Kuro no Maou

Episode 503: False Exit (1)

Before a large crowd of pushing Gratney Octs, the Crusaders' defense force finally collapsed. The 203rd Pioneering Village Supply Base is now turned into a hell of a snort cry.

"Wow, oh! Oh, help me!

Running mixed with the crushing soldiers, the cry for help rises there.

If I turned my gaze to Chirali, I could see a soldier falling over, caught with his legs tangled by an octopus crawling through the ground. The aligned iron helmet with the cross on it rolls with a ragged and vain sound whether it has fallen off on the clap. The dewy soldier's face, he's still young.

The fifteen-year-old adult will be welcoming, but still unscrupulous enough to be a juvenile soldier, can be found in his fearful expression.

"Demon Bullets (Barrett Arts)"

That you would be younger than yourself. And that I could afford to shoot in one shot. I unleashed a cover bullet to help him.

Two shots were fired. One shot blew out the tentacles that were catching his leg, and the other hit out the octopus's head.

A soldier released from fear restraint has the look of not knowing what happened, but it seemed immediately understandable that freedom had returned to his body. You think you got your whole life to die, you get up quickly with an exquisite look that makes you smile even though you're half crying.

"- Ah, guh!

But at the next moment, his back is pierced by the spear man. The tip of the tip, returned as if, dragged the cheated prey as it were, and quickly grabbed it across the fog.

"... damn"

That's how he snapped inside his thick full-face helmet so that it didn't sound like Ursula holding him by the side.

Sacrificed is a resentful crusader soldier. It's not about how many of these guys die, and I, myself, have put it up for a blood festival that I can't count anymore.

Still, it doesn't feel very good when you see it in front of you like this in the worry of unilateral genocide. Even so, they are the same people. And I don't know what else to do to help.

But as if to mock my whispering goodness, these octopuses show further hell.

"Damn -"

If I had noticed, I would have reached the village's central square. The square, wider than our village and lined with large buildings, is now overflowing with villagers who flee by a sudden raid of monsters.

And the octopuses, who could descend as they please from above to anywhere in the village, were gathered here. Yeah, I mean, this is the bait place for them right now.

"Kyaaaaaaaaaa!

The screams of a grieving woman crush her ears. If you look, a young motherly woman with a baby was being attacked.

Across the street from her is a better church than our village.

The church, with its sturdy construction and a large encampment area called the chapel, seemed to function as a refuge for the villagers.

The main entrance is still open, with more than one Crusader infantry and vigilante-like men consolidating to stop the monster from entering, while at the same time receiving evacuees.

This mother was also able to rush into a safe church just about ten meters away, but at this moment a green tentacle was tangled in her ankle.

"Demon Bullets (Barrett Arts) -"

Still in time. Now it's time - I think so, I set my aim reflexively, but shortly afterwards, a great shadow descends in front of me. It is, of course, a green octopus.

Medium octopus about three metres long, but well fleshed, with a large enlargement of the head, and four tentacles thicker than one other turn.

Peel your fangs out of your round mouth, Kisher! And whilst raising the voice of intimidation, swinging the spear fiercely is tighter even with aliens than with monsters.

"Shh!

The unexpected leakage of a hurry voice is not because he felt dangerous to him.

Fact is, I'm tapping Halvard in his right hand into his big head before a sharp spearsman flies in. Ripped in two in one blow, the slightly larger octopus sinks into the cobblestone ground.

But what I wanted to do was not slap him off, but help the mother and child who were about to be attacked right now on the other side of it.

Reaching out to release the demon bullet again, I just thought, my arm didn't even move Pickle.

"Ah."

It was Ursula held aside who raised such an adorable voice, small and astonishing, screaming.

"Don't look, Ursula"

Twist yourself, block her sight.

What seemed to be beyond the octopus falling with a green blood splash up was a desperate predatory scene.

The mother is in the middle of being thrown into her octopus mouth to be drunk whole from her head. I can't tell if he's still alive, or if he's already out of time, just how his white legs bounce off the bicunt.

Right next to it, a child octopus, about 50 cm long, was swarming with abandoned babies on the ground. Should I say that I was fortunate in Ursula's mental health that I didn't see a soft baby's body getting eaten a thousand times because so many octopuses had arrived to fold?

"Damn, damn..."

I've been repeating these words for a while now.

Whoever you want to help is too late. Help, but it ends in vain. Even now, I couldn't make it because I was blocked from the radiation for just a moment.

But you can't help it.

Look, the number of enemies is too high. Listen, the great chorus of screams echoing from around you. The number of victims is too high.

