Kuro no Maou

Episode 573, Invitation.

The matter of Rinfeld was arranged for information to go to Avalon, Sparda and the two armies through the Adventurer's Guild within that day. Thanks to Royal Nell and two big men named Celis, the great nobleman, who literally gave me about the buck, I think the story went pretty smoothly. I'm also now famous as a Rank 5 Adventurer, but in Avalon, that name value also drops a step. The presence of the two was greatly appreciated.

Finally, I sent a letter spelling out the circumstances to my soul ally Will, who was a good adviser on the delicate issues involved in the country and royalty of this hand. Expect me to come up with an idea that doesn't make things rough and allows me to arrest Rinfeld successfully.

When that was over, Avalon's graceful streets were already dyeing red at sunset, and I decided to go straight back to the temple. If Nell and Sellis apologized for letting him hang out with the boring, he was returned with a warm smile and "don't worry". Really, I'm left to take care of you both.

"- I see you had an unexpected harvest."

After a careful dinner at the temple, I exchanged Fiona and Saliel back from the investigation and I told them what happened today.

"You were worth every day walking around the city of Avalon"

The poison Fiona throws up naturally, making her chest painful. Maybe he doesn't have any other intentions, and he seems to be saying it in the right way.

"As it were, well, that's the thing, regrettably, but so far it's up to the Avalon army to move"

"Isn't it faster to let Sariel assassinate you, too?

"If the Master commands you"

"I only have a feeling it's going to work great, but I can't take a slight risk. Stop it, seriously."

Nell told me about the address with the orphanage. Stupid. Honestly, that if Lynnfeld doesn't move from there, he can identify where he is. Besides, if you're running away to some distant country, that's fine. Lynnfeld has no connections or power whatsoever in the Pandora continent, she is just one girl. The cathedral junction (sanctuary) is amazing magic, but even if it can only be made up of its abilities, the adventurer, like me, will be at best.

But it is the greatest element of anxiety that exists in Avalon, where the monastery of Aria is at the mercy of the Crusades. We don't know when Rinfeld will return to the army through them. Or maybe there's something about using the mysterious charm of attracting strangely handsome men to act as monastic idols.

That woman is so uneasy to me, my hindsight worries. I just don't have to say no... should I resent the country called Avalon and its prince, or my decision to greedily capture him alive?

"So, what about Fiona?

"Information is gathered in due course, I think. The size, sources of funding, influence, and fundamentals of the monastery are all...... but they must be partitioned by good conspirators. So far, I haven't been able to grasp any information on any suspicious movements."

Aria Monastery says she works daily in preaching the teaching of the Crucifixion with one hand of the Bible as a mild content that successfully misled the demonic exclusion part. They are not just preaching God's teachings, they are also actively engaged in numerous charitable activities and increasing the number of believers, especially in the favelas.

"As far as I can tell, it feels like a regular means for religious groups to gather their support."

Philanthropy, that is, making people believe in their own religion by directly helping them, well, I think it's something they do everywhere. On cold winter nights, hungry mothers and children who have exhausted their stockpiles rush in for help is determined by the temple or the church and the market. If life helps, then I believe in God and Buddha.

"But the problem is the scale of the activity"

To help people, I have money. As long as we have money, we can collect things, humans, and so on.

"I have received considerable donations from aristocrats and merchants, and I have heard that the feathers are very good."

"Yeah, you're right. I'm flashy enough to think of it as a rose sprinkler."

The head of it is the sumptuous cathedral that is under construction on the street of Avalon. If it looks better, people get together even better. Even a false authority, many believe, and even more time will make it real, too.

"What kind of magic did they use?

"I don't know. They have been showing up at Avalon since the beginning of this year, like they came down and gushed. At least, I can't imagine that we've been rooting for each side for a long time."

"Or does that mean the monastery brought in someone as amazing as Sole could be?

"I have always heard that Avalon is a domestic circumstance in which the Twelve Grand Nobles shred their sneeze. I can't imagine a convenient person being able to exert a great deal of influence on that alone."

Is that right? If there's such a thing, then you're the king. Shadow rulers, etc. are often seen in fiction works, but in reality, shadows are shadows. We have to turn to the shadows because it does not extend to the ruler of the table that shines in the light.

