Kuro no Maou

Episode 644: Into the Black Forest

That day, he returned to the Inn only to greet the Great Cleric Agnor Mistrea, the head of the Temple of Morrigan.

Grand Cleric Agnor is an old man with a long skinny dark elf who, honestly, is more intimidating than King Sandra when he is in front of him. I'm not even laughing at Nicole, I'm a little tired of being exposed to sharp glances like I'm fixing this one.

I was afraid of the look and the atmosphere, but the content of the story itself was terribly clerical, and all I said was that it was a precaution to go into the black forest, or what kind of place the temple where the original monolith was.

I finished the conversation early because it was the minimum conversation I needed, but it was only a little late to leave.

The temple of the Black Forest is not close enough to be reached with a convenience store feel. Normally, they say it's a road trip that takes more than half a day to keep walking in the woods and finally get there. Moreover, since there are no very well-kept paths or anything like that, without the guidance of the clergy, even adventurers confident in the sense of direction would almost certainly be shipwrecked.

The Black Forest is an authentic shrine with even more intense magic than the Temple of Morrigan. One of the effects would be that the sense of direction drives me crazy even more. Forest gods are whimsical, so you have to invite strayed people straight into the world of God, real god concealment also occurs or something? In this other world, seriously, I think there's a hiding place.

We are also supposed to have a guiding cleric as we proceed through the Black Forest, where there is a very high risk of shipwreck.

That's what gave me the perfect welcome at the gate, Mr. Brigitte.

No way, it's not a wack to come in that outfit...

"Isn't that guy suspicious?

"Oh, my God, Fiona, from scratch to stick."

Back at the lovely Treehouse Inn, we were gathered in the room to discuss a chat and tomorrow's Monolith survey.

Lily's on my lap. Across a small table, Fiona sits face-to-face and Saliel sits next to her.

"If it's just jealousy that makes you suspect, it's better for you to stop."

Lily says something provocative in her toddler appearance.

"Jealousy? Is it that breast size and heel?

"Yes, we don't have it. It's an adult charm."

"Then isn't Mr. Lily the most jealous? It's the smallest."

"No, sometimes I envy someone who can have more because he can have more."

"I see, the boulder is Mr. Lily. Let him speak of jealousy, and there is no one to go out to the right."

Will you stop having such a critical conversation like playing with fire in a gunpowder bank? Subtle, it stirs up more anxiety that Saliel is in a state of collision.

"Actually, I think I'm suspicious, too."

"But if Lily has feelings for them, you know what I mean.

"No, I couldn't read my mind either"

Lily's telepathic abilities allow the other person's emotions to perceive somewhat, even completely unconscious. Especially if you have strong emotions such as joy and sorrow, the louder you feel it sounds?

First of all, this alone can break through in a normal human mind.

But if there is not as much wave of emotion as it feels, or is hidden, Lily can concentrate her telepathy and read her mind even more. This concentration, is something that feels like clarity in your ears, staring and staring.

Even those who are good at hiding their emotions or have some mental protection can almost read it if Lily focuses.

"Neither the Great Cleric nor that woman named Brigitte could feel anything. I wonder if boulders are real Druids or something like that."

At the very least, the two are definitely better at mental protection than a line that prevents telepathy or the art of concealing the mind.

And it finally takes telepathic hacking to get into the minds of such people. Let's call it splendid spiritual magic.

Because of its mental magic, it was normally attacked with magic as a recipient. Being solemnized, even without physical damage, is considered an act of total hostility.

So Lily can only do it to the point of focusing and exploring telepathy.

"But isn't that just because you two are such powerful people"

"Even if I couldn't read it in my mind, it was suspicious enough."

"Really?

"Yeah, I was staring at Mr. Crowe."

Is it because of your mind that something, Fiona says, is strangely suspicious?

"It is not Dear Fiona's subjective assumption. I also confirm that Brigitte gave the master the impression of watching."

Follow Fiona's opinions at the exact time, Sariel. Seriously, I think I followed the board better than my slave, Miss Fiona's maid.

Anyway, if Sariel affirms, I guess there's no mistake as an objective fact.

"You were looking at me, but... you were just being vigilant"

Well, this face.

You can't possibly fall in love with me at first sight or something like that.

"That's not true, Chrono!

"No, I don't need that kind of follow up right now,"

Lily, who was sitting well behaved on her lap, flips and hugs me. I'm happy to take care of you, but this kind of thing would be most appreciated if you'd come through.

"But did you really not notice, Mr. Chrono?

"No, oddly enough, I didn't think so."

