Kuro no Maou

Episode 396: The First Report

The 25th of the month of frozen earth. After noon we completed our descent and when we returned to the village of Asbel, it was somewhat strangely noisy.

It is not a sword-soaking atmosphere as the emergency quest was issued, it is more like this, it is a lively appearance, as if it were also being held at the festival.

"No way, we're celebrating our crusade against Last Rose..."

In the first place, I haven't even reported Quest Success to the Adventurer Alliance yet. There is no flow of information that the villagers are happy with.

Besides, Last Rose is a rank 5 monster, but no more damage to the village itself than not moving itself. Let it go, crusaded or not, but they have nothing to do with it.

"But it's not like we're celebrating a monster crusade, is it?"

If you walk down the main street of the village of Asbel, lined with wooden houses and shops with thick falling white snow on the roof, Fiona is right and you can see that.

The villagers, putting together a warm coat of fur, said with a satisfying grin, "I'm relieved by this" and "I didn't expect it to end so soon". The children on the road are somewhat interested in crusade quests, divided into monster and adventurer roles.

"Well, it must be Wing Road"

"Speaking of which, I think I've heard stories like I was on a crusade quest too...... what was it?

When I tried to remember what it was, the correct answer was shown in front of me.

Arriving in the village's central square, just in front of it, the Adventurer's Guild is built. It is made in the same way as the village of Iles.

In the middle of the square, a giant monster carcass was suspended to prove the crusade to the villagers.

"Wow, you're such a big wolf..."

"Uh, Lily, I know, Alley. I say silver wolf (Fenrill) Yikes!

Yeah, speaking of which, Nero said "Fenrill Crusade".

Lily proudly explains, pointing her fingertips exposed to the giant body of a wolf with silver fur. From a tall wooden platform, he is hung with a thick rope around his neck and forefoot and a banzai look.

From head to ass, roughly five meters? The tail is fuzzier and older than the fox, dripping from the middle to the ground without the height of the table being enough.

This behold is exposed to carcasses, but the furrows of Fenrill were glossy and beautiful in death, and seemed sparkling as a snowfield that lit up the sun.

"The Silver Wolf (Fenrir) is also a famous monster in Sinclair. From the size of it, it looks like it's still growing, but I was wondering if it has the strength to reach Rank 5."

"You know more, have you fought before?

"No, you've only seen it. When I was a kid, I remember watching a teacher fight adults alone, eating oranges in a tease."

What, relaxing like you're eating Micah watching a fighting show that New Year's Eve? No, but if you're Fiona's teacher, then it's natural that you're as powerful as you can afford it.

"Nevertheless, you seem to have defeated Wing Road quite well"

Fenrill sees little blood paste or other dirt. There are only two scars that clearly show it.

One is between the eyebrows, which seems fatal. Based on its size, I can assume Nero stabbed it with a knife. There's no brake at all, I can see the vibrant hand.

The other is a muscle laceration that ran to the abdomen. Kai must have slashed this one, all at once with rigidity, etc. In contrast to Nero, it must have been a powerful blow to feel powerful.

"If you were Mr. Chrono, you'd have amputated your limbs and dropped your neck."

I just want to argue how brutal it is to kill...... but I would have done it.

Fenrill, who presumably has a high degree of manoeuvrability, targets his feet first to seal his movements. Next, I will sever my neck to make sure I stab Todome.

"No, now I'm gonna smash my dropped head to pieces of wood dust."

How many times have you been fought back after you dropped your neck? Neither Sayid nor Greedgor would have died a great deal. Really, it's a hell of a lot of them.

"So you're saying that Mr. Krono has finally woken up as a mad warrior (Berserker) too"

"Wait, I still have a class..."

It was then that I tried to explain that I meant to be a black wizard.

"Ah! Chrono-kun!

And they called my name with a sweet, beautiful voice that sounded familiar.

Turning to your voice, there's, of course, a white-wing healing princess dressed in a relaxed white coat.

"Mm-hmm!

"Chan!?

As usual, I was frightened of eating Lily's flash.

"So, are you okay, Nell?

"... yes, it's okay, Chrono-kun"

Before Nell with a slightly mellow and painful smile, hold back Lily from the momentum of gallooning and roaring.

"Mr. Krono, let's go and report to the Alliance."

Fiona pulls a gouge on her sleeve and sues hard. It is as if to ignore the advent of Nell altogether.

