Kuro no Maou
Episode 433: The Fifth Galahad War, Act II
The moon of darkness 20th, in the morning. With the snowstorm passing within last night, the Crusaders moved out again.
"Finally, the main unit is here."
As I did on the 16th, the first battle, the north right wing of the walls, more precisely, just above the hole Taurus smashed through.
From above this 50-metre high walls, fresh snow fell in the shadow of the blizzard, and we could well see the enemy coming to tear apart the snowfields that had become brand new to hide the first day of intense fighting. White-equipped crusader soldiers, assimilated to the white earth, are as if the snowfields themselves were rippling.
Even the snow that has fallen is so large that it cannot be concealed - the remains of Sample Taurus are dotted in small snow mountains. Whether it's not going to be recovered or impossible in the first place, the Crusaders are moving on avoiding it as a mere obstacle to rolling onto the battlefield.
From here, almost directly beneath, Taurus, who Lily drove to a functional standstill intact by killing the pilot, is falling into a slump, turning into a huge snowy mountain at first sight, but this is unlikely to be the only wall on the boulder to prevent the enemy from invading.
If you care about that, you're going to push over me as I am.
"Wow, you're full!
"You don't look like a boulder anymore, do you? Did you run out?"
As Lily felt standing next to her to the right, the number of enemies filled a snowfield as wide as a kilometre wide, but gained momentum.
But that line is not a clutter and a tragedy formed by the warriors, but a powerful foothold of trained integrity and the will to invade.
Forested cross flags and long spears. A march on the snow, but in too many numbers, the footsteps of the boots and the leg armor stepped in echoed so far.
You can also see an army of heavy knights (armor knights) who fought hard on the river plains of Alsace to the familiar white surcoat infantry. And, of course, the White Robe Mage Squad.
It is the figure that is still invisible, but perhaps this time, it will also put in air power, including the Tenma Knight (Pegasus Night). True, it is the face of total force.
"Have you also pulled out ordinary siege weapons? Sounds like you're gonna try it the right way."
I see a leading infantry unit treading through a thick layer of snow stacked with snowstorms, followed by a large weapon with wheels running cursorily.
With a rectangular six-wheeler about the size of a truck, and a sharp round-tailed tip peeking from its tip, he's probably the one whose alley is a broken castle gavel. With one or two shots, the ancient stubborn front gate won't be broken, but if you keep getting knocked over and over again, you don't know what will happen.
Others can see a crossbow gun (barista) that can be moved in a trolley, a large ladder car that draws a line from the lame ladder that the warrior had. The ladder car is shaped like a square tower a dozen meters high.
Perhaps climbing stairs from behind, a ladder on the side of the sky operates and unfolds to bridge straight over the walls.
It is very unreachable, not high enough to take, to the Great Wall of Galahad at 50 meters... but it just takes on the part of the hole.
"Some little golems."
"That size will also be used for civil work. It seems to be used in siege battles where the opponent cannot move because of slow movement"
Well, it's tougher and more powerful than people, so I guess there are occasions when blunt but useful. Though it doesn't seem to travel as fast as a full-tune taurus on a boulder. If such a high-performance guy had been mass-produced, he wouldn't have enjoyed it.
"That's all, though the wall itself doesn't seem like it's going to tear."
"Sometimes magicians boost, and there's magic equipment for bombings (magic items), so you can't be alarmed."
"You mean it's dangerous to make them stick to walls too much"
It is impossible, however, not to donate anything at all if this number strikes. You should assume that chimeric soldiers climbing the wall with that fun are still there, too.
"- Look, apparently we stopped beating up the Daedalus and finally the humans moved. All of you, let no one take such despicable means to tread on the earth of Sparta!
From somewhat away, I heard such a powerful voice.
The Lord of Voices is General Gezembourg, who leads the Spartan Army 3rd Squad, Lampage, which is responsible for the defense of the north right wing where I am.
A goathead with two majestic horns. It produces a long stretched white beard on the mouth like a dwarf, and it is also fur as bright as snow that covers the entire body.
This man's race is not a goat beast man - it's a demon. Yes, it is a higher demon called Bafomet.
Well, when I look at General Gezembourg, it really only looks like robe material to me. Now I miss the late 'Devil's Embrace (Bafomet Embrace)'. With this white haired bafomet fur, I wondered if it could be enhanced, what a first thought.
