Kuro no Maou

Episode 412: The Galahad Fortress

The moon of darkness 11th. The first group of the Spartan Army 4th Squad 'Gladiators' arrived safely at Fortress Galahad.

Although it was a tidy mountain road, it was a medium difficulty with a tight slope in addition to the snow falling, but with no trouble or shepherds, it connected to finish the schedule as planned.

As far as I'm concerned, I was just a little shocked that it was the path I was supposed to take once, but I don't recognize it at all. Regardless, it is not only the path between Galahad Sparda, but also the beauty of this overwhelming Great Fortress.

"Fortress Galahad was such a big deal..."

Built in front of you is just a giant wall. The Great Wall of Galahad, the Sole, even if he knows no history, must not make him think that no one would have achieved anything beyond this.

Though it is also a more surprising substitute for those who actually know history.

In fact, they say it was built using this Great Wall, ancient ruins. Originally, it seemed more appropriate to say it was just a ruin, rather than a ruin, just that the huge steel gate that is the main gate and the collapsing wall that spreads from it stretches over dozens of meters. But even the wreckage, the doors and walls made of ancient technology were strong, and the ancient King Sparda decided to use them as they were in this location.

So over the years, little by little, but steadily, the fortress has expanded and strengthened, until the completion of what is now a supermassive castle wall.

The place where such a historic great fortress was built is a miraculously open mountain slice. Only at one point is the altitude low and smooth, and right from both sides of it, two rocky mountains protrude as cliffs. I get the impression more like a giant valley than in a mountain.

Maybe this bizarre terrain was also created in antiquity.

And the Great Wall of Galahad completely seals off the valley bottom, which is roughly a kilometre wide, from end to end.

Its height is about fifty meters. Precisely assembled vertical stone walls will only look damned if they come from the attacking Daedalus side.

Meanwhile, from my standing sparda side, I can see a fort built the size of that giant wall. Box-like squares with defensive towers in all corners are built just like the old castles of Ischia. However, its size is different digits and looks about double.

The only difference is not the size. In addition to thickening the wall armor for only the big time, it also has a magical defense by a wide area junction that covers all of the buildings.

Four defensive towers, such as the skyscraper, where the fort stands alone in high defense, provide additional protection.

The heavenly side of the tower is a turret that unleashes the maximum firepower attack magic by the court magicians of Sparda from the best heights of the fort. Deep underground, like the roots of the great trees, the bottom line serves as a junction machine that activates the junction that protects all the fortresses of Galahad except the Great Wall. It is one of the key defensive facilities in the offensive.

What is even more surprising is that in addition to this gigantic fortress, there are also buildings lined with warehouses, barracks, stables where both horses and tenma can be kept. It is a little town at the earliest.

"That was right after the Battle of Alsace. What you don't remember is that you can't help it."

I'm the only one surprised by the scale of the fortress, and Fiona has a look that doesn't bring any emotion to mind. Rather, it feels like you don't even care about the fortress or anything for me.

"You took care of me then..."

After joining the Spartan army for rescue, the tension thread was completely broken, and I was suddenly self-defeated. If you notice, it feels like you were sleeping in a cat's tail pavilion.

Again, in front of Lily and Fiona, I meant to be cheerful and normal with no worries on my face... but again, I can barely remember what happened at the time.

Between meeting Mia and her resurrection, the two of us took care of her and stayed worried, and I really can't stop apologizing and thanking her.

"It's all right, Lily, because you can't lose anymore!

"Oh, right. We've grown stronger, and even if the Apostle comes, it's time to win."

With a heightened sense of war and a must-win vow in my chest, I get off Mary with Lily. From here on out, pull the horse to the designated stables.

Fiona is also gently getting off Marie, pulling the reins and beginning to walk. Towards a building marked 'Galahad Hotel' with a big fat man on the sign I put up.

"Hey, Fiona, you're in the dining room."

"I know."

"You can't go in there with a horse."

"... I know"

No, absolutely, you didn't understand. You look a little stubborn.

When there are plenty of facilities, there are many temptations. Everyone is hungry, especially on the battlefield.

But what about just arriving and starving?

"I'll make it a meal when I deposit it."

Copy that, sir.

Sparda's regular soldiers are paid for meals, but we don't have them. It is all self.

That's why regular restaurants are built like this. Well, since some people usually call themselves liquor merchants, and commercialize the army against them, there's no such thing as this teh store.

The confidence that the fortress of Galahad, which boasts an iron wall in particular, will never be broken through will go hand in hand, and this is how a magnificent store can be set up right near the walls. It has quite a few years in it, such as that three-story whorehouse. I mean, is it okay to be this close, oh, the store? It worries me in another way.

