks from Simon's mouth to Chrono, and never takes Simon's personal mood into account.
Fiona is not as neglectful of elf alchemists as Lily, but she is not particularly fond of them, is the expression acquaintance closer than a companion or friend?
Although we live under one roof, we do not necessarily need to get along, being indifferent to each other is not one way to live a smooth life together.
"It's all right, 'cause I'm stopping right, and that kid's not stupid either"
Although Lily has one-sided feelings for Simon, who singles out Chrono's intellectual curiosity, that's why he wasn't as emotional as denying all of his existence.
I'm still going to be judging Simon's abilities objectively on my own. And as a result, he decides he is wise in character to the extent that he avoids useless trouble.
Perhaps Simon also understands very well the dangers of Chrono and Lily making a difference.
"I must admit you're smart, rather than stupid. You've already analyzed the Thought Controller."
"In a little over a week, you analyze a chunk of the Republic's highest precision magic circuit, isn't it amazing?"
Honestly Fiona praises Simon for his accomplishments.
That seemingly simple accessory ring, but it incorporates some advanced magic that completely dominates every human being inside it.
And it shouldn't have to be one or two of the very magic formations to form it, every single one of the countless fine parts that you would do when you disassemble it would have some sort of surgical engraving without leakage, and even for the parts themselves, there must be a magical meaning to everything from shape to placement.
"I haven't been able to figure it all out in the boulder, but it seems like a lot of parts incorporate magical manoeuvres that aren't here."
"Still, you can sort the decipherable parts, right?
"Yeah, you're right, for the indecipherable part, it also speculated on the function, heh, I haven't done more work than I expected."
Apparently Simon, aside from his personal mood, is the type of job he takes is serious enough to finish the dot.
And since that is made up of geniuses who have launched a legend of three consecutive full entrance exams since the beginning of the Royal Seminary of Sparda, this perfect job may well be taken for granted.
Most of all, it can be said that Simon's magical knowledge is superior to combat to these technical systems, and the factors that made this job possible.
"I've learned a lot, for example, that the memories of the wearer are sealed rather than erased."
"I see... so Mr. Krono can still have memories of another world called Nihon."
Previously there had been only fragmentary information read from Cypriot memory, but thanks to Simon's progress in analyzing it, various functions and structures had been discovered, to the point where it could be deduced what that meant.
There is also a fact to be found from the fact that Lily chose a sealing method rather than erasing the memories she gave to the analogy.
"Yes, this ring is sealed. It's a pain in the ass. It's a delicate way to do it. I mean, there's Chrono now."
"But then why didn't you bother erasing your memory?"
When it comes to manipulating a human being, it is nothing but disturbing the person's memory.
The sealing and erasure of memory is fundamentally separate.
No matter what happens to the eraser, the memories will never return, but the seal can be remembered without any problems once the technique is lifted.
And it is evident in the form of chrono escape that if memory returns to the mundane clap in proceeding with brainwashing, it will greatly interfere with the experiment.
Regardless, the researchers who called the danger a 'white miracle' could not have come up with it.
Lily knows from the memories she reads that it is not a small or medium sized research organization or anything like that they grate around, but a major research institute with talented people on magic.
Most importantly, if you don't, if you look at the precise structure of the Thought Controller (Ensel Ring), you will instantly see that it is not a great deal of magic and technology that creates this.
"Why didn't you erase your memories, because you wanted to be the perfect doll to replace a human being?"
If you're just talking about manipulating a person's body, there's already a variety of magic, starting with summoning (samon) and necromancy (necromancy), and it's not that difficult.
But it is not for the most part in parallel to create a being that can move exactly like someone who acts autonomously.
Tracing the exact same movements as one soldier, such as labor and combat in addition to diet, excretion and sleep, cannot be made without an operator who sequentially orders those actions.
Think for yourself, act for yourself, it is possible only with instincts that have excelled reason, but it is an instinctual fall in being such an animal or less.
"In order to allow for complete autonomous action, we must take the time to sequentially seal the memory and, at the same time, proceed with the personality modification in parallel"
Creating a puppet that merely answers an order is not so difficult for The White Miracle.
If you completely erase your memory and personality and incorporate a pseudo-personality made up of magic circuits, that's it.
It won't take as long as it took for Chrono to escape, if he had taken that method, the number of the experiment would have reached ten, ten thousand, instead of a hundred stations by now.
But what was produced in such a mass-producible manner would not move in any way unless the operator ordered it, and that is what can only be the existence of less than the creature that should be called truly a doll, without even taking the action of self-preservation according to instinct.
