Kuro no Maou
Episode 745: The Adventurous King Xanadu
Anyone living in the desert knew that there were enormous ancient ruins in the middle of the Atlas Great Desert. But no one has seen it with its eyes.
To head into the middle of the harsh Great Desert was impossible for the people of the early Dark Ages, when all sorts of magic techniques were lost.
But from scratch, one step at a time, people start to move forward with civilization.
When a desert ship was built that proceeded on a quicksand cruise through the Great Desert, marking the era of the Great Voyage of the Desert, where full trading began to flourish, those who sought to find the legendary Great Labyrinth also appeared.
While numerous brave and reckless sailors were drunk in the desert, one ship finally arrived.
There was a huge tower high enough to rush through heaven and a vast maze of labyrinths told in legend beneath it.
Soon the route will open and the adventurers will come for the Great Labyrinth attack.
At first, a base camped by several groups of adventurers. Eventually, more adventurers and merchants came along and a small port town formed.
- Let's call it Carla Mara.
It is said that it was a well-known archaeologist who so named it.
From the monolith in the Great Labyrinth, he decrypted and uncovered the ancient language that apparently this place was called 'Carlamara'.
Karamara develops as the name of the right town settles and then the Great Labyrinth attack progresses.
And after hundreds of years, by the time the fourth layer of the Great Labyrinth was finally broken through and the adventurers reached the fifth layer, rumored to be the lowest, Carlamara had become the most prosperous metropolis in the Atlas Great Desert.
All the first adventurers to attack the hierarchy are considered heroes in Carla Mara's history. Every time a hierarchy is attacked, new discoveries, excavations, and loot are available, and the city develops further.
The fifth layer of the Great Labyrinth, which is seen as the last hierarchy. With the greatest honor of a complete offense to the bottom, Carla Mara was surrounded by the enthusiasm of the adventurers at the time.
Xanadu is one such adventurer.
"I'll attack the fifth level, you bastards!
At the time, Xanadu was eighteen.
Born and raised in Carla Mara, both parents are adventurers. At an early age, he had lost his life in an untouched realm attack on the fourth tier.
Xanadu, who became heavenly lonely as a child, but enough to throw up and throw away in this Great Labyrinth city of Carla Mara, such as a child in such a situation.
Xanadu grew up with the talent he inherited from his parents, who were brilliant adventurers.
At first, the adventurer's small use. Then he stands alone at twelve and takes a similar child to form an adventurer party. Many times he was in danger of his life, losing his people, but growing up as an adventurer.
And when the road was opened to the fifth tier, Xanadu was 18 years old and gaining strength to reach Rank 5. I've just risen to Rank 5, but its strength is real.
As a 'magic swordsman' who uses both swords and magic, Xanadu's name passed.
"Look, just don't let the Sylverian guys get ahead of you."
The Silverian clan is a prestigious clan, the owner of a ship that discovered the Great Labyrinth and also made a significant contribution to the construction of Carlamara. If this Carlamara was not a council system by merchants, but a royal government, it boasts the greatest power, so much so that perhaps they would have become royal.
Being the best elite in Karamara, they are very incompatible with a grown-up like Zanadu.
Neither myself, nor my present companions, have ever had a rub with a Silverian adventurer once or twice. For Xanadu, they were both their biggest rivals and enemies of uncluttered heaven.
"- All right, let's go, guys!
Getting ready, Xanadu challenged a fifth tier offense with his friends.
Of course, you will not succeed in the first attack. In addition to being an unknown realm that has not even been mapped to Locke, monsters even more powerful than the fourth layer have emerged, making the offense difficult to navigate.
But over and over again, each time he returns alive, brings back information, tries to work out measures and retries - little by little, but surely, Xanadu went on to the fifth level.
"Perhaps this is our last chance."
The last thing that stood was still the deepest boss monster.
He was the right and last boss to deserve, powerful for the difference in digits from the monsters that have so far appeared in the Great Labyrinth.
Even the Xanadu, the Rank 5 Adventurer Party, boast vicious power that if they are forced to attack, they will soon be wiped out. Therefore, even against the last boss, he repeatedly challenged the challenge and retreat and worked out countermeasures, as did other competitors, including Silverian.
