Autumn Talk ②

"I'll make it today."

By the time the restaurant was closed, Alice told the Demon King so before heading to the kitchen.

Normal dinners are often made by the Demon King, but the role is not fixed otherwise. Sometimes this is how Alice makes it, or Lisa or Cosmos makes it. but Lisa doesn't stay very late due to her status as a minor and student (she went up this evening or so) and Cosmos doesn't come and go depending on her other work and mood.

When Alice cooks dinner, contrary to usual, the Demon King is in charge of cleaning and various closing tasks.

Wiping the table, replacing the vase water, there's quite a bit to do, but it's a familiar task and it doesn't take much time.

By the time the Demon King had finished his streets of work, Alice was also ready.

"Oh, what's with the aubergines today?"

"Yeah, I found a good eggplant at the market in the morning and bought it. It's just in season, and I thought this kind of taste would be good."

On the table are grilled eggplant, fried soaked, mustard pickled and pinched fried. There were enough eggplant dishes lined up to be too heavy for the time that the dates were about to change.

When it comes to autumn, it's a time of many delicious things, but autumn eggplant is one of them.

Sometimes, as Alice said, these seasonal exhaustions would be interesting.

"Master Demon, how about a drink?

"Thank you, then I guess I'll have it. Do you want to drink Alice?

"Yeah, I'll take it too"

Neither Demon King nor Alice is the type to drink alcohol as a habit from time to time, but they never dislike it. For example, in situations where there is a line of dishes that seems to suit alcohol, like right now, you may want to drink it.

The two got together to say a pre-meal greeting before proceeding to eggplant dishes.

The Demon King first put a skinned roasted eggplant on it with plenty of cuttlefish and grated ginger, drizzled soy sauce slightly, then cheeked. First the twinkly spiciness of ginger pricked my nose, and from beyond, the sweet juice of eggplant came juicy...,

"Ugh!

I poured a good amount of cold barley wine (beer) into the momentum.

Refreshing bitterness and carbonation irritation rush through the mouth to the back of the nod all at once, which adds to the flavour of grilled eggplant in multiple ways.

If you look at it, Alice leaned the glass the same way, tasting a long time of barley wine that looked delicious. It's adorable to have a little bubble around your lips.

And naturally this can't be enough to satisfy you, and the two of you with the engine of appetite on fire go on chopsticks with Don.

Did Alice say that the fried dipping and mustard pickling were sneaked in during the day and then chilled in the freezer?

Would you say that deep-fried soy sauce with a strong ginger flavour is a different direction from grilled eggplant? The eggplant's physique resembles a sponge and sucks a lot of moisture and oil, but this fried immersion also sucks the taste of pickled juice without leaking into that example, and so the flavor of the eggplant itself is claimed without disappearing.

When it comes to pickling mustard on one side, this one has a very different taste than the previous two species.

The aubergines with bright yellow mustard seemed spicy at first glance.

But it's not surprisingly or spicy to include it in your mouth as you get fit, but rather around cautioning that you can feel the sweetness of eggplant… and dokan and spiciness come later. Oh, what a spicy dish!

And these all go well with alcohol.

The demon kings opened up not only the barley but also the rice wine and started drinking. Most types of alcohol are the more you sell, so you can drink as much as you want. Especially the dry cold liquor as clear as water went great with the eggplant, and I stuck with the cup overlaid.

"This fried pinch is quite confident."

"Oh, which one?"

You won't have to talk about the compatibility of eggplant with oil now.

Good for tempura. Good for the fry. Fried vegetables are good.

It's no longer a level where it's harder to fry and taste eggplant.

"Yeah, it's delicious, Alice!

And this pinch frying is certainly a huge success.

They cut the eggplant into lengthwise thicknesses of about 5 mm, sandwiched the spring and large leaves with coarsely minced shrimp and pork hiccups, clothed and fried like tempura.

This has already been decided to be delicious, and I know it will go well with alcohol before I eat it.

"Phew."

Alice laughed so happily during the meal.

"What's wrong?

"No, it's not a big deal. It's just, it's kind of fun."

The food and alcohol are delicious, and they surround the table with the Demon King. Alice felt so happy and happy with her normal routine that she didn't know how many times she'd repeated it already.

"Besides,"

"And?"

"Look, neither Lisa nor Cosmos can drink alcohol yet, right? It's my privilege to drink alone with the Demon King like this."

I see, and the Demon King nodded.

Come to think of it, Alice is the only person the Demon King drinks on a one-on-one (Sashi) basis, even if he has something to drink with everyone at some gathering.

"Lisa said she'd be able to drink in a few more years, and although it might be a privilege for a while now. But until then, I'll leave you alone, won't I?

Alice smiled with a face stained with alcohol and a leafy colour.

Sometimes quietly moist, their fall passed gently and calmly.