"Oh, hey, you don't have to hurry like that -"

"So long, princess, Sayonara"

"Really? Then I'll go with you to the guild. I was just glad I needed you, too."

Fiona's movements stiffened following Nell's reply, which he said away with a sunny smile. The power to pull my sleeve stops.

"... Mr. Krono, shall we put the guild behind us and go for dinner first"

Translate opinions lightly, no offense whatsoever, with the usual faceless look.

But I saw it. Fiona's thin eyebrows for a moment, to the point that they were pickly distorted.

This, maybe not, you're angry.

"Are you going to eat? Now that I know the recommended delicious shops, I'll show you around."

Nell still said back with an angel's grin that he could be luxurious because of the rewards of the Fenrill crusade.

Before the power of that smile, I don't know if the Alliance needed me.

"Oh, yeah, right..."

And when I glanced back at Fiona's face again, my spine froze. There are golden eyes that have lost their radiance.

The figure of a girl who kept waving her wand down heartily to the body of a cat beast man came to the back of her brain.

"Disappear -"

"Fiona!

I suppressed my mouth. With my hand, Fiona. As much as you can. No more, let us not say a word.

To the sudden outrage, Fiona leaks a groan as she pats her golden eyes.

Now that I have returned to sanity, should I say that I have deviated from the spearhead of consciousness?

"I'm sorry, but just calm down"

Whispering in a whisper, he turned his back a little too frivolous for Nell and said, "I'm taking it in a little now," a silent appeal.

Blocking Fiona's mouth, she released the lily she was catching, but for now, she's reading the air now and making it big. Now I guess you understand as a toddler that the problem is Fiona.

"Mr. Chrono is the one who made that woman too familiar"

"I know we shouldn't get too close, but it would be more dangerous to respond badly here"

Fiona must have made a statement to the effect that she said, "Just disappear, you bitch."

Shortly after I stopped, I became a buying word for the sale, but I have to point out that I'm too frivolous to be the leader of the party.

The biggest reason to be on the lookout for Nell is because of his status.

"Besides, this is Avalon territory, not Sparda. Even if they miss it in seminary, I don't know what kind of inadvertent word they're gonna pull here."

"That's... yes..."

As far as I'm concerned, I usually enjoy chatting with Nell, but it's my policy to avoid inadvertent contact. That's why Fiona must be overreacting so far too.

In such a response, however, it is the end of the line. Because avoiding Nell is a means of avoiding danger, not an end in itself.

In that sense, only modern magic (model) classes are specifically recognized. Although it would be more beneficial to use protection than to risk approaching royalty, hence.

"Leave this place to me. Lily and Fiona need to go to the guild first. I'll cut the story off on my own and break up with Nell on this occasion. So what do you say?

Such a wacko makes me the wingman to make such a suggestion that I would betray a friend named Nell in half.

To put it to the mouth, there's a lot of guilt and self-loathing... but I guess this is the harm to the identity system.

Fiona, who doesn't know such a unique Goto of modern Japan, is a bare gesture to assume that Mmm. I'm worried, but this has a pulse. She knows that this is the most convenient way to do things right now.

"Enough time limit, Chrono. I can't wait any longer."

Answered on behalf of the troubled witch was a fairy with adult thoughts. In other words, it is Lily, who has only regained consciousness.

"Enough... wouldn't it be a little longer?

I don't think there will be a bee after a little chat with Nell.

"Enough is the limit if you want to stop the Wing Road members."

"Ok, ok, I'll cut it up within enough at any rate"

Dangerous, completely wingloaded, and hence overprotective. I had lost sight of your brother's presence.

Now that you've seen me and Nell's two-shot, you don't know what to say and what to put on Ichamon.

That's why Lily gave me the insurance that if any of the members, including Nero, approached me on this occasion, they would properly speak up and buy some time.

The boulder is an adult lily, a perfect follow.

"See you soon - Chrono! Lily, you're going to the guild first!

And Lily, who shows her perfectly innocent toddler act and pulls Fiona to gauge the departure of this occasion.

Still, it seems to switch to horrible...... really Lily, the usual toddler mode isn't acting, is it?

"Oh, hey, Mr. Lily..."

Still unconvinced and reluctant, things like that, but Fiona also walks out to be dragged by Lily, who grabs the hem of the witch robe with an innocent smile.

So, looking back at us about three times in a flickering manner, the two disappeared into a snowy Asbell Village Adventurer's Guild.

Oh man, it's one commotion just to talk to Nell.