Well, aside from my personal feelings, it's important that that demon general be the one to protect the hole that got punched out.
The two holes in the walls have somehow been blocked in the three days to this day. However, it is not a complete repair, but only to the extent of first aid. Extraordinarily brittle than other parts.
So, from time to time, it's a wack to make up for a low defense by magically enhancing it. Besides his devilish and dark attribute aptitude, General Gezembourg seems to be also good at earthly attributes. I don't know which one to use, but with the application of defensive magic, I'm going to cover the hole part. Regardless, there are other magicians from "Lampage" together to strengthen the holes that have been blocked. At least, even if the fight lasts all day, the magic should keep protecting the hole uninterrupted.
In a similar way, the opposite south left-wing side is to be protected. This somehow maintains the function of the Great Wall as it should be.
"But if Taurus comes back, it's the same thing, right?"
"Oh... there really seem to be dozens of residual planes"
Across the crowd of crusader soldiers, their positions are lined with uneven magical far-throating stone throwers (catapults) that were also used in the first day of the attack, waiting for the time of the shelling, now or now. And right behind that crane car-like shape and height catapult, an enchanted golem of extra height, again, a man-made heavy machine (power loader), 'Taurus', stood as its building boasted a giant.
That number, indeed, twelve. The figure of the first giant standing in a side-by-side row is an overwhelming beauty to look at again.
"Probably won't move right away."
"Perhaps intimidation is the purpose."
As we predicted, if we keep Taurus out of sight, the secret weapon that Fortress Galahad boasts, the Beam Cannon of the Battle Tower Pharos, will be sealed. The other side will probably be guessing that you can only shoot four shots a day.
In addition to Pharos cannons, you can also seal one-shot Special Attacks launched by Rank 5 Adventurers. We can't prevent a full-tune Taurus assault without a maximum firepower attack.
The other side doesn't use Taurus, and this one is sealed with some Special Attacks. Which is painful, after all, it would be on this side. Maybe Taurus doesn't have enough magic to withstand the operation anymore. In other words, there is a possibility of a complete Tenko tiger - but this one has to be kept warm in case you can definitely unleash a Special Attack.
"Well, we're okay with one shot or so,"
"Time to get to the placement?
Fiona leaks a small yawn, what an inquiry that lacks tension, but I have no anxiety or distrust. Even so, Fiona does it when she does it, and she does it when she does it.
"Right. As per the meeting, Fiona is right, Lily is left. Aim for a siege weapon or a bunch of heavy knights."
"If I do" Mesa Toraguchi ", I'll be right back at Krono's!
"Unfortunately, I'll stay up there and cover for you."
Confirmation of the step is OK.
The Battle of Alsace, just as it was that last day, is the first maneuver to tap into a big shot. I'll have the two of you shoot me from a little further away, and I'll punch a super electromagnetic warhead (Gil Barrett) Nashi's "Charged Particle Cannon (Plasma Blaster)" from this spot.
Shooting so that the three attack ranges do not overlap in vain would allow us to tailor that number.
Most importantly, after shooting, it's not a big operation to move to the formation "Vertical Front (Vertical Limit)" and continue to slap enemies even on the wall, just like the first day. All you have to do is fight through even as long as your strength, energy and magic continue.
"Bye Chrono, hey again!
"Bye."
Waving a small hand boom, Lily walked out with the ease of even going shopping, and Fiona headed to the holding area as she cleverly drew the crown waves.
The crusaders beneath the eyes are proceeding through a snowfield that stretches between their own formation and their fortress to the point where it is time to go past half.
"Okay Sheep, here we go -" The Grid, "Thunder Cannon Form (Maud Blastergill)"
"Yes, sir! Energy charge, start!
Quietly set up a heavy cannon that had been removed from the shadows, and I made my magic and my fighting spirit look upon the impending Crusaders.
Today, today is the day for me to be fully rampaged. Far beyond the sea, coming from the Sinclair Republic, a genuine, real Crusader soldier is the opponent.
Oh, I can finally kill you guys. How much I've been waiting for this moment.
"I'll show you the power of the Black Nightmare Mad Warrior (Nightmare Berserker). Come on, come on -"
"... not coming"
Abominably crushing, remembering the haste and frustration.
