Kuro no Maou

Episode 772: The ruling system

"Begin the Element Master Emergency Conference with this!

A whole pile of treasure disappeared, a vain space transformed into just a monolith storage area, and I screamed.

Lily, Fiona, Sariel, and all three of them wake up to see what's going on.

Then I only told Leki and Ursula, who were keeping them waiting outside the Las Boss room, that they were safe, but they are having their seats removed for the emergency meeting.

With that kind of wax, we stuck our heads together in front of a black original monolith that was now secured.

"Of course the agenda is about what to do after this…"

I won. Inheritance rights were in hand, but the treasure heap of the treasure trove, the bulk of the property at heart, disappeared with the disappearance of Carla Mara.

Even going back to the ground with a no-plan like this promised to be a hassle.

"Well, well, Mr. Chrono. The adventurer will have the treasure of a struggling dungeon."

Fiona, who is more grubby than monetary greed, can't see how she cared, even if she lost so much treasure.

It is the usual blurry face, calmly deposited itself.

"It is unexpected that we have lost enormous treasures. But if we succeed in securing the original monolith and master the system of the Great Labyrinth, I don't think it will interfere as much with Lily's plan."

Saliel, who doesn't even eat, talks pale.

When it's about Sariel on a boulder, he doesn't think it matters if he has something golden or something.

"I'm ashamed, I lost my memory, because I thought of everyone as a crusader, and all I could think about for now was stopping them from winning."

I mean, I didn't fully assume if I got the legacy.

Whatever you think, it's up to me personally to take control of Carla Mara and the legacy of Xanadu enough to be equals. Even if I could win, I thought it would be good if I could give up to Oren and provide a safe and secure living environment in Carla Mara, while getting enough credit.

"Besides, it's a wack that originally came solely for the original monolith. I didn't think this was gonna happen until I came to Carla Mara."

If only it had gone according to its original purpose, it would have just been nice to have been able to establish a condition that would have ensured and protected the original monolith as well as the Farren, Adamantoria, Varna, which has gone by.

Nothing, I didn't mean to rule Carla Mara at all, and I didn't see the possibility that I could do that.

"But looking at Lily's behavior so far... hey, are you really willing to rule this country?

"Yeah, I like it here. This is the only place we can get a whole country."

Lily, a young girl who seems to be sneering at the system while touching the original monolith, giggles at me.

Mouthfeel as if you've decided where to build your dream home, but it's not a single family building, it's a single country. It is the founding of the country.

"Country... are you there?

"You're here, to drive the Crusaders out of Pandora."

Lily is very serious.

Well, for me, preventing the Crusaders from invading is my biggest aim... but I never thought of myself leading the country, etc. Even if you think about it, you don't leave the realm of dream story delusions.

"Until now, I have sought to gain power over the Apostle."

"Yes, it's been accomplished, as of the Galahad War that defeated me"

Turning, we joined forces to defeat the Seventh Apostle, Saliel.

"It was like a surprise, but even if we interacted with two Mass and Mariabel on the ship, we have succeeded in defeating the two Apostles. I'm not so sure I can beat you yet, but I'm still not as strong as I can fight the power of the Apostle head-on."

As far as I'm concerned, I was hoping we could hone our strengths even further.

If only the Apostle could handle it, the rest would be a duel between the forces. If we continue to cooperate with the Spartan army like this, we can seal up the Crusaders in Daedalus territory for the first time.

"The use of monoliths, however, created a danger that the forces of the Crusades would occur throughout the continent. I'm sure there are other Hidden Cross people who have continued to worship white gods from ancient times to modern times, like Silverian."

Having actually fought the Knights of the Basilica in Silverian here, I was able to recognize with a sense of reality the threat of the Hidden Cross lurking in Pandora.

They don't just believe in crucifixion. Was it "Holy Mark (Stigma)"? He was using special magic to bring out and enhance white magic.

Not as strong as an apostle on a boulder, but at the same time you can believe, I guess you can also gain such strength.

If those guys were in the dark, they wouldn't know when and in what country a coup would happen and become independent as a crusader force.

At least, if Silverian had won, Carla Mara would have fallen into the hands of the Cross.

"So it's the limit that we're going against the Crusaders just because we're already acting as adventurers. If we're serious about stopping them, we'll have to lead the country and fight the Crusaders."

"Sparda is the only one who understands the threat of the Crusaders now."

I understand the logic.

But that's why I didn't even think of getting my country to protect Pandora...

"Lily's serious, what is it?"

"Yeah, I'd do anything to make Chrono's wish come true"

"Is it also an idol impersonation?

"Lily, I don't know if I can brainwash a customer."

"It's not brainwashing. I'm just drunk on my charm."

"Mr. Lily's concert, if I don't curse (dispel) it won't be over"

"That's all the charm I have...... Hey Chrono, how was it?

"Sorry, honestly, I pulled that off."

"No!?

"Don't interrupt Emilia, you poor thing. I..."