From what I've looked at the movements of other adventurers, it's no longer a strange situation for anyone to defeat the boss.
This is the only time to grasp the honor of the first fifth tier offense.
"Make sure you take him down, and today, we're gonna be legends!
Thus, after a long and intense death fight - Xanadu prevailed.
Everyone in my crew was just critically wounded and spared from death, but without missing a single one, the party fought through. Strength, rather than a miraculous fortune at the end, but also a late victory.
"Finally got it, give me this key!
Behind the boss room is a huge gate that boasts even the greatest size and robustness in the Great Labyrinth.
And the key to opening this closed giant gate is carefully hanging from the boss's neck.
To get the key, having to defeat the boss was lucid enough for anyone to see.
Too obvious, but I can't help but hope. What treasure sleeps beyond that gate?
That is now evident by the hands of Xanadu.
"Ooh... this is... awesome!!
The open hall was, rightly, an ancient treasure trove.
Spread out in front of you is a mountain of gold and silver treasures that fills a huge hall. And without having to use appraisals, a number of powerful and scarce weapons and great magic equipment (artifacts).
No way, all of this is in the hallucinations that the dungeon trap shows, I suspect, and ask my fellow wizards to de-curse me - but the mountain of treasure in front of me won't disappear.
"Wow, it's real... this is all real treasure!
The limits of his health, while bloody worn out, Xanadu exploded a joyful ambition with his companions.
Previous hardships, sacrifices, everything was for this. My adventurer life was rewarded. It is a moment of fulfillment of a dream of miracles that cannot be accomplished by an ordinary man.
"Hey, hey, look - maybe I'm the one with the original monolith?
After a huge exclamation of excitement in a mountain of treasure, Xanadu finally realizes.
Seated across the dazzling golden mountains, creepingly black, and in the presence of giant stone slabs.
As they stepped on the carpet of Zakuzak and ancient gold coins, Xanadu and the others approached the original monolith, especially the giant ancient stone slab they called it.
"Sure, if you can use him, even the dungeons are free to manipulate..."
I knew all about the original monolith because it was Xanadu that got me to Rank 5 Adventurer.
Knowledge of ancient sites is particularly inclined to be kept secret. It is information that you will not hold on to if you do not pile up a lot of money.
"Look, if we can use him well, we can rule this maze."
I said that in half a joke, at that time.
"- Let's give"
I heard voices.
"Who! Everybody, stay alert!!
The moment he heard an unfamiliar, somewhere inorganic voice, Xanadu took an immediate battle stance.
But it soon became clear that it was not an enemy raid.
"Let's give, let's give everything"
"What... is Monolith talking...?
The voice is emanating from the original monolith, a giant tablet of pitch-black.
Everyone turned their gaze there, and that's when the black surface lit with a golden glow.
The golden line of light, lit by Russia, runs vertically and horizontally through the monolith surface - eventually forming one shape.
That was, like, a big eye.
The first of the huge golden colors floating on the monolith, blinking, said:
- My name is Carla Mara.
Xanadu, Great Labyrinth Fifth Layer Attack.
The news instantly spread to Carla Mara.
It was Xanadu, the only one who defeated the last boss, opened the treasure trove, and took possession of its mountain-like treasures.
My people died in the boss battle.
Miraculously, Xanadu survived alone, with all the treasures and, as the first complete Great Labyrinth attacker of all time, with honor in his hands.
From the adventurers of Silverian, who were rivals, Xanadu criticized him for being the last despicable man to betray his people and keep the treasure to himself. But there was no evidence whatsoever and no one tried to attack the Fifth Layer right now just to ascertain the truth.
Whispering criticism and conspiracy theory vanish before Xanadu's feat of a fifth tier offense in reality.
With this feat Xanadu began to crown the title of 'King of Adventures'.
And, Adventure King Xanadu, his activities as an adventurer, this will be his last.
Xanadu will never dive into the Great Labyrinth again.