"The experimental troops we encountered in the streets (Handled Numbers) said they had an extraordinarily greater range of possible autonomous actions than they had in the early days, although they still required an overall supervising surgeon"
If the experimental body is completed in a true sense, even its leader can replace the experimental body.
Cyprus, a member of the researcher, was there because, as an operator, he could not carry out the advanced order that the experimental unit would serve for a long time under the guise of a mercenary.
Most of all, I can hardly say that I can completely disguise myself in the appearance of an experimental body that doesn't speak very much and doesn't even expose my emotions.
"What they're after with this is the creation of a complete artificial life form - no, reincarnating humans into their flesh."
"Are you saying that sealed memories were supposed to be reused as essential ‘parts’ that would allow autonomous action, after the formation of a complete obedient personality"
"It won't completely revive your memory, though. It feels like you need as much as you need. Well, that's also where it's hard to add or subtract a teaspoon inside."
Lily, who says somewhere else like HR, apparently predicts that the experimental body is still far from seeing true completion.
Until you can show joy and sorrow, get into meaningless chatter, and sometimes yell at boredom, ‘act’ no different from such a normal human being, you can't say it's a hopeful observation, though, that if you think about the state of the experimental body at the moment, you'll still need considerable improvement.
"But Mr. Lily, isn't it impossible to use such advanced magic here?
"Oh, it's okay there, 'cause all I want is a puppet."
The "White Mysteries" are distressing over time because there is a supreme proposition to allow perfect autonomous action that does not require an ordering operator.
How mass-produced a doll soldier is a useless long object that can't replace a statue without a manipulator to manipulate it.
Besides, not everyone can be called this sorcerer, at least not without a good sorcerer familiar with magic like Cyprus.
"If only there were a doll who would faithfully carry out my orders, you wouldn't have to do anything difficult to act autonomously."
"I see. Is it a total substitute for necromancy?"
That's why Lily has no problem wiping out the manipulative human memory altogether.
The necromancer starts by preparing a corpse to be me.
Lily, on the other hand, has collapsed both her memory and her personality. Prepare a human being that is infinitely closer to a corpse, but ‘alive’.
Lily therefore calls under the name 'Living Corpse (Living Dead)'.
"I don't need the most precise and complex part of the memory seal and new personality formation in the Thought Controller (Enseling), this is simply the original pseudo-personality formula, and the storage of the doll is fine if you apply the summons as it is."
Where are the monsters calling in summoning (samon) in the first place? There is a problem.
The location of this serving monster has long been a problem plaguing the Summoners.
The old summoner (Summoner) was always the standard, commonly referred to as the tutor (Tamer) and regarded as the same.
Alternatively, some incorporated the advanced method of literally calling in 'summonses' from ranch-like establishments, but it was very partial.
However, a groundbreaking method has finally been discovered, the use of "Spatial Magic (Dimension)".
In the Tutor (Tamer) method, even small monsters that can be taken are limited to a few, and if they become large, it takes a lot of effort to walk as a whole.
So, by throwing monsters into this space magic (dimension), they always zeroed in the effort and expense involved in walking with them.
Regardless, the interior of spatial magic (dimension) is basically a vacuum state, or the interior space varies depending on the attributes that make it up, but it is hard to say that whatever it is, it is the right environment for the organism to survive.
When you put it in storage, you use the magic of putting the service monster in a state called 'Temporary Death (Cold Sleep)'.
Thanks to this, the style of summoning the necessary number of monsters at the time of need, which the summoner has been aiming for many years, has finally been established.
Of course, not unlimited space can be created with space magic (Dimension), but with the combined use of magic equipment (Magic Items) for personal effort and talent, it is also possible to store a few large monsters, and the required volume is fully secured.
Incidentally, the necromancer (Necromancer) used spatial magic (Dimension) from the beginning, only manipulating the body originally, and it can be taken for granted that it is a matter of substance.
In fact, the most revolutionary magic would be this' state of pseudo-death (Coldsleep) '.
"Besides, if the telepathic communication device is replaced with my unique magic (extra), the structure of the ring can be simplified more."
"I see you're thinking a lot."
"But if you don't, you can't mass-produce the rings. You don't know how much it'll take to build them."
However simplified, it is no different that it is a magic device (magic item) that has the effect of manipulating people. If you want to prepare it in large quantities, you need the corresponding funds.
But that ‘corresponding funding’ would be within reach of being able to raise its own.
If it's the Practically Rank 5 Adventurer Party 'Element Master'.
"Well, simplification doesn't mean we're going to need a huge number of experiments they want to see, and, you know, I don't think we're going to be able to keep them within a hundred.
So, what about you?