"Mr. Lily, you were still shallow"

"Shut up! As an idol, I'm beating Emilia! I'm the best, so make Chrono a fan of me too!

"Lily, why are you hostile to Emilia like that? --No, it's more about the future than that."

The story nearly derailed me with idle rigging.

There's a lot I'd like to say about Lily's idle activities, but that's fine later.

"So, what do you do? Do you want to take Mr. Lilly's truck and keep building your country?

"That's some nasty way of saying it..."

"I'm proposing for Chrono."

Hmm, he says with a cute inflated mouth, but the content is too heavy.

"First, I want to hear from Fiona and Saliel. What do you two think?

"I'm nothing, either. I can snort at the idea that we should have an army to fight the Crusades, but I also think it's a realistic choice to stay an adventurer and fight on your own all the time because it's troublesome"

Sure, I still just think of it as a big language, having my own army in interest of the country.

I'm not a politician in the first place. There's no way I'm confident I can run the country or anything like that.

I feel much more realistic to keep brushing my arms as an adventurer.

"I support Master Lily's proposed founding of the country. With Carla Mara's Great Labyrinth, we can train enough troops. If we can increase our strength, we will advise that we should work on it. The Crusaders are mighty and powerful, even without an apostle. Neither the famous Knights nor the Mercenaries in Sinclair participated in the Galahad War"

You mean the Crusaders aren't really like that yet?

In the Fifth Galahad War, it was already critical as a defensive war. Now in addition to the new apostles, if the elite Knights do famous mercenaries come forward, it wouldn't be strange to be broken through with a positive attack method.

"But this is just my personal draft strategy. All decisions are left to the master."

"Don't say that, Sariel. As a member of the party, you can give your opinion."

"... take care, thank you, Master"

That's not what I meant to say. It's okay.

Neither Lily nor Fiona is a wacko who seriously treats Sariel as a slave. Where I admit it, we both admit it properly... I think.

"Lily, are you deciding what exactly to do to win Carla Mara?

"Well... from what I've just checked, the original monolith has enough features to govern this country."

As Lily's little fingertips glimpse through the black monolith as she dances, the strings and shapes depicted in ancient characters shifts brightly and blindly.

And when Lily snapped something, she saw a 3D map projected by light magic in front of us.

Sure, you saw this in the Briefing of Fortress Galahad. Ancient ruins seem to have this holographic projection technique.

"Is that the whole map of the Great Labyrinth?

"Yes, from this depths to the surface."

Overall appearance includes a downward conical shape. The widest area is the surface, from which it stretches over five layers, decreasing its size in turn.

In the central part, from the surface to the deepest part, there is a structure like a cylindrical tower.

"This ancient site is like a giant underground facility designed for people to live here for a long time."

Arcology? That's the only place where many people can live, a completely environmental city, something like that.

Products like that SF would also be sufficiently possible with developed ancient magic techniques. In fact, that's exactly where I am right now.

"The first to fifth hierarchies have a clear role in each"

The first tier is the neighbourhood where people live.

'Ruin City (Undead City)' is truly a real stretch of city, but it means that many people actually lived there once. They weren't created as an area for the undead, originally designed in ruins style.

The second tier is the agricultural compartment for producing food.

Farms are still being built in the Great Plains (Evergreen). It is a rich land where many harvests can be expected, and then there is also a huge pool that mimics the sea. Agriculture, livestock and fishing can do anything there.

The third tier is a factory compartment that creates industrial products.

'Industrial Zone (Factoria)' just keeps mass-producing golem monsters now, but it used to make everything necessary for life, and it would have been able to produce equipment, weapons, etc.

The fourth tier is an area dedicated to harvesting mineral resources.

"Crystal Cave (Crystal Cave)" is still an artificially awkward terrain, the geology is being created, apparently. By manipulating the ground pulse with a monolith, it seems to be reproducing the environment in which the demonic stones of each attribute are generated.

The fifth tier is the hub that manages this huge facility.

The Golden Palace (Golden Palace) just seemed to be that golden temple-like golden picky spec because it was being shrined under the influence of Carla Mara God.

It was not only here but also outside the treasure trove that was turning into just a white wall. I guess this is what it is.

"The Great Labyrinth is a long, dungeonalizing influence that makes it impossible to have 100% control of all areas. Each hierarchy has been completely transformed into a dungeon and does not return, or there are quite a few ranges that are spread out on their own."

"Does that mean Carla Mara's Great Labyrinth can be attacked in the future? As an adventurer, I'd appreciate it, but isn't this a bad environment for us to use here?

"Not really. If we can run some of the hierarchies, we can produce food, industrial products, mineral resources, and much more. Of course, not everything is automatic, as in ancient times... but we have a lot of manpower. Carla Mara is a big city."

Forced labour of the Carlamara people underground...... for some reason, those words went by when I saw Lily smiling.

Lily, the kind heart fairy, doesn't do such a terrible thing. You won't, will you?