"Sorry Nell, Fiona's still a little bit, I don't know... I think I'm on guard"

"No, I don't care at all, so don't let Chrono-kun get upset"

Nell, who still smiles and gives it back, is seriously an angel.

For once, you shouldn't have heard this story because it was whispering, but I actually feel so dazzled that even after knowing it all, you might laugh and accept it.

"Because some adventurers hate you furiously just because you're royal or noble, and it's common"

I guess I'm used to it, at least enough to break it off easily with "common things". Somehow, it's hard to be a princess...

"It's been a long time since Chrono-kun and I have been together more than that, and I... that, hey, I'm glad..."

Zhu gently gives to Nell's white cheek. Mozi Mozi and how embarrassing he looks.

I'm thrilled for a moment with that overtly loving maiden reaction and dialogue - it's okay, I'm a guy who doesn't get weird and understands Nell's feelings properly.

"Lily's been with me all these days, and you've made Nell care"

Yes, this is about having friends who are close, but not even close to each other besides him, in the same place, a little awkward, kind of atmosphere. A friend of a friend wouldn't be a friend.

I had a lot of experience in high school, too.

My friend Miscellaneous was the type of person who, unlike me, had a broad friendship, so when I talk outside the classroom, mostly other class friends and acquaintances come by. Other times in the Literature and Arts Department, when I was talking to a friendly member, when Soytsu told Shirazaki about the subject and put him in a circle of conversations? Shirazaki is also Shirazaki, and if you're scared of me, you didn't have to go out with me... and I have memories of having a conversation that I can't help but feel guilty about.

Huh, is it also the dream of Last Rose that reminds me of this?

Anyway, I would feel it in Nell's current position, knowing very well that this subtle state of mind. Indeed, this feeling is both delightful and embarrassing.

"No, no..."

Nell happily starts to get even more mozzled by words I understand. It's important that you know exactly how your friend feels.

Well, then you should stop pursuing this subtle feeling and just try to change the subject, as a friend.

"Hey Nell, how was your Fenrill crusade?

When I think about it, I've never talked about quests with a fellow friend of mine, the adventurer. Simon is the main researcher, and Will is the prince. Both have experience with quests, but are not raw adventurers.

I don't have one interactive adventurer in this big city of Sparda. Thinking about it like that... Wow, I'm a serious friend, I don't even know much...

"Well, it was a powerful monster, but it was well prepared and countered, so there was no particular struggle."

This one was meant to be well prepared and counter-measured, but I was in a pinch of desperate death lightly. Not very much, but I'm ashamed to say it.

Before Nell, who is not bragging or anything, just saying that it was the ultimate natural result, I "see, you're a boulder" and other appropriate hammers, while maintaining the poker face, so it's the best I can do.

"Nevertheless, the village seems to be in full swing"

"This Fenrir crusade was almost an emergency quest."

emergency quest, be thrilled for a moment by the word.

But as soon as I hear Nell's pale explanation that follows, I quickly regain my composure. Because the Fenrill crusade was not too exceptional and urgent, like the Ischian rescue and Alsace defense.

The story seems to be that Fenrir, who is not supposed to come out of the depths of the Asbel Mountains, somehow appeared at the foot near the people and began to repeat sporadic raids.

Fenrir said the village of Asbel appeared, of course, on the southern street leading to the capital Avalon and the northern street leading to the neighboring Windham, two routes as well. It is the classic damage of a moving traveler or merchant's carriage being attacked.

Even though it is common in this other world, it is not something that would have been enjoyed if it had actually been attacked. If this was a slime or a flock of goblins, it would have been solved immediately by asking the right adventurer. But it won't be that easy if you give me the second strongest Rank 5 Monster Silver Wolf (Fenrill) in the Asbel Mountains to storm.

So, if the famous Wing Road gave his name to the crusade to rumors, then so would the expectations of the villagers. And so they responded beautifully.

"Absolutely fantastic. You're no match for me."

"No, I was just lucky."

More than mere modesty, it was also a purely privileged battle condition.

If we truly want to crusade the Silver Wolf (Fenrill), we have to get to the depths of its habitat, the Asbel Mountains. The cave of the Last Rose is also the beginning of the mountain range. Beyond that mountain and beyond three or four more mountains, the deepest, Rank 5 super dangerous zone extends into the middle of the Asbel Mountains.

Honestly, even without the monster, it would be a distant and rugged Snow Mountain march that would only cost you your life if you went there and came back.