Mr. Brigitte and I have only been dealing with each other for a very short time, from the reception at the gate, finishing our conversation with the Great Cleric and dropping him off when we return, but we have had an eye for the mundane applause.

Normally, anyone who meets me in the eye misses the fast track. But she was subtle to nature and gave me a gentle smile back.

It was me who missed my gaze. Staring at each other with that beautiful woman is a little too embarrassing on the face of it.

"Chrono is sensitive to hostility and homicide, but signs of favor, because he blunts as soon as possible"

"Right"

"No, I don't... I do, I'm sorry. Sorry I'm so blunt."

"There is no need for the master to be sick. Knowing its appearance and origins, it is found convincing enough to form a dull personality in favor"

"Come on, Sariel. No more, seriously, please don't."

I'm shocked I'm avoided because of my face! Talks like that are in every age with small and medium high. It's no surprise that Sariel, who has Shirazaki's memory, knows my tragic strong side episode, or if it's this mouthful, I know for sure.

Especially famous is that when I was in sixth grade, a girl cried out just because I was next to her in a change of seat... I'm more crying...

"Copy that. From now on, it is strictly forbidden to speak out."

Let's put my little trauma story aside and get back to business.

"Uh, what else did you think was suspicious?

"That there were only those two men in the temple, right?"

If you ask me, it's a splendid, big Morrigan temple for a long time, but I've only seen two of them, Mr. Brigitte and the Great Cleric. It shouldn't happen to be a wack that these two are the only ones watching. Inside the temple, no sign of anyone else was felt at all.

I think there were only two of us in the Temple of Morrigan, as long as we hadn't erased the signs like the assassins.

"The temple has obviously seen signs of two or more people operating. I dare say that I am deliberately paying on this day."

"In a temple of this size, it's impossible for two priests to be normal."

"The Temple of Morrigan is the main mountain of the Druid. It is presumed that clerics are enrolled on a hundred scale"

"I see... sure, there's no explanation for that unless it means something"

But I don't know what that intent is any more.

Sometimes, for example, I happen to be off today, or there are temple rules that we don't know about and just follow.

"But the most suspicious condition is that we only guide Chrono."

"Besides, she's the guide."

In a story with the Grand Cleric, this was the only condition imposed on the investigation of the original monolith.

I'm the only one entering the Black Forest Temple. And it was decided that it was Mr. Brigitte who would guide us on the road.

"I'm deliberately leaving you alone, are you?

What the hell does that mean?

It is firmer that it is due to religious mystery rules that outsiders do not understand than to doubt strange thoughts.

"I don't think we're going to do any harm to the boulder."

"I don't know, I wouldn't be surprised if there was an altar of sacrifice in the back of that forest."

"We've been getting permission from King Farren for a while. No matter how much, you won't be hostile."

"I can't be sure. Due to the characteristics of the Black Forest, it is possible to admit whoever is missing if you claim to have been disturbed and shipwrecked"

I also feel overly attentive, but I'm pretty sure what Saliel says is true, too. A place called the Black Forest is no better place to commit a complete crime.

"That's why I'm going to stop because it's a little suspicious, and you're not going to be wacky."

"Yeah, let's just be vigilant for one second, while we do what we're supposed to do."

"Mr. Chrono, I don't know what kind of trap there is in those woods. But be careful."

"If anything happens, if you raise a flash bomb over the sky, I and Master Lily will be able to fly to the rescue immediately."

"Don't worry so much. It's not like they're gonna eat you."

That kind of wacky atmosphere made me feel rather suspicious, but I'm going into the Black Forest tomorrow on my own, as planned.

The next day, the 12th of the month of platinum. He left the Inn at sunrise and headed straight to the Temple of Morrigan.

"Good morning, everyone. I've been waiting for you."

If you knock on the gate, it's still the same Mr. Brigitte who welcomed you yesterday. The same was true of the example costume, which had trouble with the place of eye. Seriously, are you really going into the woods in that outfit...

I tell her I'm going into the Black Forest on my own, just like you said. Lily, Fiona and Saliel leave a message at this temple.

"Are you ready?

"Yes."

There is another condition for entering the Black Forest, which is disarming. Well, let's go into a place like the sanctuary, so it would be half natural to refuse to bring in a blood-scented weapon. It's pretty much the same everywhere around here.

I have more weapons in my possession than a normal adventurer. It's a hassle, so I left the whole shadow space (shadowgate) with the sheep and had them stay away. Whatever, in human form.

So now next to Sariel, he's staring at me, disarmed without a single weapon of curse, with some worried, lonely look on his face.