"Still, you're a great guy... Lily, don't get carried away"

"Yes," Lily's footsteps, walking away from Swiss and people-waves with a cheerful reply, are light. Light, or floating. "Fairy Dance Shoes" sounds like a little fun after all.

On this occasion, a new adventurer has arrived, in addition to the already gathering of the main forces of Sparda. Population density is even higher.

Though most Sparda knights have already packed to the fort, the horse-riding second squad, Tempest, is stationed outdoors with a tent. Looks like I'll take care of my own horse. But if we don't, we won't be partners in saving lives on the battlefield.

Anyway, a whole army of soldiers and an army of adventurers are overflowing with people outside the fort. Of course, I thought we were going to be outdoors with tents - but I was able to get an inn. Rather than being lucky, does it feel like a Rank 5 gain or something? Most of the time, it's the same as a country guild room.

Thus, as he managed to draw the crowd this way, a large shadow inadvertently went over his head.

"Oh, I'm the Dragon Knight."

If I looked up, I could see a flying dragon (Wyburn) with a green scale standing one after the other in a heliport-like place set on a cliff. Apparently, it has become a dedicated enclave where the Dragon Cavalry is stationed.

Wyburn, two times smaller than Salamander, makes me feel powerful as someone who leads me into the dragon genealogy, from winged wings.

"Uh, there's only one white one."

"True, I wonder if he's the captain"

What a graceful looking white dragon with pure white scales dazzled his eyes, he finally stepped down. Whether the wind has arrived so far against the bright white wings, the breeze blows through.

"It's unusual to be a white flying dragon. If you're not rich enough, you can't ride."

It looks a little white, Fiona says.

"That's the flag that's flying over there, the Avalon flag. So the First Dragon Cavalry" Dragon Heart. "

If you follow Fiona's gaze, there is indeed a flag featuring blue and white coloring that hangs over the cliff. The motifs of the painted crest are swords, shields and dragons. Not very familiar, but knowing that Sole is Avalon's flag, as a knowledge.

But I don't know where the troops are from there.

"I know you, Fiona."

"I just heard it in class"

Speaking of which, I don't feel like I did it in some class. Because I also recognize somewhere in the phrase First Dragon Cavalry 'Dragon Heart'.

Apparently, Fiona is better off if it's just academic grades. I did a pretty good job in high school, too, but I wasn't even the most wacky. Again, Fiona, genius.

"I heard from Avalon that some reinforcements are coming, but I see it would be better if an elite dragon knight (dragoon) came rather than dispatching numbers poorly"

The presence of a knight who can fly through the sky, including the Tenma Knight (Pegasus Night), which we have also seen in Alsace, is powerful and rare. Avalon doesn't send the big army, but this is how he sends the Tiger Child's aerial power, so I can see quite how he feels about supporting Sparta.

"Perhaps this time the Crusaders will also put in quite a bit of air power. I do appreciate how many soldiers can fight even one horse."

"There's Lily too!

"No, you can leave it to the Sparda and Avalon armies. We, the Element Master, can fight together this time."

Only, I plan to. Hopefully, it won't be an emergency like Lily's opponent of the Tenma Knight again.

"Last Rose Crusade didn't help you at all, so this is the time to make it look active."

"Lily, I'll try so hard, Chrono, praise you so much!

"Thanks for the comforting words. I'll do my best, with all my soul."

I'll give you the Crusaders for a blood festival.

Come on, we're ready to intercept. All we have to do is wait for them to come.

"- Oh, it's already sundown."

The sky, crossed by the dragon's flying shadow, had at some point begun to stain red. Soon, this Galahad fortress will also be stained red with twilight sunsets.

How many more days will it be before the land is truly stained red by blood?

Until the time comes, I'll wait here quietly.

The 16th of the Dark Moon. Early morning.

Against the backdrop of the morning sun, which began to climb from the eastern sky, a single horse (Pegasus) was flying gently.

It is the silver world on one side that spreads beneath your eyes. Blue meadows are now under thick snow, and deep green forests are also losing color with snow and ice.

The furrows of the flying Pegasus also have a pure white luster no less than this snowy scenery. Whoever sees it, will keep his mouth shut when it's beautiful.

But across its back are those who dye themselves further white. Silver has long, brilliant, silky hair, and the holy coat hangs in the wind.

He is a single maiden with bright white, clear skin who must not tolerate any dirt or stains.

"... here we are"

A word that whined like a sigh disappeared into the universe leaving only traces of white exhalation.

The girl pulls the reins slightly and tells her life to a pure white horseback ride. The obedient servant, who has precisely drawn the will of the Lord, wings the beautiful and successful white wings, lowering altitude at once.

On the way down is a large, boneless building that floats black amidst the white scenery. Built to attack the land, not to protect it, the sole looked colder than snow.