Already the pseudo-lightning attribute magic (energy) to 'The Grid' is the critical point (full charge). And then if you pull the trigger, the purple electricity runoff will be unleashed in abundance, but the enemies at heart won't come.
"Your husband - haven't you?
Sheep who have already counted down seem to have some leisure time.
Yes, the Crusaders suddenly stopped their legs around this side of the range.
Nothing is waiting to attack but me, Lily and Fiona alike, adventurers with canes and Sparda knights with bows in their hands.
"Yep! Why, why can't the enemy on this side move?!?
General Gezembourg barks in anger.
If it is an accurate representation of the current situation, it may be said that the Crusaders' attack itself has already begun. The white army hits an avalanche and pushes it against the walls, while the far-throwing stone thrower (catapult) fires a burning rock shell simultaneously, and the siege weapon creeps in with rattles.
The furious interception instantly piles the walls with the bodies of crusader soldiers, and the discord between screaming, yelling and screaming rings. Over the sky, blocked by walls and junctions, meteorite-like throwing was scattered into flaming flowers, and on top of that, the Tenma Knight (Pegasus Knight), who had finally marched out, and the Sparda Dragon Knight (Dragoon), who intercepted, were starting a fierce dog fight.
Unlike the warriors, the crusaders who attack are fully equipped this time, and they pounce their losers, awesome arrows and attack magic into this one like a storm. On the defensive side of the Spartan army, too, casualties began to appear at least.
In that way, a fierce death battle is waged on the Great Wall of Galahad.
We'll protect it, except for this north right wing.
"Damn, seriously, what's going on..."
The enemy's attack is concentrated towards the main entrance and the south left wing hole. You should be able to understand that the size of the hole and the repair condition are not very different because you see them over here and beyond, but for some reason this is the only place completely through.
No, if you look directly in front of me where a heavy knight (Armor Knight) who has cemented himself with thick shields and armor is in the front row, still standing still and forming a line of battle, I guess it's not a wack you're after.
That means they're waiting for the right time to attack here.
What the hell are they waiting for?
If there is a decisive means of collapsing this wall, it is odd that we are launching an attack elsewhere. Does it mean, for one thing, that there is something valid only for this point?
"What the hell are you up to? - Lily, Fiona, you know what?
"Um, I'm sorry, Chrono, Lily. I don't know"
"Likewise, I can't think of anything in particular, and you don't feel anything unusual"
Through telepathy, I try to talk to two people who are away to the point where I can't see them already, but I still can't find an answer like this.
Even for me, I'm actually already wary that a magic device (magic item) like a bomb on the wall was planted during the snowstorm, but so far, I can't feel any sign of magic.
Looking around, even the Spartan army seems to be distrustful, and I have just heard General Gezembourg fly orders to check the walls around here.
"- In fear, my lord general. How about fierce enemy offense at the main entrance and some of the squad being turned to cover?
"His Majesty's orders have not been given to move... but to that extent, it is within our discretion."
If I'd listened again, there would have been such a conversation.
Coverage was proposed by the vice captain, Mr. Elf, who is entrusted with directing the 'Gladiator' on this side.
"I know there's no need to keep the third squad in full sight with the enemy."
"Um, sure... phase okay, let's turn some of it to central cover. Non takes direct command. This is a temporary occasion, Lord Ellywood."
"Please, I'll take care of it, Your Excellency."
"If the enemy moves, he'll be back soon. Also, if there are any anomalies in the walls, let's deal with them quickly -"
Apparently, General Gezembourg turns to cover the main entrance.
I wonder for a moment if it's okay to leave the holding, but it's a few hundred meters away anyway. Even if the Crusaders start moving, it's quicker for the generals to come back before they get close to the wall. Whatever, you can check the enemy's movements with your own eyes even after they move.
Like Mr. Ellywood said, it would be a bad idea to stick to the field and let the soldiers play. In fact, both the central and southern left wing are engaged in such a fierce battle that reinforcements are most welcome.
"Ah, Chrono, the grandfather of the goat is here."
So much less, telepathic communication came in from Lily. Looks like you witnessed General Bafomet moving.
"General Gezembourg seems to be turning to the central perimeter."
"Should Lily go, too?
"No, stay put and wait. Let's concentrate on our defense."
"Yeah, I know -..."