"Even Avalon is a king, but don't ask the Twelve Nobles they can't be strong."

Avalon says he has had a long time of peace while the power of the King and the Twelve Nobles remains in perfect balance. If all twelve nobles consign, they are supposedly influential enough to overthrow the kingdom, but it is unlikely that the nobles, rivals to each other, will unite.

"The circumstances are unclear, but in reality many upper classes are assisting the monastery. The biggest aiders among them are the 'Florence Chamber of Commerce', 'Holy Sword Heavy Industries' in the merchants, and the Azrael family in the aristocracy -"

The names that Fiona spoke from her mouth were all I had ever heard of, even though I didn't know much about Avalon.

The "Florence Chamber of Commerce" is the leading chamber of commerce responsible for distributing food commodities, mainly lifelines, wheat, etc., in the capital. Like the example of multilateral management, it extends its business hand to a variety of areas besides food. Restaurants and shops that ever walked through the city and named Florence were beyond counting.

"Holy Sword Heavy Industries" is the second-largest arms dealer in Avalon. The biggest company is the Grand Dwarf Industry, which, as the name suggests, is dominated by the Dwarves. Though "Holy Sword Heavy Industries" is second, they still say the scale is beyond that "Mordred Weapons Chamber". Well, Moldred is centered on Sparda, but this one deals with countries across the Lemurian Sea through the port of Serene, so something like that really makes a difference in the scale of commerce.

As for nobility, it doesn't usually sound familiar to me, but I think I've heard of the Azrael family somewhere... Oh, sure, Princess Nell, the SS captain who got involved with me, a guy named Helen, was named Azrael.

"- And it's the Arklite family. Rumor has it, it was this house that made the first donation to the monastery."

Speaking of which, you did. I heard it before, but now, that's a familiar name somewhere else.

"Arklight... wait, then Celis is"

"That guy, he's very suspicious. You should either cut the edge now, or use your friendship to explore it."

No way, I didn't know Sellis' home was in such a nasty position.

"Or maybe Mr. Chrono is more likely to be searching."

I don't want to think about it. I've known Celis for nothing but coincidence. It's only natural to compete in the Knight's Choice with Nell if he has the will and that skill... but it's impossible for anyone to predict that Chaossic Rio will break into that venue or that I'll jump after it.

But if you use that coincidence to tell me that Celis approached me, you can't deny it.

"Damn, what am I supposed to do..."

It wouldn't be an easy question to answer.

My wound hasn't healed yet. I'll be staying at Avalon for a while longer, so all I can do in the meantime - and it's when I'm caught in deep thought.

Master, it's a visitor.

Without silence, Sariel raised her voice.

"At this hour?

"Visiting hours must have passed."

Fiona and Saliel have clearance, so it's OK to stay in my hospital room, but otherwise it should be a gateway payment after the evening.

There is no possibility of a doctor, such as a check-up. Again, I wouldn't do that at this hour, and even if I did, Nurse Cole. Nice to meet you, just when this one called.

And most importantly, it is those who show up here with signs she does not know, beyond what Sariel has said of "visitors". Who the hell are you?

In Russia, tension persisted indoors.

"Coming."

The tricky footsteps stopped in front of the door of Pittari and my hospital room. And without putting in between, the sound of a knock echoes.

"Visiting hours are running out. Come back tomorrow."

Through the door, Saliel says it unilaterally.

Well, the other guy reacted...

"I came with the use of Master Lily."

What I heard was a young man's voice. I don't feel like it sounds familiar anywhere, but naturally, I can't afford to worry about that.

He said it was "Lily's use" that he did say now.

"Come on in."

The reason I said no was nowhere. Open the door now, and I can figure out where I want to cram it into a man named after me. I can't help but be in a hurry. I've been visiting you from the other side, so we're a lot of people here, let's talk.

"Excuse me, sir."

Look at the man who showed up, I'll be quick to convince. Sure, he definitely thought it would be Lily's messenger.

"That's Lily's" The Living Corpse (Living Dead) "... the long sword in" The Unnamed Nine Blades (Nameless Nine) "on its hips. Does that mean number one (ein)"

"Remember my name. It's an honor, My Lord"

What is surprising is the figure of an artificial human (homunculus), with a refreshing smile on his stern face, releasing a caged word of gratitude of emotion without precipitation.