I just have to break it off. Don't disturb your mind with triviality. In a situation like this, let's just focus on running away and abandon everything else. I would have done better than that.

"Lord Chloe, let me down"

Ursula said that all of a sudden while petting the plate at her waist. In the meantime, I'll let you down honestly.

"Can you run on your own?

"Yeah, we'll fight."

"There's no need for that. If you're just going to run away, keep going..."

"I want to help. Let's help, Lord Chloe, the people of this village."

The blue eyes that look straight up at me are clear and so pretty that they're about to suck me in. But her heart, who said, "Let's help," would be the most beautiful thing about being a person.

In front of pure goodwill, I'm going to look away unexpectedly.

"It's pretty dangerous to stop and fight."

"Hehe, I knew that Master Chloe wanted to help, too. No, I won't deny it."

Ursula had a childish grin like the prank had succeeded. Like I said, everything is foreseeable, such as the crap I hold.

At all, was it me who was childish?

"... sorry. Are you sure?

"It's okay, if it's just me and Lord Chloe"

My power, Ursula's power. If the two of us do everything we can, at least, we can get them out of here if they're about the villagers standing and caged in the church.

Instead, both me and Ursula are at risk of coming to a battle that risked their lives in a true sense.

A legitimate adult should scold Ursula for not doing anything dangerous and give priority to their escape as it is. Duty as a guardian.

So I guess this is why I agree so blatantly with her, because I'm just a kid. Interpreted, a seventeen-year-old sophomore in high school?

"Dear Chloe, in the warehouse on the west side, there is only one white stone thing. That's the arsenal of this base."

Boulder, brainy Ursula. Now I know exactly what I need.

"Are you sure?"

"I heard a soldier talking yesterday. There are still plenty of other supplies to send to the Alsace Fortress, so you should be able to find them."

Thankful information, but only one problem.

"You'll be leaving Ursula alone for a little while"

It's obvious from the circumstances in front of you that you don't have the temporal respite to go pick up your weapon until you hold her. If we don't get into the rescue now, it's likely completely too late when we get back.

If you want to help the villagers, I'm on my way to get the weapons by myself, and Ursula has no choice but to have the fight started first.

"Let it hold out somehow. Trust me, yeah, the power of me and Anastasia."

I don't have time to worry anymore.

"I'll be right back"

That's all I left to say, I ran out to a group of warehouses where the Crusaders' supplies accumulated.

Ursula, who is left in the middle of a square where countless tentacles capture, poke, and the sight of being eaten alive is transformed into the first street of hell, quietly unleashes his power.

"Come on, I'll eat you up for Lord Chloe -" Princess White Night Fork (Anastasia) ""

No one will have noticed the appearance of a white ghost princess appearing without sound, shaking like a yang flame. Under this extreme circumstance, the villagers, of course, even the soldiers in possession of the weapons are fleeing, and everyone is in a narrow field of view.

Ursula therefore freely wields her power, without being blamed or cared for by anyone.

"Yes."

Let's start with the nearby enemies in sight.

The arm that extends from Anastasia is oddly the same four arms as the octopuses. However, the manoeuvre is not the same as the tentacle sole, but is grasped with swallow-like speed and beauty that flies through the sky.

The octopus stretching out the tentacles for the prey and the octopus already skewering someone's back, the octopus just wrapped around his head, all white hands of Anastasia touch them and wipe them away.

Does it not even leave a bone because this monster is a flesh without a skeleton from the beginning? No, even if you could hold a bone, it wouldn't make a difference that you could turn it into a grip of ash in front of this arm.

"After all, too many"

Ursula growls fed up as she wields her arms endlessly, annihilates her enemies within five meters of each other, and pays off the enemies who descend from her head in the form of progress.

There's no fear or anxiety in that look, just the color of emotions like purely annoying. He is, however, like a civilian who preceded a pile of cumbersome documents.

"... if I hit you, I'm sorry"

To whom is it an apology, just a justification? Ursula further exercises the power of Anastasia, as she has decided to be prepared anyway.

Anastasia looks like a piece of pure white robe, but its hem is just like a translucent veil that softly wraps the main Ursula. It is a thin area that if the wind blows, it is likely to be lightly scattered, but it was already evident by training with Chloe that this serves as a junction to block attacks from outside.

Even if Chloe's blasting magic bursts right next door, you can do it with a cool face, only because this veil part absorbs and disables heat and blast. Most importantly, its absorptive power is not infinite, nor can it be prevented by more than a certain amount of power, momentum, or number, like any other defensive magic. Still, it is a convenient defense capability to prevent all directions.