Based on the enormous treasure we have acquired, we started doing business.
Overwhelming financial power and the charisma and name value of the Adventure King. All commerce succeeds, and wealth calls for more wealth.
In just a few years Xanadu became the lord of Carlamara's largest chamber of commerce and also gained parliamentary status.
When he named the Zanadu treasury, and all the names of his own organization, he stood at the top of his power in Karamara.
Then a hundred years of the moon will flow, and to this day, there will be no shade in the power of the Xanadu treasury.
In just one generation, Xanadu, who had built an organization that was no exaggeration to say would rule Carlamara, was finally about to fall asleep permanently as he continued to boast of its glory.
Xanadu, 118 years old.
As a human being, he has an unusually long life, but Xanadu was successful in surviving this far by having excellent flesh and magic and by using the treasures of the Great Labyrinth.
But that's also the earliest limit. The legendary Adventure King also came to understand his own period of death.
Continental history 1597. The moon of darkness 25th.
That day everyone living in Carla Mara looked up at the visions that were all over the city.
Xanadu, the king of adventure, wants to hear his will for all who live in Karamara.
Most importantly, the tremendous legacy and numerous rights of the Adventure King have already been decided to be distributed to the body in the foundation. Most people rumored, and in fact, thought they were right, that it was fairly distributed so that, as far as possible, no rubbing would happen, headed by his children, many of whom were there.
Xanadu has long since left the line, both from business and politics. Everyone thought that even after his death, the same days would continue.
Still, everyone in the city is staring at Vijon and waiting for Xanadu's appearance because they know it's the last thing the adventurous king shows. The duty to see the end of the legend lies with those who live in Carlamara.
As such, Xanadu appeared inside the screen at a time as had been heralded in advance.
"... hey, dear Carla Mara gentlemen. I'm Xanadu... the King of Adventures Xanadu."
Xanadu, who began to speak in a tone like that of his youth, was a slender old man who, whoever saw it, was still dying.
Glossy flax hair, a pristine look, a succesful flesh. They are already long lost, bones and skins only, frankly, miserably old and decaying.
"As you can see, I'm a dead man, too. Look at this arm. I can't even wave my sword anymore."
Ha ha ha, even laughing at himself was somewhere bitter.
Still, Xanadu stands on both his own feet.
Even though it is clear that he is an old flesh that is about to collapse even now, it is only because he is a hero called the King of Adventures that makes him feel some grand sign.
"I can't swing my sword. You can't even shoot magic. It's been a long time since I've had an adventure... but I'm an adventurer, and I'm the King of Adventures, so I'm here for the last time."
The place where Xanadu stood was known at first sight by most.
A large entrance on the ground floor of Temennigle, a giant tower of ancient ruins, which makes it the heart of Carlamara and is also his castle.
A big gray...... no, this entrance, where the black monolith sits, is not just a doorway, but a gateway to the Great Labyrinth, which was used in the early days when the Great Labyrinth offense began.
Nowadays, it is mainly used exclusively as a high-ranking adventurer in the centre, but it is no substitute for being synonymous with the entrance to the Great Labyrinth.
Xanadu stands in such a symbolic place at the starting point.
"Hey, you know what this key is?
Xanadu, with his trembling hands, lets try to put up a big key that is lowering from his neck.
made of pure gold or shining in gold. The key to that is
It's the key to the treasure trove.
Yes, it's a real, treasure trove key. It is the key to opening the Great Hall in the deepest part of the Great Labyrinth, where Xanadu has acquired enormous treasures, most of which are said to remain asleep.
"There's everything about me over there. Gold and silver treasures are still mountains, and all the treasures I've got are thrown in there."
Swallow gossip and spit on the word with no one. I was told that a mountain of treasure that can only be told by legend still exists.
"- Let's give"
I didn't know what you were talking about.
"Let's give, let's give everything"
No one can keep up with understanding. Because if you take that word for what it means, it's too incomprehensible.
"I am Xanadu, the King of Adventures. I'll give you all my legacy."
Xanadu is powerful and protrudes its golden key.
"- Give me everything I have for whoever has this key!!