Unexpectedly, Lily's voice broke.
"That, Lily? Hey, what's up?
I try to speak up and call, but there is no young, adorable response.
"Hey, Lily? Can't you hear me? Telepathy's out."
I try to call them over and over, but they all just vainly become my soliloquy.
Weird. There are obvious anomalies happening - so intuition appeals fiercely, but I don't see any particular change in this sight. There is no such thing as an enemy attack slamming into a place where Lily would be. Lily is definitely still safe on that spot.
Whether you look right or left, it's still the same with Spartan soldiers and adventurers waiting for the Crusaders on the walls.
What, even the magic that interferes with telepathy was used...
"Damn, what do you mean, the comms are disconnected! Hey, spare..."
Turning a blind eye, Lieutenant Ellywood complained of telepathic malaise there, just like I did.
Apparently, Lily's not feeling any worse, the telepathy itself is getting out of the way.
"Then I knew there was an obstruction... no, wait"
So I finally realized what an uncomfortable, unusual person I was.
"... Quiet, quiet"
Mr. Ellywood started directing his men's knights out loud about something, and around me, I keep hearing things like the sounds and bluffs that adventurers and sparda soldiers make, just the same.
But that's not the noise the battlefield deserves.
I can't hear you. Except for the noise coming up from around me.
Yes, until just now, it was noticed that the sound of the battle, which had begun in the far center and south left wing, was not heard at all.
Telepathy isn't the only thing that's blocked. Sound...
"- Hey! Oh, my God! Come through!
That's when someone screamed.
"Whoa, seriously! What the..."
"Stupid bastard, who the hell did you put a defensive magic on this place!
"Damn, you're sturdy!
That's how the adventurer started making noise.
Apparently, transparent defensive magic is activated so as to block the passage.
"No way -"
Again, I look carefully at the left and right.
The noisy adventurers are knocking and kicking at walls they can't see. Terribly transparent, sounds like a defensive magic of light but... no. That's probably something else.
"Lieutenant! My God, the passage on this side is blocked by a mysterious junction!
One Sparda knight had told us that the passage opposite the adventurer and on the side leading to the centre, likewise, revealed a wall of transparency.
The left and right passages are blocked.
No, it's not just the aisle.
Conscious, I could see. The presence of thin, shiny, glass transparent walls. Right in front of me, front, back, left, right, all of that.
- You're trapped, we are.
It's a terribly huge rectangle.
The transparent walls cover all sides of this 50-metre wall, including the passage we stand in.
Soon. This colorless invisible cage had been created for me and for no one at all.
"Hey, what the heck!? What's going on!?
Lieutenant Ellywood, who has no doubt grasped the equipment of Fortress Galahad, seemed to realize the same facts as I did, and was speaking out in dismay.
Now it turns out that this phenomenon is not a fence for the defense of walls.
If you're saying it's not this thing, there's no doubt about the cause. The Crusaders have set something up.
As proof of that reasoning, they finally moved.
"Hey, you're lying..."
I have no idea what kind of magic you used. I don't know, but I know what the Crusaders are after.
From the snowy ground, this transparent wall stretches in a staircase. Big stairs.
The transparent junction extends just about ten meters to my left and right. In other words, one side is around twenty meters long, vertically covering the walls of the castle from the ground to the air, at places like fifty meters.
The staircase extends over all its twenty metres wide.
And the end of that staircase is a 50-metre walled passage above the ground where we stand - now the biggest weakness of this great wall, a blocked hole.
"Now directly, I'm going to come aboard!
Again, shake your gaze to the left and right. Looking to the right, there was Fiona to stick on the other side of the wall. The expression has a rare and hurried colour.
If you look to the left, Lily will as well. He screams something with a crying face as he pets the wall blocking the aisle.
And if you look forward...
"- All armies forward! Move on!
"Kill the Demons!
"Destroy the Demons!
"Pray to God for Pandora!
"God bless us!!
A large army of crusaders pushed the heavy knight (Armor Knight) forward and began to march abruptly. We're the only ones left in this 20-meter corridor. That number, look around a hundred people, etc.
Squadron size. If you're going to say it in a more pinned way, it's about the same number of Adventurers Alliance you fought with in Alsace.
Yes, I mean, we're on tens of thousands of allies, but at this moment, we're alone.