From such a thin silk junction, like the first time I used this ability, or like a white mist full of surroundings, the russian or overflowing.

Its essence is entirely different, although its appearance is the same as the mist that covers the village. This is also because Anastasia is proud of its ability to absorb (drain).

"Blow It Up - Omnidirectional Liberation (Full Burst)"

In a moment, a white blast broke through the perimeter. No heat or shock, but intense gusts blow instantly.

The blast of absorption (drain) capability emitted with Ursula as a heartland took away magic and vitality from all enemy allies within a twenty meter radius.

Absorption seems to be dropping extraordinarily more than Anastasia's hands, and rolling octopuses around throw tentacles snugly, only shivering their pimples and bodies, none of which are dead. However, because of its weakness, the villagers who flee are only weakened.

In the meantime, we have succeeded in powerlessness.

"Ah, the fog is gone... Hmm, I knew this was magic too"

While the monsters to be defeated and the villagers to be helped are in a similar and falling situation on the ground, such as dead bodies, Ursula lets her sight wander into a clean, clear void without worrying about them.

As a person, it was a rather ruthless attitude, but it was an appropriate course of action to grasp the situation that could be placed on the battlefield.

Ursula is worthy of Chloe's stretched body instruction as to what nature the absorption she has (Drain) is, and now she knows exactly, this ability is limited to one point: it doesn't debilitate others like poison gas, it only sucks away the energy of magic.

It is only as a result of the loss of the magic that is in the body that a person falls without power or that Dortos becomes a bone.

If you are only slightly absorbed, you need to feel fatigued, and if you are sucked suddenly by massive amounts of magic, you will faint and fall. And if you are deprived of the magical amount of life you need to sustain your life as an organism, you will die. Moreover, the absorption of its vitality can also trigger rapid changes that instantaneously collapse the flesh, become bones, or only ashes remain without even leaving bones, if momentum is enough to take them away within a moment.

Absorption (drain) is a powerful and dangerous force that dramatically affects the target because it is an organism closely associated with magic and physical flesh.

But if we return the back, we are also utterly powerless about inorganic objects such as stones and iron, which barely dwell in magic. Stone walls surrounding this village, for example. No matter how much Anastasia's hands keep touching, breaking down this wall is no match.

And it's the same with this fog. If the white mist of terror that fills the surroundings is caused by pure natural phenomena, then touching the drain capability will not make any difference.

However, the fact that it disappeared proves that it is a magical phenomenon caused by magic.

The magic exists of simply generating fog to deprive enemies of their sight. Ursula had previously heard during a chat with Chloe that it seems to be a kind of supportive style magic mastered by assassins and others.

If so, this fog will also mean the magic exercised by Gratney Octo himself.

Most likely, this fog, which is too unnatural to occur, is the unique magic (extra) of the monster from the beginning.

"Looks like it could be like a wind junction..."

If this fog is only a mass of magic, it is easy to eliminate it on your own.

This is the first time we've drained against gases that linger in the air, but it's just an easy application issue for Ursula, who already has enough control over Anastasia. Earlier on, I actually see where the wind mage was blowing the fog, so there's already a reference example.

Therefore, there is only one thing left to do.

"Hmm, like this"

The image is to make the drain's jaw look like a thin membrane and spread it around.

The wind junction was always playing fog intrusion by blowing it away, but Drain just exists there and absorbs the fog that flows in automatically. It is more certain to cover and maintain the range like a domed wall and ceiling than to leave it flush.

It's a bump production of ideas, but still Anastasia derives exactly the effect Ursula envisioned, like a faithful me who draws the Lord's will.

Just like the "Omnidirectional Liberation (Full Burst)", which just released the damage of the allies without omitting, the blast blows through the radially thin. And the limit distance to be controlled, maybe fifty meters radius, around which to firmly push and stop without gaps.

Anastasia's drain capacity is proportional to its constitutive density. Forming a clear female body is the highest density, just the lowest density.

However, if only to prevent the fog being generated by Gratney Octo, the drain power of the Around Ursula, as when the wind magician set the line, the mist in range was completely paid off.

"Well, I think I can manage to maintain it."

The use of the impromptu drain junction looks quite good. If you are too focused on activation, you have to abandon it, but the worry was worrying.

If you can secure your vision, your battles will be easier to fight than they were and your allies will be.

Ursula doesn't think she can escort all the villagers by herself. She already understands that even a lightly crushed crusader soldier cannot succeed in this retreat without putting it in his account.