Lily asked Fiona if she had finished explaining this.
"What do you say?"
"How much sacrifice do you need? That's the story."
Lily thinks it's possible to procure the number of experiments she needs on her own, but if Fiona's number is in thousands, how can it be done on her own?
That is what will have to be founded even in cult organizations offering sacrifices.
"Honestly, I don't know either."
What we know for sure is that God did not respond to his request in the number of fewer than twenty men he dedicated that day.
"Wake up saying you're ritualizing without really knowing what it is yourself?
Lily with a slightly frightened jitty eye, whose eyelids are similar to the white pun she is wearing.
"The ritual itself, which is written in this, is a kind of beating that you don't know which god will respond to, so you have no choice."
This, of course, is a forbidden book brought out by Fiona from the Great Library, A Sign to the Palace of Ten Thousand Demons.
Among the many abominable rituals noted there, Fiona chose the
"Oh, I see, 'Destiny Ceremony'"
"You know very well"
"It's often used in creative stories, but I don't know how to do it."
This method known as the "Fate Ceremony" means that even the person who performs the ritual does not know which God will grant him protection.
Originally, protection is obtained by choosing the God you want and challenging various trials and rituals so that it can be obtained.
If you are a fairy, you seek 'Fairy Queen Iris'; if you are a knight, you seek 'Dark Knight Freesia'; and if you are a demon king who rules over all of Pandora, you seek 'Demon King Mia Ellord'.
But destiny ceremonies do not choose the God that a man wants, but God chooses a man.
Those who do this method will have a variety of circumstances, those who have tried to acquire numerous protections but have torn them, or who have the idea that the protections of the God they want were not a test that could be truly cleared, some of them people choose God, etc., will also choose this.
If God appeared to bring tremendous power of protection to him because he was, it would be just as fateful, and I could see several stories of such dramatic developments in Lily's reading of the holdings left by the forest magician.
"But even in the same fateful ceremony, depending on the art of exercising, God's preferences and attributes are determined to some extent, right? If it's the type of sacrifice you've made, there's no doubt that only evil gods or demons descend."
"Mr. Lily, do you think that I, the witch, will gain the protection of the god of goodness?
If we were to apply good and evil to the very existence of God, from a crucifixive point of view, we would be cut off as "evil gods" for everything but "white gods".
But in Pandora's view of the coexistence of numerous gods to be called polytheistic, God's good and evil are judged by what legend his God struck in his lifetime, by his story.
If there were a hero who defeated a vicious dragon and saved his country, he would undoubtedly be a good God who protects people.
Conversely, if this disputed vicious dragon also became a god again, it would become an evil god who would bring disaster to the people.
If Fiona is truly named a class of witches, it does not simply mean a woman who exercises magic, it is nothing more than a witchcraft woman who confuses people, drives them crazy, falls into, leads them to ruin, as told in more stories than in ancient times, or a villain who uses evil secrets that stand before brave men, who call themselves such beings.
And she could say that by performing the ritual of sacrifice, she definitely set out on such a path to 'evil'.
"That's what you meant when you decided to be ready"
"There seemed to be a sense of justice and ethics in the crowd, too."
Fiona responded with a faint smile.
"If you can just throw that away and you can get the power, I'll throw it away and show you how much it costs."
Nothing else, for Chrono's sake.
Needless to say, to Lily, I only passed it on to Lily.
"You can't afford anything more than choosing the means, heh heh, good luck."
Lily, who laughs and praises in a flamboyant manner, can be said to be an unparalleled understander for Fiona today.
The nature of the two is pointing in exactly the same direction, for Chrono's sake, I don't hate to do any evil with that word, so pure and cruel ready.
Both Lily and Fiona choose who ‘may die', such as a bandit, because that is the most beneficial thing to do in acting.
The biggest downside to putting ordinary people in your hands is that Chrono grieves; secondly, he risks being chased by the Knights as a criminal; and I guess it's a little pathetic to sacrifice the innocent, which is the third reason he should be given first.
Conversely, if Chrono can accomplish enough to tolerate it and compensate for the risk of being arranged as a criminal, the two of them will not quit putting their hands on the average person either, severing it from the necessary sacrifices.
The biggest obstacle to preventing these two from running into a mockery assault is that they have already only been put to justice by Chrono.
"But if you want evil gods, be careful with yourself."
"No, I'm sure that's okay."
Fiona responds with a voice full of certainty somewhere.
"As long as I am a witch, the devil's god will always respond to my demands - because that's what the teacher said"
Lily understood at this time that it was already included in Fiona the Witch's training, seeking evil protection in a fatalistic ceremony.