The achievements of Lily's Avalon training. The nine youths with the same albino coloring face as Sariel are artificial humans (homunculus), faithful me (simobe) exercised by Lily's knitted special necromancy (necromancy), which is the 'living corpse (living dead)'.

I gave them the nine unnamed cursed weapons I won at the Curse Gladiator Games (Cars Carnival). As it is, it was taken over by the Nines as the same gear in the Galahad War, and they haven't even given it back to me after I left, so it's only natural that they still have it.

Lily, the surgeon, seems to understand, but I can't tell the nine living corpses (living dead) dressed the same face. So for some reason I sound like a German number, I was distinguishing their names given by Lily by the 'Unnamed Nine Blades (Nameless Nine)' that each had.

It was this Ein that was the first unit to be remembered and gave the Longsword's 'Unnamed Nine Blades (Nameless Nine)'.

The "Living Corpse (Living Dead)" outfit was an iron mask with a design like Smilemark on a creepy black surcoat, but now it's a men's clothing look that doesn't feel uncomfortable walking through the city, just like my personal clothes these days.

"This unnamed sword, deposited by the Lord, is now undergoing an evolution marked 'The Knight Sword of Diamonds'. If you wish to return it, Lily asks you to return it immediately."

"No, if you used it yourself to evolve it, you can use it"

Again, this ein talks as if he were a normal person. "Living Corpses (Living Dead)" should have been like the example of me (Simobe), a silent, emotionless corpse psychic (Necromancer), who can only be answered easily.

It would have evolved not as a weapon of curse, but as he himself.

"Let's get down to business"

"Jesus, My Lord"

After a courtesy, Ain took out a single scroll (scroll) over his nostalgia.

"Dear Lily, I have your message for you. Please, take a look."

Cut the seal on the spot and widen the scroll. Then, at the next moment, when I thought that the magic formation and letters written on paper emitted a white glow, large footage was projected into the air, like a television screen.

What you see on the screen is a dim room where you don't know what's going on. The dazzling bright red light shines the next moment I was staring and watching to see if there was a Lily figure somewhere.

"Huh!"

With such glare, I closed my eyes and turned away. But soon the light seems to have subsided, and I open my eyes again.

And there was Lily.

"- Hey, is this really showing? Are you okay? It's an important message I'm sending to Chrono, so just... eh? Have you seen it yet? Hey, hey, come on, say it!

The really noisy girl on the screen, Punska angry or rushing to fix it, is Lily I know herself. The period I was away from should be shorter than my life in Pioneering Village, but still, I just saw her cheerful face, and I missed it terribly, and, well, I was more than happy.

But I notice right away. That there is a clear difference between what I know about Lily and what Lily looks like on this screen.

"Long time no see, Chrono. The truth is, I want to see you now, but I'm not ready yet, so this time, this is how I decided to just send you a message. I'm sure the gentle Chrono is worried about me, even if I left on my own...... but I'm fine. I'm fine. Look, look, Chrono-"

Lily smiles softly and beautifully. Its radiant emerald eyes should literally have the power to attract people, but for some reason, it's only one.

Her original jade eyes, only her right eye. My left eye had the same black eyes I saw in the mirror every morning.

- It's me. I'm stronger.

And the red light instantly again.

It is, in one way or another, such a disastrous glow as I emit in The Demon King of Fire (Overdrive), etc. No, it wasn't a beautiful brilliance that a fairy should wear.

Such a monstrous light is emitted, however, no doubt from the fairy feathers of Lily. Or maybe it's not fairy feathers.

What Lily was growing out of her back was butterfly feathers like black magpies, hosting a red light as toxic as blood. Everything is different from the previous feathers, in color, shape and glow.

"Chrono would notice right away, wouldn't he? Both in these black left eye and red butterfly feathers."

Yeah, well, I'll be right there. It's intense discomfort. The different colors of the eyes, the changing feathers, and the more trivial such changes seem to be, the different atmospheres from Lily feel crisp even from across the screen.

"... are you really, Lily"

"Ugh, I've changed."

Lily replied to my soliloquy, which I accidentally crushed.