"Next, Allied Coverage"

The fog plays in the junction, the octopus body boasts an iron wall defense of a blow with a drain arm. Ursula does what needs to be calm, in an orderly fashion, without haste or confusion.

The next time you've secured your own safety, let them rebuild the defensive line by covering crusader soldiers.

"Whoa, whoa! Whatever you do, stay here!

A heavy knight captain by the name of Cliff shouts out loud enough to echo in the square. I should have fought in front of the stone wall, but I wonder how much of a robust heavy knight was the limit in a situation where my men kept escaping.

Rather, it is Ursula's honest feeling that you were still alive often. Such as retreating so far with his life and finally reaching around the entrance to the square. The number of people has also clearly decreased since the first time we saw them.

But it is fortunate that a group of powerful heavy knights remain, an ally that still maintains its will on this occasion. Besides, that heavy knight captain should be high there among the Crusaders. If we focus on him, we might even be able to get back on our feet for good.

Firstly, it was defined as a heavily knighted unit full of creativity that should be covered, and Ursula began to advance through the square with light footsteps such as going shopping as well.

On that road, turning into a swept octopus, the newcomers are pushing on, but paying for it lightly with a drain arm, Ursula soon arrives at the hands of the heavy knights who play a decisive defensive battle.

"Sorry."

"Goddamn it, they're coming for an example! All personnel, defensive posture -"

As a matter of course, a knight in a thick helmet, while that's also in the middle of a fierce battle, can't possibly hear Ursula's little voice or anything. Even if I heard it, I wouldn't have time to deal with my child for a long time.

They are now mindless only to intercept the many octopuses looming together like a dango from right in front of them. Seriously, this place is clear of fog, so I guess I can recognize my enemies with clarity, so I'll concentrate even more.

I'll see what happens. But if ignored, it is yet another matter that makes me feel muddled.

"I don't realize, because I'm in a narrow field of view. I'm an amateur, huh?"

With such a slight vice, Ursula decided to quickly clean up the enemy in front of them, in order to draw attention to herself first.

Four drain arms fly away with the momentum of Ursula's little dissatisfaction that caught fire. It is convenient instead that the octopuses are hardened without roses.

The octopus disappeared, on the one hand, to the point that even the expression was still excessive: smashing insects crawling through the ground with a hammer, but as if, not too much.

"Hey, what! That's..."

It's me.

Ursula sits with a small chest up before Cliff turns aggressively.

"Stupid, where the hell is the magician"

"So it's me."

To the disrespectful amateur knight bastard trying to get himself through everywhere, Ursula forced Anastasia to put on a thoughtful cancer.

"Wow!? Ko, what is this!?

"It's my first magic (original). I've been letting you out since you were fighting at the gate, didn't you see?

"Oh, no, I could see a white wind magical attack wiping out a Devilfish monster... but I didn't know a little kid like you was a surgeon"

"It's a big pit."

Oh man, Ursula scoffs at Cliff's lack of situational awareness, but his say will be utterly legitimate. Because it's basically unlikely in the Crusaders who are constantly promised luxurious military strength, such as having children under the age of fifteen standing on the battlefield.

But there are exceptions to everything. In anticipation of that talent, the general may allow him to accompany him specially, or there may be a special unit formed solely of children for certain reasons.

"You must be one of those who has evacuated the neighbouring village."

"Ursula, Apprentice Sister of the 202nd Pioneering Village. This is my magic, Princess White Night Fork (Anastasia)."

Why is the child fighting? That question will never come out of Cliff's mouth if it comes in front of Ursula, who can follow the unusual signs of magic. Yes, I can't help but understand that she is a child with special powers who can cross with a large group of monsters.

"I want to evacuate the villagers here. I'll cover you, help me."

"Damn, as a knight, I can't let a little girl like this fight, even if you have strong powers... I can't do it under these circumstances. Thank you, Miss Ursula, for your help."

"It's quick and helpful."

Yeah, yeah, before Ursula snorted dignified, Cliff started acting without distracting herself.

"Re-formation around the church. Recall the soldiers and build the defensive line again. As soon as we get together, we secure our way out. We will retreat to the Alsace Fortress as we evacuate the people!

Cliff's instructions fly early in the arrow succession. First, his men, the Heavy Knights, began to move, raising their voices to call back the fleeing soldiers. At the same time, he called on the villagers who fled the monster and rushed into the square to rush into the church first.

"Wow! If you don't want to die, put up your spear! Running away will only get you stabbed in the back!

"Hurry up! You'll be safe up here!