"If you hadn't come down near the village, you wouldn't have taken this quest. Even we can't break through the depths of Asbel."

Even Nell, who prides himself on his beloved brother and his dependable party members, has only one reason to affirm so. Yes, there are more, decisive reasons than just being rude.

"Isn't Wing Road no match for Frozen Realm (Eyes Zero Field)?"

In the Asbel Mountains, there are areas where the effects of shelter disappear. The correct area where the protection is frozen, called the 'Frozen Area (Eyes Zero Field)'.

If you are a Rank 5 Adventurer, you can barely exert the power of powerful protection that you have and take for granted, only in its place. The stronger the protection, the greater the impact of weakening.

"Yes, because none of our members has been given an affinity protection for the ice attribute."

The only exceptions in the Frozen Realm (Eyes Zero Field) are those who confer the ability of this ice attribute lineage. Not only does it avoid disappearing, but rather, it may be said to be enhanced.

This should be construed as part of a magical natural phenomenon in which the place is too dense in the primary colour magic of ice, but other attributes are greatly inhibited, rather than being restricted by 'frozen areas (Eyes Zero Fields)'.

Differences in primary color magic, intensity, drifting from place to place have been experienced many times in my previous adventurer history. Even if you're not an adventurer, if you have a little bit of magical qualities and you can sense the signs, it's a feeling you'll notice in your normal life.

of water in the sea, of fire in the volcano, and of ice in the snowy mountains. In my experience, "The Grave of Resurrection (Revival Catacombe)" felt the dark dark dark primitive magic.

In such places, the magical effects and powers exercised change, and also affect the physical condition of the operator. Of course, the ability to protect may also change. Weirdly good or bad. of adventurers, rather than talking about the level of public common sense in Pandora.

Of course, the lack of what magic that dungeon is full of is one of the key pieces of information, and it's also as basic as you can tell in one shot if you look it up in the guild.

In other worlds, it is a well-known natural phenomenon and law of magic, but when it is so large that it affects even protection, it is given a special name, like this "Frozen Realm (Eyes Zero Field)".

In particular, since the characteristic of loss of protection is an extremely serious effect, a dungeon designation of rank 5 is given with few exceptions where the sole has been confirmed.

One of the major reasons for the high risk is that at the same time there are also monsters with very powerful abilities of attributes and systems whose effects are allowed to be exerted. Rather, it seems that the monster himself uses it even in shelter, a theory that is also within the Society of Mages.

That logic develops further, and the effect of the protective disappearance system is because the gods on the margins of the land do not allow the expression of protections other than those that concern themselves.

In fact, where the place of origin or legendary land is clearly known, the effect of particular protection is obtained in that place. This is the closest example to me of a fairy forest (Fairy Garden) fountain of light where Lily can only return to her original appearance naturally.

So it's not necessarily a wack of unrealistic rampant theory... well, it doesn't make any difference to the reality that such a phenomenon occurs, whether the disappearance of protection is in the extension of a natural phenomenon or whether God's will is intervening.

And for me right now, it's just good to have that fact. This means that there is also a place where my protection will be strengthened. Flip it, because that place where the protection of the white god is weakened also means that it may exist.

"We're also choosing a quest that's the right length. Even if you're praised for rank five, what you're doing isn't so different from a normal adventurer."

I don't see any colors like overconfidence or chronic hearts on Nell's face smiling in a flash. Nell, who can be humble everywhere, is still wondering what kind of education he has received. At least, Avalon's method of training princesses is definitely way out.

"Still, this is how we do our quests smartly, so it's amazing. If it was us, I don't think we'd be so pretty."

"No, no... If Chrono-kun had taken the same quest, I think he would have cleared it better"

That's too much for anything. I would have totally destroyed Fenrill's head over a limb amputation. I can't kill you clean, like you're hanging here right now.

And I don't speak that far, but vaguely reply in denial, "No, that's not true". Now if I could say it with all my sincere humility, it would be a little cool.

"Krono-kun, do you have any idea what caused this Fenrill to go wild?

"Mmm, right... parasitized or something?

The first thing I came up with was that. I mean, nothing else comes to mind except this.

The lazy guy who left such an outstanding impact is now every day working as my weapon part. If you work, you lose, not lose, so you work.

"Ugh, no, it's kind of a shame"

I thought they laughed at me completely off target, but I didn't think they were going to "spare" me.