That's how she gets off on Pegasus.

"- Welcome to the Fortress of Alsace, Lord Saliel the Seventh Apostle!

It is all the soldiers who pack in this fortress who stand neatly in front of the main entrance and raise their welcome voice. The white equipment is a protective colour on the snow, even without trying, but it is spectacular inside that there are five thousand human beings in a group.

However, even among the five thousand, Saliel's little body insists on a presence full of radiance.

Commander-in-Chief of the Crusades, one act of the Seventh Apostle Saliel descending from heaven is the divinity that should be called descent truly. Everyone in the soldier breathes down to the figure of a beautiful girl who dwells in that body the miracle of God. The young boy soldier still shines his eyes, the old lady knight forgets even jealousy and sees it in beauty, and the officer in battle just exhales in admiration.

"... raise your face. of the situation, report it."

It is time for Saliel to descend from Pegasus, as Fuwari and the heavenly feathercoat dance, and take a step on the white ground with his own feet, so that the soldiers are free from charm and (c) remember their duties all the time.

The young man, dressed in brilliant silver armor, who rushes in a slight rush, was heard to be the nephew of Count Bergunt in the custody of this Alsace fortress.

"Excuse me, my lord Saliel! I lead the Allied Coalition of Counts of Bergunt, the Eighth Battalion -"

Though I will keep the name introduced in my memory in the face of tension, Saliel will not call the name.

I have come to this occasion to watch over the Fortress Galahad strategy that was imposed despite the middle of winter. I am not going to make an extra intervention, spreading the command of the Commander-in-Chief.

"Looks like the main unit's already out there."

"Ha, on the 24th of the month of Frozen Earth, the main unit came out of the Alsace Fortress. As you can see, the streets are closed by rugged mountains and wind and snow, so it took me a long time to make my way."

Even though I haven't heard it, my nephew General cordially explains how they cut through the snow path, while retaining the streets from being closed with snow again.

It is important if the Apostle is to put a kettle on it. I guess he's desperate too to get understanding and convincing.

Most of all, no matter how sloppy the plan was, Saliel would never pinch his mouth. Without knowing what she was willing to say, he went on and on to explain himself carelessly.

"- So, just today or tomorrow, my uncle, excuse me, His Excellency General Bergunt seems to be launching an attack on Fortress Galahad."

After a long explanation, Sariel stopped to pitch when he finally came to a conclusion. It was something that stopped walking so abruptly that the young man was hurrying his big stepped foot back and stepping on it.

A little clumsy, his appearance is not reflected in Saliel's crimson eyes. Its red gaze is directed towards the mountains of Galahad, which soar gently beneath the blue skies of a far, clear winter.

"... here we go"

No one could ask what. But if you hear that crush, everyone will be able to guess thinly.

Sariel never went on to say more than that. She has no obligation to explain. If you know what you are, it is enough.

It was by the super-sensition of the Apostle that he sensed that the battle between the Crusaders and the Spartans had now begun at this moment.

"I'll get it ready."

"Ready...?

Now it's time he bumped into doubt. Because Saliel's dialogue was clearly thrown at him, not to himself.

"Ready."

"Ha ha... we are ready to entertain Sir Saliel, and if you want to rest soon, we have a room for you..."

With a puzzled face that he had no idea what Saliel meant by "preparation", he said things like exploring the right answers to a lot of things. Ji received a crimson glance and a sweat of tension flowed into the young man's face.

"Later, please."

Silent, she abandoned her detailed explanation without hesitation and moved on to action.

Just went back through the big castle gate of the Alsace fortress that dived through and went outside again. There you are, five thousand crusader soldiers still upright immobile and not out of alignment. With their gaze all together, Saliel begins walking along the walls, in a quiet foothold as if she were even going for a swallow walk.

Where the hell are we going - when everyone had that question, Saliel stopped again.

Staring at the snowy ground of fresh snow doesn't even move pickly as it was made into a stone statue by the demonic eye of petrification.

"Oh, you know, Sir Saliel... there, something?

After plenty of time, I finally spoke to Sariel, who was in mysterious pause. Slowly turning around, Sariel, unchanged, puppeted-out, faceless, but clearly uttered words.

"Here, I draw the magic formations"

What magic, for what? That's all Sariel knows. And I'm sure she won't explain.

It therefore equals correctly to them the meaning of "God only knows".

But if the Apostle does, there is no error there. It should necessarily be in accordance with the divine will, necessary action.

Then Saliel's sole is sure to lead our Crusaders to victory - yes, everyone would have interpreted it.

But I think the person in question is. The real "if possible, I don't want to use" opposite their hopes.

The magic formations I'm going to draw. If the time were to come to use the magical effects it would have, perhaps...