"I love you. I loved you, all the time. I'm sure, since the day we met, I've loved you... but you know, I've noticed. I don't love you. That means I don't love you enough."

Fiona was right, Lily loved me. Love feelings as heterosexuals, not love or friendship.

You should know the answer to that, but why? Now I have no idea what Lily means by words.

"So I lost. Hey, right, Fiona?

"... Mr. Lily"

Fiona's face was slightly flattered. Anger or vigilance... no, I'm anxious.

Her hand overlaps my left. I felt the fingertips involved, the palms I gripped, faintly, trembling.

"But I won't give up. Yeah, no. This is the beginning. A fool who doesn't know love, I finally woke up to true love -"

With a tranced look somewhere, Lily talks about love. Like a maiden in love. Like a dragon burning in anger. The figure, while beautiful and pitiful, gave a glimpse of some bottomless horror.

"So I made up my mind. I'm with Chrono all the time. I will never leave you again. Yes, forever, alone. It's just me and Chrono in paradise."

"Paradise?"

What does that mean? From the mouthfeel, it just sounds nuanced to me about even being forced... but Lily is clearly not looking right. Often, maybe it's not a joke.

"Don't lend me your ears, Mr. Chrono. Lily seems to have chosen the worst way she can think of."

"What do you mean?

"I'm marrying Chrono."

Again, Lily on the screen said away to answer my question.

"On the 6th of the month of the first fire, I'm picking up Chrono. Heh heh, you don't have to prepare or worry about anything. Chrono just needs to wait for me."

Do you think Lily will show up that day? But on the 6th of the month of the first fire, that date...

"It's been a year. The 6th of the month of the first fire is the day we lost in Alsace. For Chrono, it was the hardest day...... but that's why I chose this day. I will make you forget all those painful and sad memories with the most joyful memory of your life"

Satanic grin. Did you think so because Lily is trying to make that battle memory look like it wasn't all there?

"Oh, yeah, I'll send Fiona an invitation. I'm letting Ain have it, so take it. You are my best friend... and I will give you the last chance to say goodbye to Chrono. I'm lonely, but I'm glad you're blessing me and Chrono, both of you."

Lily thus lifted her usual Enchantville Road one-piece dress, its black hem, with a light hand and one elegant bow.

"Bye, Chrono. Look forward to the reunion day."

So, the footage is over.

I guess the video itself is a kind of light magic. The open scroll was ineffective and, at the earliest, it did not dwell in any light.

I was just half-hearted by Lily's vague message about not getting the procedure, and I didn't get the word out right away.

"That's all the messages Lily has left you. And this is an invitation to Fiona."

Fiona stared often at the softly offered white envelope with a red waxed invitation, and received it as she had decided.

"Now, if you'll excuse me for this"

"Wait, Lily..."

"I'm sorry. At present, only the Creator Lily has the right of my superior command. I am unable to answer any questions because I have been told that any extra information will be strictly forbidden."

"I'm not going to crack your mouth, you mean... okay, then, that's enough. Just go home."

"On top of that, I apologize for the disrespect, My Lord"

"Never mind. Instead, give me one message."

"Whatever."

"It was nice to see Lily's cheerful face," he said.

"Ha, sure, I got it. But I know that the Lord's heart has already been passed on to Master Lily."

"I hope so."

Now I've lost my reason to hold back, and I've allowed Ain to leave. But that's when he put his hand on the door, this time Fiona raised her voice.

"Saliel, drop him off"

"Yes, Master Fiona"

"As it is, I forbid you to return here until noon tomorrow. I'm with Mr. Chrono, and I need to talk to him."

Copy that.

Sure, if we're going to discuss Lily, should we start with Fiona and me?

That day I went back to Sparda. Beginning with my confession of sin, and since Lily left crying, I'm finally about to face the problem I've been postponing for so long.

"... Mr. Krono, I need a favor"

That's how Fiona cut out the two of them as they exited and in a quiet hospital room.

"Oh, what the heck - whoa!?

Instead of what I asked for, it was a kiss that flew in. He's an enthusiastic one, like the one who's been hitting on the insatiable cravings I've endured all along here lately.

I don't know, I'm impatient, too, but I just kissed him and he blurred my head.

Slightly awhile, after being devoured by my lips, it finally leaves me.

"Hold me."
