Kuro no Maou

Episode 331: Ischia Ancient Castle Defense Battle

The sound of a spectacular battle played by people and demons echoes amidst the dusty rain that began to fall at the same time as the night dawned.

An old firm castle standing on a hill. Three hundred students from the Royal Spartan Seminary, a young elite responsible for the future Spartan army, stand up.

Without surprise or oddity, it is just a mixed army of monsters gathered from the Ischian hills that strikes from the front to the castle. That number, unknown.

Siege battles have begun due to an overwhelming battle power difference that is not nearly triple, and the castle's fate is a lightning before the wind.

"Whoa, whoa! Flash (slash)!

Cavalier boy Eddie rolls out a long sword and cuts off an oak that tries to climb the walls and finally make its way into the castle.

Just as he rode out his upper body to the aisle side in an attempt to overcome the walls, the oak, deeply torn through his chest by martial arts, was to return freely on the path he had originally come.

"Shenna! This place is already fucked!

"Where can I retreat from saying that - 'Wind Blade (Ale Sagitta)'!

Shenna, an eyeglass magician girl, shoots attack magic under her eyes as she flicks her pale green offering hair.

The aim is goblins who dare to wall climb diligently as they feed their sharp nails into the gaps in the stone walls.

The goblin, torn from arm to arm by the blade of the wind, fell upside down as it involved the fellow following it.

"Get out of here! No more walls! Down to the castle!

It was Prince Wilhardt Tristan Sparda II, the general who shouts his voice desperately, who answers the question as to where he will flee.

I don't have enough manpower to give a satisfactory transmission already. The Admiral himself seems to be rushing around on the walls and telling them to the ends of the troops.

"In the castle... this is finally over"

There are now two things stopping the invasion of the monster: an empty moat with no water tension and a wall now standing on this spot.

Just half an hour after the start of the battle, the moat folds to fill with monster carcasses, and this vertically soaring castle wall is just as insurmountable now.

Only the building 'Heavenly Guard', which should also be called the main body of the castle, will remain.

If the walls are broken in the first place, the castle is already synonymous with the fall.

The last evil ascension, such as standing in Heaven's Watch - but it was also true that there was no choice but to do so because of the war situation.

"Don't give up, Shenna! We can still fight, we'll figure it out!

But it's not like there's no hope.

Wing Road may defeat Gleedgore even at this moment, and the elite knights of Sparda may rush us.

That seems to be why the students are fighting together.

Even if you are in this desperate predicament.

"Oh, isn't it my knights Eddie and Shenna there? Can't you ask for an escort for a while?

Wilhardt, who found the two men nominally forming as direct units, rushes over with an inquiry that neither orders nor requests.

"Roger, my lord!

"But what's been a while?

Eddie the instant answer and Shenna the question back.

"This is the last place the North Defense Tower will pass on the withdrawal order. But the monster is already climbing above the walls, it's too dangerous for me to make my way alone."

"Can it just be the two of us?

"I can't follow any more soldiers. Let's hurry!"

Flushing a thin dirty red cloak with mud and rain, Wilhardt rushes out ahead.

"... you don't really know if he's hectic or gutsy."

Bosoli and Shenna tell a secret story.

Just before the battle, Wilhardt exposed himself so unusual that he did not think he was the same prince compared to Nero.

After all, I thought it was something that demanded an excessive escort to protect myself, and I say, well in view of the war situation, it's good at the very least.

Wilhardt, the unpopular prince since the seminary began, is not sure about Shenna.

Is he a bad prince as rumored or is he not as bad as they say he is?

"I can believe it. More than that scurvy Prince Nero thing."

Surprisingly, Eddie affirmed Wilhardt's support.

I wasn't in a situation where I could afford to ask in detail why I could say all that.

"Shenna!"

"I know. Yikes!

Forward, multiple goblins appear as they surmount the walls and descend into the aisle.

Running sword flashes, flashing wind blades - distracted by it, and a glimmer of fire flashed.

"Phew, stand in front of me, fool, repent at the bottom of the Dark Underworld, but good"

The rifle in Wilhardt's hand, from its muzzle, even stands up thin with the nitrous smoke from the firing.

The bullet unleashed had certainly not shot the whole of the goblin that had popped out into the aisle, leading to death.

Highly speaking the voice of victory, Wilhardt steps on the monster's corpse and pushes through the walls.

The two men under his command feel a little anxious about the way it was going, but decided to decide that the power of his weapon to be equipped was definitely, and to break it off as a thankful cover shooting.

Thus, a few times defeating goblins, slimes, and sometimes harpies flying at random from the sky, the three reached the northern defensive tower on schedule.

Wilhardt screams an evacuation order as the momentum kicks through the door of the tower that leads straight through the passage of the castle wall.

"Retreat to the castle! The walls abandon! Hurry up, Simon!

Stuffed in the defensive tower are several archers and magicians, and their friend Simon Friedrich Baldier, whose secret rumors have been whispered with Prince Wilhardt in recent times.

The small sniper, who had just finished shooting through a small window for interception, took a small breath with hu before looking back. Delicate gray hair dances fuzzy with the sweat floating on his forehead.