"Your husband..."

"Excuse me, I'll check just in case"

"Kah! Don't touch Sheep's Master with ease. Whoa!

"Sariel, will you shut the sheep up for a second?"

"Yes, master. Maid, excuse me."

"Sally's traitor oh, fugafuga!!

I laughed bitterly at Brigitte, making sure Sariel blocked the sheep's mouth. I'm sorry, my kid's so loud.

Then go ahead, and I'll hold up on the spot. Finally a body check.

The outfit is dressed in 'Devil's Embrace (Bafomet Embrace)' because it has not even been specified as an outfit. Although the boulder has NG armor helmets.

But it's a dumb story to trust self-declaration as it is, beyond wearing clothes that don't bother you with a cache of weapons called robes.

Mr. Brigitte touched the line of my body, looking used to it - wow, it's so close. Didn't you go to a wack to get another man's cleric or something to check on you?

It's not that kind of atmosphere without that mind, but if a fantastically dressed beauty touches me all over my body with a betta, I don't have a wack of not responding at all as a man. At times like this, I'm like, "Lucky, it's good for you!" and I envy a guy with a light personality who can honestly rejoice. I keep thinking in the wrong direction, and I won't say it's painful. Besides, Lily and the others are watching...

"Oh, my God, I'm sorry for your loss. Now, Master Chrono, I will take you to the Black Forest."

Safely surviving a rigorous body check, I finally set foot in Phalen's sanctuary.

Lily smiled and dropped you off, and both Fiona and Saliel had a cool look. At least, I'm not offering any obvious vigilance. Only sheep looked like they were going to cry until the end, but they'll be back tomorrow, so you won't have to worry about that. Am I a child?

Anyway, I'm on my own with weapons. Even if they didn't have any thoughts, let's be careful at best. Even in this forest, monsters would normally inhabit.

To the Black Forest, you get it from behind the Temple of Morrigan. This didn't mean that there was an inward-looking gate, but things like a small altar like Mr. Gizo seemed to indicate that from here on out is the realm of the Black Forest.

A small, not even vast, path stretches back towards the depressed and lush woods. For one thing, they're going to walk this way.

"Isn't there a monster out here?

I started walking in the quiet woods for a few minutes.

It's also painful to be too silent, so for one thing, wave a difficult topic to see. In fact, it is also of the utmost concern in the current situation.

"Yeah, monsters live in the black woods, but they rarely show up on their way to the temple. It looks like this, because the passage has boundaries."

I guess nothing in particular feels the same type as a strong junction for urban defense, like the walls of Daedalus and Sparda.

"Instead of an alarm,"

"There's that too. Monsters up to medium size will keep you away from nature and the road."

Are you saying that if any more guys come in on the path, they'll sense it and let you know the danger too?

"So you can be a little more distracted, Master Chrono"

"Does it look that way"

"Ugh, there's no one's eyes here anymore. It doesn't have to be verbal, it doesn't have to be."

"Uh... should I?

"Yes, and it's very unusual for customers to come from outside. I've never been out of Morrigan since I was born… so please tell us what you're doing as an adventurer for Krono."

Wow, you say that with a nice smile, you want me to stop you because you're going to gouge your manhood. This is definitely a pattern where if you're in alcohol or something, you get on with it and you brag about Bella and yourself.

Are you deliberately trying to get me on board to explore me?

"My adventurer life stinks of blood, like a woman frowning if she asks."

"Adventurers pursuing dreams and romance, on the other hand, have a harsh reality of fighting horrible monsters. There, I intend to understand very well."

It's not just a dreaming maiden, I guess... um, the end of the Galahad war and

Except for the strongest talking fight with Lily in the meantime, well, is it a fine line to tell people? The battle of Ischia or something, honestly, ended with a happy ending.

"Hehe, you're sweet, Master Chrono. I can't believe you took into account not to make me feel bad."

I didn't know you would call this gentle consideration. It's rather distressing when interpreted in such a good direction.

"But don't worry. Not that I have nothing to do with fighting demons, either."

"Well, then, there's not much I can do to keep it a secret, either, so I'll tell you as much as I want."

"Thank you. It's still a long way to go to the temple, so you can take your time."

As I say, Mr. Brigitte walking next door, comes packing the distance. Ah, close enough, my shoulders are about to touch each other.

Unexpectedly, I looked back and checked to see if Lily hadn't seen it. I'm not bad.

"In the meantime, shall we talk about it from the time it was a Rank 1 rush out in Sparda?

"Yes, please."