"Then the gold and silver treasures disappeared, but the treasures of the ancient ruins must remain."

"Maybe you mean there's a whole bunch of gear and equipment left, like Shangri-La"

"Yeah, so I guess you can take your time hunting for the treasure first, and then think about your plans for the future."

Well, depending on the ancient relics we can use, what we can do will change.

The infantry gear used by the Homunculus and the others alone is of considerable value, and with weapons like the four-legged tank that The Arrow of Judgment had, the power of the war would be even more enriched. Maybe a giant man-made heavy machine like Taurus, or a warrior aircraft (nightframe) that seems to be the main weapon of antiquity.

None of this is a one-dish thing that is never available in modern magic technology. If you can't get as much gold as you can, it's worth more than just gold and silver treasures.

"Okay, okay. Then let's explore the fifth tier. And then, including the upcoming response, why don't we decide on it all and then go back to ground--and by the way, about us, it's not broadcast on Vision anymore, is it?

"It's okay, because I let Sole stop first"

Good, because our confidentiality and privacy would be very troublesome if we were open channels.

"So let's get some rest here. 'Cause when you get back on the ground, you're gonna be busy."

"Oh, I knew you would..."

Ha, and with a slightly melancholy sigh, I rose to enjoy the ancient treasure hunt for a moment.

Then, we explored the fifth tier, which completely lost its golden glow and regained the appearance of an inorganic white facility.

Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, places like this don't feel very good because they remind me of that experimental facility. In fact, it must have been a living ancient site of function there, too.

Now put down my bad consciousness, I'm safe here, I could see what I was hoping for. It's not even a wacky thing that had nothing more to do with it than I expected.

Obviously, we discovered a huge hangar where large military weapons would have lined up, but neither the warplanes nor the spacecraft remained as one.

Perhaps many of the ancient weapons deployed here would not have returned as soon as all the planes had been deployed.

I don't know what the hell kind of final war we fought, but what's left here now was something like minimal armament and weapons for institutional defense. Most importantly, from modern values alone, it is an extraordinary substitute.

The treasure hunt was there, too, and today was a day of heavy fighting, so I decided to rest early because I was tired of the boulders.

The boulder should be called an ancient site in normal operation, this liberated fifth hierarchy is kept so beautiful that it does not seem to have gone through a thousand years of units. Besides, it even felt like the remnants of people's lives in this place for a long time.

It's as if time had stopped from the last moment this place was used and now it's moving out again.

In ancient times, like in "The Narrow Room of Coquitos," there was both a time suspension and the same technology, so maybe the facility was really preserved with the time stopped.

That kind of wax allowed us to jump straight into the shark bed without even cleaning it.

I don't know if it's the commander or the representative who keeps this facility, but it's the living space where the greatest man seems to have lived.

It's as big a bed as we have on our mansion, and it's been a long time since I've slept with Lily and Fiona... or you didn't let me sleep...

"... it's morning already"

Slightly killer landscape for a great guy's bunk, but the spacious bedroom is regulated by a lot of dim lighting.

However, I was confident that it was already dawn outside as a feeling in my body.

"Uh-huh... you can still eat it..."

Next door, naked Fiona is mumbling her really happy sleeping remarks. Let's keep him asleep.

"Morning, Chrono. Nice morning."

"What, Lily was awake"

And Lily, naked as well, has opened her eyes patchy over my body and greeted me.

She is naturally in a childhood state. I ran out of time last night to get back to who I really am.

Each other, although they wake up, don't feel like getting out of bed right away, and gobble up for a while as they are.

Lily also cared about Suyasuya sleeping Fiona, or she didn't dare come to talk to me.

As it is, I was thinking of darling Fiona until she naturally woke up.

"Hey, Chrono. There's only one thing I need to ask you."

Lily whispers with her mouth in her ear as she tells a secret story.

Little exhalation in my ear, a little ticklish.

"Oh, what?

"Is it scary that Chrono still leads people to fight?

I didn't immediately understand the intent of the question.

Fighting is something I'm used to. I don't like anything, but now, it's not like I hesitate.

Of course, I'm not going to be fighting alone.

'Element Master' thinks I'm the best party I can trust, and I didn't have as much hesitation in forming 'Attribute to Ashes (Ashes to Ashes)'.

"What do you mean, Lily?"

"You've only fought at parties since the Battle of Alsace."

Well, we're an adventurer party.

No matter how much you are recognized as a rank 5 adventurer, that's not a wack to be a general leading an army. Adventurers and knights are in a completely different capacity.

"If Chrono wanted to, he could have formed a big mercenary corps, not just a party of adventurers."

"You won't be able to. We've had the best of ourselves so far."

"Yeah, I'm sure that's not the only reason"

"Then what are you saying?

"Krono wanted to avoid leading a lot of people into battle. Like when I fought with the Vulcans... I can't stand everyone dying on my command anymore, even if I'm not afraid to die"