A square that turns into a crucible of confusion, but surely soldiers and villagers are starting to gather together only because this is the only place where the deep fog clears and, then, the formidable heavy knights are preventing a horrible mass of monsters.

Forget the pride of the knight and the duty of the soldier, it is obvious that this place is now the safest in the village, even if it was just a hipster who escapes for his own preservation. It was also the human psyche that made those gathered here feel more secure than literally trying to escape to the other side of the Gori fog.

If you notice, there were dozens of soldiers gathered in front of the church, and they were beginning to form a decisive quadrant again alongside heavy knights.

But the number of enemies that strike them is exceptionally low than the battle in front of the main entrance earlier. Nothing else, because there's Ursula behind them now.

"Hey, man, what's going on with Command!

"That's so utterly annihilated! Acting base commander, officers, they're all in the belly of the octopuses. Captain Cliff, you must be at the top of your class by now."

If the command of the supply base grabs one of the soldiers who has fled a certain direction and asks him, he returns such an answer.

"Goddamn it, I'll take over command!

Literally alone, he seems to regret it, but Cliff's voice has a delightful emotional color on it.

Ursula knows. That the official base commander here was that dumb mushroom-headed marshram, and that his deputies after he went missing were also incompetent, just like him, unwilling to run the base on Matomo.

Most importantly, it would be impossible not to mention a samurai medal on the battlefield, but also such a halfway base that is not an important base, and so on, where it is entrusted, it is not a shard of yall chi. Like Cliff, it's rarer to be weirdly jealous.

And he's now apparently satisfied with everything that he's done with his top notoriety, Ursula guessed.

"Men are stupid."

Crushing the reciprocal dialogue of the romance novel, she continued to wave Anastasia's arms in order to safely gather one or more soldiers.

"Awesome, totally prevent them"

"Hey, don't be alarmed, I'm going to have to run away from this!

"Fire! Burn the fire! They're vulnerable to fire!

"Those who are unarmed, hold the pine light! Keep them close!

Accelerating, the Crusaders are rebuilding their posture.

With Ursula's support, we can hold out temporarily, leaving room in our soldiers' hearts and hope.

The number of soldiers gathered has already increased to about fifty. Furthermore, the villagers of the men who had been evacuated to the church, or the boys who had not yet reached adulthood with a critical mass of courage, began to come into support with weapons and pine lights in their hands.

With the total number of villagers in addition to soldiers, nearly a hundred, if only a simple number, are the initial strength. And perhaps this is also the last force left in this 203rd pioneering village. At last, there were no more shadows rushing into the square, and only green octopuses were pushing from the other side of the fog.

"Miss Ursula, we can't possibly hope for the survival of the villagers any more! Start retreating!

I can also agree with Cliff's opinion that Ursula was observing the surrounding situation while fighting and calmly settling in. But I couldn't get an instant answer.

Priest Chloe hasn't come back yet.

"... Lord Chloe will be fine."

After a little thought, I concluded so. With the power of this awesome "White Night Fork Princess (Anastasia)," you don't have to worry about anything if he can still afford to deal with you. Even if we start retreating here, we'll be able to find this one and rendezvous soon.

Ursula nodded, yeah, by herself, and then it was then that she tried to tell Cliff of her acceptance.

"Wow!? De, here comes the big one!!

A giant toenail stood against the cobblestone of the square, as it extinguished the soldier's cry.

Large tentacles of great thickness and length, like trees, stretching from beyond the fog. At the earliest, the tip-growing claw has a size and sharpness equal to the dragon's hook claw rather than the spear.

And at the end of the great tentacles that stood like towers were giant heads raised high in heaven. A dark, pocky, wide open round mouth on the bottom of the head turns this way trying to suck everything.

"Oh, I'm a mess!

Ursula has just witnessed with Chloe that a large octopus of 10 metres, a size that draws a line with overflowing miscellaneous fish, spits a powerful acidic brace out of its mouth.

If we eat that one time, we'll be all over ourselves, densely outnumbered by the enemy. It must be like a drooling breastfeeding and be their delicious bait. It's purple dripping trout from the mouth of a big octopus. Look who it is, Ursula's spine gets icy.

"All I know is we can do something about that big..."

Back off, I'll do it.

Retaining Cliff, who is still going to jump out, Ursula steps forward.

Which way, where the heavy knights were about to leap, the big octopus would release the acid brace faster. Because the large circular mouth makes an intake noise called a burst, and it's already in the preliminary motion of firing.

"Me and Anastasia's serious...... I'll show you!