"Oh good, I was just wondering what to do with a monster coming in the other floor part"

Says Simon, a bitter laugh, as he takes on a great sniper rifle.

Sure, you can hear something like a monster groan from downstairs. It won't be long before the door that leads from the stairs to here begins to get slammed hard.

Hard stone walls and steel doors won't break so easily, but the timing for abandoning the tower is critical.

"Hurry up, we won't make it."

To Wilhardt's words urging retreat, below Simon, students guarding the tower begin to move out into the aisle by the wall.

"... badly wounded"

"We're all out of potion."

Attacking from a tower doesn't mean you won't fight back with a monster.

Centaur's arrows fly in tight, and sometimes, worst of all, the slime that's been climbing through the walls jumps in through the window.

In their armor, or in their uniforms, blood seeps by the way.

Even if there is no damage, the sorcerer, etc. who kept releasing the attack to its limit, is about to run out of magic, and walks brazenly making sure to stick to the scepter (staff).

Whether you're lucky or strong, Simon is not the only one who can see you particularly wounded.

Naturally, he leaves the tower first from those with a strong degree of injury.

Soldiers diving through a narrow line of doors, Simon at the rear of them.

Even so, there is not a large number of people in the first place. It shouldn't take them all thirty seconds to get out to the wall - it should have been.

"- Wow!?

Simon raises his high voice and falls to the intense vibration that suddenly struck the tower.

In the next moment, the iron door was closed with momentum and the tower and passage were blocked.

"Simon! Damn, what is it now - wow!?

Shaking like an earthquake striking again.

As Wilhardt stepped on the wall, he checked the source of the earthquake just below.

"Dorthos' advance... all the time..."

There, a fierce and mad Dorthos giant hits the tower with all his heart.

It was not a castle gate or anything, it was just part of a wall, but it was repeatedly rampaging as if it were also a parent's vendetta there.

Wilhardt sets up a rifle with all five rounds reloaded, shooting a monster that continues its swine rush directly underneath.

The same was true of Simon, who remained alone in the tower, when the mouth of the yatta glass peeking through the small window erupted into the fire.

Five rifle rounds and one large caliber rifle bullet for sniping, combined with six bullets, kill to the head resembling an elephant in Dortos, destroying a small brain that only gives orders to make repeated advances.

"Hey, did you finish..."

Leaking a satisfying kime dialogue to the achievement of defeating a large monster for the first time in his life, Wilhardt laid his hands on an iron door once closed to welcome his friend again.

"Mmm!"

But it won't open.

The knob does go around rattling, but push or pull, it doesn't even freak out.

Earlier vibrations distorted the frame of the door itself. The cause was easy to predict.

"Oh, hey, you're lying..."

One door apart, a trembling Simon's voice echoes.

"Oh, calm down! We're gonna break it now, so we're a little down, Simon! Eddie, help!

From here on out, there's nothing more to rely on than force moves.

Two people, Wilhardt and Eddie, hit the door with full force.

"Gu... damn..."

Again and again, the steel door keeps closing the entrance as if it serves its original purpose.

"Shit! Shit!

You can't be mottled in here. I can't help but feel impatient.

"You still won't open it!? If we don't hurry, we'll be surrounded by monsters!

A screaming Shenna voice.

Together with the archers and sorcerers who came out first, she is still thoroughly engaged in repelling the monsters who continue to ride into the walls.

Wilhardt understood that there was no moment of respite.

At the same time, the power of those here alone is unlikely to allow this distorted iron door to open again.

"Will......"

"Yes, I'm fine! Such doors are set to open soon!

"Fine."

"Huh?"

"That's enough. Put me down."

"I'd say something stupid. Oh!

Wilhardt screamed as he scratched off the weak sound of giving up everything, heard through the door.

"Don't be silly, you can't possibly do that! This second prince of my flourishing sparda! You can't possibly abandon your friends and get away with it!

Fist knocks on iron door strongly. I still don't even freak out.

"Thank you, but you're not going to sacrifice everyone here for me."

"Knock..."

Next door is Eddie, who still struggles to open the door.

Looking back, the struggling Shenna and several students with injured and anxious faces.

"Prince Nero can't do it, but Will can... abandon his people, be ready"

"Simon!"

"Because we're friends, and we know a little bit about Will."

I was wondering if anyone understood what it meant to be a dugout.

But here is someone who understands its sincerity. One of the few, one of my friends.

Therefore, that is why we must not imitate that determination.

Do not risk many others for one's sake.

A simple number of logic. But the most discerning account of justice.

"... sorry"

"Fine."

"Sorry, Simon."

"Fine. If I can hold on a little longer, I might be able to figure it out."

You wouldn't even believe it. Hopeful observations, but I can't help but say.

The face of a friend who would be laughing bitterly across the door could be clearly portrayed to Wilhardt.

"Knock, uhh... sorry... sorry..."

"Bye, Will - tell your brother I'm sorry,"

Thus, leaving his soul allies in a closed defensive tower, Wilhardt turned back the walls.

Kicking the monster that keeps showing up, he runs to escape and survive.

"Ha ha... I'm done... I'm done with everything... I'm done..."

With tears zeroed out of his vain eyes, Wilhardt pulled the rifle trigger toward the monster.