Were you right about being manipulated? Because an evil sorcerer manipulates Fenrill to attack the village as he wishes - isn't there a sole? If this was the right answer, it would be more important.

"So, what's the right answer?

"It's a curse weapon."

If you ask me, when Nell and the others encountered Fenrill, the hairs that would otherwise have been brilliant on silver were blackened, and the dos black aura was erupting from them.

It is obvious that he is possessed of evil thoughts, even if he is not a healer (Priest) Nell.

"After I defeated him, a sword came out of his belly. It's a brilliant Rapier with a very beautiful decoration, but this was a very powerful curse weapon."

Perhaps a cursed weapon user like me challenged Fenrill by pulling up that curse drapier. And then you lose and you feed.

But Fenrill seems to have lost to the 'curse' that took him into his body.

"I see, what a nuisance..."

This is a real example of a cursed weapon being repelled. As far as I'm concerned, I can count on you, but listening to this kind of talk makes me recognise the danger again.

"So if you were Chrono-kun, who can control the curse weapon perfectly, you could have defeated him better."

"Well, I can control it, but I'm also not wacky that I can decurse (dispel) it"

It's about me, and if I actually fight, I'm going to struggle a lot. But if Lily and Fiona were here, I wouldn't lose. Fight from the front, Element Master won't lose, so hey!

"Oh, Chrono-kun, if you like, shall I give you that rapier?

"Uh, okay?

No, it won't be good.

Even though it's a cursed weapon, if you sell it, it will be some, or if you take it to the Moldred Chamber of Commerce, it must buy it away for a good price. I guess I'll use it anyway while flashly advertising "the cursed ones that drove that Fenrill crazy and put Asbel at the bottom of his fears" at next year's "Curse Gladiator Games (Curse Carnival)".

"Of course, we don't have anyone to use."

I wonder if I could use it around Saphir. It's not me (Simobe), it's usually me.

Anyway, even if not, I don't feel that as an adventurer I would easily receive a loot that would undoubtedly be gold.

"No, I won't shy away from boulders. Speaking of which, Nell just gave it to me, and I think I'd rather give it back this time."

Even mine will pay for the Last Rose Crusade. and also keep the appeal.

As an omelet, it's also the gear of the adventurers who lost their lives in that cave. Although the collection will later have the Alliance pay for it there to act on its behalf. Still, that's quite an extra reward.

There is no letter in my wallet that moisturizes me to cheat on my gift bill.

"What! Oh, I can't believe you gave me a gift from Chrono-kun... me..."

If you just read the dialogue, it looks like "I don't want it because it's annoying," but you put both palms of this on your red-dyed cheeks and said, "Kah! If it's a reaction and set that I'm like," I'm happy with whatever it is, I can assure you.

Then the feathers on the trademarked back also ran so hard that they flew straight in.

Princess Nell would have more experience than counting the very act of getting a gift, but isn't this the first time in a situation that this is truly private and from a friend?

A princess I normally admire, is a betty setting... but when she reacts like this in front of me, what a ghost.

"Well, when you get back to Sparda, look for something..."

And was it bad that I said something sweet to Nell?

"- Chrono!

"Whoa, Lily!?

All of a sudden, I got Lily's voice calling my name sharply from behind. If you look back in horror at whether you mishandled the princess...

"What's up, Lily?"

The figure is back on the girl.

My body gets bigger with the white pun robe, so my length goes up to my knees and my white raw feet are dewy and a little sexy, but more than that, I should worry about Lily's face.

The look is serious in itself. Lily and I have been dating for the longest time in this other world, at first glance, I can tell. I was wondering how serious Lily is right now.

I squeeze my expression too, forget to respond to Nell, just focus on Lily's words.

"The Alliance received a letter to Chrono. The sender is His Majesty King Leonhardt"

The white envelope Lily handed me had a Sparda flag crest crossed by two swords on the crown pressed in red wax.

A stamped version of this was seen in the infirmary of The Great Arena (Grand Coliseum). Yes, an emergency quest request issued by Will.

The fact that it remains sealed means that Lily hasn't even checked the contents at dawn yet. However, it seems to have already guessed what information is hidden there.

That's the same for me. The hand that opened the seal shivered a little.

Inside is a single letter. Every time I followed that white paper dancing letter with my eyes, I felt a cold sweat gushing out of my face.

"... what, it says?

In a calm voice, Lily asks.

I answered the same, calmly. My heart is beating painfully, but still, I told him what it was all about.

- The Crusaders are moving.
